“I always enjoy going to the Starbucks location in the clinic on Joint Base Andrews. The team there is very welcoming and kind. I tried the new pistachio cold brew and it was delicious. Thank you for good coffee and a pleasant experience every time! :-)“

“My go-to coffeeshop ever since moving to the neighborhood a year ago. The coffee is delicious and every sandwich is made fresh. Comfortable seating on the upper level with views of the nearby park makes for a great spot to relax. Highly recommend over the many chain coffeeshops dotting Navy Yard.“

“Great place. Wish they would open a 2nd place at Liberty Exchange in Sykesville - 2 units still open for a nice coffee place (that isn’t Starbucks!) one is right next to Basta Pasta!!“

“I went in on 4th of July for the first time and tried an iced la banda (lavender) cappuccino at the awesome Robin's suggestion. It was creamy and perfect for the summer day, and Robin was so kind! I took my friend back the next day and we got an iced cortado, an iced orange despadura, and an iced.. vanilla latte! Yeah. Another customer suggested adding mocha to the orange, and it was HEAVENLY. I was skeptical of orange in coffee, but no, I was wrong! There's a reason why the despadura is the most popular drink! The other baristas are equally nice, and I just like the vibe there in general. We found a nice place to sit outside. I think the only suggestion I'd give is to make the coffee display in the center of the shop a bit smaller so people can get around it more easily. Unido is so cool. ☕️🌸“

“Pub like atmosphere with an eclectic menu. Service was pretty good, and certainly helpful and friendly. The menu is somewhat like a tapas place in that the portions are fairly small and if you go hungry, you may need to order more than one. Has an outside area, heated, where you enjoy the official bird song of Washington DC - the police siren.“

“Delicious coffee! I’ve had many iced lattes in my life and the one I had here is definitely up there as one of my favorite cups. The service was also amazing — Greg is so kind and helpful. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area and looking for a good cup of coffee and a solid breakfast :)“

“This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go! The Roost was my go to during the pandemic with tons of outdoor seating. Since it was in my neighborhood we frequented a lot. The staff watched my little one practically grow up there! It became our meeting place and neighborhood watering hole. Quick and efficient and some of the best food and customer service! We’ve moved from the area but always stop by when in town because it feels like home!“

“Always, always our go-to place. Don’t waste your time walking around when the very best is in your backyard. There is something for everyone and the quality and service can’t be beat. This team has been together for years, and there’s a reason why.“

“I've been to SOST a few times over the last few months. I love it. The food is delicious and the staff are really top tier. They all have a great demeanor and offer a great environment. There is always something nice to enjoy at SOST, whether it be love music, a cafe vibe, or a community event.
Some friends and I went today for brunch. All though the menu was a bit limited, we all ordered 3 different things and we all enjoyed it. Our server was a great sport by listening to us ask why there weren't any breads or carbs on the menu and Saim was very accommodating when spoke with him as well. He gave us a full tour of the restaurant and it was just a great time right before the Brunch and Go Home event began.“

“Overall lackluster experience. There are better French-style restaurants in DC. Cute place, great location, food was just ok. We've had better similar dishes elsewhere locally. Wait staff was attentive but seemed disinterested. Might try brunch one day. Not sure we'd return for dinner.“

“Great bakery with alot of options! The turkey avocado sandwich was yummy! Also got an iced matcha latte, it wasn't bad but wasn't expecting full Unsweetened. The pistachio croissant had a good flavor but would've been way better warmed up!“

“Delicious little coffee house with in-house roasted beans. The cappuccino I got had quite an exquisite flavoring. I haven’t had one like this that remember and I quite like it. There was no line when I was in there and a few people sitting around enjoying the music and mood. I’ll come back if I’m in the area again!“

“The fam and I stopped by here after a trip the Postal Museum (review to come on that for those of you who follow...aka my wife) and were really impressed. Coffee shops are a dime a dozen in the city, but good coffee shops can be pretty hard to come by.
Ebenezers was a breath of fresh air both metaphorically in the sense that it's a beautiful shop and had a really refreshing, open atmosphere, and literally because they pump the AC inside and it felt great coming in from the muggy outdoors.
The coffeehouse itself it's surprisingly spacious. On the main level there's a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. When we came (early afternoon) we were able to walk right up to the counter to order and had no trouble finding a spot to sit. They also have a basement seating area that had a lot of seating, but it looks like they open and close that for private events, so not sure frequently it's available. Nevertheless, it was open when we were there.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. They took our orders quickly and we were able to just sit down and wait...and wait...and wait some more. I think there was some issue with the espresso machine because the barista kept pulling shots and then smelling the coffee that came out. After doing this a couple of times he called over another employee and did the same thing with him. After a brief consultation they didn't do anything to the machine, pulled the shots for me and my wife and handed them to us.
I'm not really sure what that consultation was, but I've got to say, that little demonstration didn't give me a lot of comfort about what we would be drinking.
Nevertheless, putting that behind me, we grabbed our drinks, went outside and started sipping. Honestly, they were both great. I ordered a latte and it was wonderful, my wife ordered a lavender iced latte which was also quite nice. Maybe the barista pulling shots was just THAT exacting, who can say for sure?
All in all, this is a great spot to stop off. It's really close to Union Station, easy to walk to and a nice place to sit down and do some work. I'll be coming back and hoping the espresso machine is cleaned by then.“

