“Feeling extremely uninspired lately by our local Chinese takeout restaurants in Forest Hills and Rego Park. Prices have gone up, while quality and service have gone down. My husband and I were craving takeout Chinese while planning an outdoor picnic to enjoy Al fresco in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, based on the positive reviews of this place we ventured over to Corona, kind of expecting to be disappointed. But boy were we wrong! The service was friendly, prices were reasonable and the food was quite delicious. In fact, it was as good, if not better than some of the sit down Chinese restaurants we have visited. I love broccoli and theirs did not disappoint. Crisp, fresh and perfectly seasoned. While reviewing a takeout Chinese restaurant it is important to mention the white rice: freshly made, moist and served as a perfect accompaniment to all our dishes. Hot and sour soup is one of my go to take out items. The soup was a bit different because it was so fresh tasting and actually had the umami flavor that one craves when ordering Asian food. The soup had the perfect balance of hot and sour and was topped with fresh large mushrooms and chunks of tofu. I am going to stop my description now so you can go and taste for yourself. Do not be turned off by this unassuming store front with the yellow awning. Looks are deceiving.“

“Popular Chinese takeout spot in corona/east elmhurst. Ordered fried gizzards small and chicken over fried rice. One of the better American takeout spots. Good prices and gizzards are great. They are very popular. Delivery was very delayed but I still like their food. They have own websites and have multiple storefronts. I couldn't find them on the regular food delivery sites. I would recommend!“

“the food is great and of good quality, if theres any complaint its the shrimp which still has the intestines but aside from that all the menu items i’ve tried have always left me satisfied and craving more, i’ve been buying here for the last 6+ years and i’ve gone to other places but this tastes like home to me and I always recommend this place to friends“

“Found this place on google maps when I was looking for some good food after work. The delivery was fast and the food was fresh. I loved the sesame chicken and so did my wife. My new favorite place in the area. I ordered the boneless spare ribs and it was delicious as well.“

“Food was good. It reminded me of my trip to Hong Kong in the 2010's.
You'll need patience for the food since it's just a few people. But the food is worth the wait. I waited outside and the cashier just waved me in when my order was ready. 🙂“

“CheLi in Flushing is legit amazing. That squirrel fish? Super crispy, sweet, tangy — straight-up addicting. The place looks gorgeous too, like old-school China but super clean and chill. Service was on point. Honestly, I’d come back just for that fish.“

“Came here for my anniversary dinner and was blown away by Breeze (pun intended). Easily some of, if not the best Sichuan food we’ve ever had. I got the Winter Frost #2 cocktail and I wasn’t sure what type of flavor I was expecting but it didn’t taste like what I expected in a good way! The cocktail had a mildly sweet, light but depth in flavor profile.
The ginger sauce green beans were some of the best green beans I’ve ever tasted. The sauce they used was addicting. Second favorite item was the diced chicken with chili pepper, which was super spicy but absolutely delicious. But to be honest all of the dishes were home runs! I was just here last night and I’m already daydreaming about coming back to try more dishes.
Also the service was exceptional. The restaurant was full and there were only two guys to cover the front of the house (the hostess, waiter, bartender, and bus boy). They definitely had their hand fulls but still were efficient. Since it was our anniversary dinner they ended up surprising us with a pumpkin rice cake dessert on the house which we thought was the sweetest gesture. I couldn’t have been happier since I absolutely love rice cakes 😋“

“Spicy Village was a wonderful place to have a Christmas meal! Actually, I'd like to rename it "Spicy Cozy Village" if a spicy environment can also be cozy! To start with, they were very gracious by accepting a reservation for 8 people at 6:00. Then they came outside and took our order even before we sat down and so the food was nearly ready by the time we had taken our coats off! The festivities kicked off with a plate of crispy peanuts, which ended up being the chosen appetizer, main course, and dessert for the little guy in our party. We then progressed to delicious dumplings, sesame chicken, spicy lamb huimei, and other delectable specialties! What was so amazing about the experience is that despite packing lots of people into a relatively small square foot area, it did not feel claustrophobic at all; rather it was comfortable and cozy, like sitting at a big table for a family meal at your house (even if it was take-out!!). Overall, Spicy Village was a terrific place for Christmas dinner - and I'm strongly considering coming back here for the 8 days of Hanukkah too!“

“Yingtao offers an elevated dining experience, honoring the owner’s grandmother with both its name and the thoughtful approach to each dish. The restaurant’s sleek, modern interior and open kitchen immediately impress upon entry. The tasting menu is a carefully curated array of dishes with refined flavors, with the duck, toast, foie gras, and nian gao standing out as memorable highlights. The flavors here are subtly layered and delicate, showcasing a restrained elegance that even extends to the desserts, which are perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. Service at Yingtao is exceptional, among the best I’ve encountered. The front-of-house team is attentive and professional, and a special mention goes to Ria, whose deep knowledge of the menu enriched my experience by offering thoughtful insights and explanations. Yingtao is a beautiful homage to family and fine dining—a truly refined experience that’s well worth a visit.“

“I had an amazing experience at Chi! As someone who frequently travels to China for business, I can confidently say the food here is incredibly authentic, delicious, and of high quality. Every dish was a delight, bursting with flavor and prepared with care. The service was equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and remarkably quick. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a true taste of China! Will definitely be back on my next trip!“

