“I was a huge fan of Delirama, my absolute favorite sandwich was the Delirama Mama, so I was sad to hear the owner was going to pivot in a new direction. I prefer take out to dining in, so I waited for that to be an option, and put my order in today. I got a fried chicken sandwich and the pastrami Reuben, both with chips. The menu says a small salad is served with the sandwiches.The fried chicken sandwich is HUGE and delicious. I prefer my fried chicken to be a little on the dark side, which this was. I only wished there were more pickles, but that's because if I could subsist on pickles I would.The Reuben was the same as the Delirama one. My husband was bummed it was "so small," but that's because I used to get the biggest sandwich option and this one is the regular sized one.The chips were yummy, and still warm from the fryer by the time I got home. Or had just taken on some of the radiant heat from my sandwich. Either way, delightful.The salad is not small, it is quite generous in size. The dressing is a little sweet and a lot acidic, which I really enjoyed. My one complaint is that it was overdressed for me, but I prefer the minimum amount of dressing.I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because it was a bit dark inside for me.”

“Came on a Saturday evening, and there was a long line down the block. They only serve 1 type of pizza and 1 type of salad, and you decide how much you want of each. For the pizza, you can order per slice, half pie, or whole pie. You order at the front and then choose a seat if you're dining in. Since there's only one choice for everything, it all comes out right away when you order and pay. If you want anything specialized - gluten-free, vegan, etc then they tell you to go to counter to order first, then get in line to pay. Would recommend getting the green sauce as well for an extra delicious kick. They also have outdoor dog friendly dining. Delicious pizza, highly recommend.”

“My experience here today was really great! The customer service was exceptional. The food was delicious and a perfect price point for the quantity. I was already planning on coming here today and I'm very glad I didn't let a previous negative reviewer change my mind. We got chicken tikka kabob and steak kabob paratha rolls, the meat quality was outstanding. There was no "hot lettuce" anywhere in sight. The rolls were meat forward, which is my preference, and came with diced cucumbers, onions, raita, and I believe a very small amount of a tamarind sauce (when they gave us squeeze bottles of additional sauces the lady called it Pakistani BBQ sauce which I thought was not only cute but helpful because it was much thinner and less overpowering than some tamarind chutneys, I really liked it). We also got samosas and they were really good but I will try something else next time because the cinnamon was a bit strong for my taste, but that's not a dig, I'm excited to try new things on their menu! And the mango lassi they gave us samples of is outstanding, I will come back to get that as a sweet treat soon. The 5 star reviews are not BS :)”

Really hit the spot in terms of flavor. The burrito on the other hand was good not great. It had a way too thick of a flour wrap around the burrito. I felt like I was eating a 30% flour wrap and only 70% filling. Otherwise, it was a good flavored burrito. I'll be back if I'm ever in the neighborhood for the quesabirria.”

“I came across a reel on Instagram and today when we visited the Hall of Science I had to go to Southside Station. They have some of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was crispy, big and tasty, the slaw was perfectly tangy and and the sauce hit the spot. Perfectly balanced flavors in a big delicious sandwich. In addition, we tried the garlic noodles and the curly fries whichwere really good. Portions are good. I recommend this hidden gem. The Orange Blossom Latte was so delicious and smooth and I was able to order it dairy free (with oat milk- best brand of oat milk too) which was perfect for my gut. “Lunchtime before a performance at nearby Zellerbach Hall turned up a hidden gem in Julia's. The ratatouille, which I am a big fan of and therefore picky about, was seasoned traditionally, the ingredients and consistency were all true to the classic version. I was more than satisfied. The gluten free chickpea panisses (a tower of 3 round chickpea "fries") were a delightful and delicious first, so scrumptious in fact that I quickly found a recipe to make these popular South of France favorites at home. Creme brulee with a generous crust of caramelized sugar topping a creamy custard, another classic and favorite of mine was shamelessly gobbled with gusto with no manners whatsoever. The table service from Natalie was cheerful, discreet and attentive on the Saturday we visited. The ambiance was refined, the dining area dominated by a large framed mirror and carved ceiling. One star is missing from what could have been five due to the rather cool reception from the seating hostess. We found her a tad haughty. We will return undaunted, however. What a special discovery and worth the trip across the bay from Marin.”

