“This is the second time we’ve been here and been absolutely obsessed with the food and drinks. Everything is amazing. We live 2 blocks away and our only complaint is that we havent discovered this restaurant until recently. I will definitely bring all my visitors “
“A DAMN good experience at this restaurant. From the moment you walk in you know it's going to be amazing! Service was amazing. I felt like we had 3-4 servers at all times. They knew what I needed before I knew what I needed lol. I would have given them 5 stars but I had to subtract a star because one of their cocktail straws had mold or a tissue stuck in it? Brought it to the severs attention and they immediately apologized and brought me a new drink. They even comped the drink which I appreciated. Ambience was intimate but lots of lighting which was nice. Food was delicious and well crafted. Definitely will be back, hopefully the cocktail don't disappoint next time .“
“5 stars. The tacos and burritos are delicious, but my favorite is the quesadilla. Carne asada is my go-to filling, and I usually get whatever I'm ordering 'dorado style' where they crisp up the tortilla. Sometimes I go 'super' with the sour cream and guac, but it's not necessary. Always get my food spicy in addition to having them add grilled serrano peppers. Staff is hard-working; they run a tight ship. Gotta get their early or be prepared to wait in line.“
“I’ve been here twice now and only eaten the tasting menu, an option Copas and chef Julio do on thurs/fri. Incredible experience both times, getting different, creative dishes like a Dungeness crab taco and a brisket mole. The price point of the menu and the bev pairing, done by Erica, are fantastic. For the quality-to-deal ratio, this is prob the best in the city. I’ve been to californios, a two star spot and many of the dishes here at Copas would fit seamlessly in there if not outshine them. Chef and Erica are wonderful to chat to and have a o-so obvious talent and love for their crafts. There’s zero doubt I will return for a third time“
“Came to try a famed Mission burrito, stayed for the chicken tacos! We visited on a Sunday around 3pm and there was a line out the door! The line moves very quickly though so don't let it deter you. An important thing to note is that El Farolito is CASH ONLY. We ordered the Chicken Super Burrito, a Steak Crispy Taco and a Chicken Taco. The Burrito was large and filling! I would not recommend the Steak Crispy Taco because the hard shell was cold and reminiscent of a store bought shell. The Chicken Tacos on the other hand were AMAZING! We ended up ordering two more before leaving. They give you a ticket with a number and the servers will bring the food to your table so keep an ear out for when your number is called. Drinks need to be opened at the cash register with a bottle opener. Happy eating!“
“Got take out from here the other day. We ordered the huarrches and enchilades rojas. We like the huarrches because you don't see it on a lot of menu's. I liked how it had beans inside the masa and it came with a generous portion of carnitas. The enchilades were delicious too. Both were slightly pricy, but good food overall. Look forward to eating here in person soon.“
“I dropped in for a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon. I was in the mood for some mole. I have a dairy allergy but the staff was happy to serve the mole enchiladas without the cheese or crema. The dish was fantastic. You can taste both the sweetness of the chocolate and the spice of the peppers. And the rice on the side was perfectly executed, not sticky or clumpy like most places. I also ordered a glass of Sangria, which was ok. Next time, I would order a Mexican beer. This is serious Mexican comfort food.Dietary restrictions: They happily prepared their famous chicken mole enchiladas without dairy.“
“Loved their Al pastor cauliflower tacos! They're delicious! Haven't seen this vegetarian option on menus. We also got the mushroom cheese dish to share. They give about 6 fresh tortillas with it. Great for sharing between 2-4 ppl. Great service. The decor and the vibe of the place totally goes with the menu. Came here for a friend's birthday. We were group of 10 ppl or so!“
“Absolutely a hidden gem! I got a chileajo tamale and a Oaxacan hot chocolate. The tamale came with a sauce that was smoky, a little spicy, and the perfect compliment to the tamale. And it was only $6! Hot chocolate was also delicious and made by hand at our table. So happy to have found this place and would recommend to anyone visiting the Mission.“
