“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely love Urban Plates! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu offers a fantastic variety of fresh, seasonal ingredients, and every dish I’ve tried has been bursting with flavor. What really sets Urban Plates apart is their commitment to quality. The salads are vibrant and crisp, the proteins are cooked to perfection, and I can always count on their delicious, house-made sauces to elevate each meal. The option to customize my plate allows me to explore new flavors while sticking to my dietary preferences. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to recommend their favorites. Plus, the commitment to sustainability and using local ingredients makes me feel good about my choices. Whether I’m dining in or grabbing a meal to go, Urban Plates never disappoints. It’s truly one of my favorite spots to enjoy fresh, wholesome food!”
“My husband and I lived in San Jose two years ago and came back to visit. This is an incredible and welcomed find. The beer was both delicious and made with unique ingredients that gave their beers a distinct edge. We didn’t eat while here but the menu had some great choices. We will definitely be back on our next visit.”
“The sides are amazing that is servers while you wait for food. One of my favorite Korean spots to go. We ordered vegetarian Bibimbap, Korean vegetable pancake, vegetarian dumplings ramen and Japchae.

“Thai Soul Kitchen is an apropos name - the family vibe is strong and the vibe shines through the food. Call to make sure they have a table. Bangin’ curries, noodles for days, distilled vegetarian menu - we’ll be back”
“If you're looking for authentic Korean food, stop by Shin's Tofu! The interior is a bit smaller with limited seating so there can be a wait. Parking can also be limited during the busy weekends.
As for food, my go to is the tofu soup. It is comforting to eat when you just want to feed your soul and nourish your body.
Their galbi marinated short rib is also really good. Lots of flavor and good char taste to it. They have a good selection of banchan, which they will easily refill once they notice you're running low.
This is a small business and everyone there have been so nice and friendly. If you're ever craving Korean food, especially tofu soup, definitely stop by here. It's worth it!”

“Good selection of food choices. I've been there for lunch and dinner multiple times and myself and the other people in my party have always enjoyed the food we've gotten in the service.”
“Some of the best, wholesome cooked food I've had in a while. Ordered the popcorn chicken- was blwon away how moist it was. The chicken fried rice & beef pho were some of the best I've had. Having a halal vietnamese place is a blessing! Staff is kind and attentive aswell. Reasonable pricing overall too.”

“The best cookies I’ve had in a while. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth but these are so so good! I love the new variety of flavors every week and how they’re so unique and different than the generic cookies you buy in the grocery store. The price isn’t too bad either! For a box of 6 cookies it’s $22 but the cookies are HUGE. I can never finish one by myself so I leave them to the rest of my family. Also pro tip download the crumble app so you can earn free rewards. 100 points equals to $10 you can use towards the cookies.”

“I always love coming to Zazil! The ambience is top tier and it has a cozy feel to it. I love being surrounded by people who are enjoying conversations and food together without it feeling overwhelming.”
“We usually eat here and it is very good. The meat are fresh and the soup base is tasty unlike others”
“TBH I was hesitant at first to eat at Acopia. As a vegan, most Mexican restaurants do not usually have options for me. Their menu is somewhat minimal and limited, so entered with few expectations or hopes that I could order anything more than a salad. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The owner came to our table and was most accommodating. I ordered a succulent nopales salad, street corn and some delicious blue corn sopes de calabasita (zucchini and flower). It was all quite tasty and I was even more surprised when she brought out some vegan mayo AND vegan cheese to top off my food with more flavor. The atmosphere is very modern and simply styled, mirroring their “chic” food menu. I found the food delicious though a bit on the bland side, but was grateful that they came through for me and my vegan diet. I left sated and happy that I could fully participate in the meal alongside my meat-eating friends. The owner was very thoughtful and really went out of her way to make sure I had plenty of choices to order. Although it was a bit pricey, I will definitely go back again. The modern ambiance, the attentive service and the fancy yet rustic food combined to make a lovely evening meal.”
Outdoor Dining
“Caleb the owner is a former pro boxer hence the name they have the best meatballs and wings and salad salads and of course their main item is Pizza! The Cubano is to die for, and their brisket is unparalleled. We love this amazing restaurant! Oh, and not to mention, fantastic, mock tails, and cocktails And warm, friendly service”
“The caterer for my daughter's wedding canceled a week before the wedding. Latin-Asian-Fusion Kitchen came through with exactly what was needed. The help was sincere and the food was great. Everybody complimented the food and there was plenty. Roddy responded to us promptly and kept in touch throughout the week and event. Great experience!!”
“Food is nothing short of amazing. Large menu and especially good for vegetarians and those who are into healthy options and unwilling to sacrifice taste. Really good kids menu. It's crowded and loud on Friday night, so you'll need a little patience if you go then.”
“I was really excited to visit this shop after watching their YouTube videos. You can clearly see how much passion they have for coffee and how committed they are to supporting the community, which is what made me want to come in.
I stopped by on a Monday to buy a bag of whole beans to brew at home. I asked for a recommendation and mentioned I was planning to do pour-overs. I was also trying to find something that was not fruity and leaned more bold, since I have had light, fruity coffees in the past that were not my preference.
I was recommended a Flower Child coffee, which turned out to be very light and fruit-forward. While it was not the right fit for my personal taste, it was clearly a high-quality coffee and I can see why someone who enjoys floral and fruity profiles would really love it.
I think this shop shines in the quality of their beans and the care they put into sourcing. For customers who are still learning coffee terminology, a bit more guidance or clearer labeling could make the experience even better.
Overall, this is a great spot with knowledgeable people and a strong mission, and I definitely plan on coming back. Now that I know more about how to describe what I like, I am excited to try something else next time.”

