“Went here for a family special event and it was delicious. As a vegetarian, there weren't too too many veggie friendly dishes but there was mapo tofu (specifically requested) without meat. I've eaten a lot of mapo tofu and this was the best I think I've ever had - such amazing szechuan pepper flavor. Would go back just for that. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the little yogurt drinks they offered at the end of the meal were a hit. Would definitely go back and would definitely get the mapo tofu.Vegetarian options: Honestly, if you don't like szechuan style food this probably isn't the restaurant for you. If you do and you're a vegetarian you're probably very familiar with mapo tofu. If that's the case then you won't be disappointed. There are at least a couple more menu items that are/can be veggie but the mapo tofu alone will make it worth a trip.Parking: Across from a home depot = a big parking lot“
“Delicious and reasonably priced food. We went on Saturday at 6pm. You have to scan a code to be put on a wait list. This is very convenient because once scanned, you can see your progress in line. Initially, we were told we had a 20 minute wait, but we were seated only after 10 minutes. Service was quick and efficient. I think someone posted that the food came out a little too quickly. However, that worked for us because we had an 8pm show to get to anyways. We never felt rushed at all. For $100, we enjoyed 2 orders of pork soup dumplings, 1 order of pan fried pork dumplings, the sautéed bok choy, vegetable spring rolls, shumai, beef udon noodles, 2 beers, and 2 soft drinks. The food was fresh and very tasty. We will be back!“
“Service was much faster than I expected, but the food was even better. The pickled okra was delightful, just the right amount of crunch with plenty of garlic, chili's, and green onion. The changing chicken was dry fried with tons of chilies that dish is all protein, no brakes. Save room for the rice wine soup. I know it sounds odd, but was a great end to the meal. Cocktails are also great, but be sure to slow down and enjoy them!“
“Found this late night gem after seeing Sweeny Todd at the theatre.Unfortunately, the kitchen was going to be closed in half an hour, so we only ordered the House Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Dumplings, and Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs. My only complaint is I wished we ordered more before the kitchen closed; it was all delicious!! ??The service was quick. Even the Jasmine tea served had a delicious flavour. We'll have to come back here the next time in NYC.“
“Higly recommend for hong kong cuisine in midtown. I had the duck noodle soup. Soup base and noodles were good. The duck was okay so I probably try some other protein instead next time. They have hk style milk tea which really made me happy. The portuguese tart flaky pastry crust and the filling was really good.“
“We ordered the lower priced ($40/person) hot pot and sushi rolls option. They brought more food than we could ever eat! It was our first time there so we weren't quite sure what we were doing, but we had a great time and left very full. We'll definitely go back next time we're in NYC! Service was a bit slow at times, especially when wanting to get the check and pay. We were there early in the evening midweek and they weren't very crowded.“
“I ordered the soup dumplings, egg custard and congee. Everything was so amazing - some of the best dim sum I’ve had and at a great price. It came out super fast too. ??? definitely trying to get my friends to come here next time with me! Also the people here are “
“I gave this an energetic for noise because we were making all the noise. Good time had by group of long time friends enjoying an amazing dim sum lunch. Service was friendly, food was above average, menu was a bit smaller than most Chinatown dim sum menus but no one was lacking for something to eat. A delicious fun time had by all. We will be back.“
“Beautiful interior design, cute booths, ample space despite the relatively small store footprint. Lunch sets were excellent! We ordered 2 lunch sets + an extra main which is just right for two people with large appetites. The double cooked pork and spicy chicken were exceptional - honestly a quality I’d expect in China. The eggplant dish was a bit too sweet (and I’m from an area that eats sweet) but cooked just right otherwise. Ingredient quality was excellent. Highly recommend going for lunch!“
“The best place for reunions and chitchat in New York. They have plenty of reservations and it’s located in Chelsea, New York — close to everywhere.Loved my food and the dining experience there. Would recommend it if you want to catch up with friends and find an easy place to talk for hours!“
