For our mains, the Branzino and pork katsu were absolute highlights. Both were beautifully cooked, with rich, nuanced flavors in the proteins themselves and the accompanying sauces that elevated each bite.

To finish, a lovely ice cream dessert brought a perfect close to an extraordinary meal. Crown Shy offers a more accessible and relaxed take on Michelin-starred dining in New York City—truly an experience I highly recommend.“

“Noortwyk is somewhere I keep coming back to! I’ve been with friends, with my entire team, on a date, for dinner and for brunch. It’s one of my fav spots in the west village and one that you can usually get a reservation at relatively last minute - a HUGE plus!!

For brunch I enjoyed their breakfast sandwich and cinnamon roll - ileene cho is their pastry chef who is amazing!!

For dinner I love the kale salad, bucatini, bbq duck and their parker house seeded roll with cultured butter (so good we always end up ordering two!).

I used to love their original Mille Feuille but have been disappointed by their 2.0 version which they’ve ‘deconstructed’. This no longer feels like a premium dessert/Mille Feuille but instead more a random pieces of puff pastry on top of some bananas and cream. Please bring back 1.0!! :)

Service I find is a little inconsistent - first few times I went service was very attentive, welcoming and helpful but on my most recent trip it was less so.“

“I typically avoid writing restaurant critiques, given my years of experience in the industry. However, my recent visit to Gramercy Tavern compelled me to share my thoughts due to the disappointing experience. I was excited to dine at the bar after waiting half an hour for a seat. I ordered my usual drink, appetizer, and main dish, knowing the restaurant’s reputation for excellence. However, things took a turn when I stepped away to use the restroom. During that brief moment, my belongings—two bags—were removed and given to the coat check staff without my knowledge. When I returned, I was unceremoniously escorted to the exit, which left me confused and uncomfortable. At the reception, I tried to express my concerns, but the staff was dismissive. I requested to speak with a manager, but the coat check attendant firmly stated there was nothing to discuss and closed the door in my face. This treatment was not only unprofessional but also disheartening, especially after spending $145 on my meal. It’s unfortunate that a great dining experience was overshadowed by poor service and a lack of accountability. I hope the management reviews this situation to prevent it from happening to others in the future.“

This is fine dining that also puts you at ease as a customer. Service is polite, prompt, but never overbearing. The dishes like being reintroduced to old friends. “Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food.The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

“Our entire experience was amazing. The staff were super helpful, kind and knowledgeable. They recommended dishes to us as well as what made sense for a caviar tasting. We shared one of their tastings and it was enough for 2 people. We added a few side dishes as well and were graciously gifted dessert. The space itself is beautifully decorated. Fun place to host a girls meals or group dinner as well as a date night.“

“Had a wonderful brunch today at Hudson Clearwater. The smoothie was outstanding. This is a quaint rustic spot and deserves all the love for their vegan friendly menu. I chose the blackened fish sandwich and it did not disappoint. The Cole slaw on the brioche bun, lightly covered with tarter sauce, made for a perfect sandwich. Their fries were delectable as well. Great service, and a great meal with my sweetheart.“

“I had to take one star off because this is definitely not a fine dining experience even though that is what they advertise themselves as. If it were not for the food I would have given this a two star review.

The experience was not pleasant. We were seated at a makeshift table, where the window was right behind me. My seat was the bench to the window (essentially where people sit to wait to be seated). I do not know if this is an everyday thing or because they were overbooked but this was not pleasant. The table was right next to the door, so everytime the door opens the wind blasts at us (it did not help that there was a kid that was running in and out of the restaurant). Other guests were standing right next to our table hovering right over us as we were eating and because they were waiting to be seated. For a "fine dining" restaurant there was nothing "fine dining" to it.

The food however was very good. The blending of Asian influences with a modern approach was very nice. The fried chicken was incredible. The inside was still super juicy and soft while the outside was very crispy. That was our favorite dish of the night.“
