“Tried Totowah Plus for the first time because of their all you can eat promotion and was really impressed. The price was reasonable and the food was very good. Even the non all you can eat menu items are well put together. The restaurant is clean and the staff are super friendly and attentive. I love going there for their small bites during their happy hour, which does include weekends! “We came at 5 PM on a Wednesday and it was calm and peaceful. The food tasted clean with a focus on the ingredients natural flavor. The chicken was fried very well and it's taste was fairly light with a hint of MSG. The galbi-jjim was tender and youll find yourself dipping it back in the sauce after each bite. Nothing was excessive in flavor which might be a downside for someone expecting heavy pocha style flavors. Even the kimchi wasn't too sour and had a crunch to it. It's unique and healthy, plus the place is gorgeous and a great place for a date.“

“We had a wonderful birthday dinner. They had some cute birthday confetti on the table and a birthday card which was a nice touch. The dumplings, beet salad, scallops, brussel sprouts,and stuffed shrimp were all delicious! The drinks were great. Dessert selection was nice - the lemon tart was fantastic. Loved listening to the live jazz band which raised the bar for the atmosphere. Will definitely return. High class restaurant with high class service!“

“One of the East Village's best kept secrets. This casual, chill restaurant consistently has the freshest and best selection of oysters in New York City at very fair prices, especially during their happy hour special.

The crabcake and tuna tartar appetizers are our favorites, as well as the cioppino and the branzino special (when they have it). Also the tuna entree is large and really delicious. I love the scallops here and the fettuccine with clams. To be fair, all the seafood here is amazing!

The space itself is not fancy looking and gives off the vibe as a hidden away spot, but certainly one loved by people who appreciate great food.

“I have to say for the small amount of food the prices are a bit high.
The calamares were good, but the cheese plate i wasn't happy with it. They gave me 3 very tiny thin slices of hard white cheese, 1 very small brie, 2 dry pieces of white bread, 1 dry piece of priciutto and what I mostly did not like was the 2 slices of mortadella meat. They could have given a better meat choice also instead of dry bread water crackers would be a better choice.
That's just cheap meat to me. Usually when I order a charcuterie plate I am satisfied. This was not satisfying.
My husband had the burger he said it was OK.
Nothing to brag about.
The Tin building inside has a nice vibe.
Other than that I felt like when I was in France. Very little food with high prices.

We visited Brooklyn again this year for the NYC marathon and low and behold, this place was only a few stops away on the subway. And I owed my hubs a lunch anywhere he wanted to go because I lost this year's NCAA basketball pool, so here we are. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. Nothing by our home compares to it. Oysters, lobster rolls, beer, friendly knowledgeable service. We hope to visit again soon. This is the best lunch we've had all year. ❤️❤️❤️“

“The hostess seemed to have difficulty locating our reservation, even after I spelled my name three times. It was a bit frustrating. The assistant hostess then bypassed the reservation check-in, which I later realized resulted in a no-show record for me, and led us to a table situated in the middle of the restaurant, which is a busy area for wait staff and guests. I kindly requested a table away from the main thoroughfare, which was available. It was puzzling why we were given the least desirable table, even with a reservation. Additionally, the tables are quite large, not ideal for an intimate dinner for two, as they resemble conference room tables. I believe they are approximately 40” x 40” — quite spacious. This setup makes it necessary to speak loudly across the table, which can be disruptive to neighboring tables. On a positive note, the food was excellent, the sommelier was wonderful, and the wait staff on the restaurant side was fantastic. It seems the main areas for improvement are with the hostesses and the table arrangements to better suit a romantic dining experience.“