“1st at all.. I wanted to try this restaurant many times but always I had something to do.. so I've booked here @Yelp for Tuesday.. but it's closed. Actually Monday and Tuesday's are closed. I've finally tried their Quesabirrias... AMAZING!. They taste delicious. I've also order Jamaica water and is perfect. The place is NEAT, good relaxed ambiance with very low noise levels, which for me it's a must. Also, the waitress is super sweet. I'll be back for more food bc I had a late breakfast so my stomach got full with 2 (of 3) Quesabirrias and I'm saving space for the flan!. Flan: it was all my kind because it's in the side of more consistent thick desert. Really tasty I dessert“
“What to say!? This spot has got it all. Indoor eating with beautiful art on the wall, delicious food and an extensive wine menu to try. I ordered and lives their large pozole (pictured) which is a red pork or chicken stew with a rich broth. They also serve delicious horchata. I'm definitely returning!July '22 update: ordered the plantain pastor burrito ($12) and it was delicious. Confirmed as well that the pozole is amazingly rich with flavors of oregano, red onion, hominy and lime“
“This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. I honestly don't even like Breakfast Burritos at most places, but the one here is easily the best one I have ever had. In my life. Perfectly constructed with the right amount of greasy chorizo goodness(but not too greasy), perfectly scrambled eggs, creamy cheese and avacado, and crispy tater tots. Plus a nice hot mayo to go with it, there is not a single thing I would change about it. It's probably the best thing I've eaten in 2024 so far.Their birria pizza is also amazing, some of the best Birria I've had in Northern California, and everything on the menu in general is delicious. The owner is super nice and it's a cute little spot in the city. I can't reccomend it enough honestly, a must visit.“
“Well, I discovered this small place in the heart of San Rafael and pffff I fell in love with the cuisine that led me to remember my mother's food in my beautiful Mexico. I'm sure I'll come back to try more of the menu but today I tried some carnitas and asada picaditas and their super tasty horchata water, I fell in love with this little place“
“A fantastic Yucatan style restaurant and Tequila bar ! I've been coming here for 30 years. All the way back to Tommy serving us with his lovely wife and kids Candy/Julio - Julio and his generous pours of Tequila ! Looking forward to getting up there this summer and spending the afternoon there.“
“As soon as my husband and I walked in, the owner welcomed us with a warm smile. We both tried the cheeseburger, the fries, the chicken nuggets, and jalapeño poppers. The food was delicious and the service is excellent. We will definitely be back the next time we visit.“
“Tasty mexican food in North Beach. It was pretty early - like 5:30 pm - and the place was empty, so the orders delivery was fast. We had a burrito (big!) and some tacos with carne asada (portion of three), a cheese enchilada and tacos with guacamole. Everything was really tasty, maybe a little hard to digest (more than other mexican experiences) but I have to say I was really hungry and I ate fast. This food plus two margaritas was like 72$ without tip and I think it’s pretty expensive (it was the most expensive dinner in a almost two weeks trip in and around San Francisco so I think it’s something worth to say). Not so happy with that.Other things: the neighborhood is pretty great, the location is just okay (it doesn’t recall authenticity but it looks more like a franchise fast food); service is a bit cold but kind so nothing to whine about (it’s just an observation). So yeah if you’re hungry, price it’s not a problem and you aren’t looking for a “traditional” kind of thing, this is the place!“
“I loved the colorful and inviting aesthetic of this location. The gluten-free menu was also delicious! My husband and I had the plátano huarache with carnitas which was perfection! Loved the plátano substitute as the huarache base and the sweet tanginess of the pickled purple onions on top. The mole was also great although more of a spicy kick with a sweet chocolate finish. I thought it was interesting that the salad didn't have a dressing. I would have liked a house variation. The peachy mezcal cocktail has a great name and very smoky flavor - not much peach though. The service was fantastic! We felt very cared for especially given that there were two events happening the same night that we arrived. They fizzled out soon after 6:00 PM and it was nice to have some quiet during our meal before the next dinner rush arrived. There were colorful flower petals on everything and it made me so happy! Make sure to ask about how to get your parking validated at the restaurant. We parked at the Levi's parking lot during the meal, then went to Exploratorium after dark and the parking was free! Would definitely return!“
