“Tried the soft tofu (fish egg) for the first time and was amazed with it. Also the supplement dishes on the table were amazing without exception. Note: medium spice is good enough, anything higher might overwhelm you but decide for yourself of “
“The food was delicious. Everything was amazing. The ambience was homely. I loved the Korean BBQ burrito. It was full of flavor with a unique taste. The Smoritto was really good, with a nice, sweet taste staying in your mouth. I would go there everyday.“
“Great atmosphere for a date night! We ordered the salmon tartare, rose tteokbokki, and kfc cauliflower for appetizers. All of them were great but I was most impressed by the tteokbokki! We followed with the short ribs and the basque cheesecake dessert. They were good but the appetizers were more impressive. I was also disappointed that they no longer did the sweet potato chiffon cake :(“
“Cocurry was here forever, but even the last time we came, it wasn't the same. Kong Sarang, on the other hand was hopping! The place quickly filled up after we arrived. That always happens to us. We ordered the seafood pancake and the combo of pork belly and tofu soup. They quickly served us with 8 varieties of banchan. I was a tad disappointed that we didn't get asked like the tables around us if we wanted any refills on the banchan. I felt like once we ordered and our food came out, we turned into red-headed step-children, and they forgot about Dre. The food was good. Comparable to Tofu House in Newark. The seafood pancake was hefty. She's a big girl. One could get full just off of that. We probably would return if in the mood for Korean food.“
“Higher-end, likely one of the best Korean BBQ places in Silicon Valley! Stylish decoration and ambiance are appropriate for the cuisine and culture. Good service with refills on side dishes. Beyond the barbecue, a-la-carte items are good also with no skipping on the ingredients!“
“My mom and I came to visit 2/28/24 and neither of us have had authentic Korean BBQ before. We were both so blown away. Everything was delicious and you could tell the owner truly cared about his restaurant and every dish that came out. He recommended the bulgogi japchae, the sweet and spicy chicken, and the potstickers. (Sorry for not getting exact names right) I ordered the soy garlic chicken as well. Let me tell you, that is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Every bite was crispy, juicy, and flavorful and all of the other sides were delicious as well. I am so glad we found this place and my mom and I truly had a great night. Thank you so much for your kindness and we will be back :)“
“I love this place. The food is crazy delicious! I recommend to order wings and Ttokbokki. The employees are always nice and friendly. However, I have to wait at least 30-40 mins to get the food. Besides that, I highly recommend this place. Also it’s easy to park“
“I've got to this place so many times at the service is always good. The prices are there, but the quality of the desert remains consistent. This place is definitely different compared to ice cream spots due to its unique factor of the cone. I have been to multiple locations and I have never been disappointed with the quality of the product.“
“The star dish: black bean noodles. If a dish has me hooked on every bite, I can literally make space even on a full stomach. This dish was 'it's: savory, 'al dente' noodles. Well made and a simple dish. The Sweet and Sour Pork (Beijing Style). Is what the restaurant is well known for. The big difference with this dish is that there's no red coloring in the sauce. I like how they served the sauce on top of the pork. This prevented the meat from becoming soggy from being drenched in sauce. I was not too impressed with the garlic beef. My guess is that they used some sort of tenderizer, which threw off the texture of the meat. It was okay, but not impressive. I went on a Saturday afternoon, when the restaurant was crowded. Wait time was around 30 minutes. The restaurant is nice and clean.“
“The food was very good. They were very generous on the side dishes.I also love their barley tea. We ordered the seafood pancake, spicy pork ribs, and the fried fish. It come with rice too. Everything was almost half gone and that's how good it was. I recommend coming here.“
“Second time trying this place and this time it was better. Still sad not about the banchan but I'm just spoiled being from Koreatown LA. The food was really good, super clean place, portions are still big and shareable. Service was fast and friendly, bathroom was very clean and place was still insta cute. Definitely coming back when getting a craving for some Korean food.“
“Regular spot when I'm in the bay. Long wait time is normal during dinner. Just make sure you check and join the waitlist on yelp. Lots of options for AYCE. The food came out insanely fast just a couple of minutes after taking the order with the pad.Lastly, it's 2024 and still a bunch of uneducated peeing on toilet seats #SMH #animals“