“I’m almost confused as to why there is such an authentic Cantonese spot that opened up in this location. Servers are all Cantonese. It’s as if they pulled the staff and the entire restaurant and just opened it on the uws. With that said, servers will be yelling to each other ? Been here twice now. Love the clay pot rice. And also the dining atmosphere is very nice, especially for a Cantonese restaurant. Good lighting, nice decor.“
“My favorite place to come after work feels like home my favorite is congee and pork belly over rice and the pork buns it’s all delicious try it for yourself.Vegetarian options: From steam dim sum Buddha delight, spicy mushroom dumplings to mixed mushroom noodle soup even vegetables spring rolls it’s all good to eat.Dietary restrictions: They have many options of food from vegetarian, vegan to carnivorous all can enjoyKid-friendliness: My kids love the pork buns from here they ask me to bring them home dailyWheelchair accessibility: Single floor no steps“
“Our experience at Hutong was simply outstanding. From the moment we walked in, everything was just right. The food was delicious and the service top-notch. If you're thinking about it, don't hesitate—just make the reservation. It's definitely worth the cost, and you won't be disappointed.“
“Amazing food for a great price. The shrimp dumplings were perfectly cooked. Hot and sour soup had just the right kick! For an entree, i highly recommend the sizzling seafood with garlic sauce. Service was friendly and efficient. Can't wait to return!“
“We had a WONDERFUL time at Mala Project this week. Our server, Kyle, was extremely helpful in recommending ‘must haves’ for our appetizers, dry pot and, of course, drinks. We planned for only a quick bite to eat, but the atmosphere was so welcoming, we ordered more drinks and hung out for a while. Highly recommend this restaurant!“
“Hao noodle not just provides noodles but some really authentic Chinese dishes like sautéed eggplant with garlic sauce; sautéed sole fish in clay pot; stir fried vermicelli with prawn in XO sauce which are hardly find in Chinatowns. Great environment and highly recommended this place.“
“I don't understand why people are so mad at this place for adding gratuity. The food is absolutely amazing and the two times I went we got it within 10 minutes. People are saying the service was bad too, but the waiters were nice and graceful when someone's order was messed up.Kid-friendliness: I went there with kids too and nothing special was done, not in a bad way. They were treated like actual people and not like incapable children. This was refreshing from the other restaurants that are like "and so what does your kid want"“
“I've been here 4 times in the past month now. The food slaps. Makes me feel like I'm back in Shanghai. Chef/owner is very welcoming and passionate about his food. The menu is a mix of authentic Shanghainese food and more mainstream NYC Chinese food. I recommend the pan fried dumplings (生煎吧), lions head meatballs (狮子头), and crab tofu (蟹粉豆腐). I love the warm and casual vibes and Baodega has definitely become my new neighborhood spot.“
“Dim Sum Chelsea is by far the best restaurant I've ever been to. The food quality is outstanding, with generous portions served promptly. I especially enjoyed the pork soup dumplings, chive and shrimp dumplings, and the Jumbo Shrimp with bean curd. The jumbo shrimp dish, in particular, is a must-try! Additionally, the service is impeccable, with servers who are incredibly friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Dim Sum Chelsea for a fantastic dining experience.“
“Dinner here was scrumptious. We never had fresher or tastier sashimi, not to mention great miso soup, salad and tea.. The staff is delightful and very attentive. Thank you for the wonderful experience & the sweet Valentine's Day rose!“
“Wandered in here at 2:30 in the morning when everything else was closed. Got the mapo tofu and some dumplings and it was fantastic. Service was great too. I have quite literally never left a review for any restaurant before, but had such a positive experience I wanted to spread the word.“
“Quick dinner! I got the shrimp dumplings with a count of 4. The shrimp dumplings were very juicy and good! For my main entree I got the low mein with pork. The pork was not good and not cooked very much long. It had many way too fatty pieces. Otherwise the restaurant is a 7/10. So it is average. There could be better restaurants than this.“
“Thought the food for the price was just ok. Spicy wontons came 4 to an order and were tiny wontons. Sauce was great..just a small order. Pork lunch was also a very small portion for the price. All in all, we feel this place is good…just not great“
