“Recently went to Twin Peaks and had one of the best experiences with my waitress Deasiah. She made sure my family had great understanding of the menu items and suggested some favorites since it was our first time, not only that but she ensured all meals were okay and was very patient with us since we sent back orders to be heated more than once. But overall the food was very tasty but not well heated, I would definitely try it again.”

“For the last three years my friend and I go to Sequin to pick up girls from Texas Girls State. We found this restaurant and have been back each year. The food is incredible and the service is friendly. This year we discussed that eventhough we will both be retired, we will need to volunteer to bring the girls next year just to go to this restaurant. I had ordered spicy lobster dumplins and Tom Young noodle soup. I could not believe how great the soup was. The dumplins were good, but I had to transport the soup home. The next night my husband and I shared the rest of the soup, and my husband could not believe how flavorful the soup was and could we get more. I may have to travel to San Maros just to get more soup.”

I was impressed by the cleanliness and expediency. The food was better than I remembered it being, and my children enjoyed the play scape.”

“We recently moved to San Marcos and visited Roughhouse Brewing for the first time on Friday evening. On a map, it seemed a lift to get there, but it was less than 20 minutes and an easy drive from our house in South San Marcos - glad we finally did it! This is a beautiful property and building. The staff was friendly and let us try plenty of beer samples before deciding. The beer is quality, and I appreciate they have some wine selections for someone who isn't a beer drinker or doesn't feel like beer during their visit. We really appreciated that they have a kitchen. It's mainly bar snacks and sandwiches, but the sandwich combinations they offer are top notch. We had the queso (great!), the Roughhouse Reuben and Big Italian, both excellent. Highly recommend folks visit Roughhouse!”

“Went ahead and tried the bacon egg and cheese with jalapeño cheddar bagel, and let me tell ya….The presentation was spot on! The bagel was cooked perfectly with a slight crisp on the outside and soft on the inside! I’d say there was an adequate amount of cream cheese on it, but I’m thinking with a bit heavier on the schmear. It wound without a doubt knock your socks off, but that’s my personal opinion. All in all I score it an 8.7/10 !

“I had my first sub a 12 inch and I'm telling you it was so filling and very tasteful and loaded. I have never tasted a sub as good as this one and will certainly go back and either try another sub or sandwich or anything else they have their. My grandson loved their Mac and cheese for sure. My hubby enjoyed his side dish of tomatoes and cucumbers very fresh and tasty too!. The 12 inch sub was a little too much for us but it were super great and will not go to waste for I will continue to eat up the remainder of it. I'll need to try their Carrot Cake next visit and believe me there will be many from now on. Thank You McAllister the employees were very nice and quickly to do orders. Got a little busy but they all worked together to serve customers as quick as possible. Thank you again, I went to the one by the KOBE Restaurant in San Marcos. Excellent choice!”

The beautiful and courteous woman informed me that it is made from scratch so it would be a while. No problem, as I was waiting I almost ordered a breakfast sandwich for the next day because a gentleman was smacking on a juicy one at a table. Nevertheless, I went outside to talk on the phone and the cook came to apologize about the time (but it had only been 20 minutes). She offered me an absolutely delicious mouth water brisket sandwich with the bread toasted to perfection. It was so good, I almost forgot about the sauce and it was good too! I scarfed it down and had some succulent catfish too…MMMM! The ladies were so professional, friendly, and delightful you need to zip on down to Zippliners!”

I love that I'm able to find wine here that I can't find anywhere else, as well as chat and get proper recommendations from actual Sommeliers. It's an absolute pleasure. “Ordered takeout for my bday and I got treated like a thief. I went in and said I was picking up for (my name) and they asked for my last name which usually never happens. The other order did not have the same first name as me either. I looked past it because at least they’re making sure I am actually the person it belongs to, but I was missing a drink so I told her and she looked at me blankly and said “can I see your receipt?” It was just in a tone that didn't sound very friendly. I still showed her the receipt because why would I lie after I was just interrogated to get my sandwich? 😭”

“I live on campus right now and Harris is near to my dorm. It’s quite far away from most of the dorms. The food here is good you can find almost everything you want in a week, just the time has to be perfect as the manu changes everyday.”