“The Beef Rib Udon at Hanabi Sushi is a must-try! The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfectly cooked, and the beef ribs are incredibly tender. The portions are generous and the service is always friendly. This has become my go-to spot for a satisfying and delicious meal!“
“I came here with my girlfriend for soondubu and dolsot bibimbap. It was pretty good, and there's a generous variety of side dishes. However, they give you plain white rice with your soondubu rather than the preferred purple rice. Also, they won't voluntarily refill your side dishes.“
“The food was exceptional. It would be a go-to for something to ease your hunger as soon as possible, as most of the orders are efficiently delivered. No doubt, as foodies, me and my family enjoyed the food overall, but what was significant was the number of vegetarian options. In Korean cuisine, there aren’t so many of them… However, at BibimBowl, we found around as many no-meat options as meaty options in each category. For people who prefer to get something with no gluten, they provide a wide range of gluten-free dishes as well.Everything, from service to food to ambience, was great. It felt welcoming, like something that would stay with you forever. Must visit!“
“Seafood Tofu is pretty good. I always get spicy for my soup and they make it spicy enough for the kick and not overpowering. The broth had the right taste of the cooked seafood of shrimp and clams. They add on egg that pretty much cook though so breaking the yolk wasn't possible. Maybe I'll ask them to stir it next time or leave it out. It comes with purple rice and add an order of spicy cucumber cause I didn't see Kim Chi on machine to order. I'd definitely be coming back.“
“We had a great time here. Got greeted by the hosts with great hospitality. The ambiance atmosphere was great. The restaurant was decorated with cozy and warm theme. The food was very good. Tasty banchan. Delicious and warm tofu stew. The bibimbab had the right flavors. At the end of the meal, the host brought two rice cracker packs and one special probiotic drink for my baby. Thank you!Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian dishes.Kid-friendliness: Kid’s high chairs and utensilsWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair entrance and tables“
“2/28/2024Sushiko4546 El Camino RealSte A4Los Altos, CA 94022We went there for lunch on a Wed around noon. It's in the Village Court plaza at the corner of ECR and San Antonio Rd. The store front faces San Antonio Rd. with parking around the periphery of the shops. Not too many people when we got there and it starting filling up while we dined. Probably no need for reservations. It's a booth and table layout with a smallish sushi bar. They didn't have calamari. Wifey had the stir fried seafood udon and I had the lunch special Bento Box with Saba Shioyaki and mixed Tempura. My Miso soup was thick, flavorful and had some Wakame but no diced tofu, just okay. The udon had a good selection of seafood, including mussels and shrimp. My Saba was juicy and tasty, with some edible pin bones. The mixed tempura was hot and included two sweet shrimp with assorted vegetables having a crunchy and slightly greasy breading. The salad had a mayo dressing and just okay, no sesame or soy flavors. The menu is extensive with sushi, bento and udon selections. The service was good, even with just a single server. The lunch special bento box is a good value. Similar to several other places in the area, it's repeatable.“
“Think of this as a fast food Korean place with some surprising hits. Again good ingredients make great food. Prepare for spicy if your sensitive that way. Wings are tasty (both flavors) and cooked perfectly. The pickled radishes and Kimchi coleslaw was very tasty. Looking forward to trying other special items.I ordered to go and it was packed nicely.Inside are some TVs and simple tables, good for quick lunch but I wouldn't bring a first date. Caution the floor is slippery.Parking: Lots of parking.Kid-friendliness: Yes if they can handle spicy food.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to wheel in but might need help with the door.“
“Small little shop next to lots of other eateries and shops. The chicken wings here are huge! So big that it can last many many meals. It tasted pretty good. Fresh and warm. Will return for sure! I thought this was a chain, but it's just one store. I think it's fairly popular though.“
“We really enjoyed our dinner at Mikado. The dinner was very good, and the outdoor seating made us feel safe. The tempura was excellent - lightly fried and not greasy at all. There wasn't anything wrong at all. I gave it 4 stars because I didn't walk away with the urge of coming back again soon. But I do recommend Mikado.Parking: Lots of free street parking not far away. There is also a large free parking lot on the other side of the building. No problem at all.“
