“Got Pork Tonkatsu with house sauce curry. Was $16.99. Came with 2 pork cutlets, good helping of rice, and a salad with what tasted like thousand island dressing. Pork was crispy and tender, sause was a slightly sweeter curry, rice was well cooked. Over all great price for food. Lady at counter was very polite and food took about 8min to cook. Would recommend“

My boys like the mushroom and California rolls sushi while I enjoyed the spicy hot fish poke bowl a lot. The staff and owner were super friendly and nice. The place was stylish, neat and clean. The sashimi was fresh and delicious! The food was served fast and the price was reasonable too. We are definitely coming back!“

“I tried Ekiben for the first time after driving by the other day. I ordered a roll and donburi to go and immediately loved them seeing that the food came in paper container, not plastic! Both rolls and donburi were excellent. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes Japanese food!“

The California roll and salad complete the meal perfectly. I also ordered the Truffle Yuzu Salmon, which had a beautiful balance of citrus and truffle flavor. Very reasonable prices as well. The most astonishing fact about this restaurant was the host (Quam) his amazing knowledge of food and customer service was unlike any other. The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. The ambiance of this establishment is very warm and pleasant. I highly recommend this place for family gatherings, and with people you want to share a special food feast with. “We ordered Bulgogi Kimbop, Crab Cream Cheese Roll, Teriyaki Salmon Roll, and Famous Fried Chicken with honey garlic sauce. Everything was very fresh and tasty. The bulgogi kimbop had a generous amount of fillings but I could have used more of whatever delicious sauce was on it. My kids (age 2 and 3) devoured the crab cream cheese roll and the salmon teriyaki roll was slightly sweet and smoky and delicious. The boneless chicken was great. It was so crunchy and perfectly cooked and drenched in the his sticky honey garlic sauce that I was licking out of the package. The man who was running the restaurant (and cooking and ringing up orders, one man show!) was really nice and super kind! The restaurant didn’t have too many tables but the ambiance and decor was super cute and it was not loud inside. I will be back when I’m in town next.“

My fiancé ordered the shrimp in a blanket and they were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. I had the ramen both times and it was absolutely delicious. My fiancé tried the pad thai with shrimp on one visit and the basil shrimp fried rice on another, and both dishes were full of flavor and so satisfying. The flakey crab ragoon tops any other. It's ruined crab ragoon for me anywhere else. The chicken pad thai is delicious and when adding their hot sauce, it's perfect! So many varieties of rolls, you'll definitely find a favorite. Their presentation is always so eye pleasing. If it's your birthday, they have the cutest and delicious mochi ice cream. The staff is always so kind, attentive, and service with a big smile. This is a place I like to show off to other people and It's always a positive feedback.“

“Sushi lover here. Ordered couple times 3 rolls lunch special and it was great. The quality of the rolls is top notch. Today I went to try the signature nigiri and Ari maki along with their house sake and it was just amazing.
Make sure to try the Zuke salmon nigiri, Yellowtail signature nigiri and the Big eye tuna nigiri as well. They are all wow😌“

The omakase is hands down the best in Chicago. I've heard various conversations of the guests who like to flex where they've been around the world to him...he smiles and nods. He's got his fish guy in Japan. He knows his product is 🔥. Such a treat to have a seat at the table. Make a resv if you can cause it's definitely worth it.“
