Starbucks in Vancouver

“I have been to the Yaletown location in Vancouver (The Hamilton on Mainland St) a few times when there is a gentleman working there who is always incredibly kind, friendly, and goes above what is expected (I couldn't read his name tag without my glasses :( but I think is was something like "Kan" or "Ken"). I saw him today and I ordered a tall pike with a pump of pumpkin spice and some half and half. He made sure that I got exactly the amount of half and half that I wanted, plus gave me a little sprinkle of something on top even though it wasn't with whipped cream or a latte just to add a little something nice. I could tell that he loves his job and interacting with customers, and that makes all the difference in someone's day. He definitely perked up my day even before taking my first sip of coffee. I regret not asking his name for clarity, but I think the people who know him will know who I am talking about. Thanks to him for the brief but pleasant experience!“

“I couldn't park so I got takeout, but it was a place that made me feel like I wanted to stay. The kids loved it too. The coffee was the same as I always drink, no problem, and it was very quick and friendly. 😀

Kid-friendliness: There was a menu that kids liked. If your child starts eating chocolate, they will be able to try a variety of menu items.“

“This shop is very roomy, has good service and is near all Fraser Street amenities. There’s free parking out front as it’s in a small strip mall. I love picking out my free birthday treat every year. This year, the app was down, but I was given my treat anyway. That’s how accommodating they are. I ordered the ginger joy - gingerbread oat chai, lowest sweet; it was soooo good!“

“I work a hybrid job and drive from New Westminster to Downtown Vancouver several times a week. I go out of my way to stop at this Starbucks location on the way as the staff are lovely. Please give a huge THANK YOU to Traci, who always has a smile on her face and the kindness of a saint. Traci deserves a raise and some recognition for being a great person. Especially barista Li Yi she is smart, always smiling , always willing to go that extra step to help customers & make it a Starbucks special moment. “Starbucks is Starbucks. But this one is special. Staff is extraordinarily friendly. Atmosphere is great because they are great with each other and great with us customers. They go the extra mile. They combine effective organization (fast but not stressed or rushed, short waiting times, good stocks never out of my brownie) with real connections with customers without making me feel rushed. “This Starbucks has a drive thru which is pretty neat if you on your way past here and want to make a quick stop for a coffee. Orders are quick and efficient plus staff are friendly. They done some renovation to the place recently so the store is nice shiny new again.“

“I want to thank Kit, the manager at the Yukon Starbucks, for fixing a problem I had with an invalid e coupon. It made the system reload funds into a different account. Kit took my call and fixed the situation by voiding the transaction and reloading my card and even taking care of a cup of coffee. “International Village Mall is a mall notorious for really not having much in it.  However, the crown jewel is without a doubt the Starbucks.

I’ve never really had any terrible experiences with any Starbucks, and this was no exception.  You order, you wait, you get your drink.  They are reasonably fast, even when they’re busy, so that’s something I’d like to note for those of you who are on the clock.

The only downside is that the area is a bit sketchy.  At any given time, you’ll have vagrants coming up to you begging for change, and there’s always that lonesome soul speaking out loud to an imaginary friend.  And if you’re really lucky, you’ll be graced with the one just randomly screaming for God knows what reason.

Go for the fast efficient service but leave if you want to live long enough to drink what you bought.“

“I ordered the Pecan Oat latte for the first time but the drink tasted mostly like milk (nothing like coffee). I told the Barista (Tombo) that I usually get the brown sugar shaken oat which has two shots. She explained that all tall sized lattes are one shot of espresso but she graciously added another shot for me. I now know to order a double shot with any tall drinks in the future. Exceptional service!“

