“We almost didn't go in, because there were all these negative reviews about sushi. That sushi place is not there now.
Loong's serves above average Chinese food. I'm no expert, but I enjoyed it. We had the noodles with XO sauce (they subbed chicken for pork), and the Sweet & Sour Pork.
They deserve 5 stars, to balance off the irrelevant reviews for the former sushi place, that used to be at this address (get your act together, Google).“

“Since a boy I have spent 67 years travelling the globe, and this is the best Chinese food I have had, not exotic as I found in China and Hong Kong, but original, well made and exceptionally good. Great service and nice people!“
“Fantastic restaurant with delicious food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and even on a weekday it was clear this place has many, many happy regulars. The owner greeted everyone with such energy, and the whole place felt lively yet relaxing. Everything was spotless, and every dish we tried was excellent. Can’t wait to come back!“

“We have been ordering from Ginger and Soy for both takeout and dine in for the past several years. They produce some of the best dishes, piping hot to your door. It is a premium product and more expensive than local alternatives. It is worth it. Family members even fight over the leftovers a day later.“

“Good food that's pretty standard. Didn't feel that anything in particular stood out for dimsum specially for a place that was Michelin rated or award winning. Pricing sure reflected it though. Quality of the ingredients did seem a little better than the other restaurants.“

“I was introduced to this place through my friend. I was skeptical at first to try it, but man oh man it was delicious.
I had the beef noodles and it hit the spot, it was cooked very well and the broth was spot on. What I loved more about it was the owner who runs the place. He was so warm and welcoming.
I highly would recommend this place if you want the food to hit the spot and not cause damage to your pocket !“

“Tiny hole in the wall that serves great food. There are only a few tables inside and it gets filled fast. We walked in, but it seems they take reservation. Food came out not too long. Owner was very attentive. We were planning to take left over home, but we forgot our box. The staff ran outside to catch up with us and he caught up with us a block further, gave us the box! What a service! ❤️ We will be back!“

“This restaurant is our family’s go-to dim sum spot! It’s very accessible by transit, and the waitress Theresa is very friendly, hospitable, and warm with the guests. She’s great at communicating and giving recommendations for deals and combos, so it’s always a great experience to dine at this restaurant when she’s around. Highly recommend!“

“Overall experience here was great! The food was super fresh, customer service was on point as expected and the atmosphere was incredibly lively. There’s so much happening here which can get a bit overwhelming, especially with all of the clashing sounds. You’ve got the main music, birthday celebrations with tambourines and the hand pulled noodle guy that walks around with his own speaker! On top of that, it’s also incredibly busy. The only thing that genuinely made my table uncomfortable was the noodle guy. He came to our table and hit our friend in the face and head with the noodle multiple times. At first it was funny, but as it kept going we got increasingly more uncomfortable. He hit all 3 of us in the faces and the entire experience made us feel really weird. Other than that, everything else was great. The waiting area is super spacious and they have lots to do to keep you distracted and busy while you wait!“

“Wow, such refreshing and chewy dumplings! Absolutely blown away. My husband and I tried the sampler, but opted to replace the squid dumpling and fish dumpling with pork and cabbage as we are not a seafood fan - they were accommodating. So happy that we tried this place!“

“For a restaurant featured on the Michelin Guide, Chef's Choice is a very solid restaurant all around. It's got a very nice interior atmosphere, with tasteful decor.
Quick and attentive staff and service, combined with incredibly good dim sum and other Cantonese dishes, which makes Chef's Choice my choice for Vancouver dim sum places.“

“Authentic Xuecai Pork Shredded Pian’er Chuan that truly brings back memories of Hangzhou. The noodles are chewy and flavorful — even better than some I had in Hangzhou. Clean, comfortable fast-casual setting, a nice selection of Jiangnan snacks, and very warm, friendly service. I’ll definitely be a regular. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Zhejiang cuisine.“

“Wo’s Chinese Restaurant serves authentic Chinese food with flavors that feel traditional and satisfying. The wonton bowl is generous with plenty of wontons, which is a plus, but the amount of soup is quite limited. It would be better if a bigger bowl were used to accommodate more soup, or if wonton soup refills were offered when reasonably needed.
The restaurant could improve on cleanliness, as it doesn’t feel as well-maintained as expected. On the positive side, there is ample parking space available at the back, making it convenient for customers.
Overall, a good spot for authentic Chinese food, but some improvements in cleanliness and portion balance would greatly enhance the dining experience.“

“What's there more to say, this place is iconic to the Cantonese food scene in Vancouver and should have a flag stamped here for those enthusiasts.
Service is whatever, it's what you expect from a Chinese restaurant. I'd give the aunties some slack, they are overworked and unvalued. People complaining about poor service are the same people who are upset about their water being wet, it's to be expected. Although knowing how to speak Cantonese goes a long way but obviously I'm not saying that only Catons should dine here, just something to keep in mind.“

“🥗 Food: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
👉🏻 I tried their A5 rice noodle soup, and the noodles were soft and plain, perfectly soaking up the flavors of the broth. The soup base was fresh, light, and very comforting—simple but satisfying. 🍜
💁🏼 Service: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
👉🏻 The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience easy and pleasant. They were quick to serve and helpful with recommendations. 😊
🍽️ Environment: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
👉🏻 It’s a small restaurant tucked along the street, so it’s not the easiest to spot at first. But once inside, it feels cozy and authentic, perfect for enjoying a comforting bowl of noodles. 🌸🏮“