“Yeah this place deserves all the hype. We were in the area and we were starving after walking around Golden Gate Park and this place hit the absolute spot Pretty casual and small but there is good outdoor seating! It's fast casual as well so we placed our order at the counter. We got the full quesabirria taco meal for me and my friend to split and god this was heavenly These were by far some of the best birria tacos I have ever had. They are tender and delicious and the consume was amazing. I would eat these every day Worth the hype and give it a try“
“Where has this place been? Nobody (well, most places) knows the struggle of wanting both sweet and savory like they do! If you feel the same, you have to stop by and order the CDMX which has chilaquiles with your choice of meat, a concha french toast with strawberries, and eggs with potatoes- all in one plate. The portion is pretty big and can probably feed two people or one very hungry person. The inside has a homey vibe and is also very clean. Service was super friendly and welcoming.“
“The best tacos I have ever had! Their Super Taco is out of this world! I love the veggie options. It wasn't crowded. It was clean and everyone was friendly! I am so glad it was recommended to me. I will definitely be coming again whenever I am in the City.“
“Wanted to come to Otra for a while and I was impressed. As a San Franciscan, I get a lil too excited when I see a cocktail under 15 bucks because it’s so rare so..we went with the marg pitcher. Great house margarita.Host was super friendly, service was really quick but my goodness that charred cabbage is one of the best dishes I’ve had in a very long time! My friends were really impressed with the frijolitos too. We went with vegetarian tacos which were too small and too salty so next time I go back I’ll be ordering the carnitas and carne asada. I’d come back for the cabbage alone! Thank you Otra team!! Really fun dinner.“
“Very cool ambiance! The cocktails were well crafted and the food was really flavorful! Only a few cons- the music was a bit loud so sometimes it felt like shouting to have a conversation and it was a bit surprising to only get one taco per serving for the price - but it was a very good taco (the saffron chicken).“
“Great food, great staff and vegetarian options. Just ask and they can accommodate. The hangover breakfast burrito is one of my favorite dishes here. Tortillas are handmade and super yummy.Vegetarian options: They can make some dishes vegetarian. They can add mushrooms and other veggies so your options are not just limited to cheese enchiladas and quesadillas.“
“We went here for brunch with friends and can say we will be back! Getting seated for 4 at their outside patio only took about 15 minutes on Sunday at brunch time. They brought water bowl out for our dog and were very friendly about having her there. The food came out fairly quickly, and can say that all of the dishes were amazing. We got the chilaquiles, Milanesa, and carnitas eggs Benedict. Everyone was super friendly and attentive!“
“Just stopped in for the first time, smiling ear to ear… a Tropisueno just a little closer to home? Had the guacamole, they mix it with tomatillo and tomato, very flavorful and fresh… a red roast pepper salsa, chips are very solid, not too hard, and hold a clean oil well. Flautas came with extra lettuce and a coupe tomatoes, some zesty crème sauce…Very pleased with the happy hour portions, price… will be looking forward to the next time, already want to go back :)“
“If your L?king for "The Burrito, one stop shop", this is the place. The rest of the Taquerias do not compare. Don't speak Spanish? Caucasians,Asians or any race, don't fear this place. This restaurant does not discriminate, understands english and supplies a very clean, relaxed, enjoyable and comfortable environment for all to enjoy a mouth watering, delicious burrito, with NO attitude. Just walk in,order and watch them make your burrito/meal right there on the spot. An don't forget the cookie. Star, this place as FAVORITES, on your map, cause this place is GOLD. Thank you, everyone at TAQUERIA EL BUEN SABOR, for making meal time pleasant, delicious and simple,as it was meant to be.Vegetarian options: Menu displays options and is very easy to understand.“
“I loved all the appetizers we ordered. The corn, the potatoes bravas, the guacamole. I was a little disappointed with the Birria tacos, but that might just be a personal preference on the way the consomme is made. Overall the service was splendid..the folks who took care of us were lovely.“
“This is by far one of the best taco trucks in the area. I have been coming back here for about two years, and I'm finally writing a review. I have tried everything on their menu and only one item I don't like, but it's my personal opinion. Their seasoning it's always on point. In two years, the food is always great. You get a good amount of meat per taco compared to every other truck in the area. Also their price is much lower than the competition. I have tried every single taco truck in the mission district, and this one is by far the best.“
