“Really beautiful space with lovely food and great service. I was expecting a bit more from the food tbh for the price (not sure what though because I have no real complaint but it wasn't spectacular other than the mixed fritter appetizer which was the best tempura I've ever had). All in all 4.5 stars.“

“Our experience at Anjappar was great! This was my second time dining here. I would highly, highly recommend the kuttu parotta. They also made the best fried idli I’ve had in my life!! We also enjoyed the chicken chettinad and the kizhli parotta. The chicken chettinad was flavorful and not overwhelmingly spicy. Overall, I really enjoyed the food. This is now one of my go-to spots!“

“We had a WONDERFUL time at Mala Project this week. Our server, Kyle, was extremely helpful in recommending ‘must haves’ for our appetizers, dry pot and, of course, drinks. We planned for only a quick bite to eat, but the atmosphere was so welcoming, we ordered more drinks and hung out for a while. Highly recommend this restaurant!“

“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“

“The ambiance of the place, with cozy seating, set the stage for a delightful evening for aficionados of ramen. The ramen itself was a revelation: a steaming bowl brimming with uniquely rich, heartwarming broth, springy noodles, and an array of toppings that came together flawlessly.Prices were reasonable. Overall, it was a 5-star experience that I can't wait to repeat.“

“Came to NY for work and stumbled upon this GEM in downtown Brooklyn. Carlos is running an incredible Chef’s Table experience, better than any Michelin star restaurant I’ve been to in Chicago. My S.O and I had a romantic evening paired with hand picked wines from Carlos himself and an exceptional tasting menu. First time I left a fine dining experience FULL. The food was not only a work of art but an educational experience created with the highest quality ingredients available!“

“Great food, definitely worth coming here even if you are lukewarm about anime/dragon ball. If you are a dragon ball fan, then you definitely have to check this place out. Very cool theme restaurant. I have no complaints Service was very attentive and prompt. Very clean environment. Friendly atmosphere, we were welcome to stay longer to just sit and chat after eating.“

“Great place to eat. Friendly and big portions. I have tried most things and liked them but. My go to order is the Chicken Bimbap Bowl with Tiger Sauce. They are donating a portion of sales to Annandale Baseball on Monday 4/26 and Tuesday 4/27... Just mention Annandale at the register or in the "Special Instructions" when ordering online.“

“my partner and I love these noodles so much, we still make weekly Harlem trips to eat them, after moving to Queens. This was the meal we ate after we got engaged. “The 4.8 rating after 185 reviews made me question this restaurant. How could they have that high of a rating with such a large sample size. After going there I’m on the hunt to find those individuals that made this score not a perfect 5. Service was exceptional (especially when considering the normal pricing). Sushi quality was the best I’ve ever had in every food I ate (miso soup wasn’t too salty). Complimentary miso and a roll from the chef. There is not a single thing I could complain about and I look forward to giving this establishment as much business as possible.“

“Although the queue was quite fast, there were a lot of seats inside. My friend said that the appetizers included small yellow croaker, so I queued up. The tofu soup was honestly very good and affordable. The stone pot bibimbap had a stronger wine taste and the pickled crab was thinner. Compared with the price It's nothing“

“Some friends insisted I try Tiam Tiam. "You will love it and it's so close to your home." Words spoken by ppl that live 35 miles away ??♀️. Needless to say the food was so good! The fresh taste of the salmon was outrageous. The Taiwanese fried pork chop served w/cabbage and rice was so flavourful and juicy. It was as if I was in a private home. So many spices were used in the preparation it makes the pork chop a must try! Even though the trip was a 15 min circuitous journey it was so worth it. ?“

