“I was in the neighborhood and accidentally discover Jidaiya. Being the first time dining there, I was pleasantly surprised. We had the Tonkotsu shio ramen and the broth flavor was intense and rich, just the way I like it. Also had generous portion of topping and veggies. I especially love the sheets of seaweed and spoonful of toasted sesame that added the crunch, flavor and texture to the ramen. The only minor imperfection were the thinly sliced chashu. Sadly they were not my favorite as it's slight on the lean, tougher side. Please improve on the chashu, other than that, it's an awesome bowl of ramen! The noodles were cooked el dente. I'm a ramen snob and this place is pretty legit! We also order a side of takoyaki. These were one of the largest takoyaki, with a nice outer crunch and soft, gooey filling with plenty of octopus. If you're very hungry, they offer a combo with the order of ramen. The combo are very fair priced and lot of selection to choose from. Friendly service, proactive about asking if we needed 2 smaller bowls as we were sharing a bowl of ramen. The ambience is dated but feels homey like a true mom and pop shop. Though the dated feel didn't bother me much since the food is pretty good. I mean, come on, where can you find a bowl of decent ramen that still cost under $15!! Talk about value and good food. Regarding napkins, there were boxes of tissues. Which I thought it was a nice gesture as it's soft. With the hot bowl of soup, I appreciate the little touch of soft tissues. It's an odd thing, but it was thoughtful. I highly suggest this place whenever you're in the neighborhood. It's hard to be a small business especially in this economy. I would have really preferred to dip into the same sweet and sour sauce that was drizzled on top instead of the water spicy mayo so will request that change if there is a future visit. I have a sore throat so didn’t want any spice in my ramen. Overall good but think the sauce was on the more bland side compared to say Jinya. Probably more flavor as spice levels increase. The soft boiled egg was done perfectly. Overall enjoyed my meal“
“I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and placed a large order. One of the items ordered was the chicken teriyaki bento box. Everything item on the plate was freshly made and delicious. There were 4 pieces of tempura veggies and 4 pieces of California roll. The chicken teriyaki bowls were just as fresh and contained an ample amount of chicken and rice. The owner was kind and gracious and friendly. An additional plus for that. This is a great place to go for sushi. The California rooll and the spicy tuna roll we ordered we delicious. The last time we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes... Therefore, take the electronic queue in advance, or by QR code.The restaurant itself is extremely small, the tables with windows to the kitchen are blocked by partitions and you get the impression that you are in prison waiting to talk on the phone through the glass. But despite such a strange decision, it is quite convenient for the staff, and the staff here is very friendly and fast.“

It's surprisingly difficult to find sushi places that serve vegan rolls other than avocado/cucumber rolls. Blue Bird Haus has a wonderful selection of vegan rolls, ramen, and appetizers, and more. I ordered the V-Alaskan roll and veggie egg rolls. It was so delicious and filling. FYI it does come with pickled ginger and wasabi and the V-Alaskan is 8 rolls. While delicious, it is pretty expensive but that's to be expected as plant-based alternatives are usually pricey. “Came here because of an IG video. Michelin ramen in a supermarket? Ok I’ll make the drive to see what the buzz is all about. Upon further research, their other location is in the Michelin guide. It’s still clearly advertised as so at this location. But nonetheless, I did enjoy their tsukemen ramen. The broth was rich and hearty. Their noodles and chashu were extra thick and different from other tsukemen ramen I’ve tried previously. I could tell quality ingredients went into making this ramen. Was it worth the drive? Probably not but I had a great time at the Japanese market and left with an inflatable Pocky stick!“

“Nothing but good things. This is our go to sushi and ramen spot. I have never had a sushi here I didn't like. They have a 50 off menu for sushi and it's such a great deal. My kids and hubby love to get the tampopo ramen set with sushi. It's definitely worth the price and is a good amount of food. My favorite sushi is the Japanese burrito and the handrolls are delicious and good sized. Service here is always good. My water cup never gets low and they are very attentive which is a plus if you every get heavy handed on Wasabi. Definitely recommend this establishment and have referred many of my friends to come and try it out themselves“

They have meal specials which will give you drink, egg roll, and entree, so it's very affordable for a substantial dining experience. Over the years they've added ramen (although I secretly miss the rice burger, which was squished between crispy rice patties instead of buns). My fave is the New Orleans chicken. The vegan items are made to order and can take some time, so be prepared to be patient.“

Not only is Giraffe Ramen delicious for takeout, it's actually tastier than many of the ramens I've had dining at ramen shops. It comes topped with wood ear mushrooms, half a soft-boiled egg, bean sprouts, bamboo, ginger, green onions, and of course two tender cuts of tonkotsu. The broth is nicely flavored without being too salty. I really appreciated the thoughtful packaging which separated the noodles/topping and broth in separate compartments within one container so it doesn't get soggy. The container is tied up in a plastic bag to prevent spill. The ratio of noodles/topping and broth was perfect. The next time you have a rainy day ramen craving, give Giraffe Ramen a try!“

I haven’t eat at new Mitsuwa food court since at old Mitsuwa food court love the ramen flavors & Hiyashi Chuka as well. Sometimes good; sometimes terrible. The service is pretty good. Tonkotsu ramen is my favorite such high quality. I highly recommend visiting there again. The parking lot is big, plenty of space. Night time is great for customers visiting to Mitsuwa Marketplace. (Yeah no homeless. Just safe.)“

Very good! The ramen was al dente, the chashu tender. Same as I remember the tonkotsu black being from the Buena park restaurant. A solid bowl of ramen, which I greatly appreciated.Thai tea ice cream-After a piping hot bowl of ramen, nothing better than some ice cream! Made with real milk, this perfectly portioned Thai tea ice cream tasted just like it's namesake, and was enough of an indulgence to where I didn't feel guilty.Service was great. The young man attending to customers was friendly & hospitable. A good amount of seating inside, with sushi bar seating available. Parking is via the Target lot, with Yoshiharu Ramen located adjacent & east of The Kebab Shop.Another one on rotation. Yoshiharu Ramen is a quality ramen shop, and a great addition to Cerritos.
