“I’m a little annoyed that it took me a while to find this place on google to review it. This is because I know this place as Dumpling House not Green Leaf. Not sure if Dumpling House is the ghost kitchen or if Green Leaf is the ghost kitchen. We ordered roast pork lo mein, beef dumplings, scallion pancake, vegetable dumplings, and soup dumplings. The food was pretty good but I have a problem with their soup dumplings. The chefs at Dumplings House aka Green Leaf need to look up what soup dumplings are on Wikipedia. Instead of two orders of soup dumplings that we ordered, they gave us two quarts of wonton soup broth that had pork dumplings in them. Just because there was soup doesn’t make them soup dumplings. Not even the same flavor profile!! But they were still delicious to eat but we would if preferred what we ordered: soup dumplings. The chef specialities they offer include Buffalo wings, chicken wings, and French fries. I think one of the chefs at this restaurant used to work at Buffalo Wild Wings. Which would make sense why it would be their specialty!I“
“This is a pretty good fried chicken spot. I've ordered from here several times and the food has been consistently delicious. I would say this chicken is comparable, if not better, than Popeyes! The prices are reasonable and the sides are ok. My new favorite spot!!!“
“Shout out to the chefs!!! Have an allergy and they were super accommodating. Food was delicious. Absolutely recommend everything we tastedDietary restrictions: I can't eat onions, they were very accommodating as far as what dishes could be modified“
“I’ve never done a review before, but me and my partner had an amazing time here tonight. Just stopped by to have a couple drinks and a snack before heading home. The server, I’m not sure of his name but he was a server in the front section by the bar Wednesday around 8pm. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the wine list and knew all the details about the food we were served. The food runner ran thru each item on the food. Just incredible service. The server picked a fantastic wine I wouldn’t usually go for. The atmosphere was fire. Food 10/10. Recently moved to the area and we’ll be regulars now. Couldn’t rate this place higher. Oh and I also want to mention my partner called ahead and didn’t catch the host, but they called her back in like 1 minute and managed to squeeze us in. You’re running a tight ship!“
“First, I love the low key atmosphere and the ambient light. I've noticed, as I've aged, that a lot of so-called popular restaurants are noisy and bright and the food is only OK. Hav and Mar is the opposite of that. It's a relaxing place with fantastic food- to the eye and the palate, excellent, professional service and great music. I hope it stays this way.“
“Food here is cooked absolutely right! State of the art. From starters to main course all is superb! Price is perfect. Great combination for a perfect night out. Lobster is tasty and well prepared. Alaskan Cod is amazing. For business or date. Look forward to being back!“
“Stopped by a few weeks after opening. The food was excellent. Me and my boys ordered a little bit of everything. Drunken noodle was great. Duck was great. Drinks were nice looking but I don't remember what I had so, I'll try it again. Wasn't super enthused on that front but definitely a fire spot to check out. Date night gem .“
“Short and sweet? Brought my girls here.Let them order anything.I picked the restaurant because my favorite food is Lamb Chops, and the girls love seafood. Blue Ribbon had both along with a good location. So first you are going to spend here.Eat and drink like we did, plan on $80- $100 per person. Second, WORTH IT ! I took a bite of my Lamb Chops and the flavors hit my tounge like a whiplash!!! Best Rack of lamb i ever tasted.Still remember it! And my girls? Forever on a diet 20 somethings cleaned their plates !!!! They both had the Salmon So straight up ,I want to shake Chefs hand and the service?Old school Italian everyone want you to be happy :-)“
“We came with a friend and got to try most of the items. For three people, we shared some appetizers —— the seeded bread (7/10), scallops 7.5/10, duck bun (6/10), bucatini (7.5/10).The entrees were much better than the appetizers. Got the halibut, bbq pork, and duck breast. All were delicious, but the duck was definitely the best. Would come back for the main courses. Mille feuille was good too, not picturedCocktails were not memorable. Interior was beautiful!“
“I had heard many praises of Fish Cheeks, so we made it our first stop in NYC last summer. We overlapped with happy hour so were able to get cheaper oysters and cocktails. The restaurant was bustling at 5pm on a Wednesday. The free shrimp crackers were tasty. The oysters were $18 for a dozen for happy hour. The oysters were not the best I've had, but they were decent and I enjoyed the Vietnamese toppings. The tongue and cheek cocktail was $11, normally $17. It was quite strong and had a nice lychee flavor. Definitely worth it for the happy hour price. The shrimp in 3 crab sauce was like a ceviche with the flavors of a spring roll. It was good but lacking some dimension. It was mostly sour, spicy, and soft, but could've used some crunch and savory. The calamari was mid, pretty thick breading