“My husband and I were visiting Amarillo and Lubbock and didn’t taste African food for days. So we googled African food and ordered their grilled tilapia, okra and fufu . We also ordered their baked egg snack. Everything we ordered was just so delicious. I Wish I had googled them the very first day I arrived. I am lazy on making reviews but it won’t be fair not to make a review and share this with others who will be craving African food when they are in the Lubbock area.”

“We enjoyed our first visit here. Everything we ordered was delicious. The CFC was lightly breaded, crispy, and juicy. The biscuits are fluffy and flaky, crispy and flavorful. The gravy is the perfect consistency and flavorful. The pies are dang delicious. And to top it off, Patricia gave great friendly service! My only complaint, the breeze of the ceiling fans… but that’s not that big of an issue.”

“The first time I tried it was when I got some cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday! I continue to go back as the cupcakes, cookies, cheesecake bites, and even gelato are good! I have yet to find a treat that isn’t delicious. I think my favorite is the red velvet cupcake but all compliments to everything we have tried.”

“Oh dang!! I ordered a lemon flavored Stitch inspired cake for my granddaughter`s birthday. It was delicious and decorated perfectly. The lemon was very subtle but definitely flavorful. I also ordered a dozen brownies and everyone said they were the best brownies they ever had... baked perfectly, thick, perfect chocolate taste, moist. I'll definitely be back as a repeat customer!”

“Pulled up to Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi and that Chili Pork Ramen was hitting. The broth had a nice spicy kick, noodles were perfect, and the soft egg was cooked just right. Every bite was flavorful.

On top of that, the waitress Sabina who helped me was super polite, attentive, and had a great smile. Service like that always makes the experience even better.

“Well, I would have posted a raving review about J&B Coffee until the barista wanted to approach me and my service dog group to tell us that they “don’t normally allow dogs in” the shop. There were 20-30 people talking with grinders & other machinery going in a loud “garage-like” acoustics in this concrete floored building when my dog tried communicating with me with a single Woof. It was not 30seconds before the skinny female barista made it over for her admonition. Well, I’m thinking she could use some ADA training before she gets the place into trouble. Her and her cat can live a happy life together.”

It would be a crime not to enjoy it as it pairs perfectly with the meal. If you happen to get Shelby as your server, you’ll enjoy the perfect meal. Mine was finished off with the key lime pie. I’m one happy patron!”

When you go some place to have a comfortable breakfast, it's either made better or bummer by the caliber of service, and Amaris is really really good at making you feel welcomed and taken care of. “I came here on a work trip, though ive been here several times during college at ttu. the menu is huge, the atmosphere is perfeeeect for A texmex restaurant, and the staff was unbelievably patient with me when I needed them to look up a receipt from my visit so I could reimburse my meal through work. we played a bit of phone tag,but they were able to get me my receipt with a patience and consideration you really dont find often in restaurant hospitality anymore, it seems. kudos, and thank you! :D”

This place has such flavor food, it honestly impressive I don't hear more people talk about it. It takes a little bit to get your food, but at least you know it's fresh. I highly recommend!”

“The Monomyth in Lubbock Texas: Nowadays I find myself in the Yee-Haw part of the state. That means that the coffee can double as paint thinner, and the coffee shops are designed off of prisons. Recently however, I had the chance to see an Don Giovanni in Lubbock Texas, where the person who played Don Octavio stole the show. He did nothing to help, and sang beautifully. Remarkable. While in Lubbock for my crossover episode with all the old Wesley +Laureen, we went to the Monomyth, a Coffee Shop. No only was the shop not a prison, but the coffee didn't come with its own chemical code. While that is all well and good, it invites something different to fill the gap, hipsters, and hipsters they were. Styled beards, flannel shirts, flared mustaches, light leather boots, jeans, and man buns. I felt as if I was behind enemy lines and it was difficult to get my bearings, so that I could order. I'm not fluent in hipster, but I can hold a conversion, so I was confident in my ability to order. "Should I do drip or bar" "We have a single origin Honduras on Bar" which caused Don Octavio's eyes to shoot out lasers and him to rip off his shirt revealing the Honduran Flag tatted on his chest. At least that's how I imagine he felt. "Sounds good, I'll have a latte" He corrected me, "You'll have a cap" And a cappuccino I had, and he was right it is what I wanted. I just didn't know. A near perfect barista experience where they can size me up and correct my order based on what they know they have and what they think I want and be correct about it. As for the drink itself, the milk was over steamed with visible bubbles, and while their was foam art it would have benefited from a slower initial pour. However, the espresso did a hard carry. The sweetness melded with the sour to make a thoroughly enjoyable drink. If I were to go again I would get just the espresso, the milk only took away from what I can surmise to be the unyielding power of Honduras.”