“Another one of Vancouver’s culinary Chinese hotspots.
If you’re looking for some authentic Chinese cuisine, this is definitely the place to go.
The beef and tripe dish were excellently flavoured with a perfect blend of spices. A nice hint of Szechuan peppercorns gives this the authentic flavour and slight numbing of the tongue.
The fried rice was well flavoured and perfectly seasoned. A little bit disappointing with the frozen vegetables, but still a very good fried rice nonetheless.
I highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to trying more of their amazing dishes“

“5 stars is not enough. Not only is the food fresh and delicious but the service is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. It’s run by a husband and wife and they are so generous and compassionate you can tell they thrive off taking care of their community. Love this place, 10/10 would come back again!“

“My husband brought me here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. He was recommended to come by a friend and we were glad we came.
The owner was so nice and had messaged my husband with recommendations of dishes to try (some of which were not on the menu).
All his dishes were amazing and so delicious. As he is the only chef, dishes took a while to come out but we did not mind the wait at all. The server was nice and tended to us when we needed anything.
It was definitely worth our trip to downtown for this restaurant. Highly recommended!!“

“Busy busy place. Went there for dim dim as a large group. Reservations a must as there is always long line ups. Food was hot and portions were generous. We missed the special pricing as it was a holiday so it didn't apply. Still good value.“

“If I could give Happy Lamb Vancouver 10 stars, I honestly would. The value here is unbeatable—the portions, the quality, and the overall experience are worth every dollar. The restaurant is spotless every time I visit, and you can tell they take real pride in keeping everything clean and comfortable. On top of that, the staff are incredible: friendly, attentive, and always willing to help without ever feeling rushed. It’s rare to find a place that nails great food, great service, and great atmosphere all at once, but this one does it perfectly“

“We often drive up from Seattle to Vancouver for the purpose of eating GOOD Chinese food. Today we went to Noodle Arts for the first time and OMG.....I'm in love and might have to just move here!!!! We are vegetarian and they were very accommodating with many choices on the menu. The hand-pulled MADE TO ORDER Dan Dan noodles were out of this world and you get to choose the diameter of the noodles you'd like. We chose the thickest (5mm) and they were so fresh and chewy. I was in culinary heaven. The sauce the noodles were in was divine. We also ordered Spicy Salted Tofu and the portion was immense. The tofu was fried but very dry and not oily at all. For dessert we order the red bean pancake and it was not great and very oily. The woman who waited on us was very friendly and helpful. Even the tea was yummy. Can't wait to go again!“

“I am so impressed with their lunch specials! My fave was the green beans and beef with the hot and sour soup. Usually with lunch specials at restaurants the soup is small with scant things in it but their soup was LOADED with stuff (including a few little shrimp). The whole meal (with tea!) is just 13.95!! I don't know if they can continue to afford such a good deal for long so I plan to try and enjoy it as much as possible:). Also went there with a a few colleagues for family style and delicious.“

“Family run. Fresh hand made noodles.
I had high expectations. Really, I enjoyed each component the vegetables, the meat, the flavor the noodles.
This is one of the best noodle places I've been to in years, price was very fair.
I recommend this place to support local.
Also has good ice cream.“

“Fell into this place by accident while visiting Vancouver. So glad we did. Wonder to see the noodles made. cumin lamb was out of this world as was the scallion pancake. “I keep hearing good things about lin's on West Broadway. I finally decided to give it a try one afternoon.
Luckily it wasn't busy, I got seated right away. I ordered the soup dumplings, but longs noodle house is still the best in the city. None the less, still delicious. The beef roll was done nicely, not heavy or greasy. Then the beef Shanghai meat ball. This is definitely a dish to be shared, it's huge. I can't imagine eating this all alone without having the meat sweats LOL.
Overall, service was on the slow side, but not rude. Prices are fair for the area as well.“

“I've been coming here for 15+ years and can't imagine why this lovely, impeccably clean and relatively healthy-ish restaurant doesn't have 4.5/5 reviews or higher. The food is so good. “I came here in a rainy afternoon with a very hungry tummy after looking at their lunch combo signage for a while. Eventually I decided to give it a try.
The restaurant interior has a very casual and mediocre eatery layout. When I got in there some servers were having lunch so only one server was serving the guests. There wasn’t many guests that day as usual. The server was attentive and caring.
I ordered the combo of pork and preserved egg congee with the steamed glutinous rice with chicken in lotus leaf (Lo Mai Gai). The portion were good. Congee was nice and they had three pieces of Lo Mai Gai which is surprisingly good in terms of quantity. I had eaten all three and got so stuffed afterward. Overall it was satisfying.
This restaurant offers many choices of Chinese fishes including seafoods dishes of crabs and lobsters. It would be better for a group like family dinner as the prices are generally high compared to the peers.“

“Been meaning to try Kung Fu Noodle for years. It's located on a smaller side street just off Kingsway.
We ordered the Kung Fu Beef Roll ($12.95) which was not bad. The pancake had a nice chewy but crisp texture. Wish it had a bit more sauce with it tho.
The Beef Chow Mein and Fried Squid combo ($23.95) is not like chow mein that you get at other restaurants. These hand-cut noodles have a thicker shape and better mouthfeel. Wasn't a big fan of the squid which seemed to have a light fish and chip batter.
General Tso's Chicken on Rice ($16.50) had a sweet and slightly spicy flavour but a lightly crispy exterior.
The best thing to get here are the noodles. If we come back, we'll want to try their noodle soups.
The place is cash or debit only and service isn't their strong suit.“

“Great experience! Only wish this place had a location that was closer to home! Definitely recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is busy and smaller in size; the tables fill up quickly!
The food was so good I forgot to take pictures of everything before eating. Their dumplings and their pork bun/sandwich were excellent, and all their noodles had amazing flavour and texture. Everything we ordered was delicious, and came out fairly quickly. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely come back!“