and sweet sauce. The Zabb wings had a tangy powdered seasoning. They were pretty good but not amazing. The Prawn Karee had tasty gravy sauce. The prawns were big but there were 3 and they were a bit overcooked. The sauce was better than the prawns. The pork belly krapow had a good crispy texture. It was maybe a bit too salty, but overall I did like this dish. The steamed fish had a similar seasoning to the shrimp in 3 crab sauce. It was quite acidic -- could be more savory and spicy for my tastes. The fish was tender.Overall, I enjoyed trying a variety of dishes. The happy hour menu is worth it. Most of the dishes felt a bit one dimensional in flavor and could've packed a stronger punch, but I'm also just not a big fan of these types of flavors in general. I was glad most of it was not overly sweet, though! The restaurant is very pleasant and the service is good.“
“This is our second time at this location ( we ate at a Mermaid in the East Village). Great addition to fine dining in Times Square which seems inundated with fast food and chain restaurants. We're fish lovers and Mermaid has lots of delicious options — crudo, ceviche, oysters, clams for appetizers, lots of fish and non fish entrees. We had a tuna entree that was wonderful. We plan on returning. Highly recommend.“
“The place is nice, it smells like smoked food indoors which I don’t enjoy a lot but if you’re ok with that scent, the place is warm. A little snob, but maybe that’s the vibe they want to share around. We had reservation but it was delayed, and we couldn’t have a drink while we’re waiting. The food was tasty, but not crazy to wait for delays. However, the place is cute if you don’t mind those details. Some people of the staff, great, others a little snobby and not friendly. Extremely loud place too, if you like to have a conversation, it’s not the kind of place I would recommend. You should try it at least once to find out tho, maybe it’s fine for you. I like lively places but not the ones with such much noise that you can’t hear the person next to you.“
“BAR REVIEW ONLY. Came here recently Sunday afternoon close to their closing time but we were welcomed warmly regardless—decided to grab seats at the bar. The restaurant is nice and fancy looking, loved it!Started off with caviar—SO DELICIOUS!! We tried the Siberian Sturgeon ($75/25gr) and Classic Ostra ($95/25gr)—perfect portion for a light bite with drinks. Cocktails were great as well—highly recommend the “Caviar”tini—vodka martini with pomegranate jelly shaped to mimic caviar in the drink!Overall, service was AMAZING! Our bartender was friendly and attentive and made the best drinks!“
“Always nice coming back to this little gem. They upped their martini game with caviar bumps for which we applaud them. Other than that expect it to be full most of the prime time but you’ll get in if you put yourself on the waitlist.Suitable for a date or drinks with besties.“
“Last day in NY we had our launch here. It was suggested by many guides, so we came here with high expectations. The food was wonderful. We had a porterhouse shared in 2 and 2 menus with salad as a starter, sliced fillet and cheesecake at the end. The waiters are very nice and polite and make you feel very welcome. Strongly recommended if you love meat!“
“The Atmosphere is Always Excellent, Service is TOP Notch. Food is Amazing.Only fault that I can say is that.. trying to get in for a Dinner is Insane. Unfortunately they do Not Accept Reservations so you can come to the door & find out you have a 2+hrs wait. Talk about a Heart Break. But for Lunches it's ALWAYS a Homerun. I would recommend Taverna Kycklades to Anyone that asks me for a Top Notch Greek Meal.“
“Came here for a surprise birthday lunch. Menu: Shrimp head Shrimp Mushroom Fish with the bones (?) Snow Crab with Shiso Leaf Brussel Sprout with Seaweed(?) Scallop Snow pea & Baby Onion Flying fish Lotus Anago Tendon with miso Wasn't incredibly oily at the end of everything, I had a beer to go with my meal as a palette cleanser. Service was great, showed great attention to customers. Chefs were attentive, and notice when you want a good video shot at the whole frying process and try not to ruin your video. As a small extra birthday surprise, added a nice large strawberry with a mochi ice cream. Great experience, would love to try again someday.“
“This is a restaurant run by a lobster shop in Chelsea Market. There are many types of oysters, so it might be a good idea to use it as an oyster bar. It's a small shop, but the food is fresh and delicious. Also, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good.“
“We had the most delicious meal with cousins from Italy. Everything we had was cooked to perfection. Parmigiana, Wild Boar meatballs, the Piccola Cucina salad, Rigatoni with pesto, Tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, ravioli and all of the desserts. The service was impeccable. The wine list is very extensive. We had 2 great bottles of Etna Rossa. I can't wait to go back!!“
“Food was supreme here. I had the raw clams, fresh and presented well. Cocktail sauce was done with care. My main was spaghetti and clams in tomato sauce with arugula salad and a touch of spring onions, that was a very fine detail. The effort was notable in the food. Service could be more disciplined though, some staff prioritise chatting with each other over customer service. The dining room was tastefully decorated. Would love to come back but I live too far.“
