“Delighted to find an exceptional Chinese restaurant downtown! Highlights included the fried crab balls, whole roast duck served two ways (Peking style and minced meat in lettuce wraps), and deep-fried crab with garlic, XO sauce, and stir-fried rice. Every dish was fresh and non-greasy. The polite and attentive staff provided excellent guidance on selecting a variety of dishes for our banquet. Although parking was a bit tricky to navigate, it was free—a nice added perk!“

“The food here is pretty good and we didn’t experience any poor service. The wait staff were actually really nice. There was one lady who we didn’t have much interaction with who seemed to have a bit of an attitude.
The free 2hr parking below ground is really good. The place is overall fairly comfortable. They have nice high ceilings and it doesn’t feel too loud or crowded inside.“

“Great traditional Chinese restaurant. Food is great and portions are very substantial. Would definitely visit again! A lot of reviews indicate staff are inattentive - when we visited last night this was categorically not the case. They were very attentive.“

“Tried their beef noodles ? it was pretty good for the pricing but the reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because they do offer some cool homemade stuff to take home if you ever wish like their homemade beef Jerky and their spicy sauce if you want to add it to a soup you make at home.“

“Recommended for lunch from Monday to Friday, the beef is undisputed yyds for 2.99 a serving. The flow of people is less than that of RMD, but the quality is not bad at all. The waiter, Miss Luna, is very attentive. She is the best in both Haidilao. The service and food are very good, but the parking space is a bit small.“

“Super delicious and charming place, it’s small so keep in mind might be a wait though totally worth it!! Must try chili oil chicken, spinach noodles and the pork bun. Owner is very friendly and will help guide first time guests, it’s a must try place for those who appreciate spice:)“

“For people who don't know the flavor of the rainbow dumplins, the dumpling's colors match with the colors of the numbers, so you'll know the flavor by reading the titles.
Hands down the best dumplings in this price range. Actually, I haven't had any better restaurant dumplings in Vancouver than this one.“

“Spend long time Analyzing restaurant on google map and found this place. It didn’t disappoint me. The Bread, Siumai and noodles are really good. The ingredients are fresh and athletic. Had a chat with the owner, she told me the vegetable in the bread was shipped from China and it was grown on someone backyard. I can tell they have a passion on making good food. I would love to visit again next time in Vancouver.“

“It's probably a good thing I don't live nearby, else I'd be eating multiple pastries a day, everyday.
Everything's good. Seriously. The cha su bao's got a soft, fluffy bun and savory meat. Sesame balls are bursting with filling. The pluto had yummy citrus undertones. Most surprising was probably the red bean donut with its sugary coating. And of course, the dan tat had the perfect consistency.“

“A friend really wanted to try their sweet and sour pork after hearing her friend raving about it. I’m typically not a big fan of SS pork. Although it is as authentic as it can be for Cantonese cuisine, it conjures a certain stereotypical perception of the typical North American Chinese restaurant.
I was very wrong of my presumption until I checked out their dishes online and after my visit. The restaurant serves authentic Hong Kong bistro dishes. Some of them carry innovative twists.
For the 2 of us, we had (1) sweet and sour pork (named differently on the menu but it’s easy to find) (2) deep fried beef brisket (3) pan fried oyster pancake.
I’ll start with the SS pork. I did love it at Kin’s. Unlike similar dishes in other restaurants, the pieces at Kin’s are not coated with a thick layer of batter hiding a tiny bit of pork. The pork pieces at Kin’s are juicy and coated with a thin layer of batter. We could actually taste the pork. The sauce was not overpowering but the slight tartness made you want to eat another piece, and another piece, and another piece …
The deep fried beef brisket was very rich. It would have paired if we had ordered a very light dish to go with it but it tasted good. I took the left over home and served it to my dad the next day. He quite enjoyed it. We usually have beef briskets in soups or stews so the deep fried version was a welcoming twist for us.
The pinnacle of our dinner was the oyster pancake. It was pan fried golden brown. The first bite was crispy but the chewiness (good chewiness) of the sweet potato starch used in pancake soon followed. We had oysters in every bite. I grew up eating oyster pancakes very often in Hong Kong as my mother’s family is from Chiu Chow. We recently had oyster pancake at a fairly new Chiu Chow restaurant near City Hall and it was NOTHING compared to Kin’s. The oyster pancake was a special at Kin’s the evening we visited and I hope enough patrons order the dish so it goes into the menu. My mother would have loved it.“

“Ever since I was a child, I’ve seen this restaurant and always wondered how it was. I would bus to school and stand at the bus stop right infront of the restaurant not knowing the gem that was behind me. Fast forward MANY years later and I finally tried it. And the regret I had of not coming sooner hit me. I feel like I wasted so much time trying other Chinese restaurants. Because this to me is my favourite Chinese restaurant and it’s not even close. I’ve been a regular ever since the day I tried it. I highly reccomend it to anyone. Typically at other restaurants I’m scared to try other items on the menu that I normally don’t get. But here at Wo’s I haven’t had a bad experience with any item on the menu. Everything literally tastes amazing. Wo’s is the restaurant I recommend to everyone when they want Chinese food!“

“Ordered the “Soft and Smooth” combo and it tastes good. Everything mixed together well with the soup under and the refreshing cucumber balances the hearty noodles. However I think it is missing some fragrances to be a dish that people will come back for. Small cozy place with bright decorations, service is friendly but may need more staffs due to high volume at lunchtime ☺️“

“We come here often because it's close to our family. The food is very standard dim sum, nothing special. I usually order the pan fried turnip cakes - it's usually really delicious but the last few times it has been dry, flavorless and bland. The rice rolls are a little too dry as well. They do have delicious baked BBQ pork buns though and their fried dishes are usually good.
The service is always 👍. They're very personable and friendly, and very efficient.
Go in the morning. It gets extremely busy once 1130am comes around.“

