“I've been coming here for almost 20 years, mostly for lunch. The food is consistently good and they get you in and out quickly, which is great, though it can get packed during the lunch hour depending on the day.
The main reason I'm a regular is the staff. They know me by name and are just genuinely nice people who look out for their customers. I eat gluten-free, and they are always careful with it. On the rare occasion something came out wrong, they didn't just fix it—they actually remade it and personally delivered it.
It's a solid, reliable spot whether you're meeting someone for business or just grabbing a quick bite with a friend. Good food, fair lunch prices, and a team that actually cares.“

“Takeout food is always done quickly and comes piping hot and fresh. Owner is always kind at checkout. More limited menu than your standard Chinese takeout place but I can assure you the flavor is perfect! We love the beef lo mein, tempura shrimp, gyoza, spring rolls, egg rolls, and sweet and sour chicken. It’s our go to for Chinese takeout and I love that it’s small, locally owned, neighborhood mom and pop shop!“

“Timothy was absolutely amazing! He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. The Kung Pao Shrimp was delicious, with the perfect balance of flavor and spice, and the Crab Wontons were a great addition, crispy, flavorful, and really satisfying. Timothy’s customer service made the meal even better. He was attentive, welcoming, and made sure everything was just right. Great food and great service at Pei Wei!“

“I’ve been at this location before, it’s never been too busy on weekdays for dinner. I’ve always had great service from host to server. Today Jessica truly made the experience so smooth, the food was amazing. I get the pepper steak and was able to try the ahi crispy rice appetizer! Chefs kiss. Will be returning.“

“We just had a very nice dinning experience at this restaurant in Montrose. Jane was very attentive and nice. Overall all the staff were great and the food was delicious! The drinks were a ok, but they did their best to please us. Over all great neighborhood place to eat chinese food. Prices are reasonable, but of course with the drinks it can get a bit pricey.“

Came here for my birthday for lunch and all I have to say is I will be returning ,Dumplings , Apple rose lychee tea, stir fry noodles and Mongolian beef is what I ordered and I can’t express how satisfying it was! “The environment of this restaurant is very clean and tidy, and the service attitude is also very good. There are many dishes to choose from, the taste is great, and the price is reasonable. It is very suitable for dinner with family and friends. I have bought it back many times, and I didn't step on the mine every time I came. “Let me start with the reservation first. So I was originally trying to book the other place (their competitor around the area iykyk) at first and I called 3 weeks in advance but they asked me to call back a week before my planned date. But for some reasons they didn’t allow me to make a reservation for the weekend because of the World Cup. I was low key mad but then I found Midnight Kabob. I called and they took my big party reservation.
We came here to celebrate my birthday on Sunday. We had a large group around 15 people. The food was amazing and the server was amazing! We all had a great time here. I would definitely come back!“

“You have to try their pan-fried soup dumplings! I’m beyond impressed. The wrapper is nice and thin, with a perfectly crispy bottom and juicy, flavorful pork filling. The portion is on the smaller side, and it’s a little pricey, but the quality definitely makes up for it. Overall, I really enjoyed them and will definitely be coming back again!“

“Went here with my cousin today, the food was absolutely delicious. The portions were very generous! You start with a chicken dish (we got medium spice/size) and it was more than enough for two people to share. The flavor was phenomenal. I particularly liked the onions. After you finish your first dish, they come by and fill your bowl with chicken broth, turning it into a delicious hot pot. All sides you can add on are generous as well. Overall, wonderful experience. We will be coming back for sure!“

“Really cute little spot with fantastic Chinese food specializing with Chinese chilis. I had the spicy fried chicken and their spicy wontons.
The fried chicken was excellent, really crispy while not being oily at all. The breading to chicken ratio was also very nice and the fresh herbs on top really brought balance to the dish.
The wontons were also dressed very nicely with extra garlic (which I love) and chili crisp, and the skins were thin while maintaining its structure.
I was really pleasantly surprised to find such an authentic spot in Houston! Reminds me of home.

“OH MY GOODNESS. If anyone is familiar with the 6 Star Chinese restaurant that used to be near UofH and looked like a Pizza Hut. That place had the absolute best magnolia beef. I was bummed when they closed it down and years later I was on the lookout for the same flavor. Every restaurant failed to achieve the same flavor and spice.
I’m now here to say this place achieved it and I cannot believe it. I will be back. I just bought lunch from here, and I’ll be back the same day to pick up dinner.“

“It’s our first time eating here and we love the atmosphere and specially the food. Our waitress is very kind, accommodating and she knows the menu well. We celebrated Father’s Day here with our youngest son the foods and the service exceed our expectation. This restaurant is highly recommended and definitely will be back.“