I entered during a time when there was only one other person waiting for a to-go order. The guy who was working was nice - especially when I kept asking questions. All of the food looked great, well-stocked, and the display they had showing its name was well read. There was a lot I wanted to try, but I limited myself to two slices of their pizzas. - Capricciosa $7 (one of their most popular ones - mushrooms, olives, artichoke, mozzarella, and ham) - San Daniele $7.50 (this might be a seasonal one as its not listed on their website - had prosciutto and arugula) Checking in on the Yelp app, I received a free piece of their focaccia bread which he cut in two pieces for me. I would love to come back here for their aperitivo (happy hour) which is held from 4-6:30pm. I find that this place is great for a quick bite, grab n' go, and dining in for the cool atmosphere. There are a few two person tables which could be combined together for a larger group and a few bar tables along the wall which is good for two people, along with a few cute tables for outside dining which I'd love to see more of in the state of California. The food tasted amazing! Shared and eaten once I arrived home. I wish I had gotten more to try!”

And wow, am I glad I decided to search Yelp today for lunch. The service was super sweet, friendly, and perfect. We had a hard time deciding on what to try first (because everything sounded good and the smells from the kitchen were amazing). What we ordered: - Tom Kha Soup with Chicken Excellently flavors and just enough spice for me. My spouse loves really spicy dishes and said it would be delicious with more spiciness, but thought the broth was so good that it didn’t even need to change. We actually just wish there was an option to order a larger size, it was that good! Sometimes my spouse like to just have soup as the entree. - Green Curry with Chicken (comes with rice) Wow! Super bright and fresh taste! Smells really good and tastes even better. It was very fresh and loved all the vegetables inside (eggplant soaked up all the delicious flavor just right, baby corn- yum, etc.). - Pad Cashew Nut with Pork (comes with rice) AMAZING. Mouth-wateringly delicious. I did not want the dish to end. It was the perfect amount of flavor and freshness. Loved the cashews, the carrots, the onions, the cilantro on top. Perfect combination of sweet & salty sauce with nuttiness from the cashews, enhanced by the onion, carrot, cilantro. Since it was their first day, we enjoyed free beverages. The Thai tea was so good- you can get oat milk for $1 more. The Black Mango Iced Tea was also delicious and you get refills on it. I cannot wait to go back and eat every dish. Since it was their first hour open, we were there when the Doordash photographer came to snap pictures of all the dishes. WOW! We were eyeing the Lobster Ravioli and honestly it looks too good to miss. So we’ll probably be back later this week to try it and more. Congratulations on your opening. Thank you for bringing delicious Thai food to the area. We just moved up here from San Diego, and we’ve been having a hard time finding true Thai food and flavors. Many of the Thai places we’ve eaten up up here lack flavor or are just different because they’re fused with Laotian dishes or another type of cuisine. “Best Persian food in the East Bay. I have tried all of them. Fresh, delicious and made to order. Nice people and wonderful flavors. I had the falafel and salmon wraps and they were amazing. The salmon was marinated in advance of grilling and therefore had its own distinct flavor. The falafel balls were very tasty and the wrap bread used for both was original middle eastern bread. I've also had the meat plates and rice. The meat was tender and flavorful and grilled to order. The bolani was amazing, freshly made, and packed items ready to take home are also authentic and delicious. They have vegetarian & vegan options in addition to meat.”

“I just discovered this great brewery. They have a nice array of IPA's and don't miss the Coffee and Cigarette's Stout. Yum. I only tried the meatballs, but they were very tasty with just the right amount of spice. The SF Chronicle food critics highly rate their pizza. They have a special pizza of the day plus a couple of standards. Big open space inside and out for big gatherings and also comfortable for me and my husband. We would have preferred different music, but other people seemed to like it. Don't miss this neighborhood gem.”

