Starbucks in Vancouver

“Have not been to Starbucks much lately, but happened to need a quick pick me up drink while back in Vancouver today & was so grateful for Phoebe and her excellent service!

She talked me through which drinks to order (since it'd been awhile that I've visited a store), and ensured I enjoyed my drink before I left the store!!!

It made me want to visit Starbucks more often again if I always get such exceptional service!!! ☺️“

“This is my go-to Starbucks. While all Starbucks locations have slight differences in how their coffee tastes, this one has remained consistently good. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are always friendly. The only downside is that they close earlier than other nearby stores.“

“This shop is very roomy, has good service and is near all Fraser Street amenities. There’s free parking out front as it’s in a small strip mall. I love picking out my free birthday treat every year. This year, the app was down, but I was given my treat anyway. That’s how accommodating they are. I ordered the ginger joy - gingerbread oat chai, lowest sweet; it was soooo good!“

“I visited this location several times during my recent trip to Vancouver. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and made me feel like a truly valued customer. For a small location it offers a big return in both service and atmosphere. Highly recommend.“

“Pretty standard Starbucks with a wildly busy drive thru. Careful coming in and out, either as a car or pedestrian. But other than that, atmosphere is good, it can get loud though. They have a nice spot outside to sit, which can occasionally get loud as well though. Ha.“

“The location is great, but lately, and for quite a while now, there have been tiny flies all over the store. Not sure what’s going on… they’re really small but way too many. Hope they find a solution. Also, one of the staff members is super friendly, but honestly, they talk to customers way too much and in a pretty loud voice. Might be a bit distracting for those working on their laptops or just trying to relax.“

“This Starbucks has a drive thru which is pretty neat if you on your way past here and want to make a quick stop for a coffee. Orders are quick and efficient plus staff are friendly. They done some renovation to the place recently so the store is nice shiny new again.“

“I want to thank Kit, the manager at the Yukon Starbucks, for fixing a problem I had with an invalid e coupon. It made the system reload funds into a different account. Kit took my call and fixed the situation by voiding the transaction and reloading my card and even taking care of a cup of coffee. Yukon and 2nd location is by far the best Starbucks I’ve experienced. Thanks for everything, Kit!“

“A joint to be freqented for breakfast and lunch as it is the nearest from museum of vancouver, museum of maritime, space center museum, planetorium and observation telescope visitor center and it does not disappoint. All standard fare with good service and clean wash room, it is also very near to stops of No.2 bus route of Translink which is a vital public transport link for nearby visitors attractions.“

“Starbucks is Starbucks. But this one is special. Staff is extraordinarily friendly. Atmosphere is great because they are great with each other and great with us customers. They go the extra mile. They combine effective organization (fast but not stressed or rushed, short waiting times, good stocks never out of my brownie) with real connections with customers without making me feel rushed. Until we both clued in that the Broadway Safeway had a Starbucks and as an added bonus, probably wouldn't be that busy because these pop~up Starbucks never are. We were right, as I was able to immediately put in our orders of a Java Chip Frappuccino and Iced Caffe Mocha and receive them just as fast.Don't let the fact that this Starbucks is embedded in a Safeway deter you as while the menu obviously isn't the full one, the quality is absolutely there. Not to mention you won't have a lineup to contend with, so this location is a godsend. And we'd better pray that it stays open in perpetuity.“

“I recently visited the Starbucks near Kitsilano Beach and ordered a Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso. The drink was made by a barista named Jasmine, and it was absolutely perfect! It was cold, refreshing, and full of rich, balanced flavor—one of the best I’ve ever had. Jasmine is not only skilled at making drinks but also incredibly kind and welcoming. She treats every customer with a beautiful smile and genuine warmth, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Her friendly attitude and attention to detail truly stood out and made my visit memorable.“

“I came around 4 PM today to buy a water bottle because my store was sold out, and I wanted to use my Stars. For some reason, the guy at the till couldn’t see my Stars when he scanned my card. He tried many times, but the system just wouldn’t work.

I was upset that I couldn’t get the bottle—I’ve been looking for it for a while—but he didn’t give up. I’m sorry I don’t remember his name, but I want to say a big thank you for your patience, especially with a line behind me, and for trying so many times until it finally worked and I was able to use my Stars.