“I stopped by Pitango for dessert, and it definitely hit the spot! 😋 I tried two flavors: Stracciatella (vanilla with chocolate chips) and Fondente (dark chocolate). I don't usually eat gelato, so I was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess. The service was excellent; I wasn’t sure what to choose, but the cashier helped me by offering samples and sharing details about each flavor I tried. One of the chocolate flavors I sampled was incredibly rich and chocolatey—it's water-based and vegan-friendly, which was a first for me! The restaurant was nice, clean, and had indoor seating that could accommodate several people, but I decided to take my treat to go.“

“I have been coming to this coffee shop almost every day since they opened around 10 years ago - way before Blagden Alley was trendy! Even though it’s technically a national chain, this particular location has always felt much more like a local institution. The staff is always so nice (current manager Alyssa is a delight, as is longtime barista Sandra) and the vibes are always great, whether it’s saying hi to the morning commuters or meeting interesting convention attendees from out of town. Whether you’re a visitor or a local, you can’t do better in the neighborhood than this spot!“

“I really wanted to love this cafe, but a few things threw me off. The prices seemed affordable at first, but after the unexpected 12% service charge and DC’s already high taxes, my total was a lot higher than I expected. That said, my scallion pancake sandwich was really good—the sauce added so much extra flavor! The drip coffee was also solid, and the location is great. I’d love to see them cut down on these extra fees, though, because the cafe itself is gorgeous inside. I can definitely spend an afternoon here reading“

“No WiFi. Phenomenal service, and perfect espresso: smooth (not bitter), and strong— important for a busy student. Chill music, not too loud. Small latte comes with 2 shots of espresso. My gorgeous vanilla latte is pictured. I needed to add additional sweetener to mine because I’m a fiend for sweet drinks, but even without sweetener it was smooth and tasty.
I do encourage management to provide WiFi for guests. This would be a perfect spot to get work done and study, if there was internet. Me personally, my hotel WiFi reaches here, but everyone should have access to this lovely study spot.
The staff are fast and extremely friendly! And expert baristas, of course.“

“As a Central Asian who grew up with a similar culture and cuisine, I can confidently say this is the best Middle Eastern restaurant I’ve ever visited.
We sat at the bar, where the two bartenders provided great service.
The dishes were creatively presented and rich in diverse flavors. The Pita with Mushrooms and Hummus was our favorite.
The Frozen Halva Bar is, without a doubt, the most unique and delicious dessert I’ve ever tried. The combination of chocolate ganache, sesame, and halva ice cream blended perfectly. Thank you, pastry Chef, Evyn.“

“Absolutely LOVE this place. My personal favorite in the entire district. The only negative of every aspect is that they close at 5pm, when they used to be open until at least 7pm. We are open later and this used to be our spot for the last one of the day!“

“I was in a training near the 15th Street location of Zeke’s. Found it the first morning and went back every day. Shared my experience with others and we all loved it. A local was amazed at her coffee and will be a regular now. The employees were so kind and remembered my order every single day. Best dirty chai I’ve ever had! Quality coffee. Friendly employees. “Today, my coworkers and I visited a coffee shop. I enjoyed a hot chocolate, ham and cheese croissant, and some pumpkin bread. The customer service was excellent. While making my drink, the worker ran out of whipped cream. She apologized and had to go to the back to get more. I waited for a while, but I appreciated that all the employees checked on me and made me a new hot chocolate since the previous one had gone cold. Thank you for the great service!“

“Cute little spot to go and get some work done. I was confused though about why there are certain tables that are marked as laptop free? What difference does it make lol. Also, the iced chai was really good, but the grilled cheese was the star of the show. I really enjoyed the tomato salsa that it was served with.“

“If there’s one thing I love it’s CONSISTENCY, and Compass is consistently yummy and quick! My top two drinks are the vanilla cream cold brew (add whipped cream & thank me later) or vanilla latte with oat milk. But the seasonal cherry blossom cold brew tops them both when they serve it in the spring. Great place to work if you’re looking to get out of the house, and the baristas are the sweetest. 💗 This is my neighborhood shop & they all know my name (and order!!) whether it’s been two days or two weeks since I last dropped in.“
