“Easily the best vegan ramen I’ve ever had. It has a really rich, savory broth, which is a nice change of pace since vegan broth is usually a watered down afterthought at most places. It comes fully loaded with mushrooms and hashbrowns (??!?) but you can add additional veggies or an egg if youre feeling it. Very simple menu but they execution is 1000/10!“

My lady and I shared some great steamed pork/chicken pot stickers with a spicy yuzu sauce that was tangy and spicy. She had the chicken ramen and I had the Tekesume (sorry if I misspelled this). Both were great dishes and filling. Can't wait to come back.“

Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.“

“You order off a kiosk screen from a set menu of ramen options and there are a ton of add ons that can get pricey fast. Service was great even with the electronic ordering start. Ramen can be described as Americanized, but it was still tasty for a lunch date. Portions are generous, so you will likely take some home.“

“tiny little hole in the wall place in the listed area that a very well used exposed kitchen area and a small menu. If a dive bar were a restaurant, this would be it. And everything about this place is ah-mazing. The food is exceptional. They have ramen options I've never seen. Their appetizers are unique and so so good. And they're open late! Now that the weather is getting colder, I am naturally gravitate to more warming foods like Ramen. I am currently on a Ramen tear so expect to see more reviews of other places that serve Ramen.

I am big fan of Mitsuwa Market, a Japanese market in Venice that is sort of a food court and mini-mall to all things Japanese. Hokkaido is just one of the establishments housed in the market. Their menu is extensive for such a small kitchen. You sit in a communal food court area that has someone clearing tables which is nice. This is a no frills kind of place so don’t expect much in the way of environment or service. Nevertheless everyone is very kind and polite. I ordered a basic pork Ramen which very good. Quality of the pork is always a distinguishing factor and here it was average. That being said the broth is also key and I found it very rich and tasty. I have been here twice now and will be back again.“

“Thursday after working OT, my coworker and myself were planning to have dinner before heading back home, while driving down the street on Olympic I saw this ramen shop and I noticed few fellas outside waiting to be seated , and I realized that maybe the place was good. Once we were there we have to write the name. Anyway after waiting for about 15-20 minutes it was our turn. The restaurant is not huge, but is clean. We have to scan the QR and Start from there. My coworker got spicy miso and I ordered the veggie ramen, short time after, we got our food and mine looked amazing, came with cherry tomatoes, fried eggplant, lotus, mizuna, and broccoli. Broth was perfect and very delicious. I believe shiitake would make a good match to the veggies, ear mushroom and nori and some corn, just my personal opinion. However every place is different and have their own ingredients, and I was very surprised when I saw mizuna in the ramen, never had ramen with mizuna. Highly recommend this shop for ramen lovers or anyone interested in trying it. It's worth the shot.“

This restaurant can easily go toe to toe with the best places in Bay Area in California. I will be coming back again when I visit Denver next time especially because everyone could not stop talking about the amazing flavors each bowl of ramen had to offer.

I ordered the spicy vegan ramen bowl and I would easily order it again even though I prefer to try different menu items each time I go to a restaurant, there’s nothing quite like trying a dish that you instantly know has become part of your classic go-to dishes for future orders.

“Less 1 star because airport price gouging but keep reading: I was very happy with the tonkatsu salt ramen. Like I would actually delay eating prior to the airport just to have this again and chill prior to boarding. Sometimes other ramen broths don't get the attention they deserve because a ramen place will specialize in one, so I can't speak for any other dishes and it'd be shame if so, but tonkatsu salt is where it's at, and I'm not just saying good for airport food. I hope they keep the quality high here, finally a place I'm not insulted to eat at inside an airport.“

“I have been coming to Kanpai for over 15 years. They finally opened up a location in Santa Monica. The most important Takeaway about this restaurant is the wide variety of exotic Japanese sushi sashimi. They have incredible seasonal type shellfish, and a variety of fish that you will not ordinarily get at any other sushi restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant to the real Japanese sushi enthusiast.“

“I finally made it to Chibiscus and had an excellent meal. It is a small shop with a few tables and has some cute decor. And it has parking!!!  There is street parking as well if the lot is full. It is not a huge book of a menu. But the choices are well done, and everyone should be able to find something they want here. I started with the veggie potstickers and a spicy tuna hand roll. And then had the chicken curry dish as my entrée. Do not order too much at first, save some room for dessert. Oh my gosh! The desserts look amazing, and folks drive from all over for the brick toasts here. My food arrived after just a bit. The potstickers were good. Good flavor and not overcooked, along with a nice dipping sauce. The spicy tuna handroll was huge! What a deal! Maybe 6-7 bites to eat it all. The curry came out and was a good amount of food, just like everything else that had already been served. A large scoop of rice, some pickled ginger and a big bowl of Curried chicken came out. It was really hot, and I needed to let it cool a bit before digging in. It had a nice flavor, like a brown sauce with curry added maybe(?). Potatoes, carrots, and plenty of chicken, it was a good amount of food. I probably should have taken some food home but ended up just eating everything there. Next time, dessert!“
