“I was passing through New Jersey on my way back to queens and wanted something quick and filling to grab on the drive. This is a well known Korean chicken spot where there’s a lot of restaurants back where I live in ny. I was looking through their menu and saw they had a lot of other dishes aside from only chicken so I decided to try their k-toowoomba grilled chicken pasta and it was sooooo good I wish I got a second one to save for later!!!?and I also got buldak chicken and it also sooo good too. When I went to pick up my order the workers were super nice and friendly and it was just a great pit spot. I would definitely come back to try more of their other menus. So basically overall my experience here is superb cause my tummy was full and happy!!“

“Absolutely loved our dinner here. We didn't have a reservation so we walked-in. The place was full but they were kind enough to let us sit outside, and they provided hot water + blankets (excellent service +++). The fusion cuisine was very good and exciting (so different). “Nut allergy friendly: Nothing we had had any concerns. I don't think anything they use has nuts.

Wow. This probably ranks into my top 3 Korean restaurants in the US. It's a quaint shop from the outside that I almost walked by despite following directions, but it's packed with flavor.

We made a reservation two weeks ahead when they opened up and were promptly seated.

Order-to-Dishes: Roughly 13-19 mins for appetizers, 23 mins for sharable entrees.

For three people, we ordered:
-Kimchi (complimentary): Excellent. Great balance, not too acidic.
-Seafood Butter-Gui (5/5): An interesting Mediterranean feeling dish with the pita, but it blends the butter with delicious seafood and the perfect accompaniments to balance out each bite.
-Seafood Pancake (5/5): They manage to get squid or shrimp or mussels into each bite of the pancake. Stellar texture. Delicious balance with the chive and basil.
-Fried Soft Shell Crab (6/5): Holy smokes. Must order. Not sure how they fry this but it is excellently crispy and still fresh tasting at the same time.
-Fried Chicken (4.5/5): I give this a good rating for excellent portions. It's fried in a similar way as the soft shell crab. I think it was a bit weaker in texture but overall, still very good.
-Duck Bulgogi (4/5): While this was the weakest dish in my opinion, the duck was still very tender and flavorful. I think it should have been served with some rice or something other than beansprouts.
-Spicy Fish Stew (4/5): Went very well with rice, very tender fish and clams but not enough to share with 3 people.
-Seafood Japchae (5/5): The heck did they do to make this Japchae so good? The octopus perfectly balanced the Japchae texture and it's a great level of spice.

The quality of seafood was overall excellent.

With two drinks it came out to roughly $75/pp.
I'd definitely come back if only for the soft shell crab, and highly recommend.“

“I visited here for dinner on a Friday night. I highly recommend to have a reservation. Shim mi was our server, and she was great! I really loved the tuna tartare and the 8282 steak, and the yuzu matcha was nice as well.

“We went for a Friday dinner, and although it was just the two of us, we managed to try three dishes — and they were all fantastic!
* Soy Scallop with Gim Rice: The scallops were fresh and tender, with a delightful jelly-like texture, and the rice was perfectly soft and flavorful.
* Rose Tteokbokki: As a big fan of rice cakes, I loved this dish! The sauce was rich and complemented the rice cakes beautifully.
* Seoul Salon Fried Chicken: An absolute must-try! The chicken was juicy, with a crispy, thin coating that was just perfect.

“The FOOD is fabulous. Great flavor combinations, beautifully plated, unusual but tasty food, perfect portions. I loved everything we ordered.“

“My friend and I made a reservation for Gurumé at 7pm on a Saturday. I would recommend making a reservation if you are dining around this time, as it was packed! However, the crowd had dissipated by 8:30pm, so if you're looking for a later evening bite, it's definitely slower. I would also recommend not dining at peak hours because it was so loud. Decor is your average, upscale vibes, but the tables are really close together to maximize the amount of people in the space.

We ordered crispy corn and cheese ($14), oyster mushroom taco ($17), berkshire kimchi fried rice ($19), scallop crudo ($19), and pork & radish "bossam" ($19). We also ordered the black sesame bread pudding for dessert ($11). Overall, the food was flavored well and tasty. You're paying entree prices for appetizer portions, but it makes sense for the location. If I came back, I would skip the kimchi fried rice and scallop crudo. The fried rice was nothing special, and I have had better experiences with simpler ingredients; the scallop crudo was overpowered by the other flavors, losing the taste of the scallop. The bossam was so moist and juicy, with fantastic natural flavoring, though the other components did enhance the flavor. I would only recommend the corn if you are a corn lover and none of the other appetizers appeal to you. The mushroom taco had a great combination of flavors and the spice kick was mild. If you're a dessert person, the bread pudding was delectable, great black sesame flavor and the bread was also moist.

Service was outstanding. We were originally seated next to a large party, and they later moved us to a table further away where it was quieter. There were many checkbacks throughout the evening, and they definitely make you feel like you are valued as a customer. I would recommend Gurumé for a fancy night out and people in your party can talk loudly.“

It’s seriously one of the best versions I’ve ever had. And then there’s the Pyongyang cold noodles, which are refreshing, delicate, and incredibly well-balanced. The cold broth is light yet flavorful, and the noodles have just the right chew. If you’re craving authentic Korean flavors with a sophisticated twist, Moono should be at the top of your list. “A truly delightful dining experience with small plates that don’t disappoint. We particularly loved the tartare, with finely diced tomato and a well balanced ginger sesame dressing. It’s hard to believe that the words “great beet hummus” but trust me! Also the persimmon salad with yuzu yogurt - wow. We also really enjoyed the play on a bagel and cream cheese for dessert - very fun and a great punch of flavors with the homemade strawberry jam. Will def return!

“Went on a Wednesday night at around 7 PM and was super busy! Filled with mainly younger people and the vibe was extremely nice. We got the beef tartare, chapaguri fried rice, soy-glazed bossam, and the frozen makgeolli for dessert! Only got a picture of the beef tartare and chapaguri :(, but everything was good nonetheless.

We did find the garlic bossam a bit too oily for our liking but it was good and finished all our plates. The service was great - I noticed that there were probably a lot of reservations as servers were quick to clear off empty tables and set them up for the next guests. “Found this place by coincidence, but it turns out to be one of the best handroll places I visited in NYC. The restaurant is structured as bar seatings. Every handroll was made and served one.

The rice was well seasoned, and every roll was delicious. The menu was a bit limited, but that also makes it very simple and friendly for someone who doesn't know what to order on their first visit.

The price was moderate. If you are a fan of handrolls, you should give it a try.“

“Coqodaq in NYC was definitely buzzing — it’s not easy getting a reservation, we had to put our names in and wait around 2 hours for a table for two. The vibe inside is a unique blend of club and restaurant, giving it a lively, energetic atmosphere. We started with a delicious consommé that set a good tone, and I appreciated the selection of ban chan-style appetizers. But of course, the real star is the fried chicken, which Coqodaq is known for. The gochujang wings were the standout for me, packed with flavor and the perfect kick of spice. The other flavors, though, didn’t leave as much of an impression. Overall, I’d say it was a good experience, but I’m not entirely convinced it’s worth the hassle of scoring a table.
