“This was an important dinner, my son who is 26, had surgery(had his tonsils removed) a couple days ago, and The recovery is described as one of the worst, and it feels like shards of glass in your throat.he has to eat soft food and he had Choices all over the Kansas City metro area. He chose Joe’s, Joe’s mac & cheese to be exact! We live on the Missouri side (Gladstone). So I decided to stop by this evening, and not only get a quart of mac & cheese for him, I grabbed dinner for myself (z-man w/ fries, ribs w/ red beans and rice, Mac and cheese) which I was reluctant to do, due to me having to drive 35 minutes home and I was worried that it was going to be Soggy and cold, Well, much to my surprise, the food was packed perfectly, my food was still hot, and my fries were still crispy! Thank you Joe’s in Leawood you did amazing! I will probably be back in the next couple of days to purchase more Joes mac & cheese! BTW this son of mine recommends Joes to everyone!! “our 2nd time here from South Dakota the smoked turkey was incredible burnt ends you don't even have to chew. and the slaw is unbelievable we ate so much, then got the sampler to bring home a must stop every time we make the 5 hour drive to KC“

“Grew up in K C K. Old go to was Plesas bbq on Leavenworth rd. Went to slapps for the first time 6/27/22. Now my go to place used to be Jack Stack but they have slipped. Slapps my new bbq happy place!!“

“There's a reason why we come back about every 2-3 weeks. The food is consistently delicious. The ambiance is always perfect for our date night. The host always recognizes us and seats as promptly with our reservation and our server Betsy always takes the utmost care of us. Honestly, she's one of the primary reasons why we keep coming back. Thank you for helping us with our date night. It's obvious you take the time to take care of the customers.“

“Chef J's BBQ was incredible! I was lucky enough to be able to order The Boss, therefore I got to try the Brisket and Jalapeno BBQ Sausage and both tasted fresh with the perfect amount of smoke. The ratio of fat and tender meat on the Brisket was perfect. My girlfriend and I showed up hungry and left with a full belly. The staff that work at Chef J's BBQ make you feel like your eating at home. 10 out of 10 experience!“

“Claire was our server; Very friendly and personable, wonderful service; Hope we didn't talk her ear off, but she was a sweetheart.
We were a party of three; We ordered the BBQ Feast (Half slab of Ribs, Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Brisket, Spicy Sausage, slice of toast, helping of Pickles); It was enough for all of us; Very delicious; came out quickly; we ate like animals; Had to take left overs to go.

“My husband and I had the best experience at this restaurant. The food was good as always. During our meal my husband had to use the rest room. He has some dementia and can’t walk very well. Unfortunately we were sitting at a table which was on the complete opposite side of the restaurant from the rest room. The server noticed our dilemma and said she would guide him over to the restroom. She was back immediately. I said, “Oh, he won’t be able to find his way back to this table.” The server told me not to worry about it. The restaurant manager had taken him over and would wait and bring him back. That is undoubtedly the kindest thing that has ever happened to us in a restaurant. Thank you to the wonderful people at the RoanRidge Texas Roadhouse.“

“I cannot express enough how amazed I am with the customer service. Yesterday (Super Bowl Sunday—-GO CHIEFS!) I placed an online order. My pick up time was at 5 (earliest I could get because I waited too long to place the order) I arrive early hoping it would be done earlier because I had people arriving at my house and I didn’t want to miss the game. When I arrived it was packed on people waiting. I assumed I was going to be there for awhile so asked if I could order a beer. They got me a beer and a chair. As I sat there for over an hour (it went past my pick up time) I saw all of the employees working very hard trying their best to fill the orders quickly. Some of the customers were being quite rude to the girls up front as the customers were upset their food wasn’t ready. The girls did an amazing job keeping everyone calm they would simply just smile and tell them they are working on it. I was so impressed how these girls handled themselves not one time did I hear them get snippy with a customer even tho I’m sure they wanted to. It was always a smile with a polite response. I was there almost til the end and a guy started yelling at the girls and still it was a smile and polite response. I got my food and made it for the game and the food was delicious as always!“

“I went there this past weekend and the food was excellent. Of course I think it had a lot to do with how amazing our server Logan was! She was one of a kind and I don’t think I’ve ever experienced service as well as hers. Definitely consider changing it to Famous Logan’s!“

“I did carry out. They came out so fast after I check in that when I called to make sure they included steak sauce she was already at my car. Everything was delicious. I still feel like they should go a little heavier with the season on the steak. I had to add some when I got to the house but that's just me nitpicking. It was great“

“I had I think the most delicious chicken and pear salad I’ve ever had in my life here. There was a couple of conferences going on inside the hotel so the restaurant and bar area was crowded and there was only one staff person waiting on everyone. I don’t know what the situation was in the kitchen however, even though I had to wait for a service, I knew they were doing their best and when my salad came, it was so delicious. I also ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and it was a very generous pour maybe making up for the lack of help that day. It did help me enjoy my lunch very much. I would go there just to go there even if I wasn’t attending anything at the hotel.“

“While visiting from Seattle, WA; My overall experience at Gates was fine, and I appreciated that the order taker kept the line moving. However, my experience with the young lady at the register was disappointing.
She assumed that I was trying to cut in front of two ladies who had already placed their order. In reality, I was simply standing in an empty space near the counter while waiting to pay. She said, “Those other ladies were here before you!” while rolling her eyes, which came across as rude and unnecessary.
I explained to her that I knew the ladies were ahead of me. In fact, they told me I could go ahead of them because they were also waiting to pay, but I politely told them it was okay and waited my turn.
I have no issue with being corrected if there is a misunderstanding, but the way I was spoken to and treated was very off-putting. Unfortunately, that interaction overshadowed what otherwise would have been a perfectly fine experience at Gates. I hope management will remind staff that kindness and professionalism go a long way when interacting with customers.“

“Went after a world cup game. We were so thankful they were open and serving fresh, hot food. My son devoured his smash burger saying it was awesome. The fried mushroom and zucchini app was great. The service was fantastic considering they had an unexpected late crowd. Also they head a really good draft beer selection. We were also able to watch the US game.“

“This is our favorite authentic taco place!! We come here just about every week and every time we are blown away by the high quality food and service. Better than La Nueva! Make sure to get the aguacate - it’s spicy but delicious.“