“I was very excited to eat Filipino food again for the first time in years after I stopped eating meat. ✨ This location was very clean, there's standing coubterop seating inside and plenty of patio seating in the back. During dinner rush, I've seen a line even during weekdays. ⚡ The staff is friendly and the food was ready quickly. ? Got the Señor Sisig Bowl with tofu, medium spicy, and it was OK. The flavor overall was sweet, not savory enough, missing acidity to brighten it up. I don't like sweet chili sauce and it tasted and looked like the tofu was marinated in it. The garlic rice wasn't garlicy. The medium spice level was nice, not too spicy for a whole meal. I'd try the vegan chicken next time. ? Pretty good value, ~$14 + tax“
“Powell Station is footsteps away making Tropisueno my "go to" restaurant when I am near Union Square. The menu selection is diverse, which is great, but the last 2 times I have eaten there the service has fallen below satisfactory. I am bewildered as to why, seeing that they have far more wait staff than most restaurants.“
“Colibri is a Mexican bistro right close by the sea. It's a beautiful place for a hot meal in their outside court. The sun can fall into your eyes and start toasting you, so stick to those covered tables if possible. Keep in mind that although it's upscale, it is traditional and sticks with its roots. Not the kind of traditional that someone from the South is used to.Really great quality food. The spice was a big wake-up call for me. The drinks are fun (they put one of their cocktails in a peacock glass!) and they make sharing easy.“
“We found this Mexican restaurant while we visited Golden Gate Park and walked to there following google map. Their complimentary chips are freshly cooked, we especially liked the pairing red sauce salsa. It's delicious. I liked the carne asada taco and al pastor taco. The carne asada is seasoned well and grilled tender. The al pastor taco is paired with mango and has a little bit of sweet taste. The portion is generous and the price is affordable. The owner is warm and friendly. It's a great restaurant worth trying.“
“This is one of the best Quesabirria in the mission! You cannot be wrong by ordering this exquisite dish! Plus the consome is the kickoff that you need. The owner Liz is friendly and always treats you as family. The decor is pleasant and has a Latino flavor as well. Please come and visit this lovely family Latino-owned business“
“Vegetarian options: They have specific items on the menu for vegetarians, and I never had an issue with meat getting into my burritos. They dont sacrifice quality when it comes to their serving speed. All of the staff are friendly, and they serve food two blocks from Union Square. It is very convenient.“
“I was intending to pick up a burrito across the street but the line was long so I walked into Regalito Rosticeria. Very low key restaurant with great, high quality food. A chicken dish I ordered (white meat chicken on guacamole and sauce with rice and homemade corn tortillas was delicious and a large portion size I couldn't finish. Highly recommend this restaurant“
“Great little spot with genuinely great food. The service was spot on and you just know there is a lot of care and pride that goes into every dish. We had the beef birria plate and the calabazas a la Mexicana plate and they were both delicious.“
“Excellent Mexican food and drinks. Came here with a bunch of friends for brunch, and all ordered different things, and everything was really good.I really liked my Quesadilla Roja con Chicharron, which was filled with meaty and cheesy goodness.“
“This is a great little culinary find in downtown San Fran. Mexican cuisine close to the Moscone Center.Food is fabulous. All food is fresh and handmade. The staff is wonderful and friendly.Vicki is an amazing bartender. The head chef, Eric, knows how to bring the taste of Mexican food to the palate.Clean establishment with beautiful decor.Prices are affordable compared to the surrounding options. This place was so great I had to come back... Twice. Thanks Buena Vida, for a remarkable dining experience.“
“This place is sooo good it was worth the drive! The place is super clean and fun!The burrito was 10/10, and it is huge. I totally understand why is this price! The guacamole was delicious! The cashier was a really nice guy, and he made sure everyone had their needs met and he didn’t stop one minute! Between cleaning, greeting and etc… he is awesome! You guys are luck to have him!We are definitely coming back!“