“We often drive up from Seattle to Vancouver for the purpose of eating GOOD Chinese food. Today we went to Noodle Arts for the first time and OMG.....I'm in love and might have to just move here!!!! We are vegetarian and they were very accommodating with many choices on the menu. The hand-pulled MADE TO ORDER Dan Dan noodles were out of this world and you get to choose the diameter of the noodles you'd like. We chose the thickest (5mm) and they were so fresh and chewy. I was in culinary heaven. The sauce the noodles were in was divine. We also ordered Spicy Salted Tofu and the portion was immense. The tofu was fried but very dry and not oily at all. For dessert we order the red bean pancake and it was not great and very oily. The woman who waited on us was very friendly and helpful. Even the tea was yummy. Can't wait to go again!“

“Ordered takeout. The items tasted great, th GaiLan with garlic was soft and so flavorful, congee was slightly salty from the shredded pork(maybe). The bbq duck was sooo good. Definitely recommend that.

“I've ordered from here before and have been pleased with the taste of all of their dishes. For Christmas this year, I wanted to order a lobster. I was told that the lobster was $20/lb and they would charge for cooking it separately. Noodle was extra too, but it was $1 more. I pre-ordered it and asked for a 2 to 2.5lb lobster. On Christmas day, I came to pick it up and was shocked that the price was over $95 for the lobster. My head is still reeling over this. Even if the lobster was $40 to $50, I was charged the same for having it cooked which is strange. I understand it was a special order and they don't stock lobsters in the restaurant. They would have to acquire it from a seafood provider then prepare it.
Update: It was a pricey lobster but it was very well prepared. The green onion and ginger sauce was delicious and the Yee Mein at the bottom was good too. My recommendation is to charge $100 for a lobster with noodles. Don't even mention the labor. When asked how big the lobster is, say its about 2lb. That way, there's no misunderstanding or sticker shock.“

“Lovely to get served tea when we sat down, not crowded when we sat down, I felt so comfortable (I'm Chinese), to sit and chat with a colleague. Food was yummy, I enjoyed the 'cutting noodle' 刀烧面and the xiaolongbao. The skin of the xlb broke for 2 of them though. We were not rushed by any staff, nobody asked how our meal was going, which I find so much nicer and respectful when enjoying time in a restaurant. I would recommend this place for a nice, leisurely enjoyable meal.
Vegetarian options: Free street parking by the church, lots of vegetarian options“

“I went in with no expectations, but wow, this place blew me away! The broth and the Dandan noodles were incredibly flavorful—absolutely delicious. We also tried the beef roll, and it did not disappoint! I’m usually a bit picky with Asian food, but this spot made my taste buds so happy. The noodles tasted so authentic, and as a Korean, it even reminded me a lot of flavors from home. I think other Korean food lovers would really enjoy it too. Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting!“

“Ate there last Thur 5/30, no wait and foods came out fast even with the rice clay pot (5*). Ordered the free range chicken rice pot, love the crispy rice on the bottom of the pot, so good w the soy sauce on the table, good combination.
The pea vine with garlic was also good but some were a bit tough (off 1*) for that reason. Sorry halfway through before remember to take pics. Will be back to try other things!
Parking: Pro tip: More luck w side street parking“

“I recommend reserving 2-3 days in advance if you wish to have dim sum brunch here on the weekend.
My favourites: stir fried green beans with minced meat, beef tendon, deep fried green scallion pancake, shu mai, fried stuffed eggplant
Wasn’t too impressed by: chicken feet, egg tart, rice noodles with beef, pai gwat fan, or hum sui kok
Overall service was very courteous, not quite rushing but efficient in removing empty dishes, no complaints since it was understandably a very busy Saturday lunch session (every table was full by 12pm, walk-ins had to be turned away at the door)
They no longer sell steamed rice rolls (I wanted to get the one stuffed with fried donut or shrimp). Seems the menu has shrunk a bit, probably to make the kitchen run more efficiently + reduce waste / costs.
My family like to dine here so I’ll probably be back but there are equally good if not better dim sum places around Vancouver.“

“If you go in the fall / winter, ask to sit away from the window if you mind cold air seeping in .
Otherwise, the restaurant does a very decent job in the service and the food.
VERY LARGE PORTIONS.
Peking Duck - crispy skin. Lots of meat attached.
The thin wrappers for Peking duck - Quite dry. Chewy. A little cold.
Duck pieces (bone in) stirred fried with bottle melon - Too salty in my opinion.
Black cod (steamed whole) in black bean sauce - $58 . Great in taste.
Whole Chicken is complementary for order over $100. - tastes very good
Sweet and sour pork chops - ok. Personally I didn’t like this kind of meat too much.
Vegetable with dried scallop - a little too tough to chew.
red bean dessert soup (complementary) - Great !
Chinese almond coconut cookies (complementary) - yum!
Overall we love their free chicken ( 走地雞!which is expensive ) we probably won’t order peking duck again“

“Came here for the dim sum on a weekday and the place was packed. 3 of us went and we all agreed it was tasty. The serving sizes were 20% larger then most places. Prices are average but because they give you more it is a good value. Service was lacking they didnt have enough staff. We all agreed this place was a 8/10.“

“A nice go-to late night authentic Chinese food (southern-style). Lots of selections. The place is a typical late-night Chinese restaurant so don't expect fine dining. Servers are very attentive and fast. They are good with their customers and have their own quirky sense of humor. If you go a few times, they will remember you! Note: Cash only (or e-transfer). Parking is definitely hit or miss. However, neighborhood parking isn't bad and easily accessible.“
