“Mermaid, whether this location or others, has really fresh and tasty seafood. This location is very convenient being off of (not in) Times Square. I love going there for their small bites during their happy hour, which does include weekends! They have far more than oysters and I love their clam chowder, raw fish dishes like tartar, and lobster knuckles.“

“Most amazing seafood. Go for happy hour. Get all the oysters. The lobster pasta made my husband weak in the knees. He won't stop talking about the olive brine Bloody Mary. THE BEST.“

“We came at 5 PM on a Wednesday and it was calm and peaceful. The food tasted clean with a focus on the ingredients natural flavor. The chicken was fried very well and it's taste was fairly light with a hint of MSG. The galbi-jjim was tender and youll find yourself dipping it back in the sauce after each bite. Nothing was excessive in flavor which might be a downside for someone expecting heavy pocha style flavors. Even the kimchi wasn't too sour and had a crunch to it. It's unique and healthy, plus the place is gorgeous and a great place for a date.“

“We had a wonderful birthday dinner. They had some cute birthday confetti on the table and a birthday card which was a nice touch. The dumplings, beet salad, scallops, brussel sprouts, and stuffed shrimp were all delicious! The drinks were great. Dessert selection was nice - the lemon tart was fantastic. Loved listening to the live jazz band which raised the bar for the atmosphere. Will definitely return. High class restaurant with high class service!“

“Came here for an anniversary dinner and had one of the best steaks I have ever had! Cooked exactly as I asked and came out at the perfect temperature. We had about 4 servers come out and help distribute food onto our plates and checked on us multiple times through the dinner“

“San Sabino in New York gets a solid 4 out of 5 from me. The food was tasty and fresh and compared to their sister restaurant is definitely more fish forward. I made a point to try some of their most popular dishes. The lobster ravioli was flavorful and well executed. The cheese appetizer was balanced and nicely presented, though I would probably pass on it next time. The star of the night was the spicy tuna appetizer, which really stood out in both flavor and texture. The decor is beautiful and creates a great atmosphere, and the service was friendly throughout the meal. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.“

“We came here for Valentine’s Day dinner and had a great experience overall. The food was delicious across the board, and the service was attentive and welcoming. Our only small note is that the portions felt a bit on the smaller side, but the quality and presentation were excellent.“

“We lived in nyc for 30 years. Recently moved to DE. God only knows how much we miss the nyc culture. Nothing holds a candle to it. Thank you Aaron for such a delightful lunch today at your restaurant. Best Manhattan I’ve had in a long long time! You were so attentive and accommodating. Service the best! Thank the kitchen for the great food also! Will be back soon with our nephew and his spouse!“

“One of the East Village's best kept secrets. This casual, chill restaurant consistently has the freshest and best selection of oysters in New York City at very fair prices, especially during their happy hour special.
The crabcake and tuna tartar appetizers are our favorites, as well as the cioppino and the branzino special (when they have it). Also the tuna entree is large and really delicious. I love the scallops here and the fettuccine with clams. To be fair, all the seafood here is amazing!
The space itself is not fancy looking and gives off the vibe as a hidden away spot, but certainly one loved by people who appreciate great food.
The staff is super sweet as well! Whenever I go, I feel like there's always a bunch of regulars who have also discovered how amazing this place is and sort of want to keep it a secret.“

“This is a magical spot. I’ve had dinner here twice, most recently for their Sunday Supper. The food was excellent across the board — in addition to the three courses included with the meal, we had the pearled barley with burrata and the bone marrow with mashed potatoes. The three of us couldn’t agree on what we loved the most. My personal favorites were the bone marrow and the chicken soup with cilantro and lime (would pay $$$$$ for that soup the next time I’m sick).
Don’t sleep on Ilis for a light dinner and drinks. Even if you’re not doing the full tasting menu, this place offers so much for you to try that you likely won't find anywhere else. As someone who has sat at the bar many times, I’d say that the cocktails are on par with bars like Maison Premiere and Please Don't Tell (all the drinks are excellent but don’t miss the Carajillo!). And the a la carte menu offers dishes that are consistently delicious and interesting. It’s a BEAUTIFUL restaurant that’s been meticulously crafted, and everyone who works here is really knowledgeable and friendly.“

“Friend who tried Cap’t Loui in Cape Cod highly recommended it when she saw it open in Sunnyside, Queens. Prices are good, so you don’t have to wait to treat yourself only on special occasions. The Capt’n Loui sauce boil was really good and 1 pound per person was very filling. The garlic noodles as a side was delicious, and we tried it dipped in the boil’s sauce, too. Service was spectacular. Minh Kha gave us his favorites as suggestions and cleaned up after us well. All of my favorite pop tunes were playing as well. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be back.“

