“The Asian male cashier at this store is especially nice. He’s always happy to answer my questions, and when my drink turns out a bit too sweet for my taste, they’re kind enough to add some extra base for me.

“Excellent Starbucks location. Located in the quaint and cute kerrisdale neighbourhood. You can always count on excellent service at Starbucks but the Sunday male staff (Johnny?) at this location is exceptional.

I ordered once a couple of breakfast sandwiches (promo for points) and a reward drink and requested a cup of venti cup of ice water and tray when I arrived. The next time I ordered something similar, he had the tray ready with the drinks, a venti cup of water and a sticker for the reward drink. Exactly as I would request on arrival. Apologies my reward drinks are pretty complicated as I use it as a concentrate to add with hot water (hence ask for a sticker for the cup spout than consuming immediately) but it’s always made to the exact customization, with care and attention.

I came by slightly late once to pick up an order as they were closing up and I saw the male staff packing out the patio chairs and friendly chatting with customers. Clearly the perfect people person for the role. Personally I’m an introvert and don’t interact much with staff but always felt the staff member caring, personable, and detail orientated.

The rest of the staff at this location are also excellent like the female Chinese staff with glasses on week days.

Store is always clean and well situated for dine in or take out.“

“What a great Starbucks location. The ceilings are high, there are lots of tables, it’s super clean, and the staff were very friendly. The new spicy falafel pocket was delicious! The only thing is that it’s quite small and would be better if it was a bit bigger for the price.

The Turkey provolone and pesto on ciabatta was delicious as well and the sriracha sauce it comes with has a sweetness to it that’s marvellous and unlike the standard sriracha sauce at the store. The quality of the bread and filling was great.

Love the ginger lemon honey shot and the peach mango kombucha. Great beverages with the meal.“

“This shop is very roomy, has good service and is near all Fraser Street amenities. There’s free parking out front as it’s in a small strip mall. I love picking out my free birthday treat every year. This year, the app was down, but I was given my treat anyway. That’s how accommodating they are. I ordered the ginger joy - gingerbread oat chai, lowest sweet; it was soooo good!“

“I want to give a huge shout-out to one of the baristas at this Starbucks — his name is Luke (not sure if he’s the manager or not), but he honestly deserves to be. His customer service is on another level.

I’m very particular about my drinks, and he always takes the time to understand exactly what I like. His recommendations are spot on every single time. On the rare chance I don’t like something, he never hesitates to replace it or make something better. That kind of service is rare.

I’ve visited many Starbucks locations, but I’ve never come across a barista like him. I visit this branch almost every other day because it’s close to my workplace, and honestly, his service is a big reason I keep coming back. I wasn’t a big Starbucks fan before, but now I’m getting addicted — partly because of the drinks and partly because of how well he treats his customers.

“I came around 4 PM today to buy a water bottle because my store was sold out, and I wanted to use my Stars. For some reason, the guy at the till couldn’t see my Stars when he scanned my card. He tried many times, but the system just wouldn’t work.

I was upset that I couldn’t get the bottle—I’ve been looking for it for a while—but he didn’t give up. I’m sorry I don’t remember his name, but I want to say a big thank you for your patience, especially with a line behind me, and for trying so many times until it finally worked and I was able to use my Stars.

I've been going there daily for about two and a half years whenever I'm in Vancouver.

What makes it so great is the staff. First of all, everybody who works there looks like a model. But moreso, the service is just impeccable! In particular, the manager, Trish, is amazing. This morning, Christmas day, when I went in she actually gave me a Christmas present with a personalized card. And the other staff, Taka, Anri, Hanna, Honoka, Jaily, Manpreet, Leo, Joy, Soiri, Henny, and William always go out of their way to make me feel not only welcome, but that they're truly happy to see me.

As much as I hate being in Vancouver (and Canada), the wonderful people at this Starbucks make being here almost tolerable. If you ever find yourself in Vancouver you absolutely MUST stop in here!“

“For all its popularity, the number of Starbucks in this city seems to have shockingly dwindled down to the point where you can get your hands on a bbt faster than a Starbucks, which wasn't the case a few years ago.My brother was driving me home when I had a craving. We both had our eyes open for the wavy haired Caffeine Temptress to no avail. Until we both clued in that the Broadway Safeway had a Starbucks and as an added bonus, probably wouldn't be that busy because these pop~up Starbucks never are. We were right, as I was able to immediately put in our orders of a Java Chip Frappuccino and Iced Caffe Mocha and receive them just as fast.Don't let the fact that this Starbucks is embedded in a Safeway deter you as while the menu obviously isn't the full one, the quality is absolutely there. Not to mention you won't have a lineup to contend with, so this location is a godsend. And we'd better pray that it stays open in perpetuity.“

“This is my favourite Starbucks on UBC campus! “I am not a Starbucks fan but this Starbucks in the Safeway store is the best in Vancouver. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They will customize your drinks if you have options. The coffee is always consistent not like some locations where the flavour can vary. They must be good as most days you will see a line up of regulars getting their afternoon coffee or tea. If you time it right they do rounds of samples on a variety of pasteries. Definately worth while to stop in and try their coffee.“

“I've been visiting this Starbucks branch for the past 3+ years, and I've never once had any real issue with their drinks or service. I really think the people working here do what they can in such a busy environment, and I appreciate them a lot for that, especially in comparison to other Starbucks branches where I received questionable service.

Often, groups of Asian elderly can be seen sitting around the tables and talking, as others stand in the queue or wait at the side for their order. Depending on when you go, it can be a little loud and busy, but the baristas here truly do their best to meet everyone's needs! As for the space itself, it's a little on the smaller side, but it can be quite cozy and nice. Seating is offered, with some options being a large rectangular table for bigger groups, and stools at high tables close to the windows. Interior is usually pretty clean and well looked-after.

Drinks are made well, and whenever I order a brownie or little treat, those are fine too. Truly, no complaints 😊

Sadly, I have witnessed an instance where one customer was incredibly rude, aggressive, and argumentative with the employees here, making threats and even shoving the pitchers of cream down to the floor when he stormed out. It was disgusting to see how a grown man could treat working individuals like that, and I hope if any of the employees see this review, they don't feel at fault for his behaviour. To people who behave like that, seriously, get over yourself! At the end of the day, it's a coffee, and if you really have that much of an issue, just don't come back. Move on with your life and stop taking out your anger on employees who hardly have any say in how the company runs, it's that simple!

“One of the cleanest and efficient stores I’ve been to in a long time. We came in just before lunch and usually by this time of day most stores cafes’s are pretty messy, but this stores floors were spotless and the countertops and tables were all clean. The garbages were empty too-which is rare to find in a starbucks these days. Very friendly and quick service, I got my food and drinks in under 5 min-which is great when you have a toddler with you.
