“The place is beautiful. I appreciate that they enforce the dress code, which is what I like to see in a restaurant like this. Every staff member was so nice. Our particular servers in the smaller dining area, were great. Very knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. The bartenders deserve recognition as well for the fast and friendly service. I regret that i haven’t tried this restaurant before but i will definitely be back.“

“Na, the server was authentic, kind, knowledgeable, and funny. She ensured that we enjoyed the entire experience. Hull & Oak’s food was delicious and the environment was beautiful. The shrimp and grits were absolutely scrumptious as well as the potatoes. “Worth the wait! We arrived about 15 minutes before opening and joined the line. The line was almost an hour to get inside, but once we did, we were greeted by friendly staff and a handwritten daily menu. The staff offered samples and cuts of fresh brisket as we moved through to order. We tried a little bit of everything, and it was outstanding. My wife loved the sides (served family-style for sharing), and I loved the ribs and brisket. This is a must-do if you love barbecue and are in Houston!“

“My first time at La Lucha was memorable. The atmosphere is small and intimate with good service and our waitress was so patient and kind. I had the shrimp tacos and chicken. They were so good! Next time we are in Houston, we will stop by La Lucha“

“Excellent service, a real presentation of the food, all courses. I did restaurant week, but most at my table ordered off regular menu. The desserts were not as good as they sounded, but the entrees were great. A little heavy on the salt, but otherwise good. My family lived the Paella, and the beef medallions were rich and the appetizers of fried asparagus and a mix were good, but my favorite was the shrimp cocktail. Would get that again. We were in a private room for 8, and we had an excellent time. Valet is necessary, but I felt good about parking.“

“In town for business and stopped by for Sunday brunch solo. The live music was amazing, great atmosphere and the food was good. My waiter was busy behind the bar so not as attentive but since I was chilling it didn't matter much. The host at the door has excellent customer service so I will definitely return!“

“This restaurant needs to be in your rotation. Love the frozen lemon drop and deviled eggs. Chicken bites had the perfect Seasoning and crunch and whatever that sauce is OMG! The southwest egg rolls are to die for. Cedric and JD are a great pair. Service was top notch, decor was clean and welcoming. Fair prices on everything especially during happy hour. Can't wait to go back with friends.“

“I had an excellent experience at Doves Restaurant. The food was outstanding from start to finish. I ordered the ribeye, collard greens, and gumbo, and everything was flavorful and well-prepared. Each dish felt thoughtfully made, and nothing disappointed.
The overall experience matched the quality of the food. The staff were friendly, engaging, and very helpful throughout the visit, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable.
The restroom was very clean, which I always appreciate. It is set up as unisex, with one stall designated for gentlemen, designed without a toilet seat, likely to maintain cleanliness and reduce mess. Parking is handled by valet next door for $20, which is convenient but something to keep in mind.
Overall, I would definitely return for both the food and the service“

“The staff was great and made ordering very easy over the weekend. I had ordered with Nadia in the morning and a couple different gentlemen in the evening for dinner.
It was especially convenient having the restaurant located in the lobby for quick meals in the mornings, or after long afternoons.
I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone staying at the Whitehall Houston.“

“We were in town for a show and everything was fantastic. The staff was kind and accommodating, the beer was ice cold, and the food was delicious. Victoria was our server and she took great care of us. Our group had Taquitos, the carne discada, a BLT salad, carne asada, creamed corn, mac and cheese, red beans and rice, and a few desserts — everything was delicious but I’ll say, my favorite part was the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. What a delightful treat!“

“We flew from Pensacola FL and had to visit. When I saw EVERYTHING was on point and delicious. Staff was so friendly, food was hot & fresh and I have NEVER had better tasting food from a restaurant. I normally can’t say everything was good when I visit a new place. We can on Saturday and again this morning before our flight. See y’all soon ??❤️“