“Today I ordered two customized cookie-crumble frapuccuino of different sizes. And a kind service guy made a very slight mistake caz for rush, however he quickly made a new one for me. He apologized so politely and handed me the wrong order for free. I really enjoyed to meet these people who makes customer feel valued. “Stop in at this starbucks multiple times a week for my morning latte and they always get my order right! One of the baristas named Rena is particularly awesome! “For all its popularity, the number of Starbucks in this city seems to have shockingly dwindled down to the point where you can get your hands on a bbt faster than a Starbucks, which wasn't the case a few years ago.My brother was driving me home when I had a craving. We both had our eyes open for the wavy haired Caffeine Temptress to no avail. Until we both clued in that the Broadway Safeway had a Starbucks and as an added bonus, probably wouldn't be that busy because these pop~up Starbucks never are. We were right, as I was able to immediately put in our orders of a Java Chip Frappuccino and Iced Caffe Mocha and receive them just as fast.Don't let the fact that this Starbucks is embedded in a Safeway deter you as while the menu obviously isn't the full one, the quality is absolutely there. Not to mention you won't have a lineup to contend with, so this location is a godsend. And we'd better pray that it stays open in perpetuity.“

“Anyone visiting English Bay should stop by this Starbucks. If it’s raining, it’s a great place to grab a cup of coffee. If it’s hot and sunny, you can cool off with a cold drink or a refreshing glass of water. The internet is reliable, and there’s plenty of seating and standing room.“

“What a great Starbucks location. The ceilings are high, there are lots of tables, it’s super clean, and the staff were very friendly. The new spicy falafel pocket was delicious! The only thing is that it’s quite small and would be better if it was a bit bigger for the price.

The Turkey provolone and pesto on ciabatta was delicious as well and the sriracha sauce it comes with has a sweetness to it that’s marvellous and unlike the standard sriracha sauce at the store. The quality of the bread and filling was great.

Love the ginger lemon honey shot and the peach mango kombucha. Great beverages with the meal.“

“I don't drink coffee or any of the lattes. But when I need to find a quiet place to work or write I usually head to a Starbucks and grab a black chai. My experience has universally been a pleasure. Friendly staff who are always willing to refill my tea with more hot water, and they always do it with a smile.

“OK so I normally would never review a Starbucks because we all know what coffee places are like but here’s the deal: this was my second Starbucks location today because I was waiting for my father to get out of surgery from St. Paul’s Hospital and needed to use the washroom, and I ordered a peach green tea iced tea. The three girls working today all greeted me when I came in. When I finished my iced tea, one of the girls asked me if I had a Starbucks card to which I said I did and she told me I can get free refills of iced tea which I did not know about. Not only did I get a passion fruit iced tea as a free refill, but one of the other girls offered me a free oatmeal bar. I didn’t eat anything except breakfast that day and Honestly, it was the silver lining to a really tough time to deal with as I was worried about my dad’s minor surgery.

If you rent your car, park the car in front of public parking & you can walk up.“

“I drop by this Starbucks at Melville&Bute every morning and lunch, and it’s always a delightful experience. I cannot pick only one or two staff to give compliments. The staffs here are incredibly friendly and always greets ppl warmly, which brightens my day. “I came around 645 am and it was an excellent experience. The barista greeted each incoming customer with an energetic "Good morning!" And it just made my day better as mornings are awful in the winter (as much of an early bird I am.) The seating is spaced out and clean.

Only star deducted was for a lukewarm drink that was meant to be extra hot!“

“One of the cleanest and efficient stores I’ve been to in a long time. We came in just before lunch and usually by this time of day most stores cafes’s are pretty messy, but this stores floors were spotless and the countertops and tables were all clean. The garbages were empty too-which is rare to find in a starbucks these days. Very friendly and quick service, I got my food and drinks in under 5 min-which is great when you have a toddler with you. “This Starbucks is located within the Hyatt Hotel and can be accessed by walking towards the entrance of the parking garage but to the right of it. You can’t really sit outside to enjoy your drink due to excessive vehicles parked in the area, but the interior is cool and is a nice break from the summer heat. The Starbucks itself doesn’t have many seats and tables but the hotel has a few comfy couches you can sit on.“

“This is my favourite Starbucks on UBC campus! Not only is the staff always friendly and accommodating, they make the best drinks every single time (and when a mistake is rarely made, they always fix it super quickly!). They also don’t charge for no ice (unlike other Starbucks on campus) and offer plastic straws (both big wins for me!). Everyone that works here deserves a raise!!
