“If I could’ve put more stars, I would. The customer service I received was so impressive. It is so hard to come by great customer service nowadays. I bought a decorative cup and it broke. I asked if I could replace it for a new cup and I did not have my receipt and there was no issues at all. The staff did not interrogate me on how it broke or deny me because I didn’t have a receipt. They saved it for me in the back, and I came and exchanged it. I am so grateful because I really like this cup. Carter was the absolute best! He put my needs first with no issue.“

“The best Starbucks around. The service is great. They always get my order right. I have been to this Starbucks 1000+ times (I mean, I have been going there every day for the past several years), and I have never been disappointed. The drink is made very well, and the staff is just awesome. I go to other Starbucks once in a while, but this location is the best of the best.

“?love this store! they make my flat whites and iced coffees perfectly!
The staff are hardworking and do an amazing job handling busy hours and customers.
Matthew is always very professional and greets me and everyone that comes in.
Managers do a wonderful job running the floor to ensure beverages are out quick and made correctly.
I live a bit farther away now so I don't visit often, but when I do the experience is immaculate.

“This is one is the best Starbucks I've been to. FYI THOUGH; this one doesn't have a drive through. My coffee was great, and I mean great, way better than other Starbucks. But the staff is amazing and the atmosphere is great m it's such a cute little place for a Starbucks. I wish i got the cashiers name. Whomever she was deserves a raise. She was super sweet and is great at customer service. I went in on March 15 about 9am and I talked to her about playing pokemon and visiting from out of town for my son's hockey tournament. So shout out to her!“

“Absolutely love this Starbucks location! The staff is wonderful, cheerful, welcoming and kind. Love the set up, seating options and outdoor seating. Only complaint is the bathrooms are usually dirty which is not the barista’s fault. I know how hard it is to balance everything going on and constant bathroom checks. One toilet had poop in the seat and the other was a little gross too. Again, this is the customers fault for making the bathrooms gross. Overall, great place, I recommend to everyone!“

“I have been going to Starbucks for years and have had a lot of good experiences and some not so good, but I have never encountered anyone as incredible as Shi working at this story on University. I discovered this Starbucks when we moved closer to the area, and it has become our go-to store instead of the one we frequented in the South Park area.

I first noticed her making drinks and seeing her always moving, always working, and never standing around, even when the store wasn't busy. She would be cleaning her area and taking care of anything she thought needed to be done.

Probably a couple of months ago, she waited on my wife and I at the register. I always order a coffee cake not warmed up, and probably at least 75 percent of the time it's warmed up. When I ordered from Shi, she immediately gave me my coffee cake. What's funny is I had mentioned to my wife multiple times previously, why don't they just give it to me since I don't get it heated, because I have often still been waiting for it while I already had my drink, and at some stores, this was over 10 minutes later. I think I mentioned to her that I appreciated that she did that.

A few weeks back, we ordered our drinks and my coffee cake and my wife's sandwich. I thought I noticed Shi making my drink, but when she picked it up and started walking with it, I assumed it wasn't mine and was for the drive thru. Instead, she walked over to us at our table and brought both of our drinks and food orders. In well over 30 years of visiting Starbucks, that had never happened. I admit I was kind of stunned, but I guess I shouldn't have been, because Shi is incredible at her job. She always makes the drinks perfect, is always working and so hard at that. I get tired watching her and admit I would probably slack off when things were slow, but she never does. I told her how much I appreciated her service.

This Starbucks is the most efficient one I have been to in Charlotte, and I have been to several, and I think the likely reason is Shi. I do think Starbucks is dropping the ball though, because Shi should be a corporate trainer for Starbucks, teaching every store to be run as efficient as she is. She's incredible, always friendly, welcoming and smiling, and as good at her job as anyone could possibly be. Shi is a standout, and this Starbucks is really lucky to have her. I hope they realize that.“

“Clean and pleasant Starbucks… cash attendant was friendly and didn’t seem to hate the day/life as some in the area.There is no drive thru and parking can be hard to find but the husband dropped me off for convenience and circled the lot.You can tell the staff was elbow deep making online orders because a venti blonde red eye and cappuccino took about 5 minutes. I took off a star because even though I always order a cappuccino, I end up getting a latte… and that’s why we bought a Breville Barista Express for the house. I’m paying for a cappuccino, might as well know it’s made correctly.Nice establishment though… will be back for a quick drink if it’s on our route and if we don’t make our own.“

“I decided to walk around downtown to see if I could find a spot to charge my phone until my AirBnB was ready for check in and I stumbled on this Starbucks. Of course I thought, well I can go there, charge my phone and have a coffee then keep moving. I ended up staying for almost an hour just chatting with one of the managers, Sarah. She was so delightful, made many recommendations for food, entertainment and even provided safe routes for walking around town. This was the nicest store, everyone was so welcoming. I look forward to visiting this location again during my stay!“

“I was at Levine Cancer Institute for business for 3 days in June and went to this kiosk every day. I either got an iced latte or I got lunch. In the mornings, the line was pretty long, but when I went over there to grab something to eat at noon, it was maybe a 5 minute wait.The food and drinks tasted as good as at any Starbucks. The staff is pretty friendly and pretty efficient.They have a few tables and chairs for you to sit there. Or you can go around the corner and sit in front of Caribou Coffee in Levine Cancer Institute.“

“I live uptown and have been coming to this Starbucks several mornings each week for several years using Mobile Order. The morning crew here is simply the best! Drew, Jaz, Austin, Janae, Brandon, and Mansi always take great care of me and have my order ready (apologizes if I missed a barista!).