“Excellent, authentic, very tasty. Ida the owner and chef very attentive.. nice patio seating.. 5 easy stars”

It had been 30 years. I was 12 when I first played it on my gameboy. There is pokemon related drink menu, so I got Vs Red drink. :) The menu is very cute and awesome. I actually tried almost 35% to 40% of the drink menu ($$$ x.x). No complaints so far.
My cousin ordered pizza. Chicken garlic. Hm, if I think back how it tasted... it was good. Thought I don't agree with the whole uncut garlic. Rather have it diced! As a cook, I ate one whole clove because I was curious, especially in my drunken state. Not sure if the slight numbness in my mouth was a factor after several drinks.
If I can find a date that is also a gamer, this is perfect date!”
“If you're craving Cambodian cuisine, make sure to visit Angkor Chef, a fantastic Cambodian restaurant located in downtown San Jose. Owned by Channy Laux - Chef and her husband, they've been serving up delicious dishes for about 6 months now. Tina and I were thoroughly impressed by their excellent service and mouthwatering food. The restaurant boasts a sleek and modern design, and we particularly loved the beef skewers (សាច់គោចាកាក់). We definitely will come back for more. #supportlocalbusiness #khmerfood”
“The seating is wonderfully spacious with a campy charm that feels fun. The staff are welcoming and attentive. Once you park, someone from the restaurant steps in as an honorary crossing guard, helping you cross safely. The complimentary bread was soft, warm, and clearly fresh from the oven. The marinara sauce in the farfalle mafiusa stood out for its bright and fresh tomato flavor. The pansotti was very tasty. The tomato butter sauce in it was rich yet beautifully balanced. The coconut mousse martini was dessert in a glass, but without the heaviness. The chocolate fondant cake was dense, and unapologetically sweet. Would happily come back again!”
“Been here a few times already. Tonight we tried the beef pho. You have a choice of raw steak, meatballs or both. I tried both. Really good! A lot of noodles so it is a big meal. Next time I'm going for raw steak, not that the meatballs were no good, just a matter of taste. Definitely will be back! Vietnamese iced coffee for dessert and that was heaven!”
“We really enjoyed our first trip to this charming small eatery in downtown San Jose. Tucked away on Post north of First St., without obvious signage, The Club can be hard to find, but is worth the search. The craft cocktails were creative, interesting, and delicious. The Kale salad was a large serving, with a tasty house made dressing and a variety of fresh ingredients. The Short Ribs are were tender moist and delicious, served over a small serving of parsnip purée. My seafood pasta was deliciously sauced with generous portions of shrimp and salmon, though a little more pasta would have been nice. Crème Brûlée was delicious. Prices are moderate, appropriate for quality. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful,. Decor is minimalist but tasteful. Overall very enjoyable, a good time was has by all!”