“This restaurant honestly deserves more than one Michelin star!!!!
From the beautiful interior to the stunning plating, everything was amazing—and the food tasted absolutely heavenly. Even the word “luxury” feels too small for this place.
If anyone asks me for a Michelin restaurant recommendation in New York, this would be my number one pick without hesitation. For a special day with a special person, you really don’t need to think twice about where to go.
It was the happiest birthday meal I could have asked for, and one I’ll never forget.
I’m already trying to book another reservation soon. It was even better than I expected.“

“After a few visits, I can really endorse this place for top quality, fresh, well prepared seafood. I’ve had the salmon and branzino, the oysters and calamari, salad, clam chowder, warm fresh bread, and vegetables. The staff is always friendly and full of advice about the menu. Ambiance is cozy and low key yet classy enough for a Saturday night out. Even their restaurant week menu is high quality and top value, in keeping with the rest of the offerings. Also have midweek paella specials! Neighborhood favorite that’s really popular for their summer outdoor cafe.“

“Didn’t expect to find my best crispy pork belly of the year at a Thai spot!!! The skin was insanely crisp yet slightly chewy. The dipping sauce on the side was perfectly balanced.
For the main, we went with the panang short ribs. The beef was coated in a rich, mildly spicy curry. We added steamed veggies instead of rice and they fit curry.“

“I live up the street so I buy at the fish market more often. The prices no longer seem high once the fish is prepared and eaten. I wouldn’t know where to find better fish. Whole Foods is just ruined after this, you’ll never go back.
On the rare occasions I do eat in I enjoy it
A lot. Love the rice bowls and the oysters at the bar.“

“Had an outstanding dining experience at Estiatorio Milos Hudson Yards! Everything from the presentation to the flavors was absolutely top-tier — the seafood was incredibly fresh and prepared perfectly. The atmosphere felt elegant yet welcoming, making it perfect for a special night out. “Seafood pimps was the best decision I could had made to celebrate my 56th birthday. I decided to purchase the Nexf ix & Chill. First the presentation was SUPERB. The crabs, mussels and shrimp were FRESH and DELECTABLE. The vegetables were seasoned to perfection. least of them all the amount that you receive is enough to feed a full size family, and we only ordered for two. I will definitely be back. I recommend Seafood Pimps to anyone that enjoy fresh mouth watering seafood.“

“Cesar 11/22/25
The food was some of the best I have had, as someone who has done a great deal of the tasting menus in NYC, some multiple times. It rivaled Le Bernadin in the quality and creativity of seafood preparation. Some of the sauces were exquisite, especially the wagyu course which honestly I think should replace the quail. The mole was really special. My personal favorite courses were all the early ones. I thought the kamasu flavors were incredibly well balanced and the blue fin tuna Monaka was spectacularly beautiful and a little triumph in two bites. I loved the play on fish and chips and the sea urchin of course was one of the best things I have ever tasted. I think it could become iconic in the same way Ripert’s tuna tartare over foie gras is.
I have a few notes on ways to improve.
First of all, I think if you are doing a wine tasting that costs so much extra, the first three courses should have at least two different wines. We ran out of wine before the blue fin tuna, not realizing the glass for was two complete courses, a minor complaint. And if you have done the wine pairing, I would appreciate the names of the wines along with the courses when you are given the printed menu at the end. Again, just little gripes but these things matter to your guests. The wine pairings were lovely and I especially liked the two sakes. If you are paying extra for the Wagyu and the wine pairing, the Wagyu should come with that Bordeaux at no additional cost.
I wish that fewer supplements were offered. I think truffle shavings and the extra course are fine. But it’s a little overwhelming to be offered 5 supplements at the beginning of the meal and then have to decide where to spend more money.
While all the staff was incredibly thoughtful and kind I did find some of them to be somewhat robotic at times. Our head waiter must have said three times within the first 90 seconds the same phrase something along the lines of “Thank you for choosing to celebrate with us.” I just got the impression that maybe he was a little tired and running through the motions. And I understand that they have a tough job keeping track of all the guests and who is there for what reason. But at the end they brought us a small cake that said Happy Birthday, while we were there for our anniversary (which the card at our table said). It was totally fine and my husband and I laughed it off and wished each other happy birthday. But small details like that should definitely not be ignored when they go wrong. I thought the space itself lacked intimacy to be honest, but didn’t mind that so much.
I personally was completely underwhelmed by the ice cream soufflé. It was all style over substance. I preferred the palette cleanser for taste. It might be just my personal taste but I want ice cream to be thick, custardy and not icy and taste mostly like air…? 😂“