“4.5 overall. A decent sized place with a bar (no liquor license yet, but they're trying for it! BYOB until then) and games to play. Lots of metered street parking. There were 8 of us (a couple of us carpooled) and we did not have trouble finding parking. Since there were 8 of us, we were able to try almost all their dishes! The bathroom is large and beautifully decorated florally. Mimi (the co-owner with Chef Shane) was informative and attentive. She helped us decide portion sizing and answered any questions we had. The water comes infused with citrus, adding a refreshing taste. We all opted to get other drinks as well. I opted for the Calico Calpico. It was balanced with the sweetness of the calpico and salted rim. Did not taste much of the oolong tea, though that is a lighter flavor. Must gets: The Golden Crab Bao was loaded with tender snow crab stuffed into a crispy bun. The creme fraiche and yuzu tobiko add a lovely balance. The Roasted Bone Marrow came with soft toast. Gotta eat it quick while it's still hot! The marrow was delicious and went well with the toasty but soft bread. There is a little bit of meat still on the bone for those who enjoy gnawing on bone! The Fresno Gouda Cornbread had a nice kick from the jalapeno. Perfectly crispy outside and soft inside. The Chicken and Mochi Waffle is a great twist on a classic dish. The salty and sweet soy garlic maple syrup went well with the crispy chicken and toasty squishy mochi waffle bites. I love how shareable this dish since it's bite sized! The Rice Noodle Rolls were flavorful, soft and chewy. Just wish I wasn't so full by the time this came out. I would have eaten much more! If you love...then get: The Endives Salad is a little strong with the vinaigrette. It does help balance the bitterness of the endive, but only get if you love endives. The Stir-Fry Peashoots was a big portion! It stayed pipping hot and was flavorful. I love pea shoot and this is a great version. The Mala Tots have a strong tingly kick, which can be cooled down with the delicious dip. I just wish there was more dip! The Charcoal-Seared Scallops is buttery deliciousness. It was seared perfectly. The pickles helped balance the richness. The Pork Ribs were fall off the bone tender and had a good little kick from the gochujang. The melted mozzarella went well with the spice. The sweet potatoes are on the side. Can skip: The Milk Bread is a bit small in size. Wish they were bigger so I could really taste the fluffiness. The honey butter is a tasty addition though. The Salmon Seaweed Crisp is a decent portion size. Fresh seafood atop a crisp with the wasabi crema hidden beneath (which I couldn't really taste). The BLT Fried Rice was loaded with bacon and tobiko. It felt more like a sticky rice than fried rice, but that is probably from the baconnaise and soy-cured yolk. Not a texture I am expecting with fried rice. The Pork Belly Wrap had cripsy pork, a few pieces of lettuce (we requested more), a tasty peri-peri dip, and pork rinds that was break your teeth hard. Besides not being able to eat the pork rinds at all, the dish was forgettable. Desserts were hard to judge since we were so full and only had a bite: The Asian Pear Sorbet was chilled and sweet. Nicely presented. The Persimmon Cake Roll wasn't too sweet. Not memorable though. The Milk Tea Pudding was super sweet, but did have a strong bergamot flavor. It was a looser consistency than expected. Wet wipe given at the end, which is great for those who opt for their boil or burger (neither of which we ordered, but would be interested in trying!)“

“Went yesterday and truly enjoyed it. The ambience was great with lounge kind of set up and was very lively. The food had asian flavors and was tasty. The drinks were potent. Even the large formats were well done. The service was more casual and less professional to my taste but nothing wrong with it.“

“Where do I start…The hostess’s that seated us were so kind and helpful, they absolutely elevated our first impression of the restaurant! Our server, Junior, was attentive, patient, and answered any questions we had. On top of the incredible service, the atmosphere and food at Kuy are incredible. I will definitely be recommending this spot to others, and be back in the near future!“

“The food was delicious and the service was great. However, as we ordered way too much food, we barely ate the lamb and asked to have most of it to go. Unfortunately only when we got home, we realised that half of the dish was missing (all the vegetables and tortillas)“

“I came to this restaurant for dinner last night. Overall, I was not impressed and was even a little disappointed. In terms of service, I wanted to get help three times last night but could not find the waiter, and even when I waved, he did not come over to ask. I don’t understand if they had other things to deal with yesterday and were very busy, but when dining in, There were only three tables in the area where I ate. In terms of food, I learned about the Peking duck in this store from the xhs app. I went there for the Peking duck and hot stone wagyu. The wagyu was very thin. Yesterday’s waiter took a long time to fry it, and the wagyu was too thin. It started to roll up, so it wasn't heated evenly and was overcooked in the middle. Yesterday I ordered four dishes of Peking duck, sliced duck with pancake, lychee wood-smoked sliced duck, soup, and salt and pepper duck rack. The pancake was as thin as paper and elastic, which was very good. It was eaten wrapped with Peking duck and lychee. The wood smoke is very ordinary, there is no smell of lychee wood, it is just ordinary smoke. The soup is well made and not greasy at all. It also contains barley, yam and wolfberry. The most disappointing thing is the salt and pepper duck rack. I don’t know if the chef was in a hurry to cook it, but some were extremely salty and some were tasteless. I didn’t order wine yesterday, but ordered hot tea. I feel like this place is more suitable for a drink and a get-together. I can invite friends over for drinks next time, but the food still has a lot of room for improvement.“

“Very good rice balls, decent size, rice was chewy. Love that I can adjust the sugar for my HK milk tea to make it less sweet. The extremely spicy noodles wasn't too spicy, it's somewhere around a medium spicy, and make sure to add ginger sauce to the clay pot rice.“