“Y'all, this is our new go-to in Lubbock! We had a second to chat with Ben, the owner, after we finished our incredible dinner and then we loved it even more! The menu is so varied that everyone can find SOMETHING and the prices and portions are incredible! We had the egg and cheese grilled cheese, the club on a croissant, the chicken and waffles and a 1/2 beef, 1/2 mozzarella cheese Korean corn dog with potato, plus two spiral potatoes, and we could not have loved it more! The restaurant was clean and organized and he said he is even aware of what music he plays so as to be family friendly! This will absolutely be our new must have!”

The crust was crisp, extra toppings and we even had some to take home. We LOVE Parry’s and will definitely enjoy dinner there again! Very friendly and helpful staff!”

“The food was good and service was friendly. However there is one thing that needs to be addressed. When the cashier hands you the cups, she puts her fingers inside the cup. This is unsanitary. Please train your employees to handle the cups from the outside and NOT put their fingers inside the cups. I haven’t eaten inside the restaurant in awhile, but I usually place to go orders.”

“We live out of town and have enjoyed dining at Picoso’s when we are in Lubbock. The staff is always super friendly and courteous, and we’ve been very impressed with the food.

Our daughter graduated from Texas Tech in December, and we reached out to Picoso’s about catering a party we did that afternoon. Everything was fantastic! The delivery was prompt, and our guests commented how tender the meat was and how flavorful the food was!

I even received a follow-up from Katy, who helped coordinate things for our event, which I thought was so kind. I highly recommend Picoso’s for dining and catering—wonderful food and service!”

There were about 10 things we both wanted to try, but we settled on a Bloody Mary and these two amazing dishes. I had the Avocado Caprese Toast with potatoes and he had the Texas Migas with queso! Yall! It was fantastic! The service was superior and it was a fun atmosphere. We sat inside but they do have a patio and we plan to go back this week for dinner. 🙌 So if you are looking for a great brunch place on the weekend or just a new place, give this a try! “Coming home from the DMV I decided to get a quick bite and chose Taco Villa. I got a #6, 2 crunchy beef tacos and a 32 oz root beer, my husband wanted 2 soft beef tacos. They gave me enough mild salsa so I could smother my tacos but they were SO good, a nice, thick slice of tomato and shredded cheddar, oh, yum! I order for delivery a lot and will add this store, can't wait to try a taco salad if they have it.”

Meatloaf Monday is a favorite and you can only get it on Monday. Portions are large enough that my wife and I split them. I think the cooks name is Kayro. I would kidnap him if I were to open an eatery. Jaycee is an excellent manager and waitress, always has a big smile. All the customers always seem to have a great time. Hospitality is wonderful, great food and a great venue.”

“This was my first time here and we loved it! You seat yourself and within a couple of minutes your waitress/waitor will be taking your drinks. The menu is already on the table so it gives you time to think of an appetizer as well! We got the TX nachos and it was delicious!! For my entree I got a Philly sandwich with spicy fries. The Philly was very mayo but that's how I like it😋 the fries had a nice flavor and was crispy. The prices were amazing for the portioning as well! I will definitely be back and I'll be trying more or th menu as well! Definitely will be back!!!!”
