At the time they were running a special with scallops, steak and then we also had the potatoes aun gratin. The service was over the top amazing. I have been to my fair share of steakhouses but this was the first time my napkin was placed on my lap for me. All of the food was delicious and all I wanted to do after I left was roll into bed. “Went in for a quick bite before a Mavs game…did not disappoint. Had the steak and frites…basic (the dish), but perfectly prepared and delicious. My wife had the chicken piccata. The orzo was a bit soupy but taster very good. Alan took care of us and was very helpful, pleasant, and knew his restaurant. Had the Texas Cabernet and it was delicious. A neighborhood steakhouse—a little loud but welcoming. A lot of families.“

“One of our favorite places in Dallas! While DDW has a lot of restaurants, it’s definitely quantity over quality. We’ve had a lot more bad meals than good, but that’s never the case at Al Biernat’s!Every single thing we’ve had here is amazing. My husband ordered breakfast last weekend, and I tried his bacon. It felt like the first time I’ve had real bacon in a decade, lol!My go to meal is the shrimp and mango ceviche. A must! Their mojitos are fabulous (thanks, Griff), and their bread basket is a must. “Food is always outstanding. Service past two times has been disappointing. The wait persons that we have had past two times seem to forget about us. At times items we have ordered are not brought. They seem to favor other tables. That has been an issue when they sit us on the left side of the restaurant. When we have sat at the main hall service seems to be far more attentive. It appears the they assign less experienced wait staff to that left corner section. It is as if they are in training. Our lesson is that in the future we will request to sit in main hall. When you dine at this restaurant, a Dallas institution, you pay top dollar for high quality food and service, you should expect and get that. If we are going to get a wait person that is inexperienced or in training, maybe we should get a training discount. It has been disappointing lately. I am giving the restaurant 4 stars because the food and ambiance are excellent, but if we continue to have disappointing service in the future, we might not be as accommodating.“

“This is my second time going to 12 cuts but 1st time goers for my friends visiting for the weekend and for my boyfriend & I it was an even better experience (that's rare since it's usually the same or worse at restaurants when you revisit)! The food and sides came out so fast the turnaround of refills were so fast I didn't even notice. What I love most is that the managers are working with their employees as well checking tables filling up waters just hands on management and that's amazing! My friends loved their experience too! I'm a well done person (I know, I know, that's not how you eat a steak), but when it's still incredibly tender and flavorful then you know you have some great cooks. Our waitress Shay was the best, we will definitely ask for her every return visit we make to the restaurant. Very funny, personable, and made great recommendations. Yall are very lucky to have an employee like Shay on your staff and she's a great representative of the high quality and service you'd expect at a restaurant like this.“

My favorite dish was the snow crab scampi, which I almost didn't order I probably could have had 5 orders and I'm not a big seafood person.Salmon crispy rice was also fantastic, great flavor and textures throughout. Lobster escargot was scary to try, to be fair, I wasn't the one who ordered but I'm not a fan of escargot. Apparently, it's only called lobster escargot due to the dish it's cooked in and doesn't actually contain escargot--the puff pasty was golden, flaky and paired well.My least favorite was the pressed tuna. It has truffle oil and it was VERY overwhelming. Like, my nose doesn't even work, l've had 3 nasal surgeries and can't even smell farts...and I smelled this from a mile away. It was very potent and really killed the dish for us. The meatball was good but I think I prefer smaller meatballs although this giant one was cool to try once. Great staff, very accommodating and attentive. Bar seats are the best in the house! Will be back to try out happy hour (M-F 4-6 half off martinis and pizzas)“

“Very nice restaurant with good service. The server was super friendly and introduced the history of restaurant after greeting us. To our surprise, the pickle in the table was not decoration but edible. And it tasted pretty good. We tried Wayu tomahawk steak, mixed green salad, sautéed spinach and mushroom. All tasted fantastic. The steak was tender, perfect seasoning, perfect amount of fat. The mixed green salad was fresh and tasty. The dessert was fantastic too. This place was always busy. “My team was in town for a conference and I had to take them to Perry's. We were a group of six. The service was top notch. Our courses were timed perfectly and each course was served at the same time. No waiting for plates which is important with a group. Everything was promptly cleared as we finished. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with not only the service, the "fancy" restaurant, but the Texas sized portions of everything. I warned them in advance to wear stretchy pants. Very pleasant experience. My food: White chocolate cheesecake not smooth, a little chunky 6/10; macaroni very creamy and cheesy a meal on its own 9/10; sausage was such a huge helping. Nice flavor 8/10; escargot was meaty but surprisingly in bbq. Once you get past that, it was pretty ok 7/10“
