We went there just to grab something between a soccer game and a violin lesson with my son. I did not expect much thinking this is another Chinese ramen place, but ramen here was surprisingly above my expectation. It is not special, but it tastes like a regular ramen in Japan. “Came here on a cold rainy Thursday for lunch. Looks like a mom and pop restaurant that seats a total of 13 comfortably. We ordered the Combo Ramen and the Yoodon Kimbap. The Combo Ramen (medium spicy) wasn’t that spicy, but good enough for me. It definitely hit the spot on this rainy day. The Yoodon Kimbap is a kimbap that is wrapped in a thin sliced pork cutlet topped with a sauce that they made. This combination worked really well and the soup that it came with paired perfectly with it. I hope to visit again and try their other dishes.“

The best part is how tender and soft the meat is, even the fatty parts melt in your mouth. They offer two types of rice, Lu Rou Fan and Khong Rou Fan. Gua Bao uses the same Khong Rou in Khong Rou Fan. Khong Rou is a large piece of meat with fat and lean parts. Gua Bao uses crushed peanuts and sugar on the meat. If you like big bites of meat, you will probably like this texture. Note that it is relatively greasy compared to other dishes. The crispy fried chicken is quite tender, but a bit salty. The beef in the beef noodles is top-notch, sadly the noodles are too soft and lack chewiness. My personal favorite is Lu Rou Fan. The knife cut noodles are my favorite but the hand pulled noodles is just as good. Noodles have incredible chew and the beef shank is nice and tender and the broth is flavorful yet simple. The interior/atmosphere looks modern and cleaner than other restaurants in the area. Beef noodles had rich broth and bouncy mifen. Comes on a wooden tray with three other small pickled vegetables that you can add yourself. The pork burger or 肉夹馍 had a crispy outside and flavorful inside. Table has dried chilis, chili oil, sriracha, and black vinegar to add yourself. Also they do take card here, but had to tip in cash.“

The burger, dumplings and cold dishes are very good. I’ve brought my family before and they have pitchers of draft Budweiser so they liked it very much. The prices are very reasonable. However, I can’t give it five stars because I’ve seen them wash dishes by hand and it doesn’t seem the most thoroughly clean. The bathroom is also super sketchy. But the second time and this was recent 2 days ago Sunday on 01/14/2024 I was order 266 or 226 I ordered a Tonkatsu ramen and as I was nearing the end of me finishing I happen to find a hair once more. I didn't want to say anything. I didn't want to get reimbursed because normally, this never happens. So I'm just giving a heads up to be more careful serving the food. “One of my favorite places in all of Flushing! The braised rice bowls, sesame chicken soups, and beef noodle soups are all amazing! Also great for Taiwanese popcorn chicken. I have been told the braised pork rice bowl is the best item, but unfortunately I do not eat pork.I usually order on Uber Eats, but the restaurant is clean with great service and in a central location. “We went there on the night of December 3rd. The store is not big but the taste is very good! The chef who cooks the dishes is an authentic Chengdu native. The stir-fried yellow beef is probably the best in Flushing, the Changsha stinky tofu is also very authentic, and the hot and sour rice noodles and spicy mix are very fragrant! The spiciness is still there, so it’s recommended not to try medium or hotter than the first time you come here (unless you’re confident that you can eat spicy food). The stinky tofu is crispy and chewy. Most importantly, the guy who served us, Nino, was very polite, enthusiastic and sincere. After we tried to ask for spicy ingredients (because it was so delicious!), he generously gave us a lot of it, and carefully introduced how to use it to make it delicious. In order to pursue perfection, he also gave us sesame sauce, regardless of what we asked for during the whole process. He helped us solve everything one by one. In short, I highly recommend this restaurant, whether you eat by yourself or bring friends. By the way, they are closed on Monday.“

Unfortunately, when we arrived home we realized we were given the wrong order and immediately called them and they kindly Ubered our correct order to us without any charge and let us keep the wrong order. We ordered: 1. Scallion pancakes with sliced beef - a favorite 2. Steamed bbq pork buns - huge and pork was delicious but too much dough to meat ratio 3. Sesame chicken - too much dough 4. Chicken with broccoli - healthy option and delicious They had a promotion and gifted us 6 pork soup dumplings which were a fav as well. I will definitely order from here again for more dim sum style food as there are so many things I wanted to try. I also like that they have frozen options for dim sum to take home and make yourself. I recommend picking the order up to check out the food bizarre as well.“

