“My mom and I joined a tour group from Seattle to Banff national park and stopped here for dinner. The food that the tour group ate was wonderful and ate vegetarian fried rice, beef tendon in teriyaki sauce and others. The service was wonderful and that there were lots of people there.“

“We had a fantastic dim sum experience about a year ago at a different location, which was helped by having a large group of 20—plenty of dishes to sample. This time, it was just the three of us, so we kept it light with six dishes. Unfortunately, the Thai-style chicken feet didn’t go over well with the family—the strong vinegar flavor and unusual texture were a far cry from the traditional braised and steamed version that’s typically tender and flavorful. That said, the rest of the dishes were enjoyable and tasted freshly made, which definitely elevated the overall quality.
Prices are noticeably higher than what we’re used to in Seattle, though we haven’t tried other spots in the area yet. That said, the portion sizes here are nearly double, which helps justify the cost. Service didn’t quite match the upscale feel of the restaurant, but we didn’t encounter any issues. And even without a reservation, we were seated right away.
Note on my rating scale: Sharing this for transparency, as I recognize that a 3-star review may be misinterpreted as reflecting a mediocre experience.
5 stars – Exceptional: Outstanding food, service, and/or overall experience. Truly worth going out of your way for. (For example, we frequently make the drive from San Antonio to Austin just for Uchi.)
4 stars – Very Good: Exceeds expectations in quality, service, or ambiance.
3 stars – Good: A solid experience that meets expectations. I consider any place with 3 stars or above worthy of a return visit.
2 stars – Disappointing: Falls short in food quality or service.
1 star – Poor: Not recommended.“

“It was a Saturday night when I booked a birthday party dinner. Needed reservations because it was a busy place. Their food is mostly Cantonese style done well. Prices are on the higher side but I thought it was done well. Room was really loud maybe because there were 5 tables celebrating something. Staff was very involved with clapping and singing birthday songs for all the tables. I would definitely come back.“

“The food here is pretty good and we didn’t experience any poor service. The wait staff were actually really nice. There was one lady who we didn’t have much interaction with who seemed to have a bit of an attitude.
The free 2hr parking below ground is really good. The place is overall fairly comfortable. They have nice high ceilings and it doesn’t feel too loud or crowded inside.“

“Went for dim sum and want to let you know that dim sum is only served at lunch. Fantastic food and service. Ordered things not on menu and easily accommodated. Even brought us scissors when they saw us struggling with knife. Highly recommend.“

“Tried their beef noodles ? it was pretty good for the pricing but the reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because they do offer some cool homemade stuff to take home if you ever wish like their homemade beef Jerky and their spicy sauce if you want to add it to a soup you make at home.“

“Been there several times and the food had always tasted awesome! I can’t think about one single dish I don’t like. Special recommendation on the 3in1 noodles, love the multi layer flavors.
Try to go a bit earlier cuz there might be a line up.“

“Had a wonderful birthday dinner here at Haidilao west Broadway.
Meat was delicious, we mainly had beef and lamb. The noodle dance was so funny to watch, would recommend. Sauce and snack bar has pretty good selection.
Service is absolutely exceptional, they are very attentive and will make sure you have a good time. I mentioned it was my girlfriend's birthday and they brought out a little cake with singing and a crown, very fun.
They have a happy hour after 9pm where you can choose 1 of 2 discount types, a certain dish or the whole menu. They are open so late, so it was nice to come here after watching the sunset at Kitsilano. Don't forget to try saying some secret phrases :)“

“For people who don't know the flavor of the rainbow dumplins, the dumpling's colors match with the colors of the numbers, so you'll know the flavor by reading the titles.
Hands down the best dumplings in this price range. Actually, I haven't had any better restaurant dumplings in Vancouver than this one.“

“Spend long time Analyzing restaurant on google map and found this place. It didn’t disappoint me. The Bread, Siumai and noodles are really good. The ingredients are fresh and athletic. Had a chat with the owner, she told me the vegetable in the bread was shipped from China and it was grown on someone backyard. I can tell they have a passion on making good food. I would love to visit again next time in Vancouver.“