“AMAZING food and super nice service! We are tourists from Canada, and had to cancel our dinner plans with another restaurant just to come back again the night before we left? the soup was heavenly. Don’t be intimidated by the surrounding environment. It is really super delicious and suitable for the Chinese stomach. Highly recommend panuchos and their soup“
“We happened on this place on a nostalgia tour of San Fransisco and it was certainly a highlight. Great neighborhood restaurant with fun atmosphere, and yummy Mexican food. We had the guacamole, cheese enchiladas with chicken and breakfast scramble with chorizo. Very fun!“
“Stopped by after work for a drink and some food and got the biggest (and tastiest) burrito I've seen in a while. The staff was super friendly l, and the entire restaurant was filled with fun happy people. It was a great atmosphere to be in. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area looking for some food.“
“I'm from Toronto and I loved my experience at Barrio! Mikey is fantastic! His personal touch and explanation of our tequila flight was exemplary. He introduced us to tequila that are better than anything we've tasted before (and we've tasted alot) The blue shell tacos and nachos were fantastic. We looking forward to coming back here next time we in San Fran.“
“Always a great time. This day, we ordered birria consome and pollo verde huarache. Not only were they delectable, we got to sit next to a big Mexican themed nativity scene with three Our Ladies of Guadalupe!! Everyone comes here, families, working ppl, the whole neighborhood. It's located in a quiet side street off the main strip.“
“Absolutely some of the best food I’ve ever had! True california/mexican food. Very healthy, affordable, fresh ingredients, incredible recipes. I would eat here every week if I lived nearby. We had the salad, sweet potato quesadilla, cauliflower tacos, agua fresca and flan. There was homemade hot sauce and homemade tortillas. Every dish was SO GOOD. I can’t wait to eat here again!“
“When it feels like restaurant food quality everywhere is going down while prices go up, Loltun stands apart - a shining light in the darkness. The food is so good and the prices are so affordable you might forget which city you're eating in. It's really like nothing else. The food is delicious, you can taste the care that is put in, the freshness and quality of the ingredients, in every bite. The portions are great for sharing and prices are super reasonable. It instantly became one of my favorite restaurants in SF.Everything on the menu is great, you can't go wrong. The Ponuchos, Salbutes, Tamales and Tortas are fantastic. The Poc-Chuc is incredible and the Caldo de Res is soothing, warm, and flavorful. Every dish comes with sauces, pickled veggies, citrus, salsa, and more. The combinations of flavors you can put together in a bit is unrivaled.Whether you're visiting the city or you've lived here for years, I truly cannot recommend this place enough.“
“So delicious with kind attentive service. I got the combo plate and each item was yummy. Usually it's a sea of beans with a blob of rice as a side note, but the beans and rice were stars themselves. The main choices were full of flavor and not overloaded with cheese and extra garnishes. We will definitely return if we are back this direction.“
“I LOVE THIS PLACE. I hardly ever write reviews but this place deserves it. From the food to the ambiance to the servers who always welcome you with a friendly smile. A hidden gem truly. Coming here for breakfast is my favorite thing. Don't hesitate!!!! COME.“
“Very tasty food, the attention being a small place is special, I feel at home, I am addicted to a good breakfast with Gallo pinto and plantains, this place makes it exquisite, the menu is simple, the place and especially the kitchen is very clean and the price of the food excellent.Just go you will not be disappointed.“
“Overdue and super late post. I almost forgot. This happened sometime in July. Went hiking w my niece and friends. Never realized that we will enjoy the hike here. It was way more than we expected. We took the ferry from Tiburon and had fun with the short 12 minutes ride of the oceanview. There were actually 2 different routes. The longer but easier and more flat pavement, or the shorter one but more steep with downhill and uphill trail. We took the shorter one but it still took us 2 hours to complete them. It was fun though! We wanted to rent some bike but didn't have time to do it since we had to leave before 3 pm. You can also bring food and beverages since there's a lot of picnic table. Maybe, when we come back here, we will need to plan more accordingly so we can do both the biking and picnic. On top of it all, the amazing views of the whole bay area and east bay are awesome while hiking. Will definitely come back!“