“Excellent food. Really good prices (paid 60 for 2 with appetizer and beers).Atmosphere a bit noisy and the music unnecessary. Service was a bit rushed. But I would absolutely come back.PS: they blackmail you to leave a 5-star review by giving away free soy-milk drinks.“
“Went for lunar new year. It’s a pretty nice place with good service. We were given chinese new year themed keychains. They had a restaurant week menu that offered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees for $52 for 2 people. We got 2 restaurant week orders and family styled it. The portions were large and it was way more than enough food for 2 people. My favorite dish was the Grand Marnier prawns. They were huge shrimp battered and fried over lettuce, tomato, and walnuts topped with pineapple and a sweet white sauce. Sweet, rich, and delicious dish. The stir fried beef noodles which were savory and good. The noodles were soft and wide like the consistency of Thai noodles, and the dish was sufficiently beefy. The beef could’ve been juicier and tastier though. The king pao chicken was fine. The mouth watering chicken was good but spicy. That was over cucumber and topped with a sauce, peanuts, and scallions. We got 8 soup dumplings and they were tasty, the right warmth, and better than din tai fung. There was so much food that we took 2 entrees worth of food home. Very solid Chinese food overall, but it depends on the dish.“
“Nothing short of incredible! This is the best Pecking duck in Manhattan, maybe in the world. We come for the food and stay for the service - the service team is incredible and the management team is our favorite in NYC! They always go above and beyond to make us feel like family :)“
“Absolutely delicious. I stopped here after a doctor’s appointment before I had to train back home. They seated me quickly, and the food was quick. I ordered the fried duck dumplings, the steamed shrimp dumplings (not the shumai) and scallion pancake. The fried dough was crispy and savory, the duck filing was soft with some celery and veggies, and the shrimp had a remarkable flavor too. I also had a pot of rose tea. Brought home leftovers - absolutely coming back.“
“Ignore the negative reviews and just eat here! My husband and I were blown away with how quickly our food came out and the quality of food. We ordered dan dan noodles in peanut sauce and vinegar, crispy shredded beef, and dry pepper chicken, with a side of white rice and everything was SO good. We have been living in the neighborhood for the past 7 years but usually went to Chinatown for Chinese dinners and we both jokingly said we’ve been fools for doing that when we could have just eaten at Hui. We loved it here and can’t wait to come back and try their walnut shrimp. Oh and their happy hour deal is also a hidden gem.Run, wear your stretchy pants, and have one of the best Chinese meals of your life at Hui!“
“Dim Sum Garden, located in midtown, offered a pleasant dining experience. Although small in size, it provided a quieter atmosphere compared to larger Dim Sum restaurants. In addition to the standard offerings, they served their own unique dim sum selections. The service was good; they promptly replaced a dish that had a hair in it. As for pricing, it is the going rate. Overall, my experience was positive, and I would certainly revisit Dimsum Garden.“
“I have been coming to Pig Heaven for years. It’s one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in NYC. Everything I have had here is amazing! While I love their specialties, roast pork spare ribs and roast pork butt, their veggie dishes are equally fantastic. My go-to’s are their wonton soup, soup dumplings, prawns with broccoli, and roast pork fried rice.Service is fantastic! Mandy is “the mayor” she knows everyone and greets one with a warm welcome and attentive care. Everybody loves Mandy, she is the sweetest. Everyone who works here is kind, friendly, and helpful. You know the food is good when you eat a huge meal, but you’re also looking at everyone else’s plates for future inspiration.I’m grateful for Pig Heaven!!“
“Wow I have been missing out! This is going to be our new go to soup dumpling place in fort Lee!! We got the pork soup dumplings, sesame chicken and the fried rice!! Also the scallion pancakes!! We're talking about going back tomorrow for more. So good! Also service is quick and efficient! Will be back!“
“On a trip to NYC w our high schoolers on a class trip. Accommodated 30+ very well. Very spacious in back of restaurant. Nice decor yet comfortable, casual. Food was wonderful. They were very accommodating with my beef and pork allergy! Excellent authentic Chinese at a decent price.“
