“A++ experience. Every single bite was outstanding, but in particular the kanpachi and shima aji were all particularly delicious for me. The staff do a great job of giving each party a personalized experience while dining with the full group of 12.
What sets Craft apart from other omakase restaurants is not just the attention to detail of each dish, the elevated simplicity, or execution - it's the non-sushi dishes. On this occasion it was chawanmushi and shrimp aguachile with leche de tigre; in the summer, a beautifully composed compressed watermelon dish was memorable.
Come to Craft to celebrate a special occasion or just because you want an incredible meal you will never forget. They will surprise and delight you every time, and you won't regret it. The Michelin star is very well deserved.“

“Celebrated my boyfriends birthday here and had a great time! We love this place and have been a few times, but the little things they did for him were really sweet. Absolutely loved the polaroid they took at the end of our meal!! Such a fun touch.“

“Uroko is one of my favorite lunch spots in Austin! The hand rolls are absolutely delicious and use the highest quality ingredients. Their specialty rolls are all creative and tasty. Because of its popularity, there can be a bit of a wait during peak times, but they have an option to order ahead.“

“I ate here while in town for Afrotech! I started with the Sunomono Salad (Cucumber, green onion, crab stick, octopus, radish sprouts, sesame seeds with ponzu sauce). I then had two rolls: 1. Who’s Your Daddy? (no rice) (Deep fried crab, cooked shrimp, cream cheese with special sauce); 2. I Love Tuna (in: spicy Tuna, cucumber out: Blue fin Tuna, green onion sauce: Garlic ponzu, green onion, masago) EVERYTHING was amazingly good, the staff was very friendly, efficient, and ensured you had a great dining experience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

“Korean review: really inexpensive and one of the only places in South Austin to get your Korean food fix. I know other reviews had some service problems but experienced NONE of that. Greeted immediately when walking in, we picked our seats and had multiple staff during our hour and a half stay check up on us even with a crowd of others arriving after us. We got the Kimbap appetizer split it for two (was delicious didn't need anything else like a sauce - perfect on it's own!). I got the beef bulgogi and my friend got the Rock Bibimbap with spicy pork (like regular Bibimbap but in a hot pot!). YALL LEMME TELL YOU THIS WAS SO GOOD. I was having an emotional experience with these flavors. Banchan selection was good too. Got 6 of them and one of them kimchi. I'll be back for take out and eventually try out the Japanese and Sushi portion of the menu.“

“The food was good and the presentation was clean and creative. The sashimi and nigiri pieces were quite large—I ended up cutting them into bite-sized pieces with my chopsticks. The handrolls were a good size and easy to eat. The menu doesn’t offer much variety, but now I know: if I want more options, I’ll just go elsewhere. Still, a solid spot if you know what to expect.“

“TL;DR: If you can get a booking, this is the best sushi in Austin hands down.
I haven't been to Jiro's place from Jiro Dreams of Sushi in Japan, nor have I been to Omakase in NYC. I have had my fair share of sushi, not only in Austin but the likes of Toronto, London, and Paris. So far Tsuke Edomae is my favorite and at the top of the list.
We originally booked this for my birthday in April, however they had to move us as the chef was going back and forth to Japan on a frequent basis to gain additional experience from his mentor. Originally I was very upset that we had to move the original reservation and we were able to find a date suitable for myself and a few of my friends.
There were a lot of things to overcome that were situational and environmental in order to make this possible. Let me explain; the day that I went we had a severe thunderstorm watch in this particular area. We then had a few servings of sushi and the storm came and it was very strong with hail and gale force winds. All of my friends, including myself, were concerned about our cars that were parked outside. Then soon after the storm passed the fire alarm started to ring in the building. We thought that would be a short duration, however it was almost 25 to 30 minutes before we were able to even get to the next serving of sushi. We even had to go to the market next door to buy some cotton balls to put in our ears in order to endure the loudness of the alarm. The hostess was so gracious to ask if we wanted to continue or cancel/reschedule the reservation. My friends and I are troopers so we assured the hostess that we were going to commit to waiting out the alarm and not let any of these freak of nature events, literally, dampen our night.
Okay enough about the setup. Let's talk about sushi. The sushi is amazing! The service is spectacular. The environment is inviting, cozy, and fun. We had the sake flowing...
The first piece was a white fish with creme fraiche and tobiko. The crispiness of the skin was on point, the fish wasn't overly marinated yet the saltiness of the tobiko with the creme fraiche gave it a richness and saltiness that really balanced well. Well it was a true piece of art.
The chu toro and the akamai tuna were marinated in soy sauce and presented in a way that was so appetizing. It was perfectly marinated and not overly salty.
We had skipjack tuna and Japanese jack mackerel both were so fresh, well balanced and not fishy at all. Mackerel does have a tendency to be a little bit more fishy than other fishes. However, you can definitely taste the freshness here and it DID NOT have any fishy taste to it.
You have an option to add on otoro and/or uni. The otoro literally just melts in your mouth and was so good, whereas the uni had the right level of creaminess and brininess that you would expect for very fresh uni. I highly recommend adding on these pieces to your experience.
It is a testament to chef Mike, his attention to detail, and culinary talent as my wife who does not eat raw fish in fact ate every piece. She said that she enjoyed it. This is after almost 12 years of trying to get my wife to eat proper nigiri sushi.
Thank you Chef Mike for a wonderful evening. It was a memorable one and thank you for introducing my wife to a whole new level of sushi. We will definitely try to be back if we can get a reservation. Highly Recommend...“