This spot has become our favorite destination for a relaxing wine night, whether it's a casual evening with friends or a date night. The cozy atmosphere is consistently a hit with everyone we introduce to the place.
What really sets it apart are the owners, Nici and Ty. They are incredibly friendly and offer great recommendations. It was a pleasant surprise that they recognized us months after our first visit and even remembered my girlfriend's preferred wine! We also love their flexible flight concept, which allows you to sample any of the wines available for a single set price.
It's also an excellent choice if you're looking for a laid-back wine bar before heading over to a Sharks game!”
“Pleasantly impressed by Uyghur Cuisine. Tried skewered lamb, mutton, home made noodle, soup & yogurt dessert. All Good & will certainly revisit”
24 Hour Restaurants
“I haven't been to this Denny's in a long time, I was worried that we weren't going to have a good experience, But I was surprised at the excellent customer service, I spoke with the manager Blanca and expressed that they had exceeded my expectations. and she was very kind and took the time to come to our table thanked us for coming.”
“The best thing about this place is that they’re open 24 hours! I would definitely recommend it, especially when everything else is closed. The pricing is reasonable, and the service was excellent. Pamela helped our table and was great from the start. She was very patient with us and offered helpful recommendations. She checked on us frequently and went the extra mile to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. She truly deserves a raise for providing such exceptional service.
The food was delicious and came out fairly quickly. The parking lot, however, is a bit tricky. The entrance is narrow and easy to miss, and you may end up passing it and seeing an exit that you unfortunately cannot enter.
One concern I noticed was that the ice cream tub and whipped cream were completely exposed. Customers walk by with easy access, and there were no lids or coverings. This is extremely unhygienic, as someone could cough, sneeze, or touch it, not to mention flies, which do not appear to be prevented from making direct contact.
The ambiance is okay, nothing particularly special, but they did a great job decorating for Christmas.
Service - 5/5
Price - 4/5
Ambiance - 3/5
Taste - 4/5”
“Excellent take out place. Reasonable prices for the portions.
We ordered through food delivery service and the food came piping hot and nicely packed.
We ordered penne a la vodka with sausage, meat lasagna, caprese salad, and Ceasar salad. Everything was well cooked and tasted delicious. The portions are a good size for the price. The 4 dishes came out to just over $100 with tax, fees, & tip.
Would absolutely order from here again.”
“Very good quality of foods and very friendly personel. I'm often ordering foods from there. One of my favorite take-out kitchens! Recommended
Parking: There is many food delivery restorants and half of parking lots during day were busy by doordashers, but, still many free spots to park.”
“I love this Dennys !! I was so sad to hear that Juan no longer works here !! Hes been our waiter forever !! But on a good note, his replacement is Awesome ! Forgot how to say her name . She has many tattoos and is always smiling !! Excellent service !! Fast , but not pushy. Very attentive to our needs and we were very happy. We will definitely be going back on a regular. !!”
“Great because it’s open late until 2 AM.
Good taste on all items. I personally liked the zinger sandwich but unfortunately it was not available at this location.
The sad thing was it’s only online order pickup restaurant (this location). I was trying to make a pickup order online but past 01:30 AM the orders cannot be made. It take to the next day pickup times.
Luckily a person working there offered me complimentary food which made my day as I was a lot hungry (after coming back from a long road trip including swimming and traveling). This was the only halal place I found open late.”
“Good ambience, great food. Loved the family vibe. Feels like eating in a cozy eatery in Osaka.”

Takeout Restaurants
“Half-pound (and up) fresh ground chuck burgers perfectly cooked. Plenty of menu options like turkey, bison, ostrich & more. The fries are excellent, and you load up your burger with all the fixins. Simply the best burger in the South Bay - even better that what Kirks USED to be.”