“3.5 STARS Date: Saturday, April 6th, 2024 Time: 3pm Meal: Birthday Late Lunch / Early Dinner Part of: 6 Reservation Made: via Yelp about 1.5 weeks earlier Dinner BBQ & Hot Pot ($37.99) x6 *Japanese Miso *Healthy Herb x2 *Thai Pot: Vegan Spicy x3 *Pork Belly x2 *Ribeye x4 *Spicy Pork Belly *Pork Belly x2 *Pork Jowl x2 *Garlic Shrimp x2 *Galbi Marinated Short Rib x6 *Seapot Angus Beef x2 *Beef Tongue *Steam Rice x3 *J Lohr Cabernet 2019: 375ml ($23) *Sapporo Pitcher ($25) *Original Bottle Soju ($13) *Peach Bottle Soju ($13) *18% Tip ($54.35) For a friend's bday, we decided to do a late lunch at Seapot. I believe on weekends they are open all day and the dinner price applies all day as well. Tip was automatically added to the bill, but I think that was because we were a party of 6? I do adore Seapot for their conveyor belt offerings. I tend to like variety. And I gravitate towards a lot of veggies and seafood. So it's nice they are readily avail in small portions. I don't feel like I have to eat a portion of veggies for the whole table if no one else wants some. Also, super convenient since we don't have to wait for the server to bring those items out. Meat wise (and some seafood), you have to order thru the server. And there's a time limit of 90 mins. Unfortunately this took a while, so we were only able to order one round before the server came back for last call. For bigger parties, they should give two hours as that's not enough time to cook and eat everything. (We still had uncooked plates when they came back for last call.) There's only one grill at a table for 6. It's definitely not enough time to get your korean bbq on. For an AYCE place, this was one of the first times I didn't really leave full. Drinks wise, we had a red wine drinker, so we tried to order a bottle of red wine. The first bottle, they were out, so I asked about two other bottles. They were out of those too. He could only offer a bottle we didn't want, so we ended up with a half bottle of something we originally asked about. Corkage here is $25, while the average bottle was around $40-$50, so it didn't seem worth it to cork anything. I think if we had a smaller party, it would have been fine. But for a larger party, I don't think it's worth coming here. The time limit isn't really enough to take advantage of the AYCE.“
“We came on a Monday evening which is a slow night in general so the restaurant was very empty. We ordered the Bulgogi bowl, spicy pork bowl and cheese Bulgogi fries. It was a great value meal because of the amount of food there was in each bowl. The food tasted good but since it was a slow evening for them, I think a lot of their food is made in advance. Elements like the meat and the egg don't come out super hot and fresh tasting. Maybe it would be different if it was a busier night and they were making items to order. The Bulgogi cheese fries were decent but the areas with the cheese got soggy really quickly. Probably wouldn't order that again. I would recommend this place for the great value and comforting food. I just wish some of the key components of the bowls were made to order so it's hot and fresh tasting.“
“I came to the area for Tesla supercharge station . White waiting for the car get changed, walking around found this Korea food place. I had lunch here. Very impressed by the authentic Korean food and very good service. The small dishes are very good, the serving size is decent. I had spicy cold noodles, super good and satisfied, will try other dishes next time. Don’t miss this if you are in Foster City or nearby area. Highly recommended!“
“One of the best hidden gems in the neighborhood. You will definitely missed it if you don’t look for it. This Gangnam Tofu House is located in a small mall at the end of the Thornton Avenue. Owner and staff are super friendly and food is always good. If you can’t take too spicy, ask them to tone it down to your level and enjoy. I have been here many times and will go again.“
“I brought a friend down to Stanford for a procedure and we had planned to go to a different place for dinner, and discovered Seoul Kitchen by accident. I am so happy that we did as the food and service was amazing. You order your plate like how you order a poke bowl, you pick your base, then your protein, and then three sides (banchans). I ordered the toasted rice (base) which is prepared with carrot, potato, zucchini, green onion, and sesame oil (and was absolutely amazing). Then I ordered the Korean Bulgogi Beef (protein), which I received a generous amount, and it was absolutely delicious. The three banchans (sides), that I chose were kimchi, cucumbers, and seaweed salad. They were all flavorful and incredible. My friend ordered the: toasted rice (base), BBQ Chicken (protein), with carrots, potatoes, and mushrooms, and it was incredible as well. I tried their glass noodles which you can get as a base, and it was amazing as well. I wish that I had ordered a side of it. The servings were extremely generous and the lady behind the counter was extremely friendly, helpful, and efficient. The inside was clean and spacious. The parking can be tricky, but that is not the fault of the business just their location. I can't wait to take my friend back to Stanford for her next appointment, so that we can visit this place again.“