“Bangkok Supper Club is undeniably the best Thai restaurant in NYC. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a cozy and warm atmosphere that sets the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. The host's warm welcome adds to the inviting ambiance, making you feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food--it's simply outstanding. I highly recommend trying the Lin Yang (beef tongue) grilled charcoal, a dish that bursts with flavor and tenderness. Another must-try is the octopus with fried onion, a delightful combination of textures and tastes that leave a lasting impression. What truly sets Bangkok Supper Club apart, though, is the exceptional service. I can confidently say it's the best I've ever experienced. The servers Pat are attentive, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of extraordinary. Overall, Bangkok Supper Club is a gem in NYC's culinary scene, offering not just incredible food but also a welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service that make every visit a delight.“
“Good food! Loved the grilled octopus and branzino -- a must try! Lobster pasta was tasty but it was a bit on the sweeter side; I would skip it next time. Focaccia was unique but I think it's a bit overhyped. Overall, service was friendly, food was good, and the ambiance was chill. I would definitely go back.“
“Found this late night gem after seeing Sweeny Todd at the theatre.Unfortunately, the kitchen was going to be closed in half an hour, so we only ordered the House Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Dumplings, and Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs. My only complaint is I wished we ordered more before the kitchen closed; it was all delicious!! ??The service was quick. Even the Jasmine tea served had a delicious flavour. We'll have to come back here the next time in NYC.“
“Food was delicious - especially the bread omg. Everything was al a carte. Came here straight from broadway- very close walking distance. Drinks were perfect and the staff was soo attentive.Vegetarian options: I’m vegetarian and are the Mac and cheese and broccoli side dishes. Other vegetarian options available“
“This restaurant was once awarded three Michelin stars for ten consecutive years and is also a representative of New York's fusion cuisine style. They primarily blend Japanese and French culinary elements to create an out-of-the-box and unforgettable dining experience. In 2023, due to disputes between the owner and the former chef, resulting in the departure of the ex-chef, they were removed from the Michelin three-star list, sparking considerable attention and comments from diners. From my recent dining experience at the restaurant, their removal from the Michelin three-star list does not imply that they no longer meet the standards of a Michelin three-star restaurant. Rather, it's because they are now operating as a "new restaurant" after reorganizing their chef team, which should be in a "grade pending" status. Personally, I feel that in the 2024 Michelin ratings, they have a very high chance of regaining Michelin star status, even if not immediately returning to three stars.Overall, this restaurant is highly suitable for diners interested in tasting fusion cuisine that blends elements from around the world, as well as for chefs in the food industry seeking new ideas. Additionally, the restaurant's service is excellent, even among fine dining establishments, as the staff seamlessly combine professionalism and friendliness. The dining environment in the restaurant is also excellent. Whether enjoying food preparation at the bar or having a more intimate dining experience at a table, both options provide a great experience. Here are some highlights of the restaurant's strengths:1. The seafood dishes at the restaurant are outstanding, with subtle seasoning that highlights the natural flavors of the seafood. Some small garnishes add a finishing touch to the dishes, akin to the layers of fragrance in perfume, leaving a memorable impression.2. The restaurant operates very efficiently, with each dish transitioning smoothly, akin to a symphony, where one movement ends and the next begins at the appropriate time.3. The service at the restaurant is excellent, with the staff knowledgeable about the dishes and beverages, smoothly and warmly introducing each dish, leaving a special impression on the diners.4. The desserts at the restaurant are delicious, whether it's pastries, ice cream, or fruit, all displaying creativity.5. The non-alcoholic drinks are excellent, providing a great option for those who do not enjoy alcohol.Furthermore, the restaurant may have some areas for improvement:1. The meat dishes at the restaurant seem to be less impressive than the seafood dishes, especially the wagyu beef dish, which is not cooked to perfection, failing to highlight the characteristics of wagyu beef.2. The sea urchin and waffle dish show great creativity in combining Asian and European ingredients. However, the waffle seems too soft and cannot effectively hold the uni; I almost dropped the uni while eating. Moreover, both