I usually order takeout so I can't speak to the service or the interior much. Even though I've been here so many times, I've never taken a photo because eating this has been a simple part of my routine. The flavors of everything are very bold but come at you in productive ways. Nothing feels too overwhelming and at the end you are left very satiated. I urge you to try something here if you are on Northside for any reason. You might just have a new local favorite Mexican place.”

“Best value caffe latte in the Bay Area! This establishment offers a solid latte for $3.75 along with tasty pastries and donuts from the finest high end bakeries in the East Bay. The setting is no frills with a few tables and chairs in a largely empty parking lot with no car traffic that catches the sun. The huge lot must be worth a fortune as Fellini splits it with a pizza restaurant, hence the lack of traffic. I paid $6.50 for a latte at Sightglass in San Francisco that was not as good. My latte and 2 excellent pastries came to $12. The gentleman behind the counter was kind and friendly. You can also purchase their exclusive Mr Espresso roasted beans at an equally reasonable price. Head there quick before the landlord cashes in on the lot which is right across the street from Target. Best value latte and easiest parking in Berkeley makes this a new favorite destination for me.Parking: Largest and emptiest parking lot in Berkeley”

“A very stalwart beer selection. One attractive option was the sampler flight of six 5 oz pours for $18.88, which I chose. The woman who handled the order and pours was helpful, having the names of the beers printed out on a receipt and placing the samplers in their respective order clockwise, so that I could know which beers they were. Unfortunately, whatever she offered in helpfulness, she lacked in friendliness. She just seemed to want to quickly finish my order and head to do something else, even though it was quiet and I was the only customer in the pour line. That's why I only gave Gilman Brewing Company 4 stars instead of 5. I chose to try a flight of their IPAs as determined by the beertender. Here are my tasting notes on a scale of 1 to 10: *Frog on Bicycle: 5. Not much flavor. Low on suds. *Punxsutawney Phil's: 5. Lacked flavor. *Banjo Cat: 8. Strong. Clean. Smooth. Robust. Reminded me of Russian River's Pliny the Younger...but just a tad. *Missouri Lean: 6. Strong. Bitter. Hoppy. Uneven. *Quarter Panel: 7. Clean and Balanced. Decent amount of suds. *Bad Tattoo: 6. Flavorful and fruity. But lacking in suds. There was a big seating area inside, as well as a good number of tables under the cover of large canopies outside, which was where I hung out on a pleasant, balmy day. It was also very dog friendly, as fellow patrons sat nearby with their leashed besties. Also, several dog bowls for water were around. I've heard the pizza here is great, and I will definitely be back to try it and pair it with some of the stellar brews.”

The oatmeal bowls are absolutely delicious, as are the smoothies. Everything is high-quality and fresh. “This is at the top of the list for my sushi spots in the vicinity of Berkeley campus. The restaurant is relatively relaxed and quiet with indoor seating and, as a smaller place, the food can take a little longer to arrive (20-30 minutes). This is no dealbreaker but just something to keep in mind. The food itself exceeded all of our expectations. Splitting the sushi burritos into three, we didn't expect each one to be particularly sizable, but they're bigger than any of us expected and the flavors are spot on. I've had sushi burritos before, but they've always felt engineered, with the sushi part being an after thought. This place truly serves what I'd consider a sushi burrito. The three rolls we got were the golden spider, 49er, and mexico city spicy tuna roll. They were all great. Admittedly, I rarely think sushi is bad since it's my #1 comfort food, but this place sets itself apart by letting the flavors of the fish carry the bite. The 49er roll, for instance, tastes like a bite of fatty salmon adorned with other complimentary flavors, rather than a bite of rice and seaweed with an added bit of fatty salmon. There are a few other sushi spots in Berkeley but this is the one I'd go to. If you're a sushi lover, I bet this place won't disappoint!”
