“My daughter chose this for a birthday dinner. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic. Audrey was our server. She was extremely knowledgeable of the menu, made great recommendations, she was there when we needed her without being there too often. I would highly recommend Rosella Sushi. Can’t wait to get back to New York City and return for a meal here. It also makes it extra cool when Chef Jeff is wearing a Florida Gator hat!“

I decided to treat myself to celebrate the end of my doctorate program. It was a totally spontaneous decision, so I didn’t spend much time choosing a place. I opened Resy, typed “sushi midtown,” picked one of the top-rated spots, and honestly—I’m so glad I chose Sushi Yolo.

The food was great, but what really made the night special was Alex, the host. He was incredibly attentive and welcoming. I ended up having such a fun and meaningful conversation with him and another guest, Jerry—which is rare for me since I don’t usually talk to strangers. We talked about all kinds of things, and the vibe was just so easy and genuine.

Alex also kept pouring complimentary sake on the house, which was such a generous and thoughtful touch. This is one of those nights I’ll definitely remember—the atmosphere, the food, the conversations, and the company.

“I am a frequent guest at the Nami Nori Williamsburg location, and unfortunately tonight's visit was not a positive experience for my group. I brought a new guest to the restaurant, and she did not have an enjoyable time. She was asked to move her bag even though the bar hooks was not suitable for hanging it, and later, we felt rushed out of the space. While I understand that the restaurant may need to accommodate other parties, the venue was fairly empty, and it was very cold outside. After paying for our meal, we were finishing our conversation when we were asked to collect our coats, which added to the feeling of being pushed out. In the future, it would be helpful to communicate any dining time limits at the beginning of the experience rather than at the end. As a loyal supporter of this location, this visit felt disappointing and not aligned with the standard I've come to expect and recommend to my community.“

The experience is intimate, with seating for about 10-12 in front of the chefs, but with tables in the back as well for a la carte dining. We were seated next to friendly folks so instantly had a fun connection during dinner and the staff was extremely attentive and professional throughout. The seafood was unbelievably fresh and delicious. My personal favorites were the O'Toro and the King Salmon but the Nigiri was up there as were all the tuna options. In short - all SO GOOD. “This was our 3rd time going to the Times Square Sushi by Bou. It's omakase, meaning that the chef prepares and chooses each course. This restaurant is very small; 8 seats at a counter. But it's a great experience. The chefs will chat with you, explain what they are serving (the fish, the toppings and additions which enhance the flavor). Every time we've been, the experience has been great. And sharing the experience with your fellow patrons is very nice. It's comfortable. The fish are very freah, everything is delicious, You can have a flight of sake or wine or other spirits. I had a non alcoholic yuzu lemonade. It's in the basement of the Sanctuary Hotel. So small you might miss the entrance the first time. But it is well worth the visit. And if I haven't already said it the service is great and the staff are very welcoming. Highly recommend.“

“Overall food was fine. I really enjoyed my crazy Cali roll, but the chu-toro scallion and the salmon avocado rolls missed the mark for me. The lychee tini was yummy! Service was alright, I was seated quickly and I didn't have to wait long for my food. However, there was some waiting after I was done eating. After I indicated that I was done with my food and the plates were taken away, it was maybe another 25min before I was finally able to ask my server for the check.“

Their 14 course Omakase is only $49.00 without drinks and includes delicious pieces with wagyu, caviar, truffle, and foie gras. Definitely make a reservation if you’re dining on the weekend.“

“A conveyer beltesque all you can eat sushi spot in flatiron. Was not very packed during lunch, dishes came out pretty quickly. The cute robot brought over water, place is pretty spotless.

You can order 4 items at a time on the tablet, which will be delivered on the top level of belts from the prep station behind a curtain. The sushi are good proportion though not great quality. Tried a variety of dishes like ramen, miso soup, katsu, salads and handrolls. Was stuffed at the 1hr mark, well worth the price.“

“First I saw the little beings in the edge of the window. Then, above them, bulbs that looked like rocks, floating mid air, dimmed, perfect✨
I wasn’t sure it was still open but my Joshua went on to see if we could have a little dessert at this Japanese haven-the answer was yes 🙌🏻
From the whimsically intentional decor, to the atmosphere that filled the room, the warmth and wonder was everywhere. And we were the only two people in there. Just a few sashimis and then one Kumamoto oyster for me. What a delight! Their fish was exquisite-just as the exuberant expression of when you’re feeling elated “fresh as a fish” goes. The oyster balanced originality with tradition in a complex, yet accessible unraveling to the palette, where your mind can find each of the ingredients meet each other and dance. The creaminess of Kumamoto really allows interesting alloys because of its texture. As I am writing all this, I do remember one more texture. The texture of the rim of the tea cups they served us a delicious Oolang in. Not only it looks like its own little ceramic pastry, but when you would bring it to your lips-Oh! What a triumph of design. Not only it tasted serenely warm, but it felt so luxurious on the lips-even a bit osé if I may 😋
The owner stayed with us after closing, telling us about how him and his wife open this gem in Greenpoint some time ago & how much love and precision they put into it. You can see their eye in every little corner of the place. From wonder to smiles, my eyes wandered softly the whole time we were there. How LUCKY 🍀 we were to have been in a place of excellence. Where taste met design, where they swayed along with sweetness & wits, creating a unique corner for you to feel what is the symbiosis of yin and yang ✨🙌🏻🍃✨🍂🪁🙏🏻

“Delightful! We were in early after a day of hoofing all over mid-town. We were greeted by our server and seated immediately (like I said, It was early) but un-rushed as we reviewed our options. We both ordered sushi-sashimi combinations as well as gyoza to keep it light. All excellent! The fish was so fresh and perfectly sliced/prepared. An avocado green salad was crisp, fresh and more than enough. The gyoza was obviously made with care, moist and tender. My wine accompaniment rounded out our meal. Our server was charming and helpful“
