“Nora was wonderful at the Beau Claire at Lakeside Inn. She greeted my mom and me so warmly even with a big party coming in, helped us sit outside with a beautiful view, and made us feel really comfortable and taken care of. She answered all our questions about the food and how the restaurant operates, and I learned more in one visit than I had in 30 years living here — I didn’t even realize you could just come eat here, and I can walk from my grandmother’s house! Most of all, Nora helped my mom feel at ease with her anxiety. We’re excited to come back. Thank you, Nora!”

The services and atmosphere was also wonderful and I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. We will definitely visit it again next year. They even took a reservation during the art & craft show which most restaurants won't do at that time. Delicious!”

“We’ve been coming here every time we make our annual trip up to Mt Dora for the past 4 years and love this bake shop! The breakfast options are always delicious and we love that they have seasonal baked to choose from. The lattes can be a little lackluster with almost no flavor coming through, but we’ll always come back for the food. Love that this is a privately owned shop, and the interior is always decorated so cute!”

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.”

“I found my new bakery 🎀🤍🎀 The Le Petit Sweet ladies were super sweet and a pleasure to deal with. The cake was not only beautiful but was soooo delicious! The lavender cookies were also beautiful and delicious! I just gave a general idea of what I wanted and told them to just do whatever they wanted and they were absolutely perfect 🎀👼🏼🎀 Then, the rest of the desserts! Macarons, bourbon cream puffs, tiramisu’s, mini raspberry cheesecakes and mini blackberry lime cupcakes were all amazing!!!!! Can’t wait to see what they do for my next event 🙏🏼🤍🎀 Thank you, Le Petit Sweet!”

It's really tough to find places that have intriguing new flavors, but also find the right balance so the drink isn't all syrup or flavor. “Went in a Friday night over the Arts Festival weekend. They were busy, but staff seated us fairly quickly. We ordered a veggie pizza - it came out huge, hot & delicious. The veggies were very fresh, the crust was not too thick or thin & it had the right amount of cheese. Our waitress was friendly & attentive. We feel like we picked a great place & wish we had more time to go back & choose one of their Italian dishes!”

“Our server Jose and another gentlemen provided us with exceptional customer service. They welcomed our family of 5 with smiling faces and friendly personalities. They were patient while we ordered our food and provided quick service. The restaurant was extremely clean, floors were recently mopped and tables were all wiped down. The food was fresh, delicious and well seasoned. For reference, we ordered a combination of wings, subs, fries and pretzels. Our 2 year old was licking her fingers and she is a very picky eater.

“This is the worst bar in Mount Dora. If you want to have a bad time. Go here. We showed up to the bar at 10 pm on a Saturday and ordered one drink per person. While my friends went to the bathroom, the bartender walked up to our table and took away our purchased drinks for no reason. The "manager", Mark came up and told me that we weren't welcome anymore. I asked why and he had no answer. I asked why again and he had no answer. Then after multiple times questioning, he said , "your too intoxicated" We were literally sober. The manager then physically intimidated us and forced us to leave. I'll never go to this bar again I live in this town and frequent town regularly. I'll never recommend anyone go to this bar for food or drink. What a top to bottom terrible experience. If you enjoy a good time, skip this bar.”

“Fantastic venue and service by the staff is attentive and the food is on point and great value. .99 Wings on Wednesdays and $2 tacos and $5 margaritas on Tuesday. Great selection of whiskeys and if you are into old fashioneds then this is your place. The pumpkin ginger martini is literally bordering orgasmic. They have the NFL ticket with beer bucket deals for game time. The outdoor areas are spacious and inviting. It is now my favorite spot for food and drinks.”

This is one of those authentic places that you rarely find and I had a gut Feeling that their pizza was the best around there’s a guy named Cameron there. He’s always there. He goes above and beyond. I’ve seen him dealing with angry customers With a smile on his face, but most importantly, the ingredients and the pizza from the pizza shop is my favorite. They gave me a slice on the house and I will not order pizza from anywhere else in mount dora.”

“Delicious food in the perfect atmosphere. I have a food allergy to trace amounts (histamine based but thankfully not anaphylaxis) so I usually don't eat at restaurants, but this one was worth it. Everything about the place puts the other Cuban restaurant on the corner to shame.”