Drive-Thru Restaurants
“11.19.25 2:30pm Our absolute fave pho and bun restaurant, they don't serve anything else, now open 7 days a week. This restaurant has been here for 40 years! It's a no frills, cafeteria style, single family owned business with the kindest people staffed here. One of my doctors recommended this place.
The pho broth is actually real, simmered bone broth instead of powdered soup base like 99% of other pho restaurants. We tested the broth, took it home, and it gelled completely in the fridge. Pho and bun are super fresh, with abundant amount of meat and fresh vegetables. My parents rate this restaurant's pho as the best tasting they ever ate, and they LOVE pho! We couldn't detect any msg flavor in the food.
We overheard another Caucasian male patron, who was there for a pick up order, talking with the owner gentleman and he said he had been a loyal patron of this restaurant since 1997 and he drives down all the way from Castro Valley just to get the to-go pho from here. That has to be an hour's drive one way without heavy traffic.
Currently there are at least 6 story apt buildings being built right next to and behind the restaurant. Parking lot is not plentiful but if dining at odd hours it won't be as busy.
Thank you!”
“I love this small family owned Vietnamese restaurant that is run by a couple. It's my weekly run for pho during the work day. They also have other food and drink options on the menu which I tried and everything is delicious. They are quick, personable, friendly, and the food and drinks are great value. Lots of parking. I also love their fruit tea drinks.”
“So the first time I went in Nov, found out that they only serve it with 1 egg instead of 2 that’s advertised. Still a lot of food for $20. Mine was really oily compared with my hubby’s, so I wasn’t able to clean my plate off with the bread. Came Dec on a Fri at 1p am they were closed! So bummed!! Craving for it all weekend so came back on Monday and had to wait a while bc they ran out of bread and had to go out to get more. Then found out afterwards that they substituted my xu mai for a piece of spam!! Oh well. Still yummy. Gave them one less star for the inconsistency. You order at the counter and they give you buzzer to come back in 10-15 mins to pick up. Not much of a customer service, 1 lady and 1 man working, since they are so busy cooking it fresh to order hot and sizzling for the cold food court, lol. It’s a great $20 meal that comes with hot tea and salad too!”
“GREAT garoto coffee...the espresso with foamy milk.. so smooth, not bitter nor too strong. The portuguese cheese and prosciutto sandwich was good but next time will not get it toasted as the cold cheese itself is wonderful! the Pasteis di nata are the best littleegg tarts as I found them to be a bit dry, but then again get another coffee! Owner was so friendly and the place adequate for being an older establishmen.”
“A modest little spot that punches well above its weight. The Fish Amok, Cambodia’s beloved steamed fish curry cooked in coconut milk and aromatic spices — is light, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. You can tell it’s made with care and pride. The atmosphere is casual and the service friendly.”
“Just walked in randomly from one of my walks. This space is really tiny, but cozy. When I walked, then it was really empty, and I was only customer. I wasn’t feeling like coffee, so I got the drink with mango and Boba and coconut milk. It was thick and tasty and very rich. I also got the banana bread to go with it and it was an okay banana bread. Nothing special. I wouldn’t probably come here to have a cafe experience, but rather to just get coffee on the go.”
“The Tomato Egg Mixed Rice is always the best. This is the must order for our family(Sometimes we order 2 since my son and daughter would fight for this.. also recommend the Coconut egg custard buns and dumplings.”
Fine Dining
“We chose Natasha’s treats for our wedding cake on December 2025 and we couldn’t be happier. Her customer service was top notch, she answered all our questions, and brought our dream cake to life. But besides her wonderful work her cake was delicious, we chose the tropical treat and it was delicious, it was the best part of our day.”
“* A note on ratings, I grade out from three stars *This lounge is very good. They change the food menu between periods and the staff are very professional.During intermission, the lounge feels like a busy equivalent of an airport lounge (in a good way).We enjoyed the roast duck breast and the coffee-rubbed beef tenderloin. The custom cocktails were also appreciated.”
“My first time, 1-24-26, was exciting. We were there for a birthday dinner and the food exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious and it was the first time I tried brussel sprouts and I loved it. Our waitress was great, and the atmosphere made me want to come back one day. I had the pan roasted chicken with a side of mashed potatoes. YUMMMM.”
“My favorite place to get Pho in the area :) Very cute and cozy family-owned business. The owners' young daughters work there and seem to be very well-mannered and professional. Won't be visiting any other place for Pho by my house since I found Bon Mua Restaurant!”
“The filet mignon was very tender, and the lobster tail was marinated quite a unique flavor. The prawn cocktail and lobster bisque were also very delicious. The server who served our table was pretty and welcoming, and the food was served quickly. It's perfect for a family dinner or a date.”
“asiste a un evento donde esperaba ver 3 grupos el unico que llego fue Ensamble y solo toco 4 canciones si acaso. casi al fin del evento anunciaron que llegarian los otro 2 grupos aparte de cobran 20 la silla pesimo evento espero que ticketon si regrese el dinero como anunciaron”
“At poke places, it is so important for the food to be fresh. You don't have to worry about this here. The staff is willing to help you arrange your bowl if you want any suggestions about pairings. Highly recommend!”

