“Fashionable place for not just ramen, but gyoza and self-made hand rolls.
Dimly-lit, medium-spaced tables, service is good but a bit overwhelmed when they're at capacity (which is often!). Parking is limited on the street but doable.
Have to say the NYC location is better, but honestly would need to do another visit to confirm. Distinctly remember the self-made hand rolls in particular being quite good in New York and not nearly as memorable here.“

“Easily the best vegan ramen I’ve ever had. It has a really rich, savory broth, which is a nice change of pace since vegan broth is usually a watered down afterthought at most places. It comes fully loaded with mushrooms and hashbrowns (??!?) but you can add additional veggies or an egg if youre feeling it. Very simple menu but they execution is 1000/10!“

“The ramens were amazing! Awesome flavors that were not like all the other ramen places I’ve tried. I especially loved the Lemon Butter ramen because I could add truffle oil to it. That made it rich, yet easy on the palate. The staff is so sweet and welcomes you with a smile. I will be back!(:“

“I stumbled across this restaurant in El Segundo while I was on a business trip. this place is awesome! I got the black garlic hanasaku Ramen bowl, goyza, and a strawberry tea. the employees were so friendly and the food was fast, fresh, and delicious! I wish this was available in my local area, it would be a huge hit.“

“Small ramen place among several Japanese businesses in Torrance.
We were a family of 4. 2 kids and us parents all of us are vegan.
We ordered vegan gyoza and the 2 vegan ramen they had. The food is great even if the vegan options were limited.
The service felt rushed and the lady who attended us was curt/rude. We had to ask for bowls, cutlery, napkins and everything else.
The other lady was nicer.“

“Yet another hironori has opened up in LA and this one is close to LMU campus! The street parking is a bit abysmal especially since it's on an extremely busy highway but I did get lucky on my visit and got a spot up front. I don't actually know if there's parking on the rear.
I get the same bowl every time: tonkotsu with their original noodles and a side of garlic paste. It's delicious every single time.
I liked that they had cute little stickers!! Anyways, very grateful for this and always a 5 star rating from me.

“Been wanting to try this place for a couple years now. Glad we finally did. Excellent food, much better than any Jinya Ramen. We had a bunch of appetizers. Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.“

“Let's start with the service extremely helpful and very fast. You can choose to use the kiosk to or order at the register. Personally I usually walk away with the "build your own" adding an extra egg and green onions. Though no matter what you go for I'm sure you will love it.“

“Something here reminds me of the old school ramen places on Sawtelle, even though this place is not on Sawtelle. The loads of toppings, the style of the noodles, the whole execution feels very familiar.
Outdoor seating is a little patio with a high top and wood tones, and a touch screen outside to order and pay. Given it's right off the street it could be noisy, but wasn't too bad this most recent visit.
It's a solid ramen but not as fashionable or hip as the newer places, with a fairly rich (but not excessively so) broth. Hint: if you want tons of ginger, this is not the place for you.“

“This place right HERE!!!!!!!
This Ramen House is superior, premium and ultra! The broth base alone is transformative. I was taken away into another dimension personally, seriously.
I was literally weeping over the broth.
We had appetizers which were delicious and fresh. I can not wait to return.

“Santouka is one of the better chains of authentic Japanese ramen around.
I like this food court format, easy, reasonably priced, quick.
I had the miso and it was excellent!!!
The ramen too is priced right. $12.95 for small, $13.95 for medium and $15 for large.
Shio - it certainly has a lighter flavor than the Miso one but Miso will taste better in my opinion“

“Thursday after working OT, my coworker and myself were planning to have dinner before heading back home, while driving down the street on Olympic I saw this ramen shop and I noticed few fellas outside waiting to be seated , and I realized that maybe the place was good. Once we were there we have to write the name. Anyway after waiting for about 15-20 minutes it was our turn. The restaurant is not huge, but is clean. We have to scan the QR and Start from there. My coworker got spicy miso and I ordered the veggie ramen, short time after, we got our food and mine looked amazing, came with cherry tomatoes, fried eggplant, lotus, mizuna, and broccoli. Broth was perfect and very delicious. I believe shiitake would make a good match to the veggies, ear mushroom and nori and some corn, just my personal opinion. However every place is different and have their own ingredients, and I was very surprised when I saw mizuna in the ramen, never had ramen with mizuna. Highly recommend this shop for ramen lovers or anyone interested in trying it. It's worth the shot.“