“Only next level Japanese dining enthusiasts would be able to immediately recognize that they have chosen well. If you are lucky enough to discover the Happy Hour menu then you’ve hit the jackpot. Do yourself a favor and go because ain’t nobody have dry aged fish! What?!? Yes this separates Lucky Robot from the rest of the Japanese places in Austin. Put it on the bucket list folks!“

“I had the tonkatsu ramen with chashu pork. They have the option to where you can pair up your choice of broth and choice of protein, that's pretty cool. It was very filling and I left with a full belly. I didn't notice the bowl was chipped until halfway through the meal, they should probably get rid of it.
It was my first time trying sashimi and it was really tasty!“

“I love sushi hi, I’ve been getting sushi each visit but this time I tried the udon noodles and they were superb. Love the garlic edamame as well! Affordable rolls and interesting options I’ve never had. I like the pickles ingredients for sushi rolls as well.“
“Great chain grocery store, we visit every time we come to Austin, fantastic range of fresh and dry products. Could spend hours here on a hot day just wandering around checking out the displays. Cannot wait to visit again. TIP: This is Texas so remember to buy your wine before Sunday. If you’ve found this review helpful, I would appreciate a thumbs up below.“

“An unforgettable dining experience. Chef Endo and his team provided the greatest omakase journey in Austin. Each new course complimented the previous and built a wonderful foundation of tastes from the Edo period coupled with flavorful cocktails using Japanese liquors. The chef and staff were great company, telling fun stories and laughing with all of us. I was beyond elated when he played guitar after the last course, even tremolo-picking the Happy Birthday song to my girlfriend and two others celebrating. If you love incredible gastronomic adventures and great company, you have to experience Endo.“

“Delicious hand rolls and sashimi. Joel and Jasmine served up some tasty treats and walked us through their favorites.
I only took a photo of the cute mochi ice cream sliced down the middle to share.
Only drawback is the first street traffic noise, but 100% coming back here.“

“We are staying in the Domain for the weekend. We arrived at dinner time on a Friday. We walked into the Plank and immediately sat at the bar. We had the Boiled Oysters and a Spicy Tuna Sushi roll. Both were excellent! The vibe was quiet, with the restaurant about 30% full. Our bartender was average; he may have been busy as the only bartender. The Plank isn’t a bad choice if you are looking for seafood.“

“this is one of the first restaurants I went to in Austin. 5 years ago and its still a favorite. love the vibe, it's never too busy, the food is delicious and the owners are nice. Today my pregnancy baby brain kicked in and I forgot my purse there and didn't notice for over 2 hours, they set it aside for me at their reserved table so no one would take it. Love drunk fish ❤❤“

“We rented a cabana and pool pass, but Mother Nature had other plans and rained on our parade! We went upstairs to Marker 10 to get some food and enjoy the view. The pozole was tasty and filling, while the crudo had a nice kick to it. The peach cobbler comes in a cast iron plate with vanilla ice cream! We also appreciated the hospitality; the manager noticed that we were there for the pool pass only and comped our meal due to the weather. That was great service!“

“I would like to respectfully start with; I’ve been to Uchi multiple times over the years and will never forget my first experience (which will always be the best in my mind.) That being said — tonight might have been the closest to first I’ve ever had. Chance, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, easy going, brought some of the best plates when we asked “bring us what you like/anything you think we missed” literally 12/10 would recommend. Ask for Chance, he knows his shiiiiiiii* and made our night absolutely amazing and something we will never forget!“