“Beautiful little shop. Lots of great history and even better sandwiches! Cash only but they have atm on sight. Enjoy your sandwhich inside and enjoy the art and decor or relax outside on the patio. Fresh sourdough all day long. It does not get better. Highly recommend.”
“Stevie's Bar & Grill in San Jose isn't just a bar, it's a sanctuary for the soul and a paradise for beer enthusiasts. Each time I return to San Jose, Stevie's is my go-to spot, a reliable haven where the beer flows as freely as the good times. With a draft beer selection that's second to none, Stevie's is like a grand library of brews, each one a story waiting to be savored. The attentive staff elevates the experience, making sure your glass is never empty and your spirits are always high. The vibe here is electric yet welcoming, a perfect backdrop for the delectable snackable treats they serve. And if you're in a crunch for time, the adjacent laundromat turns a chore into a chance for relaxation – sip and savor while you spin and rinse! Stevie's is more than a bar; it's a clever twist on the traditional, a gem that makes San Jose shine a little brighter.”
“Te quiero, Señor Camarón! Best shrimp tacos of my life. I got both the fried fish taco and (of course) the shrimp tacos. They were both filled to the brim with meat and the salsas were delicious. I also got a Michelada and it was huge! I unfortunately ate my food too fast so I did not get a picture but I will be back! Next time, I will try the ceviche. Muchas gracias!”