the waffle and uni have a heavy sweet taste and soft texture, lacking impact. Perhaps replacing them with different bread and uni combinations would be better.3. While each seafood dish has excellent flavor, the seasoning and presentation seem somewhat repetitive, giving a sense of redundancy. Perhaps experimenting with more diverse elements and variations would be beneficial.4. The restaurant does not offer bread, a common feature in many European restaurants. Although bread may not be particularly expensive, I believe it is an essential part of French and many European restaurant cuisines. With bread, diners can dip it into the soup, creating a special dining experience and balancing the flavors of some heavier dishes. In conclusion, it was a very enjoyable dining experience. I hope the restaurant regains its Michelin star status in 2024 and continues to explore the path of fusion cuisine, breaking through the limitations of traditional rating systems and textbooks, and continuing to be a representative of New York cuisine and a unique restaurant in the world.“
“Big favorite! Against a backdrop of rock music, the tasting menu (which changes every week) takes us on a world tour: east coast oysters, kangaroo tartare, Japanese-style grilled fish, baba au rhum, tahini ice cream… One might think that it’s all over the place, but it actually forms an extremely coherent whole. The cuisine is modern and inspired, the service is casual but very professional. In short, Foexface Natural is one of the most exciting places at the moment. Run there so you can say you discovered it before their first Michelin star…“
“One of my favorite in k town. Suggestion: scallop, 2 pyungyang cold noodles and dry aged branzino for 2 people. Feel free to add a bowl of rice.Parking: Weekend is hard to find parking but weekdays are somewhat okay to find the spot near the restaurant.“
“Great food and staff went above and beyond for a special request. We jokingly asked if they could make onion rings for a friend at our table. We had the best onion rings ever, along with my favorite pork dish in a LONG time. Great night, don’t sleep on Gus’s.“
“The restaurant was so cute inside. Very comfortable and spacious. The waiter was very kind and encouraged us to have fun. A manager brought us over to the downstairs club towards the end of the night where my friends and I enjoyed some tequila lemon drop shots. The shots were literally the size of a cocktail. The food was quite tasty. The pork dumplings and shrimp wontons were scrumptious and the lobster toast was the highlight of the entire menu!“
“First of all, this is my second time appreciating the sushi sets! I specially love eating omakase, I had been tried a variety of place. But, at last I decided the best of this store, I could really taste the freshener of a variety of fish because I really can sense the brilliant through my tongue! Price are affordable in comparison of others. Environment brings good vibes. I definitely will back and back!“
“Wonderful experience all around. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive. It was very helpful when it came to suggesting pairings. The wine and cocktail list is great. The food was really excellent. I recommend the Amberjack and Hamachi collar. Dessert, we had the mezcal flan. 10s across the board.“
“amazing food. I recommend all my friends here. What I had the last time I went... App - Curry Puff - Thai dumpling Entree - Red curry beef - Khao soi nua Drink - Thai ice tea - Pi-lin (Mocktail) Dessert - Banana sticky rice You HAVE to try this place.“
“I celebrated my 60th birthday last night at Rocco's and what an amazing treat! From the restaurant manager who doesn't miss a single detail to the gentlemen servers who are all professionals with glowing personalities. We were provided with a dessert on the house so they could put a candle in it and sing to me. It was like listening to a well-trained Italian Quartet. The food was beyond reproach as were the drinks. I cannot wait to visit Rocco's again and would recommend to anyone in the area. The decor is wonderful and the attention from Vinny and his wonderful sense of humor only added to our wonderful evening.“
“A Korean restaurant I found by chance while traveling! The staff and owner are all very friendly and the food is so delicious!! After my first visit, I remembered the taste, so I visited again and ate it, and I think it tasted even better!!!!!Even after my trip, I will still think of Korean restaurants in New York!Thank you for the good food and good service :)“
“ngl good food and ambiance, but they charged an extra $10 to my card and never responded to my messages and email (they don’t have a phone number), so be careful and check your card statementsupdate: they got back to me after i wrote this review (1 star), so i’m bumping this back upupdate 2: i went back and wasn’t charged extra, the oysters are solid“
“I absolutely ADORED this place! I came here with my partner last weekend and I got the Shishito Smolder Margherita and she got the Clarified Cocktail Flight! Both were so mfing delish!!!! Such a cute atmosphere and so romantic. Not to mention the service was PHENOMENAL our server was so attentive and sweet and barely any wait at all. This is one of my new favorite bars in Manhattan and we will definitely be coming back!“