“The noodles are amazing, and every dish is customizable. I love the scallion ginger, but I've had other flavors too. I ALWAYS get the seitan, it is so good! I think they make the seitan in house, there's something unique about the texture.“

“good price for food. $12 for a beef noodle soup was not bad. the noodle was soft and thin, which im okay with. the soup was not so special but go well together overall. beef, veggie, soup,.. were all decent. the only thing that kinda surprised me was the food in plastic bowl. hopefully they’ll change it cause you dont want hot food go with plastic container.“

“Juqi was a nice dining experience. Most of the dishes when served were presented in a way to elevate one's dining experience. I was there for a birthday dinner and we were seated in a room. The table felt small at first but the waitstaff knew what to do that it never felt too crowded. Besides the food being good the waitstaff were consistent with changing plates and bringing the next course. Some of the dishes that stood out was the beef and tomato soup, the duck, the black rice that is set on fire (the aroma was pleasing where you're not sure what ingredients were put in) The soups were presented in a small ceramic bowl and tea lights were put underneath to keep it warm. This was a set menu and because there was a lot of food it was hard to keep track. Overall a good dinner out and a nice place for all group sizes to celebrate a special occasion or just a nice evening out.“

“No frills steamed bun & dumpling place, apparently a huge wholesale provider for stores in the area! <$10 to feed two people. In the basement of the mall (East Broadway Mall, under the highway), kinda hard to find, but it’s a vibe when you get there!
The ladies work are so nice. Service is super fast. Cash only.
The buns had a taste that lingered in my mouth all day, but they were good at first bite. I preferred the dumplings (order #2).“

“Truly so good it hurts. I got the Little Pot Rice Noodle and I cried gladly the whole time I ate it. My (even less spice-tolerant) friend went crazy and ordered Schuan Style Spicy Chicken w. Peanut and she loved it. I got her some rice and sweet tea to save her between bites. The cucumber salad is also on the sweet side and a wonderful palate rescue between bites. “I just can’t stop going back for more!” High praise indeed. We’ll be back soon!“

“This is not ordinary Chinese-restaurant food; the dishes are sophisticated and delicious. Great combinations, spices, vegetables. Okra crunchy outside, soft inside. Eggplant hot and peppery, cold chicken chopped with bones in. Never had Szechuan like this. We try to go as often as we can.“

“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“

“The broth is clear and has a simple yet delicate flavor. The fresh ingredients are used, and the savoriness is like a Zen experience. The beef tripe is cooked in a way that preserves its true flavor, unlike the spice-rich ones you usually find at a dim sum place, which is very pleasant.“

“I came here for a friend's birthday dinner and we had an amazing time. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and I love the cozy but very Chinese decor. Our waitress was so nice, easy to talk to, and fun. The service was really quick.
We ordered hot and sour soup, peking pork, string beans, honey walnut shrimp, beef chow fun, short ribs, beef stew and radish casserole, and salted fish and eggplant casserole. Everything was delicious. My favorites were their peking pork, string bean, and casserole dishes. The honey walnut shrimp was good but the portions were okay for a group of 9. The beef chow fun was a great portion but I wish there was more flavor. Loved the short rib. They gave us complimentary watermelon at the end, as well as birthday flan for my friends and I. Had a great time and I think this is the perfect spot for some casual Chinese food with a big group of people (We got 10 dishes and the total ended up being only $240, post-tax for a group of 9! We all left STUFFED).“

“These five skewers: arguably the best thing I've eaten in this city for under $15. The highlight are the mushroom / scallops wrapped in bacon, grilled over coals... For $2.50?! Pinch me, I'm dreaming
It's a grungy corner after dark, but right above the Grant St subway station.“

“Everything we ordered was very good. You don't have to trek down to flushing our Chinatown to have a great Chinese meal. My brother who is very particular with food was also pleased with the taste especially the salt and pepper calamari. We were super early for our reservations but they were kind enough to accommodate us. The place was clean except for the restroom. But that's not going to deter me from giving them a 5 star review. Well done!“

“Wo Hop is a true NYC classic and absolutely worth the visit. The beef chow fun is amazing, but don’t sleep on the vegetable dishes — the Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce and the green beans with black bean sauce are outstanding. The egg rolls are just right, and the pork fried rice is excellent. Add in the old-school staff who keep things moving with charm, and you’ve got one of the best Chinatown dining experiences around. A legendary spot that always delivers!“

“Wow that was delicious. The noodle was so yummy. And the dumpling with the sour sauce was actually yummy! I don’t even like sour stuff that much so this was just enough. I wish we had this in Toronto. Can’t find anything that matches this“

“Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was tasty, the service was good, and everything looked clean. They seated me quickly, and the portions were huge — one dish is definitely enough for two people.
I ordered a tomato noodle soup, but I found it had way too many noodles and not enough vegetables or meat. Also, since most of the broths are pork-based, there aren’t many options if you don’t eat pork. I also tried the mushroom (wood ear) salad, which was fresh and delicious.
In short: the food is good and flavorful, but I’d love to see more balance with the soup (less noodles, more veggies and meat) and a few more non-pork soup options on the menu“