“Good Korean food, best gamja tang I have had in the area. The stews are really good, and I love the kimchi here. This place is crowded often and really popular, so parking could be a problem as there is no parking lot and no ample space for parking in the area. Other than that, no complaints, price is also reasonable.“
“I ordered Chicken Bahn mi and It was good ?The only thing I was concerned about was that there were not many vegetables compared to other shops in Grand central and Boroplaza. The staff was kind and good.Kid-friendliness: If you get it for small kids ,You need to ask rnon spicy because cilantro sauce is spicy to kids. You can go with a stroller!“

“I order pickup here almost exclusively when craving sushi and it's definitely the best in the area. That said, some things on the menu just shouldn't be on there at all. If you're going for the first time the standouts are spicy girl roll, rockstar roll, firecracker shrimp app, and any of the classic sushi rolls.“

“I tried takeout from Lovin' Today, and I was pleasantly surprised. I've never tried vegan chorizo before, so I was kind of worried about whether I'd like it or not. It actually still had the same kind of spice of regular chorizo. To be honest, I didn't seem to notice that much of a difference between this vegan chorizo and regular chorizo. And they gave a lot of it in the taco as well, so I was happy with that. I also got brown rice as a side. It was a hearty portion size of rice. I got vegan naan bread, which tasted delicious and exactly like regular naan bread. I also loved that they sealed the boxes with tape with a drawn heart on it. It's a small detail, but it shows there was care put into putting my meal together. Overall, i was happy with my meal, and I would definitely order from them again.“

“Ban Ban Shop is a very cute fusion restaurant that opened across from Columbia University that serves a banh mi, baos, rice bowls, maki rolls, and grain bowls. 3.5 stars: I was very excited to try the banh mi here, but was lowkey disappointed. I ordered the Five Spice Roasted Pork Banh Mi. Don't get me wrong, the pork is very well seasoned/marinated and tender. Unfortunately, the baguette here is too soft, and the oil from the pork does seep through. The key to a good banh mi is the baguette - light on the inside with a thin and crispy crust. You'll know the baguette is good when the roof of your mouth gets destroyed by the time you finish it.“

The kitchen was open view, which allowed the viewing of the entire prep process.I had akamaru shinaji and my wife had shiromaru motoaji. “This is a cozy Thai restaurant with lovely decor I decided to check out. The food here is very authentic and also very high quality. We tried several items - chicken satay, curry puffs, tom yum soup, duck wrap, and the basil chicken. Everything tasted very fresh and flavorful, with the curry puffs standing out as probably the best selection. The staff was also very friendly and constantly checked up on us. In my opinion, this place and Arunee are the best Thai places in Jackson Heights.“

“Writing this for their takeout, I ordered from Uber Eats and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with how well everything came packaged and how the sashimi platter was so thoughtfully plated with edible flowers, shiso leaves, and the other garnishes that normally come with sashimi platters. I’ve done sushi takeout from other restaurants and Phoshimi stands out with the quality of their fish and overall presentation. I also got the pho ga which was delicious and hit the spot for soup on a cold day! Love the concept of a pho plus sushi restaurant - cuz sometimes you just want both!“

“I love this spot! The maki lunch special is just an unbeatable deal. The service is great, since the spot is pretty small the staff is just a few people but they are very well attentive. I think the ambiance may put some off because the store clearly makes most their business through delivery orders--there is a desktop taking orders in the front when you come in and really only enough room to comfortably sit 4, maybe 6 people maximum. Despite that I would really urge you to give the spot a chance.“

“Ordered takeout, didn’t eat in. Fantastic and very authentic. Here’s a tip, if they have jellyfish on the menu, it’s a real Chinese restaurant. And if you’ve never have jellyfish, just remember, at one time sushi was new and nobody in NY would eat raw fish … until they tried it. So try the jellyfish.“

“Ok and here we go I am part of an aircrew staying at the Lincoln Harbour Sheraton and wanted some non hotel restaurant food for a change. We tried Hi So, not knowing what to expect. We walked into the most basic and bare looking restaurant I have been to in many years (do not let this put you off) and took a table for 3! The girl on the front desk was very friendly and took our orders. We all had different starters and main courses! when they came, you could tell they had been made fresh and not half pre pared and actually really hot (which is not my experience in most restaurants I have tried in America) I don’t have enough space to talk about what we got but suffice to say it was all exceptionally good! In fact it was so good that we have eaten there 3 times now. Do not let the appearance of this restaurant put you off. Everything we tried on all 3 visits was better than anything we tried in this area and trust me, we eat out every night. Price range compared with all the other restaurants in this area is fantastic. They even allow you to take your own wine or beers and supply you with the glasses and cork screw. We now stay at weehawken on a regular basis and I will definitely be going back to Hi So Thai. Stars out of 5? I would give 6 if you are willing to look past the very basic sitting arrangements. Give this place a go. You will be happily surprised and there is something on the menu for everyone.“