I'm tickled that they know my order by heart. To walk in and be greeted by name AND a smile brightens my day! That level of kindness and personal touch is rare in service jobs these days and goes far with me. You never know what someone is going through and they make me feel like a celebrity when I walk in, making my morning off to a great start. I enjoy the little moments of small talk when it's not busy - it's nice getting to know the baristas personally. Even when it is busy, a quick "how is your day going" from the barista over the glass divider to acknowledge me is impactful.

My drinks are consistent, never sloppy, and perfectly made. I look forward to seeing the creative prompts on the dry erase board each week. If there is ever a snaffoo or mixup, (which is rare) they acknowledge it and insist on making it right immediately.

I would visit this Starbucks inside Harris Teeter on 4701 Smith Farms Rd more often if I knew the days Anniyah would be there. You need more people like her and she deserves a raise.“

“I went to the Starbucks inside the Harris Teeter grocery store at 1704 Central Ave in Charlotte. The people working there were super nice, even though they had a lot of customers.I tried two iced teas: the regular Iced Green Tea and the Iced Passion Tango Tea. The green tea tasted clean and natural, not too sweet. It was perfect for a hot day.But the Passion Tango Tea was the best! It was a pretty pink color and smelled really good. It tasted fruity and a little sour, like lemongrass and hibiscus. It wasn't too sugary, so I could really taste the tea flavors. It almost tasted like juice!I had a great time at this Starbucks. The workers were awesome and the iced teas were delicious. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other drinks!“

“I am ALWAYS Nervous with ordering. Rachel was Absolutely Amazing!!! She was patient, kind and knowledgeable. I gave her my vision for a fruity and refreshing drink and she nailed it. “Sierra is awesome!!! I am in there before 7 am when I go and she is always going at super speed, running to the back of the store to get supplies that the night people didn't replace, and doing it all herself. I get my drink faster than when I go into a store with 2 or 3 people working. I have never had an incorrect order from her and I have a really annoying order.....only reason there is not 5 stars is because this morning there was a different person who didn't know how to label a White Mocha or make it right. I also ordered an almond milk latte and ended up with the drink in the picture....which doesn't look or taste appealing...“

“I come here often when I dash. I never gave this place a review and it's one of the most pleasant places to go when you're getting your day started. In particular it is three women there I don't know their names I only know one name and her name is Tasha. Always hospitable, always smiling and always moving quickly to get customers orders. They pay close attention to detail even every now and then they draw or they write little messages to their customers and I've been to thousands of places and very few do things of that magnitude with gratitude. I urge you to at least give her ( there's another young lady in there she has locs there's also an older gentleman and there's like three other people that I see all the time and they're always doing great. All of them deserve a raise because when I say they've been doing this for months I know I have seen them since December at least three to six times a day everyday and they're always nice. “The customer service here sucks and they don’t turn off order ahead when they close the store so then I had to wait in the drive-thru for it.I know that makes me sound like a “Karen” but for the price you pay, you should be able to choose a different store if you use the app to avoid such situations. Turn off the order ahead when you close the store for ordering due to staffing shortages. “I normally go to this Starbucks and had great experiences. The service is normally great, the communication and food. Went this morning 11/20/23, through the drive thru and service was horrible. I ordered 2 Christmas drinks, 2 baked items and a breakfast item. My drinks were a gingerbread and caramel brûlée. Both were customized with almond milk and labeled as such. Got home and they did not have any of the Christmas syrups and no almond milk. My partner was in pain because of the milk. Someone is either new or really didn’t care. To add, the parking lot was not full.“

“Staff is always pleasant and drinks are typically ready in a reasonable amount of time. Drinks aren’t consistent in taste though. Patio is nice area to enjoy a drink with a pup after our walk on the greenway. It’s also good space with kids. Interior is not always super clean but nothing major.
That little parking lot is a mess. I’d suggest parking a rock the street near the bathroom.

“This was my first time visiting the Starbucks in this location and I will have to say it was a very pleasant experience.

I want to recognize a very respectful and professional young lady that was very attentive while I placed a rather large order for my family. Her name I believe was Layla and she was a breath of fresh air with her customer service skills. My drinks were all accurate and everyone was very pleased with their orders.“