“Great spot for Korean inspired meat plates and sandwhiches!Definetly recommend! The spicy chicken isn’t crazy spicy, it’s sweet and spicy just to the right amount. The rice has some beans inside too which makes it extra good!Vegetarian options: YesDietary restrictions: Ask the staff, but not easily visible on menuParking: 10 or so spots.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Very solid Korean cafe!Everything is solid and I was tempted to give this place 5 stars for the Misugaru tea. Top it with Dalgona. Omg amazing. One of the best milk teas around. I’m coming back for that every time. The food is very good. I’d say the fries are every bit better than McD’s fries. They are addictive. The Tanghulu is delicious. They only had Strawberry when we went but I’m sure as seasons change they’ll have others.Give this place a try! Service is great. Kpop on the tele and speakers. It’s fun with great food and drinks.“
“If you’re craving Asian fusion, then you gotta come to @sia_newark for some delicious Korean tacos, burritos, burgers, and fries. The hot + sweet wings and soy garlic wings were crispy and tasty. The stir-fried squid [Ojingeo-bokkeum] had the perfect spiciness, while the Galbijim had ttoekboki in it and it was delicious.Aside from the Galbijim, we love the spicy pig's trotters (aka pig feet), it was so tender and savory with the perfect balance of spicy & sweetness. It was so freaking good with rice. Highly recommended.20% off Happy Hour specials (4-7 pm)?Come check them out!“
“My friends and I have ordered from this place many times on Doordash but never have we been to the restaurant. We usually get one of the combos that consists of Korean fried chicken, kimbap, and fries. The fried chicken was delicious and packed with flavor and crunch! Kimbap was decent and fries are fries. From ordering dishes at Aria, I can say that everything has exceeded expectations!“
“Came for a mid length lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fried chicken. Was quite tasty, and I have already recommended this place to friends. I had the secret sauce half and half and the fries were very tasty. Also came with two dumplings which were a pleasant extra surprise.“
“This was somewhat pricey as meals go, but it being all you can eat makes it much better for people concerned about being full after hot pot without paying a huge amount. I enjoyed mixing my sauces with ingredients like green onion and minced garlic. Picking out a few new things from the case to try without needing to get a set amount and paying for a thing I might not like was a good perk. Soft drinks and dessert, tasty coconut pudding, being included was another great upside. The spicy broth was good. I wasn't that impressed with the chicken coconut broth and I didn't really like the raw chicken that came with it. The other meats were fine, but some of the beef was somewhat chewy.“
“Having lived for a year in Korea while I was in the military, I'm a sucker for Korean Fried Chicken. I have to make a stop here every time I'm in town for business. It's a chain restaurant, but you can't get this kind of food everywhere in the USA. The service isn't outstanding, but it also isn't bad. I always get my food to go, and just eat it in my hotel room.My staples here are Spicy Wings and Soy-Garlic Potstickers. I try other things, but just always go back to these two.If I could change one thing here, it would be to offer Kimchi as a side instead of Pickled Radish or Coleslaw. I love Kimichi, but the Radish is just barely acceptable in my opinion, and I'm not in the mood for Coleslaw with Korean food. They *do* offer Kimchi here, it's just not offered as a side option with the regular menu items I order. Kimchi is just the ubiquitous side item for Korean food, and it surprises me that they don't offer it more freely.“
“This place is really nice. It's not perfect, but it's good for the price; the food is good, and the service is nice. You can get your own banchan (sides) but it's not always the same banchan available (and again, ymmv when it comes to quality depending on your taste). My favorite cuts are the pork belly (we really like the Hawaiian Pork Belly and the Garlic Pork Belly), pork jowl (cheek), and beef bulgolgi (again, the Hawaiian one is great). Also good are the shrimp and the baby octopus, we had both the regular and the spicy for both seafood.“
“came in today for the first time to try their fried chicken. Had the Really Garlic Chicken combo and have to say it was crazy delicious. Service was very friendly and the interior is clean and modern. Will definitely return to try other flavors of their chicken.“