“I felt bad because we came in 30 minutes before closing but they were still so welcoming and i didn’t feel rushed at all. The food was really worth the price, nice spread and super fun date spot :)). I will be coming back!”
“I've been here umpteen times, and I've never had a bad cocktail. Each is made with care. My friend asked for a cocktail not on the menu. Not only did they know how to craft it, but it was also delicious.”
“This is a restaurant with a very stylish decoration. The classical decoration makes people feel like they are back in the past era when dining. I think everyone can experience it. At the same time, the food in the restaurant is still very delicious.”
“It was very delicious Korean BBQ Short Ribs I had such a great experience today. Business owner was very friendly, and I will come back and am looking forward to trying out other menus.”
“The food was the bomb! The mac and cheese was off the hook delicious. I couldn’t stop eating it! My hot link was cooked perfectly. My wife had the fried fish with the yams and fries, and loved it. In fact, my son, who had the maple pecan waffles and chicken, finished off my wife’s fish, along with the cornbread muffin and fries. The food was so delicious that my wife came back to the downtown location the next night with her friends before they went to see “ And Juliet” at Broadway San Jose! We definitely will be back to the downtown location before our next Broadway SJ show, and plan to go to the other location on Monday!”
“This bar is pure vibe. I was visiting San Jose from Boston with my wife, who works in the natural wine world, and we brought six friends with high expectations. This place exceeded all of them.
First, the wine program is outstanding. Thoughtful, diverse, and clearly curated with real care for the natural wine spectrum. Every bottle we tried was excellent. Prices were shockingly fair for the quality. Even with the $15 corkage, which we do not really see in Boston, the value was hard to beat.
The food was just as impressive. We had the arancini, a tantanmen-style butter pasta, chips and dip, and the pork belly. Every dish was crave-worthy. Serious cooking happening here, and we cannot wait to come back and dig deeper into the menu.
The space itself was cozy and transportive, somehow pulling you out of the downtown setting entirely. We started on the patio, where the hostess effortlessly set us up with a table, linens, glassware, a bench, and a space heater so we could settle in and catch up. A DJ was spinning an immaculate set that my wife perfectly described as “Bay Area classics.” Inside, the layout was warm and inviting, with a front-window den of couches, a communal table, and enough seating to comfortably fit our whole group. By then, the wine was flowing and the energy was just right.
And finally, the service. Ming behind the bar and our hostess were absolute standouts. Warm, attentive, and genuinely engaged, even while handling a full bar. From accommodating a walk-in group of eight to keeping glasses filled, plates flowing, and the overall vibe dialed in, they made the night feel effortless.
10/10. We will absolutely be back, and I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a truly great natural wine bar experience.”
“Delicious sushi rolls and Japanese cuisine. Not sure if its authentic but it's tasty. Friendly staff. Decent portion. Average to high price. Limited seating, average 10-20mins wait or more, depends on busy hours/not. Located inside the mall.”
“Amazing food. Amazing place. Amazing people.
Really loved everything we had - highlight is Salmon Benedict.
But the servers were sweetest I have seen in the states. We will definitely come back sooner. Lucky to have this place finally in our area. ❤️”
“Kinda loud.. had to use ANR earbuds to hear. Food was great and ok priced. Service was very good. Had a 20 min wait on a Thursday evening. Menu was pretty good but could use some work explaining/detailing some of the entrees.”
“This is a special place, especially in this area. A refreshingly low-key, quasi-quirky, but mostly down-to-earth, welcoming vibe. People were so friendly with my young kids and also seemed to know many returning diners. My and my kids’ pasta dishes were absolutely delicious. One gave it a hearty two thumbs-up and I inhaled my entire warm, flavorful bowl of spaghetti. We will be back as soon as we can!”
“We saw the ad on fb and browsed through photos on Google maps. We decided to dine there yesterday and the service is very nice, fast turnaround and prices are very reasonable. It’s a gem.”
“recomendado a 100% la comida EXQUISITA y la atención magnifica !! mi favorita Jahaira única cordial y muy profesional felicitaciones INKAS PERUVIAN RESTAURANT me encanta el nombre y todo 💕”
“Glad to find an authentic Szechuan/Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. It's not a fancy restaurant but the food is delicious. We ordered fish filet with golden soup, mapo tofu with pork intestine, sizzling squid, and sesame balls. All are good except the sizzling squid was not sizzling in hot plate and the squid looks very different from the photo on the menu. The owner told us that the menu was misprinted with picture of squid legs (they serve the body part). Maybe they should cross out that picture so there won't be disappointment due to wrong expectation. Other than that, the restroom is clean but needs some update. All in all, we enjoyed the food and will definitely come back again.”
“First time visiting this cafe. I was very happy with my choice! Had Bill's Original Skillet abd French Toast. Both were perfect! And the service was great too! Quick and helpful.
Definitely have to come back!”
“Highly recommend, they will treat you right. Feels like Family.”
“Incredible Sinaloan food, which is not easy to find in the US. Great banda music and bar, incredible fresh seafood and Sinaloan specialties - feel like I’m in Culichi town!”
“Amazing little Vietnamese restaurant that stands out among the sea of Vietnamese cuisine here in San Jose. We had the Conch Salad, grilled razor clams with scallions, tamarind shrimp, and butter blood clams.
All of the dishes were incredible and very fresh, with generous serving sizes and quick delivery. My favorite was the tamarind shrimp but all tasted great. The conch salad was super refreshing on such a warm sunny day, and the shrimp in tamarind sauce were just perfectly tangy and tender.
When I’m home in San Jose, I want good authentic Vietnamese food that you can’t get anywhere else beyond the Bay Area and Vietnam, I don’t want to waste my time with gentrified and overly Americanized food.
Oc Lau Nuong is definitely and firmly going to sit on my food priority list for when I’m visiting home for great seafood at really great prices.”
“Shabu Time is a fantastic choice for hot pot lovers! The ingredients are always fresh, and there’s an impressive variety of meats, vegetables, and broths so you can build your meal exactly the way you like it. Everything tastes great, and the customization makes it fun.
Pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, so it always feels like a good value.
What really sets this place apart is the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to help, which makes the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The space is cozy, so weekends can get busy, but it’s worth the wait. If you’re looking for a welcoming spot with fresh food and excellent service, Shabu Time is a must-try!”
“The entire experience at The Creek Eatery was phenomenal. We held a wedding rehearsal dinner for 65 people and although the seating was unconventional for the event, our party absolutely loved the setting. It was such a fun atmosphere! The food, hospitality, and service were perfect. They were quick to respond with communication throughout the planning process and the day of. I highly recommend this restaurant for a regular meal or special event! Top notch kitchen, servers and bar staff.”
“I forgot to add to my previou comments that their tortillas are home-made, authentic, and delicious.”
“The food here is very good but even better is the service. The staff was very genuine, attentive and quick. Maybe the best service I've had in my life. I'm not in the area often but would definitely go again”
“workers were the nicest people i’ve ever met, and the food was probably the best i’ve had from America. only thing id fix is their location; i wish i lived closer to this restaurant

“100% recommend, comfort food and great service. Best cannolo I’ve had in San Jose ! The garlic knots are okay, their dough is really nice though. But the chicken with penne was delicious! My fiancé had the veal and he really liked it!”

