“I am so so with Chinese food. Usually picky and really don't like many places. I LOVE their General Tso's chicken!! I mean LOVE it!! We now do a Chinese food night 1x a week just because I NEED this dish in my life!! Their pork fried rice is not greasy and soggy. Also their fried cheese wontons are awesome. Again.....not greasy which is a tough one! Very happy I found this place completely randomly!“

“This place is so homey. As a Thai who hasn't been back home for years, the dishes here really hit the spot. Their crab curry is very aromatic and rich in flavor (with a nice kick too). The softshell crab was so divine and the pork was delicious. We would definitely recommend!“

“Not a big fan of the fish balls but will definitely be back for the rice noodles. Get them with mixed sauce: peanut, soy, hot, and oyster sauce. The owner is a vibe. There is a small area for dine in, with 4 chairs, but food comes in a plastic container that's easy to eat from elsewhere. They do take card but with a fee.“

“Absolutely loved the experience at South of the Clouds! If you’re looking for something beyond typical Chinese food, this place brings authentic Yunnan flavors that are truly unique.

We tried the Yunnan fried stuffed tofu, which was perfectly crispy outside and soft inside, packed with flavor. The traditional Kunming braised noodles were comforting and rich—definitely a must-have. The black truffle fried rice was next-level, super aromatic and indulgent.

The chicken stir-fried noodles were flavorful and well-balanced, and to finish, the fresh coconut cream was refreshing and light—perfect ending to the meal.

The ambiance is cozy and modern, and the service was quick and friendly. Overall, a hidden gem in Jersey City for authentic Chinese cuisine with a twist. Highly recommend!“

“Some dishes here are more solid than others.

What's good which happens to be staples from Taiwanese cuisine:
- Beef Noodle Soup (solid soup base and super tender beef)
- Lo Ba Beng (aka Ru Rou Fan) with fish floss on the side

What's decent:
- BDSM chicken sandwich only (was extremely juicy but didn't have that Taiwanese dust)

What's ok:
- beef stock braided tofu (too bland)
- tater tots that comes with the BDSM chicken sandwich (it's just regular tater tots with a side of ketchup, no special Taiwanese dust)

I went twice during my stay in NYC and they didn't give the condiments (comes in a 3-piece container holder) with the Triple Treasure Noodle Soup and I had to ask for it. Idk why but even then, we didn't get the same chili sauce nor the 3-piece container condiments I had gotten the first time with the Beef Noodle Soup.

My first visit was on a weekday and second visit was on a weekend, but I preferred my weekday visit“

“Restaurant options in NYC are just about endless. But time and again, I come back to The Pho Lexington. Design and decor are simple, modern, and uncluttered. Service is fast, pleasant, and efficient. Prices are quite moderate. And the food is unreal! My favs: The grilled chicken Pho is the best I've ever had. And the Bahn Mi is fantastic“

“I've been to a few ichiran locations and have always been satisfied. Is it the best ramen in the city? Maybe not, but it's a really solid and well balanced bowl that you get to eat in a relatively unique solo booth experience. I love the little booths, it's very relaxing for me to eat in my own little cubby. I will say though, the lines can get long.

As for the actual ramen, last time I went with the classic tonkotsu with all the recommended settings. It didn’t come with an egg by default, which id probably add next time, but otherwise I was happy with it. The broth is the real star of the show - it really exemplifies a classic tonkotsu with the perfect amount of unctuous, creamy mouthfeel and savory, rich flavors. They also give a lot more chashu than I would expect, which is nice. The chashu was super tender, although mildly flavored. The recommended firmness for the noodles was medium, but next time I would definitely go for firm because they were too soft for my liking.

All in all an awesome bowl or ramen with a unique eating experience. Worth checking out for sure!“

Wish I got more meat instead of minced meat (I don’t like minced meat in soup and noodles in general). The service is quick and friendly. “Tangy Noodle is not the typical Chinese restaurant that New Yorkers are used to ordering from. We are accustomed to the traditional looking and tasting fast food menus that we grew up with. Just one look at their menu with the variety of photos of the dishes, makes your mouth water with anticipation. “Such a great hidden gem for lunch. The space is cozy, aesthetic, and thoughtfully decorated — it has that perfect “hole in the wall” charm while still feeling cute and welcoming.

I ordered the lunch special and got the Thai basil fried rice with shrimp, along with soup and fried chicken, all for around $17, which is an amazing value for the portion size. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned.

I also grabbed a Thai iced tea to go for $6, and it was the perfect addition.

The service was attentive and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I didn’t feel rushed at all, which I really appreciated for a solo lunch.