“Tiny spot, not much seating, but the food was very special. I had an original Koja, Korean short rib meat in a crispy rice “bun”. So very tasty, although the meat was a bit tough. My daughter had the ahi tuna salad, she enjoyed it, lots of good things in there. My wife had a wonder pork taco. We shared an order of Korean chicken wings, great flavor but a bit dry. I wish they had a restaurant near where I lived, I would definitely eat here more often! Lots of free parking in the parking garage.“
“It's been renewed and opened. The name has changed. I've never been there before, so I can't compare the taste, but I enjoyed it very much. I ordered bossam, sundae soup, and mixed soup. I ordered everything like this... I cleared everything except a little bit of bossam~!!It's been a while since I had really delicious Korean food.ㆍThe amount of mixed fish soup looks small because I took a picture while eating it, but we shared it with a family of 4.Enough amount~Good good!!“
“I don't know when Soon's opened but I've been living in the Peninsula for 6 years and cannot believe I just discovered this restaurant. For authentic Korean food, you typically have to head down to Sunnyvale or Santa Clara. But obviously for those who live in the Peninsula or above, it is a journey. Soon's finally starts to establish options alongside Daeho in San Mateo. From the outside, Soon's looks confusing. It is supposedly a Korean restaurant in a western plaza selling a whole variety of things. Is it fusion? Is it "Korean" cuisine by inspiration? And there's even some hints of Chinese, Hawaiian and Mexican in the menu. Again, not a good sign. Also, you need to stare at the ceiling when you're inside... it could've been a 3-story building. But let the food speak for itself. The banchan already is diverse and authentic, as well as every single dish that came out. The food is cooked by your "aunt" with decent sprinkling of love and nostalgia. It is Korean comfort food done well across the board. We had a tofu soup, galbi, kimchi fried rice and jjajangmyun... (?) - yes, the things from Chinese restaurants. And yes, all of them turned out great. It definitely is created with your aunt's interpretation but proper. The food tends to be on the sweeter side (so a bit additional sugar) but still within normal ranges.Ah, and the staff is super friendly.I am so glad we discovered Soon's. We'll absolutely be back. And one less reason to go down to Lawrence and El Camino.Parking: Plenty of parking in the plaza.“
“Not a formal setting, this place reminds me of a simple cafe in a suburb of Incheon or Daejon. That being said, the flavors here are all there. Arrived very hungry after lunchtime and we were quickly satiated. Food was delivered fresh and quick by a wonderfully friendly Korean lady. Happily when I asked for extra Gochujang - she brought a whole squeezy bottle full for us to enjoy. Abundant banchan rounded off this very satisfying meal. So much so that we totally didn't want to go back to work afterwards - lol. Come here if you want a quick, simple, no-nonsense Korean feast. Will definitely recommend to all my friends in the Freemont area.“
“Souper souper enjoyed the Tofu soup. We went here because we were supposed to go to another Korean Tofu resto in El Camino but they were closing early so we decided to try this place. And it was a good thing because we felt that this place served even better Tofu soup. We liked that they offer choices on what to put in the soup and just the taste was perfect to eat during a rainy night. Also servers were very accommodating and friendly, bec I got confused and mentioned one order but later realized that I ordered something different than what I wanted but they were gracious when I asked them to change and quickly ran to the kitchen to change my order. Order saved, happy customer.“
“The best sushi in the entire area and county. . Everything here is a very high quality seafood. I REPEAT Everything here is a very high quality seafood. There is no fake in it. The staff make you feel like family and everything is very professional .“
“Wow ive never had korean chicken . It did take a little while to get the to go order about 30 min but so worth it. The chicken has lots of flavor super moist great crunch. I was worried it may be spicy nope its perfect. Cheese balls also great crips outside super soft inside slightly “
“Excellent service from David. We go to Gen often and order the same items every time. We wanted to try something new, and David hooked it up. He recommended the Honey Soy Beef Belly, then wrap it in radish paper. That easily became our favorite. If you get David, ask him for a recommendation, he knows what's good!P.S. David showed us the crazy sauce. Try it out.“
“Taste 5/5 (love the red bean), Health 2/5, Location 5/5 (downtown Palo Alto retail), Interior 4/5 (fine, but no place to sit), Cleanliness 5/5, Overall Value 4/5 (actually prices are quite reasonable for the unique product and good location for a stroll). Please ? this review if helpful, or accurate. ?Thx!“