“Good experience Very good waiter/waitresses. Very good music Very good grupos Food was delicious Drinks were so refreshing I will go back all the time and recommend anyone who haven’t been there to go”
“We just ordered dinner from Blue Mango tonight. What a treat! We had the pineapple fried rice, pad thai, mango curry, bamboo, and my favorite mango salad. Pick up was super easy--they had set up tables with lots of space in between orders and room for social distancing. And you should have seen the size of the bottle of hand sanitizer available for anyone to use! Let's support our local businesses and keep Blue Mango going!”
“I didn't know about this place until I did a deep dive on Reddit. This little hole in the wall is probably one of the best Mexican restaurants that I have ever been to. Being open since 1986, they know their way around a birria. I ordered a birria chivo burrito and I had to take breaks between bites to appreciate the flavor. I even thought about the food on the drive home. Even as I'm writing this, I crave another burrito. I ordered a carne asada burrito to take home, and even that was superb.”
“Today i came with my friend to Mariscos cista alegre and our server was Mercedes a wonderful lady with such a great personality, fast services and a amazing personality, thank you sooo much for your service Mercedes you made our time super special and everything thanks to your service and obviously for the great food!!! Definitely I need to comeback more often.”
“We decided spontaneously after a visit to the Lick observatory to dine here. All the staff were super professional, friendly and quick. What I really enjoyed was that our waiter made an extra effort to help my parents (their English is a bit basic). The food was on the table in no time and was delicious and hot. I tried the pasta with steak and gorgonzola and didn’t regret it!”
“Great service, food was awesome!! Thank you Jasmine, (our waitress) was Friendly, and helpful.”
“Food was excellent! Flat iron steak was done med rare as ordered. Chicken with cranberry sauce and brussels sprouts was perfect. The delicious apple/caramel bread pudding definitely enough to share. The atmosphere is an older converted garage but it is well worth going for the food!
Close to TechCU arena, we will be back. Go Barracuda!”
“Sitio maravilloso, comida, ambiente, atención. Primera visita a San José y un sitio al que sin duda trataré de volver. Muy recomendable para disfrutar de su comida, su musica, arte y café. “From the moment we stepped into La Catalana, we were transported to an authentic Spanish-Catalan experience. The atmosphere exudes warmth, passion, and attention to detail, making it the perfect place for a memorable evening. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish crafted with care and rich in flavor. The tapas were exquisite, and the hand-selected Spanish-Catalan wines perfectly complemented our meal. Rodrigo, our server, went above and beyond, providing exceptional recommendations and ensuring we had an incredible dining experience. His attentiveness and knowledge truly elevated our visit. A special highlight was meeting Monserrat, the owner, whose kindness and hospitality made us feel at home. Her love for the community and dedication to creating a welcoming space is evident in every aspect of La Catalana. We visited to celebrate friendship and an award received by one of our friends, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. As community leaders, we wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem to everyone. La Catalana is more than a restaurant—it’s an experience filled with passion, culture, tradition, and heart. We have found a new favorite spot, and more importantly, a new friend in Monserrat and her team.”
“Alexis and Jesi are amazing, the oysters are an out of body experience, and I can always count on Lamella’s Lounge to raise my spirits. As long as they exist, I’ll keep coming back! ❤️”
“This place has soul for days... the music that comes out of this place is exceptional, true to the New Orleans style and approachability. I almost want to keep this gem to myself, but music is free and should he shared. A nod to the kitchen for their solid command of New Orleans cuisine, a fav for me is the catfish po' boy. Tuesday night open mic night? I'm there. Can't say enough about this beautiful place. I am grateful for always feeling completely welcome.”
“Excelente atención, personal muy amable, mucha variedad de platillos típicos. y el sabor exquisito. me encantó. super recomendado 👌”

“What a pleasant dining experience. Was greeted at the door by the owner, staff were very attentive and the foods amazing!”
“The service at the bar was great, as was my old fashioned. My food was alright, nothing to rave about. But the inside of this place is very chill and cozy. I’d come back just because of the ambience.”
“Great place to book for private party, clean and friendly environment”
“Cha Cha Sushi in San Jose is a fun and reliable spot for fresh, tasty sushi with a laid-back vibe. The rolls are creative and flavorful, and the fish tastes fresh and well prepared. Portions are generous and the all-you-can-eat option is a great value if you want to try a variety of dishes. Service is usually quick and friendly, and the casual atmosphere makes it an easy place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family. Overall, a solid go-to for satisfying sushi in San Jose. 🍣”
“I have never eaten Ethiopian food before nor have I ever been interested in eating it. Stumbled upon this restaurant when out looking for food that was not Mexican, (nothing wrong with Mexican food. I love Mexican food but just wanted something else). I had no idea what to expect. So glad we stumbled across it. It was so good. If we were here for more than one night, I would definitely return. The staff were awesome. So friendly and welcoming. The food was so good and opened my eyes, (and stomach), to a new cuisine. The price was very reasonable. Do not let the empty restaurant put you off. Definitely worth a visit.”
“There are those rare instances that You feel Thankful about The Dining & The Experience of Dining. B3-Boyz Dhaba takes the prize for that, imho. If you crave Authenticity in Tamil Nadu & Kerala cuisine then You are in that Zone here at this Restaurant. My wife & I came here for lunch on the Happy Occasion of PONGAL. We were warmly greeted by the Hostess Owner & the food was Splendid. The Chef: A Keralite was formerly with Taj Coramandel, Chennai for years & the flavor of the food we savored put that Stamp of Authenticity to the Meal Experience!”
“An Authentic Chettinadu South Indian Restaurant in South San Jose with a good ambience, courtesy & no doubt authentic flavorful cuisine was to my wife & my heart’s delight, today evening, visiting SaaPaaDuu”
“Pésimo servicio de la cajera, hablándonos en tono burlón y riéndose y preguntándonos rápido que si vamos a querer la comida si o no.”
“This place is amazing!! A true hidden gem. The food was delicious, the menu was smaller, so you know the food was fresh, and Jessica, our server, was absolutely the best server. She was so kind and attentive and took the time to learn our names. It was a great experience all around, the 4 of us had amazing food for under $80”