“The food and vibe here are definitely old-skool healthy and delicious japanese food. it's not like all the other ramen restaurants popping up where the ingredients and broth are much heavier whereas at Asa, the masterful simplicity of the broth complimenting the toppings is something to be appreciated. The place is old, and smells a bit like cigarettes but I got used to it pretty quickly (I am very smell sensitive so I almost left but the man who I am guessing is the owner, came over and gave us little chips with our beer and he smiled and giggled a little. I instantly fell in love ❤️). Everything was delicious. Try it out!“

“I recently tried Kyoto Paitan Ramen last week and Curry Ramen this week at this spot. The Kyoto Paitan Ramen was good, but I was really impressed by the Curry Ramen. It wasn’t very spicy, but it was packed with flavor. I prefer thicker noodles, so I’d love to see that option next time. Overall, a great experience!“

“Loved it!
First off, the ordering process is super simple — very easy and straightforward.
The food came out quickly, with hardly any wait time.
Prices are great, and the portion sizes are huge!
Everything was really delicious, with rich flavors and perfect texture.
Couldn’t find a single downside for myself.
Highly recommend!“

“Their signature ramen is legit. The soup base was perfect, not too salty for my preference. And mind you, this is fast food ramen. I also tried their free ginger side and I loved it, it is almost like candy. Paid 27 something for my ramen and green tea drink.“

“Back at JINYA Ramen Bar in Santa Monica (first discovered it in Austin!) - they have multiple LA locations.
Their spicy vegan ramen is one of the best vegetarian bowls I’ve had—filling, flavorful, and customizable. I usually ask them to skip the tofu and sometimes add bok choy or cabbage. They also serve meat options, but honestly, the veggie ramen stands on its own. Some people add egg to the bowl :)
Indoor-outdoor seating is nice, service is friendly, and parking’s easy with a paid lot right behind.
The menu seems to have changed slightly this visit —missed the little “slurping” message at the bottom of the bowl this time! Still, one of my favorite spots for casual ramen in LA.“

“Hidden gem. Noticeably high quality ingredients and great service. Even my Korean mom, who is germaphobic and difficult to impress, enjoyed her meal very much. Will be coming here again.
We ordered the oyster/uni (!), the baked scallop roll (!), the chirashi bowl, the sea cucumber, and the spicy japan scallop roll. Everything tasted fantastic and we didn't leave a single grain of rice.
In my opinion, it's rare to encounter Japanese food in America that I end up loving. Every raw ingredient looked and tasted fresh. Uni here was creamy, the green tea was well-steeped, and the sesame seeds on the spicy japan roll were aromatic.
I highly recommend that you come here for a special occasion or whenever you crave extremely FRESH Japanese food.“

“We had a party of 12, the restaurant was very accommodating to our needs. My friend is a regular patron and celebrated her daughter's birthday with the party. The staff allowed us to bring a birthday cake and even put the cake on a serving plate! They got all our orders correctly! Food was tasty and service was top notch. Highly recommend if you want ramen or rice bowl.“

“I had the pleasure of stopping by Jinya Ramen Express on Hollywood Boulevard, and I was really impressed! The ramen was excellent — full of flavor, perfectly cooked noodles, and a rich, satisfying broth. It’s an express-style restaurant, so there aren’t any seats inside, but I had no problem enjoying my meal outside using one of their tablets, which made for a convenient and casual dining experience.
The only downside was that the person taking my order didn’t seem particularly motivated, which was a bit of a letdown. But the quality of the food more than made up for it! If you’re looking for a quick, delicious ramen fix, this is a great spot in the heart of LA. Highly recommend!
Vegetarian options: There are veggie and vegan options when you put together your bowl. For vegan you might have to ask.“