“My friend Booked reservations here and told me how much her and her bf loved eating here. It was my first Sichuan food
Experience and I loved it.
Because we had a party of 4 so we had to walk in and I came in at around 5.
The place is full of traditional Chinese decor and it’s spacious and open.
The staff immediately greeted me and offer
Me tea while we ate.
The menus is a scan and we ordered a few dishes.
My favorite was the spicy beef and the favorite was the sweet and sour pork.
We had the deep friend tong yuan with black sesame filling for dessert.
They also have free parking and I think for the portion, I think it’s reasonable.
It is spicy so to people who can’t eat too spicy, I would make sure u request less spicy and get a cold beverage!“

“It's probably a good thing I don't live nearby, else I'd be eating multiple pastries a day, everyday.
Everything's good. Seriously. The cha su bao's got a soft, fluffy bun and savory meat. Sesame balls are bursting with filling. The pluto had yummy citrus undertones. Most surprising was probably the red bean donut with its sugary coating. And of course, the dan tat had the perfect consistency.“

“Ever since I was a child, I’ve seen this restaurant and always wondered how it was. I would bus to school and stand at the bus stop right infront of the restaurant not knowing the gem that was behind me. Fast forward MANY years later and I finally tried it. And the regret I had of not coming sooner hit me. I feel like I wasted so much time trying other Chinese restaurants. Because this to me is my favourite Chinese restaurant and it’s not even close. I’ve been a regular ever since the day I tried it. I highly reccomend it to anyone. Typically at other restaurants I’m scared to try other items on the menu that I normally don’t get. But here at Wo’s I haven’t had a bad experience with any item on the menu. Everything literally tastes amazing. Wo’s is the restaurant I recommend to everyone when they want Chinese food!“

“My husband and I stopped here for lunch. I had a lunch special (deep fried ginger beef on rice) and my husband had noodle soup. The noodles were delicious and fresh, and the broth was flavourful. The ginger beef was also good, but the sauce was sweet, which I didn't expect and barely spicy hot, although it was rated as spicy. The tea is amazing, as was our server. The restaurant was full, and she managed it all, including the take out, in an unhurried, efficient, and friendly manner. Recommend this restaurant for the excellent noodles, fast service and reasonable prices.“

“Ordered the “Soft and Smooth” combo and it tastes good. Everything mixed together well with the soup under and the refreshing cucumber balances the hearty noodles. However I think it is missing some fragrances to be a dish that people will come back for. Small cozy place with bright decorations, service is friendly but may need more staffs due to high volume at lunchtime ☺️“

“We come here often because it's close to our family. The food is very standard dim sum, nothing special. I usually order the pan fried turnip cakes - it's usually really delicious but the last few times it has been dry, flavorless and bland. The rice rolls are a little too dry as well. They do have delicious baked BBQ pork buns though and their fried dishes are usually good.
The service is always 👍. They're very personable and friendly, and very efficient.
Go in the morning. It gets extremely busy once 1130am comes around.“

“Got take out this time and the beef rice noodles weren't as good as usual (not enough wok hei) but it was still a solid meal. Roast pork was great, very crispy skin still. My go to place for not too expensive Cantonese food in Vancouver! Shoutout to the lady at the register who told me a great tip: calling or ordering on their website is cheaper than using Uber eats!“

“I've ordered from here before and have been pleased with the taste of all of their dishes. For Christmas this year, I wanted to order a lobster. I was told that the lobster was $20/lb and they would charge for cooking it separately. Noodle was extra too, but it was $1 more. I pre-ordered it and asked for a 2 to 2.5lb lobster. On Christmas day, I came to pick it up and was shocked that the price was over $95 for the lobster. My head is still reeling over this. Even if the lobster was $40 to $50, I was charged the same for having it cooked which is strange. I understand it was a special order and they don't stock lobsters in the restaurant. They would have to acquire it from a seafood provider then prepare it.
Update: It was a pricey lobster but it was very well prepared. The green onion and ginger sauce was delicious and the Yee Mein at the bottom was good too. My recommendation is to charge $100 for a lobster with noodles. Don't even mention the labor. When asked how big the lobster is, say its about 2lb. That way, there's no misunderstanding or sticker shock.“

I love Kyle's and hope they're opened for another 30 years!!! My go to spot for cheap chinese food eats!

