Our reservation was at 8:30 so quite a few popular dishes (octopus, gnocchi, shrimps) were all sold out. But whatever we ordered, they were really tasty and filling! I couldn't digest all the food I consumed till the next morning.”

Tried three different beers and enjoyed each one. They didn’t do flights but do offer small pours so it made it easy to try different brews.

He looked tired, but despite that, he was still friendly, respectful, and professional. He got my food out quickly, and it was fresh and hot. Two of the three times, I found almost all the dishes delicious and interesting (I always have the omnivore menu) m. One time was just bland all around and one dish was very unbalanced and too acidic. It’s BYOB, which I really like (the wine is always excellent, ha ha). I’m so done with QR code menus though.”

“We had an incredible experience at Grill 23 & Bar — easily the best steakhouse we’ve been to in Boston. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was phenomenal. We ordered both the filet mignon and the ribeye, and each steak was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and truly outstanding. The sides were just as memorable — the macaroni and cheese was rich and comforting, the Brussels sprouts were perfectly prepared, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and delicious. Adding the Béarnaise sauce on the side was absolutely worth it and paired beautifully with the steaks. Dessert was the perfect ending: warm chocolate chip cookies served with vanilla ice cream — simple, classic, and done flawlessly. A huge highlight of the evening was our waiter, Bernardo. We will absolutely be requesting him on future visits. He offered thoughtful suggestions, anticipated our needs effortlessly, and somehow managed to be there exactly when we needed him — and never when we didn’t, if that makes sense. Just genuinely attentive, professional, and welcoming service that elevated the entire experience. An unforgettable dinner all around. We can’t wait to come back.”

“Very difficult to get a reservation, but overall a good experience. Aside from the appetizers and couple of nigiri options that I thought were amazing (tilefish with crispy skin, soft Hokkaido scallop, and melt in your mouth saltwater eel), most of the other nigiri offerings were just ok (good, but nothing truly mind-blowing). I think the appetizers were intriguing, maybe a little hard handed on the herbage. As for the price, it's $280 plus 7% kitchen fee, plus tip... It's steep and I think there are better value options. That's not to say that this isn't worth going to, it's good and worth a try.”

They easily accommodated our allergies and dietary restrictions and the menu was excellent. Far better than some of the other Michelin started restaurants we have been to. It definitely worth the money. I can't wait to go back!”

“Lots of thoughts on this one… and, some mixed feelings too. Classic escargots without the shell? Well, unexpected, to say the least. Certainly felt like we were missing out on the experience here. The blueberry tart was really a pie, in both appearance and design. A slightly confusing identity crisis on the plate, I would say. 😳

On the cocktail front, we liked Golden Hour, the peach cocktail from their new summer cocktail menu. Very peachy, very nice! Clouseau… not so much. Watered-down was the word that came to mind right away.

In all, the food was great, the conversation was even better, and the evening was a success! And yet, my search for a French restaurant in the Boston area that can top this one continues... Do you know one? I’m all ears 😉”

It was homemade and actually pretty good BUT in my 60 years of eating meatball subs, this is the first one that was just meatball and bread..(with a sprinkle of parm out of a Kraft container)..no sauce or cheese (although i can do without that) some sauce would have made it!”

“we had a wonderful experience all around on a busy Sunday. The manager, Russ, greeted us with a warm smile, setting the tone for a great evening. we sat outside and Jorge F, took great care of us. He was prompt but we never felt rushed. the food was excellent, the Lobster cones are a great new item. we also had the classic mussels. The grilled salmon was delicious. Russ was leading his team through a busy shift but was able to make time to ensure everything was just right. The best in the Seaport.”

“We were celebrating our 16th anniversary and my retirement, and wanted to do it up right! We picked the right place for it. Coming in from Cape Cod, for a concert at Fenway we had reservations for Abe and Louie’s, but there were 2 at the bar so they let us sit there instead of our table. Our bartenders were great. To our surprise, Bree almost immediately said “Happy Anniversary!” And our drink order was taken. Michelle made a spicy margarita with a nice kick and a heavy glass, and a soda. Then we ordered shrimp cocktail which were brought out in mere moments. The shrimp were huge and cold and crunchy- perfect! We took our time and were not rushed to order our meal, but once we did, with Kendal, she asked all the right questions, offered to split our salad in the kitchen, and made some great recommendations. I wanted my Filet with their wedge salad as my entree and was told no problem. Our meal, my huge filet and my man’s ribeye were both cooked as requested and his suggested garlic whipped potatoes were creamy and yummy! The food was all out of this world, but what made the dining a true experience was the tango these three women danced around each other, each knowing what the other was doing and exactly what their patrons wanted. You can get a great filet many places but I pay for the service and we both felt like we were treated like royalty. Thank you Bree, Kendal and Michelle for making our anniversary and my retirement a true celebration!!”

“Loved the vibe and the drinks. Ordered warm olives as appetizer. They have a nice selection of cocktails though only 3 whiskey based ones outbof which we had 2 and they were both nice. They also made my favorite cocktail, Boulevardier when requested. Our server Crystal was great. She was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this bar and we will be back.”

“Possibly the best chowder/seafood spot in Boston. I’ve been going here since I was a kid when my dad would take me to Celtics games. We’d always get chowder and oysters before. The food has not changed and is always as flavorful as ever. When I’m at school I come here at least once a week cause it’s my favorite spot. I also have spent half my life in Maine so I know a thing or two about seafood. Come to this place!”

“I stopped in after dinner with my date to finally try this place out and we were blown away.

First off: the flavors are amazing. They are both well thought of combinations and absolutely high quality products. This is artisan level ice cream. It is very dense and rich. It kind of reminds me of Italian gelato in a way. I loved the cones as well. You can order a 1, 2, or 3 scoop in a cone or cup. Or cone kind of looking thing in a cup.

The staff here was super nice and friendly. Thank you for your professionalism! I love the atmosphere of the store and it was very modern, clean, and intriguing. I wanted a cone as soon as I walked in.

Price wise, be prepared for expensive ice cream. In my opinion it was worth the purchase for how exceptionally better it was than the vast majority of places I’ve tried around town.

“A very nice restaurant serving breakfast all day. The chocolate is probably 2000 calories and will give you diabetes, but is also tasty ;) just don't expect you'll be able to eat if you drink it.

Eggs Benedict are only served with eggs sunny side up (not poached), and on a toast, which is a bit average, but overall it is a great experience.”
