Exactly what you expect when you picture a diner. No frills, cheap, and exceptionally average food. It gets the job done, with the kind of gritty atmosphere you’d expect from a place that’s been serving neighborhood regulars for years.

I had the cheeseburger, while the person next to me was chowing down on chicken parm and spaghetti. The cheeseburger tasted like it came straight out of the freezer. It reminded me of the kind I used to get at the bowling alley as a kid.

10/10 recommend. Will return.“

“Popped in for a latte (first time) and it was delicious! They were out of almond milk, so the barista recommended I try macadamia... and I'm glad he did! It was very good. Hamlet made the list of neighborhood cafés I would continue to visit.“

“This place is the best! Good coffee with delectable and generously-sized baked goods! Both babkas are delicious but I prefer the Nutella. The cinnamon buns are massive and cookies are amazing when they’re fresh. Also fun finds and knick knacks to browse while you wait. Love it here!“

“Love this local wine bar! Great wine options with natural wine that actually tastes good. Some tasty bites as well. The indoor vibe is really cozy and welcoming and of course on nice days the outdoor space is perfect.

“Farm to people offered CSA quality produce and so much more in their first delivery to me. I ordered a produce box and a fruit box, plus proteins and everything was super fresh, minimally packaged and flavorful. I love the option of being able to switch out items in your produce box subscription. I spent here about 2/3 of what I would spend in the grocery stores on Manhattan. I'm looking forward to my next box already.“

“Truly the best high quality coffee shop in the neighborhood and personally my favorite in the whole city (very high bar!).
In the city full of world class roasters (Sey, La Cabra, Canyon, etc.) I find Ben’s bean selection more interesting than most of the above. And what’s even more important, shots are consistently perfectly dialed in and exceptionally well served.

“Excellent little Cafe tucked away on a side street in Brooklyn. Run by two delightful sisters. Food was awesome and the Cappuccino. The Waffles I had were amazing with homemade batter. Definitely on my new spot of must stops in Bushwick.“

“This is the best coffee shop in the neighborhood. The staff (shout out Elvis) is incredibly kind and make you feel like the only customer they've ever known. He comes to my dog's birthday parties if that tells you anything. The shop is clean yet dog friendly, small but warm and sunny. The food is INCREDIBLE. I could drink a small swimming pool of their lemonade. Just go - get a biscuit. Or a sandwich. Or a banan bread. I could go on and on.“

“One of the best breakfast spots in Park Slope. The food is consistently fresh, portions are generous, and it has that relaxed neighborhood atmosphere that makes it perfect for a weekend breakfast or brunch.

My favorite is definitely the Eggs Benedict — always satisfying, well prepared, and one of those dishes I keep ordering instead of trying something new. They have plenty of other great breakfast options too, but the Benedict keeps bringing me back.

“I had the bulgogi banh mi and it was delicious. Crusty bread, nicely seasoned beef, and fresh, crispy vegetables. The Thai iced tea wasn’t made with the sugary syrup you find in most places - it was sooo good. Unfortunately I don’t live in the area but if I find myself there again I’ll definitely visit.“

“Enso has the best coffee in the neighborhood and probably some of the best in NYC! Their speciality coffees are unreal -- I got the cold brew cloud and an orange spice latte. The cafe space is beautifully decorated and has wifi if you need a space for working/writing. The baristas were incredible and seemed very knowledgable about the craft of coffee and tea.“

“I came to this coffee shop in Brooklyn just to have a cup of coffee. I’m not in Paris—I’m in New York. I lived in Paris for seven years, and for the first time in my life, I felt like I had traveled back to Paris just by being here.

“I passed this place for 3 years, assuming that it was just an efficient subway-adjacent spot. I popped in during a frigid December day and was delightfully surprised by the warmth and character of the space and the neighborly interactions between the baristas and customers. The drip coffee was great and the cookies delicious. The small space is a model of efficiency - it was fascinating to watch the three workers negotiate a tiny workspace and a steady crowd with ease. I've added this spot to my rotation of morning coffee spots.“

“Met up with a friend here to catch up, and it was a solid spot for an easy weekend bite. I grabbed their iced cold matcha alongside the double sausage sandwich with everything on it, and honestly, both delivered. The sandwich is hearty, flavorful, and seriously filling—one serving is more than enough to keep you fueled. The front area runs a bit tight, but there are a few tables tucked in the back where you can sit down and take your time. Top it off with warm, accommodating staff, and it’s an easy neighborhood cafe to keep in rotation.“

“The food here is excellent. The service here is great. Been here several times. The Roasted Salmon Plate , Welcome to Miami smoothies and there coffee is great. It was comfortable lounge seats and smooth music. Very relaxing environment!

They always ask you if you have any allergies. Very delicious and healthy selections !

“Went to the brand new Houston location and things are a bit rocky with staffing and supplies but I want to brag on your employee CAMILLA ! We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. U had no idea that my Morning started out so crappy, and your sweet personality and loving spirit really turned my day around and the tres leches latte was AMAZING 🙌🏼🩷💯 yall go see them and be patient …..it’s worth the wait ❤️ side note… the whole place is decorated beautifully! “I love this place so much- I love seeing locals coming together, and I appreciate all the hard work that stuff put in. Still, I think locals, especially those who have reading nights, could’ve been more appreciative of the place and the staff, ordered more drinks, and left more tips while they occupied the whole space for over 3 hours. We should really make this place go and thrive because we don’t have many in the area.“

“Five Leaves is a great cafe, we were after a solid brunch spot and it hit the spot perfectly. We ordered full breakfasts and the food was fantastic, the coffee was great too.

We sat outside and it was lovely on a sunny day, would definitely recommend.“
