“I’ve been there 2 times and both times the service was great. The food is delicious. I tried one of their ramen and from the train I tried 1 white, 1 blue and 1 orange dish and all three were delicious. The price is very good, very affordable, with $14 I ate 12 rolls (3 different flavors). The ambiance is good, quiet as a restaurant inside the mall allows, but it's located at a corner from everything, so it's quieter.

“My partner found a hidden gem in Williamsburg. We tried the seasonal omakase set. The fish was fresh, each piece was delicious. Also, enjoyed that when each piece came out, the hostess would show us a photo of the fish we’re eating. Chef Leo is really knowledgeable with the food, so don’t be afraid to ask for information. Will definitely come back!“

“Fantastic speakeasy sushi joint. Very small, no more than an handful of people may join the omasake style bar where 3 talented (and cool) chefs serve you the best crafted sushi you can get. Definitely going back soon.“

“We had a great experience and I think the sushi chef is just a bit awkward but everything tasted amazing. The biggest thing I want to note is that my boyfriend has a shellfish allergy as we noted on the reservation. They were aware of it but were not aware uni counts as shellfish so just made sure to be attentive here if you have the allergy. I would have also preferred if the chef switched gloves for this reason but it was ultimately fine. The unagi and banana was such a memorable dish.

Dietary restrictions: If you have a shellfish allergy, they will happily replace it with another piece of nigiri.“

“Hole in the wall sushi spot. It’s a small and cozy spot in the LES. The size allows you to enjoy the food and chefs on a personal level. I also genuinely have not had fresher fish than here, every piece was mind blowing, the fact that it’s only $68 for 12 pieces! I’m so impressed and I truly can’t recommend it enough. Better than any Michelin I’ve ever had! Also if you love uni like I do, it’s a must.“

“Absolutely loved our experience yesterday. The basic omakase was delicious at $38, no hidden charges, and staff were lovely. Only slightly minor quibble was everything seemed a bit rushed and a little less peaceful than other places I've been to, but fair enough at that price. I was also a bit surprised at the rudeness of a customer talking on her phone when the staff were trying to engage her. That's not the restaurant's fault but maybe worth having a sign about using phones less and being in the moment more?!“

“I recently had the omakase at Kaki, and it was an amazing experience! For $75, you get 15 delicious bites, each crafted with care and attention to detail. The quality was top-notch, and every piece was flavorful and fresh.

One highlight is that they offer free house sake with your meal, which was a great complement to the sushi. On top of that, the restaurant accepts BYOD, making it even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the food was so good that I’ll definitely be coming back for more!“

Favorites include shaved truffle over toro (sublime), buttery hamachi, amazing amberjack, and their signature caviar/uni/toro over milkbread (heaven in one bite). “My favorite omakase place in the city! I feel so lucky that Takeda is in our neighborhood. The high quality dishes are always presented beautifully, and each time we go, we'd be surprised by some special offerings that are so delicious but that we have never tried before (e.g., tiny white shrimp). Chef Takeda and his staff are always friendly, professional, and very informative with each dish that they serve; they'll share the specific prefecture from which the fish is from, and other information such as the season for the fish, and whether they aged it and for how long etc. The environment is calming and you don't hear any outside noise, so we could focus entirely on the culinary experience, and I love that! It is an intimate setting and I thoroughly enjoy watching Chef Takeda craft each dish with meticulous precision. It's definitely a treat to come here!“

Dishes we tried included the caviar dumplings (juicy, wonderfully contrasting flavors, fantastic sauce) short ribs (falliing-off-the- bone tender) and great hand rollls and unagi don. Things got a little busy, and they came up to apologize for unagi main dish being delayed, and plated a free roll. Not necessary, not sought, but appreciated. Even the synthetic maple tree, with its foliage forward orange leaves, looked great.“

“I had a fantastic dinner here early on a Saturday evening. I opted for the Premium offering and it was absolutely worth it.

I was really impressed with the creativity in the dishes. Particularly the style of the rice and the use of acidic elements like pickles.

This menu also includes a truly diabolical nigiri with Wagyu, truffle and uni. Truly insane in the best way.