“Our second time here, this time we ordered the hand sliced lamb fried noodle and llama soup noodles, never disappointed. So far the best noodle house we’ve tried in Vancouver!!!

“I've been coming here for 15+ years and can't imagine why this lovely, impeccably clean and relatively healthy-ish restaurant doesn't have 4.5/5 reviews or higher. The food is so good. It is the right amount of Chinese food you want when you're hung over or also just want delicious Chinese food on a week night. The woman who runs the place is super friendly. The menu choices is perfect - all the classic things to love without being overwhelming . Honestly, it's simply wonderful.“

“This is a truly hidden gem in Vancouver Downtown
We keep coming back to Kin’s as this is by far the best Chinese bistro in Vancouver!
The chef puts so much love into every dish, making each one perfect.
Since it is a one-man show, so be expected the dinner may takes hours, but it’s totally worth it.
Don’t come here if you want fast food—this place is for enjoying slow, incredible meals.
Advanced reservation recommended“

“First time in Vancouver and first time at Chinatown BBQ. We had the pork belly, char siu pork, duck, jellyfish, pork and veg fried rice, curry beef, and brocolli rabe. I am a Chef and my in-laws are Korean. We don't just know good food we know great food, this food was exceptional! We have had Chinese food in Chicago Chinatown where we live, NYC and Korea. This is the best I have ever had, truly an unreal experience. For me it was the quality of the meats, succulent, mouth melting, not too salty, not too sweet, very juicy. They are taking it to the next level here and must have some serious techniques figured out especially on how to get the meat roasted and caramelized without drying out. I saw in the back it looks like they are doing some form of aging. Nonetheless I was very impressed. For best experience come a little after 5 pm when the meats are coming out! This place deserves at least 1 michelin star of not 2! Keep it going cant wait to come back 💯“

“I recommend reserving 2-3 days in advance if you wish to have dim sum brunch here on the weekend.
My favourites: stir fried green beans with minced meat, beef tendon, deep fried green scallion pancake, shu mai, fried stuffed eggplant
Wasn’t too impressed by: chicken feet, egg tart, rice noodles with beef, pai gwat fan, or hum sui kok
Overall service was very courteous, not quite rushing but efficient in removing empty dishes, no complaints since it was understandably a very busy Saturday lunch session (every table was full by 12pm, walk-ins had to be turned away at the door)
They no longer sell steamed rice rolls (I wanted to get the one stuffed with fried donut or shrimp). Seems the menu has shrunk a bit, probably to make the kitchen run more efficiently + reduce waste / costs.
My family like to dine here so I’ll probably be back but there are equally good if not better dim sum places around Vancouver.“

“For a chinese restaurant that caters to the more budget friendly spectrum, the service here was surprisingly excellent - which is shocking for budget chinese restaurants lol!
But besides the good service, food here is also very decent especially when we factor in price - which is one of the more value-oriented dim sum places around in GVRD area. Within the same class, this place is at least another 10-15% cheaper which makes a big difference.
Taste / seasoning is on the lighter side, wok-hei (breath of wok) and flavours are slightly more muted but overall still good for the price.
Ambience is nothing special. The restaurant is packed on a weekday lunch service which says something - not bad.
Will return!“

“Came here for the dim sum on a weekday and the place was packed. 3 of us went and we all agreed it was tasty. The serving sizes were 20% larger then most places. Prices are average but because they give you more it is a good value. Service was lacking they didnt have enough staff. We all agreed this place was a 8/10.“

“We often drive up from Seattle to Vancouver for the purpose of eating GOOD Chinese food. Today we went to Noodle Arts for the first time and OMG.....I'm in love and might have to just move here!!!! We are vegetarian and they were very accommodating with many choices on the menu. The hand-pulled MADE TO ORDER Dan Dan noodles were out of this world and you get to choose the diameter of the noodles you'd like. We chose the thickest (5mm) and they were so fresh and chewy. I was in culinary heaven. The sauce the noodles were in was divine. We also ordered Spicy Salted Tofu and the portion was immense. The tofu was fried but very dry and not oily at all. For dessert we order the red bean pancake and it was not great and very oily. The woman who waited on us was very friendly and helpful. Even the tea was yummy. Can't wait to go again!“