“My and my buds were looking for places to eat, I've passed by this place a few times and always interested in stopping by! We looked through the negative reviews to see if we wanted to try it. Funnily enough, yelp had the funniest negative review and the response from the owner was the cherry on top! We just had to go! Everything was perfect! We came in an hour before closing (sorry!), yet still did not feel any pressure to leave, The food and price were both excellent! It was a great time and we will likely be here again!”

“The first time I walked in, absolutely stunning. The decor, the food, all amazing. Their pandan waffles were thick and delicious (thank goodness for the buy three get one free deal), the boba was absolutely delicious, and the place gave a homey and calm atmosphere with wooden accents. 10/10, would go again :)”
“I hired Tacos La Choca for an event for my company for over 250 people. They did an awesome job. Very professional, on time. Had more than enough food and drinks. Were very friendly, and helpful. They made this event so easy. Marcela the owner brought enough staff to assist with the event in a timely manner. We are definitely using Tacos La Choca again for our events.”

“The food is very good! Pasta was delicious and fresh. We ordered a few appetizers and they brought the main dishes right after the appetizers so we asked them to warm it up it up but instead they brought a new plate. Excellent service! I will suggest to be clear to the team to bring your main dish AFTER you are done with the appetizers! :) I love the food here. This is our 3rd/4th time! Highly recommended.”
YUMMMM.”
“One of the best places to have a big party. The banquet rooms are spacious; you can seat up to 160 guests. I’ve hosted 2 events here already - my parents’ 50th anniversary in 2014 and my 50th birthday this year. Easy process to reserve the space & select menu. Great customer service from all staff.”

The Cioppino was fabulous!!! The garlic bread that came with it was delicious. I had a green salad to start and it too was excellent. Great glass of Zinfandel. And the flourless almond cake with pineapple and vanilla gelato also delicious. They focus on fresh, quality ingredients. Well done!”

“I walked to a spot for a quick little treat,
And found me a place that was simple and neat.
The parking was perfect, no chaos, no mess,
The vibe was laid-back — I could not have guessed.
I ordered a burger, just two ninety-nine,
It came out all steamy, and wow — it was fine!
The fries were four ninety-nine, crispy and hot,
With onions and sauce — they delivered a lot!
The burger was simple, no truffle, no fluff,
But juicy and cheesy and savory stuff.
The fries had a crunch and the sauce had a zing,
Together they made my taste buds want to sing!
The tables were wooden, all benchy and bare,
A little bit dusty — some crumbs here and there.
But hey, I’m not picky, and truth be well told,
That’s not why I’m here — I’m not five years old.
The bathrooms were tidy, the service was fast,
This meal hit the spot — it was built to last.
For seven bucks total, I give it a cheer,
The best deal in town, and I’ll sure reappear!”
“Great place for fusion Mexican Mediterranean cuisine. They have happy hour with some interesting combinations and beer and sangria pitchers. Check out the food pictures. The serving staff are not so efficient but the place is quieter than Aquis with good distance between tables. The servers don't state that but extra humus is $3”
“The Big Crispy Tacos (with Lengua) is one of my favorite things here! Soooo scrumptious. Flavorful and tender beef tongue, but super crunchy texture of the tortilla! A classic San Jose meal.
This is a great location for large groups since there is so much seating. Service is a little slow, but our food came out quick and accurate (and piping hot!!)”