“Amazing, great quality dim sum that is surpassed by none. If you have the funds or the luck to try this place, I recommend to do so immediately. From the perfect crunchiness of the spring rolls to the rich creamy texture of the fried milk sticks, the flavors are second to none.“
“I really should have taken a picture but everything smelled so good! We went here after the Shen Yun performance to continue our experience and absolutely loved it! Highly recommend you get the pork and chives dumplings, three come per serving. We also got the jumbo shrimp with mango, the sauce was yummy!“
“Very nice newer place, the food tasted very good. The pork dumplings were very flavorful aswell as the shrimp spring rolls. The resteraunt was very clean and neat. The staff was very nice and the food came out quick. This is a good place to come for a quick meal.“
“Everything was perfect; food service and atmosphere. And less than $15 for a delicious vegetarian lunch! I asked the waiter if they could add some steamed tofu to the veggies, which they did for no additional charge! My friend had a beer, so hers was a bit more.“
“If you like good Szechuan, this is the place. The menu is vast and eclectic. I enjoy hot spicy food. Searching the menu I found "griddled shrimp" that's it, no other description. This poc from the post is what I got and I can't stop thinking about the next time. It wasn't the normal heat, it made my mouth tingle not on fire like other things do.When I told the waitresses how I felt about the meal she said that any protein can be substituted for the shrimp. It was one of the best things I've eaten.“
“We love the Tang. It's a slightly more upscale Chinese place that has a slightly more focused menu than the traditional Chinese restaurant. Our favorites are their spicy diced chicken and drunken noodle soup. I took my family here after their flight came in from SF since its close to my place, and they quickly became obsessed with it and insist on coming back every time they're in town. We dine in and get take out regularly.“
“First time at this location but I been to two other nan Xiang locations before. This place is quiet and the food here is solid. I ordered the pan fried dumplings which came with 6 for $10 and soy milk $3.50. Really love the soy milk here. It's not too sweet. The service here was fast and food came neatly in a red bag. This location is also very cozy. The pan fried dumplings didn't have the seared bottom like the other location. It was soft. The chili oil and vinegar goes very well with the dumplings though. The pork meat was juicy.“
“This is pure theatre. For the best experience, get involved and talk with your chef. Loads of fun!I'm docking one star because the cooking extractor didn't seem to work very well, and after the meal, all our clothes smelled strongly of hot cooking oil. “
“We had a delicious meal before the theater. It was recommended by a man walking out with take-out - he said he lives in the neighborhood and gets food from there often. We were not disappointed. Big portions and reasonable prices. Fast service.“
“The most underrated Chinese place in town! There's no way this place is 3.9 star, 1$.Decor is reasonably upscale, quick efficient service, and most importantly great food! Not any bit less than some of the Michelin places I've been to.“
“Placed delivery order, food was packaged nicely & taste great !! (Good portion size) They are open late which is a plus ! Vegan selections are separate on the menu which I appreciate. I would definitely order from them again. Loved it! Try them out...Enjoy“
“The dumplings are as good here as China Town. Bring 3-4 people and eat them all! I say at the bar and had Soup Dumplings, Shumai and Steamed Rice Roll with BBQ Pork… it’s like a Pork Bun without the Calories! Afternoon Happy Hour large Saki 1/2 price!!! If you’re in Gramacy, you don’t need to take the trip to China Town for excellent Dim Sum. Additionally, they have a Japanese Hibachi Table upstairs.“
“Went here on a cold February night. The place was lively when I walked in, employees were friendly. They were signs explaining the lack of siracha which I appreciated. I ordered a variety to taste including the dumpling soup, turnip cake, beef rice noodle rolls, Cantonese beef meatballs, noodles, and egg tarts. Everything was fairly priced considering it was dim sum and my order came out to about 50 dollars. My order came out quickly and all the food tasted excellent. The dumplings were tender, chewy, and soft. The meat was well flavored and soft. The turnip cake was my favorite, it was perfectly savory. The egg tarts were flaky and not too sweet. My only complaint is lack of seating options, however, overall I could not recommend it more.“