“Celebrated our anniversary at Sea Fire Grill and it exceeded our expectations! The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. A solid 10/10!“
“Mussette in Harlem is a wine bar that truly understands the art of hospitality. From the moment I stepped in, the customer service was stellar—attentive without being overbearing. The Women’s History wine flight they offer is not just unique but also a testament to their commitment to inclusivity and celebration of diversity in the wine world. And let's talk about their charcuterie boards—absolutely sublime! The selection of cheeses, dried fruit and nuts paired perfectly with the wines we chose. But what truly sets Mussette apart is the warmth and genuine passion of the staff. They made our evening unforgettable, offering insights and recommendations that enhanced our experience. If you're in Harlem and looking for a cozy spot with exceptional wine and hospitality, Mussette is the place to be.“
“It was an amazing experience that I give 5 ⭐️’s The menu was innovative and interesting and I love that the chef guides all the courses that come out of the kitchen. Being sea to table ensures the highest quality food and the technique from chef Daniel shines through in every dish. I will definitely be back!“
“Great vibe. Absolutely LOVE the jazz trio. Food tasted great. Portions are quite small for the price, and the steak was very especially grizzly, unfortunately. Very attentive and well trained staff. Lots of push upselling drinks on the drinks, and they brought bottle water we had to pay for despite asking for tap 3 times. Wonderful wine and cocktails menu. Overall I would recommend for special occasions.“
“We had dinner at White Olive Restaurant with my guests, the ambiance and decor are magnificent. The service was very good, Everything was on time, the cocktails and food are truly incredibly delicious, I can easily recommend this place to everyone, the menu prices are very reasonable.“
“Ocean Prime is a must if down in NYC. We had came for my wife’s birthday and had an amazing experience. Our serve Ripon was amazing and made great suggestions for drinks, entrees, and desert. He made sure my wife’s birthday was perfect. The food was amazing and the drinks were great too.“
“We ate well, good service, great location. We had dinner in the outdoor area which was obviously closed and heated by a fan but with the New York cold, despite the precautions taken, it is not the best and I would have preferred to stay inside. But still I recommend it for good food.“
“This is a super tasty food place, it makes me feel back in the days somewhere in Oaxaca. Dishes are very spicy, I love that but just letting you know, service was great, the place I would say it’s not like to hangout for too long but I feel it’s part of the concept.“
“Exquisite, brilliantly crafted cuisine. The best crab cake I've ever eaten, and I've had many. Seared scallops were perfectly cooked and gigantic, married to perfectly prepared pork belly, with crispy skin fronting luscious melt-in-mouth layers of fat and muscle beneath. Paradise!“
“Besides the fact that the service was excellent, from start to finish, the food was truly outstanding, beginning with a generous slab of parmesan cheese with bread at the beginning. I had the tomato soup, served piping hot as it should be, with melted cheese at the bottom of the bowl--wonderful touch! Had the Ramerino salad as a second course which was served with a light lemon/olive oil dressing--fantastic--followed by the spaghetti alla chitarra, which was great. The portions were generous throughout. If you like Italian food, you'll love this place--fresh, excellent ingredients beautifully prepared and plated.“
“I’ve been to Kyma a few times already and I always have a great time . First time I went on a Saturday night with a few friends and we had the time of our lives. The manager, Steve, was really nice and he made sure that we were having a good time. Yiannis, our server, had some great recommendation for food and drinks, but most importantly he was so pleasant and polite. We will def go back again.“
“what a sweet little spot! the staff were welcoming and friendly and the restaurant is gorg inside. we came for brunch and had the çilbir to share between 2 people, which comes with several sides. the meal was refreshing, light, and so, so tasty.“
“Ambience was wonderful, service was great, drinks were delicious, food was lackluster. Something was missing. We found a few dishes without the proper seasoning, needing salt or acid. There were highlights- risotto was perfect, agnolotti hit every mark. Nevertheless, it was a good visit and we would love to go back when in NYC again.“
“I came here with my family and we enjoyed the food immensely. I had the lomo saltado and it was so delicious. One of the best I have had. My husband had the fish fritters (chicarron de pescado) which was so tender and fresh and light. I highly recommend this restaurant. We also ordered a plain hamburger for one of my sons who is picky and it was made exactly as he wanted. My other son ordered a salmon which was grilled to perfection. The restaurant is family owned and everything is made fresh when you order. The service was friendly, too. I couldn't recommend it enough.“