“Gotta say love this shop. Any Starbucks around the city I know I’ll always get the best coffee and food . Other places are lackin. It’s a hit and miss with Tim’s and macdonals. This gentleman who served my coffee was so polite,positive,efficient,specially he treats people with respect and very nice smile. Specially I noticed he valued my business and I saw his enthusiasm to other staff. He is out standing employee for this store. I been visiting to this store years ago. “I couldn't park so I got takeout, but it was a place that made me feel like I wanted to stay. The kids loved it too. The coffee was the same as I always drink, no problem, and it was very quick and friendly. 😀

Kid-friendliness: There was a menu that kids liked. If your child starts eating chocolate, they will be able to try a variety of menu items.“

“What a great Starbucks location. The ceilings are high, there are lots of tables, it’s super clean, and the staff were very friendly. The new spicy falafel pocket was delicious! The only thing is that it’s quite small and would be better if it was a bit bigger for the price.

The Turkey provolone and pesto on ciabatta was delicious as well and the sriracha sauce it comes with has a sweetness to it that’s marvellous and unlike the standard sriracha sauce at the store. The quality of the bread and filling was great.

Love the ginger lemon honey shot and the peach mango kombucha. Great beverages with the meal.“

“I love that there are oat milk options so readily available..after travelling through the states for over a month..oat milk, and milk substitutes in general in restaurants and coffee shops is a tough thing to come by..I ordered the grande but the drink size did not look like a grande at all, so that was a little but disappointing..but it is still delicious.“

I love everything except the air conditioning.

It wasnt even that hot today(only about 22 degrees) but the temperature this place is way too low. so my head was freezing cold and couldnt enjoy my time :(

It was same for the last summer.

“Been to this location for 3 days straight. All employees are friendly. My order is always right and it comes out fast. The other customers are friendly too. Good people come here and a kind person gave me directions since I'm just visiting.“

“Excellent Starbucks location. Located in the quaint and cute kerrisdale neighbourhood. You can always count on excellent service at Starbucks but the Sunday male staff (Johnny?) at this location is exceptional.

I ordered once a couple of breakfast sandwiches (promo for points) and a reward drink and requested a cup of venti cup of ice water and tray when I arrived. The next time I ordered something similar, he had the tray ready with the drinks, a venti cup of water and a sticker for the reward drink. Exactly as I would request on arrival. Apologies my reward drinks are pretty complicated as I use it as a concentrate to add with hot water (hence ask for a sticker for the cup spout than consuming immediately) but it’s always made to the exact customization, with care and attention.

I came by slightly late once to pick up an order as they were closing up and I saw the male staff packing out the patio chairs and friendly chatting with customers. Clearly the perfect people person for the role. Personally I’m an introvert and don’t interact much with staff but always felt the staff member caring, personable, and detail orientated.

The rest of the staff at this location are also excellent like the female Chinese staff with glasses on week days.

Store is always clean and well situated for dine in or take out.“

“I came around 645 am and it was an excellent experience. The barista greeted each incoming customer with an energetic "Good morning!" And it just made my day better as mornings are awful in the winter (as much of an early bird I am.) The seating is spaced out and clean.

Only star deducted was for a lukewarm drink that was meant to be extra hot!“

“I am not a Starbucks fan but this Starbucks in the Safeway store is the best in Vancouver. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They will customize your drinks if you have options. The coffee is always consistent not like some locations where the flavour can vary. They must be good as most days you will see a line up of regulars getting their afternoon coffee or tea. If you time it right they do rounds of samples on a variety of pasteries. Definately worth while to stop in and try their coffee.“

“This is my favourite Starbucks on UBC campus! Not only is the staff always friendly and accommodating, they make the best drinks every single time (and when a mistake is rarely made, they always fix it super quickly!). They also don’t charge for no ice (unlike other Starbucks on campus) and offer plastic straws (both big wins for me!). Everyone that works here deserves a raise!!

“This Starbucks is located inside the Safeway on Broadway and McDonald. It is one of the better Starbucks I have seen inside a Safeway. It has a very nice sitting area which appears to be busy every time I come to do my shopping. The food and the coffee are like any other at Starbucks everywhere. The service is good and here it is better than others. I like lattes and decaf coffee or hot chocolate. Simple drinks with no additives like some of my high maintenance friends. Because of my simple requests I often find Starbucks options a bit much but it is always a quick order for me.I recommend this Starbucks.