“3.75* This was an interesting restaurant experience because the name suggests Americanized Chinese takeout (which they do offer) but they surprisingly also offer authentic Cantonese roast meats like soy sauce chicken, roast pork, and roast duck when the owners are not even Cantonese (imagine my confusion). I have a friend who lives in the area so we've gotten food to-go from here a few times now. Their soy sauce chicken was quite average, on the salty side, unevenly cut, and pieces of bone were found everywhere. Nothing to write home about. In fact, I didn't even bother to take pictures. Luckily their duck lives up to the name - the roast duck, that is. I tried both the roast duck and the Peking duck. It's the cheapest price point I've ever seen Peking duck sold for but if I must be honest, besides the noticeably crispier skin compared to the normal roast duck, it doesn't even taste like Peking duck. The meat of the Peking duck is under-seasoned and dry, and the wraps they give you are literally tortillas, not the traditional thin Peking duck wrap - the Peking duck's crispy skin was really its only saving grace so I'm not likely to get it again. Now onto my favorite thus far: the roast duck was flavorful with no gaminess and was more on the oily side but that helps lock the moisture in the meat so that it remains juicy and tender (I just tap the oil off each piece I grab onto some rice or the sides of the container). The roast pork is decent but a little heavy on the food coloring and not as sweet as it generally should be. There are far better options for that in Flushing. I like that most things on the menu are budget friendly and they have loads of options so even if you're not into Canto cuisine, you're very likely to find something you like at an economical pricepoint. Honorable mentions: Buffalo wings and chicken nuggets (for our picky eaters!)“

Small, hole in the wall, regeonal food joint.The food is excellent! No joke.I had spicy spare rib chow mein ($14). My wife had duck leg noodle soup ($10).Total with tip cane to $26 & change. We left $31.The portions are big. The soup was glistening. & rich. The duck leg was savory and it’s skin had just the right amount of crispiness.The chow mein is big pile of pan fried noodles sitting in a deep dish of thick pork & fermented black bean sauce. With chunks of roasted spare ribs. Very tasty. Though the menu says it’s spicy I couldn’t decerne any hotness in the my order. So, I asked for two small dishes of hot chili oil to add to the dish. I used all of the chili. I probably could have used a third dish of hot chili oil, but that’s just me liking my food extremely spicy.Neither of us could not finish our food. I ate half of my order. She finished about two thirds of her soup. We took the leftovers home.For $31 we got four meals. About $7.75 a meal. A damn good price for some damn good food.The place isn’t fancy. They do some food prep in the dining room. Din’t bring a first date here. But if you just wanna eat well and not spend tons of dough, this is the place for you.I reccommend this place highly. “We were looking for a place to celebrate our daughter’s first birthday. We live in Manhattan and needed a place where we could host up to 80 people with easy parking and good food. All of the usual ideas weren’t cutting it for us so my father-in-law who lives in Woodmere suggested Jackie’s place as an option. My wife was a little hesitant at first. I think she had her mind made up with some of the more traditional options like an ice cream parlor or room somewhere with catering. But her father and Jackie talked some more and sent her pictures of the location and the idea of hosting here grew on her.Jackie had never hosted this kind of party but he and my wife worked out the details in terms of setting up a buffet, the right cost per person, the time (on Feb 10, Chinese New Year) and the decorations. Everyone was a little nervous, including her father who kind of felt like he set us up on a blind date: we hadn’t had the food or actually visited the place.Cut to the party and it wound up being absolutely amazing in every regard. My biggest concern was the food. My family loves Chinese and who knew it would be so delicious. I knew the other details would be fine in the end and people being together would make the party fine regardless, but bad food would have been trouble. Not only was the food not bad, it was truly Delicious! We had trays of dumplings, spring rolls, cold sesame noodles (often tough to get good ones but not here!), Sesame chicken, pork chow fun, shrimp with vegetables, lo meins, fried rices, Mongolian beef, and lots more. We figured we would have food to take home and were shocked at just how little left overs there were. And this was not due to lack of volume but instead to how much everyone ate.I could say lots more about Jackie’s first time hosting an affair like this, and about him as a host, and about the party being so successful. But bottom lines are these:1. If hosting a kid’s birthday or other such event at a Chinese restaurant wasn’t a thing, it should be now2. Call Jackie to host your next event. You won’t be sorry3.
