“My favorite Mexican food in Salt Lake City. I don’t get to go very often but when I’m in town I never miss it. Love it.“

“Mi Buena Vida offers a fantastic dining experience. The mole on the carnitas enchiladas was a standout dish, rich in flavor and perfectly complementing the tender meat. The fish tacos were equally impressive, and the margaritas were incredible!

We also enjoyed the Frida salad for a lighter option. Don't forget to check out the homemade salsa bar! The staff's professionalism is top-notch, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable dining atmosphere.

I highly recommend Mi Buena Vida. It truly deserves 5 stars!“

“Grand opening specials and delicious food keep us coming back twice in a week now. It is located next to a local Target, so they have a great position to succeed with the flow of traffic and a large parking lot. I hope these specials remain the same or similar, the food economy needs places like this! Food should be affordable and tasty. You guys do both, excellent job.“

“Forgive my photos, we were starving and dug right in 😂 We just had a great lunch at Guisados Home Style Mexican Cooking. I'm already dreaming about the next time we can go back! 😍 We ordered the mole, bistec, kids carne quesadilla, and guac. We couldn't finish it all and get to eat it again which is the best part LOL. I was intrigued by their combination platters and if we hadn't come to try the mole specifically we would have gotten one. We will definitely try them next time (large quantities for family style dining). I loved the bright colorful napkins keeping my tortillas warm 💛“

“👍👍👍👍👍Had a terrific lunch here on Monday (6/23/25). Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Food was great. Not your regular Mexican dishes, more like Mexican with a unique twist! I had the Quesabirria (kind of like a quesadilla)and Ashly had the Birria Stew. We each chose lamb for the meat. These were made well, delicious and beautifully presented. Using lamb and the Birria style gave everything a unique, delightful flavor! It was a perfect afternoon for eating outside, too.“

“I recently visited La Cevicheria in Salt Lake City, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! If you're a fan of fresh, delicious ceviche, this is the place to go. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of tanginess and spice. Every bite tasted incredibly fresh, and the portion sizes were generous.

The service was also top-notch. Our waiter, Jordan, was awesome—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. He made sure we were well taken care of and even gave us great recommendations on the menu. His enthusiasm added to the overall vibe of the place.

“Best Mexican food in town! I've heard this neighborhood can be dicey but it was perfectly safe and the mole is out of this world!!! The food is authentic, fresh, and amazingly flavorful. The service was very friendly and the food came very quickly and at the proper temperature. The soup is also wonderful. This hole-in-the wall is a real find! My husband and I will return often.“

“This is a small, family ran and owned business. They are so inviting and excited to have you there. The owner took very good care of our table. Food was delicious and authentic! I got the posole, it had a good amount of meat and packed with flavor! I got my kids some carne asada, and the asada was so flavorful. My mom got the lengua tacos, they were soft and delicious! They also had a variety of house made salsas, and they were all delicious and paired very well with the food! Can't wait to go back!

Parking: Small parking lot. But it is a small place so doesn't need anything bigger.

Kid-friendliness: My kids enjoyed the asada tacos, beans, rice, and quesadillas. And the chips and salsa, of course.“

“I would recommend Chubby’s Mexican restaurant to anyone! It’s definitely locally owned in a small business, but I think that’s also what makes it so great! They have amazing staff who truly care that you have a great experience! And they make sure that you are well taken care of!

My favorite dish there is it’s gonna be the combination plate where I can get a mix of different items from enchiladas to soft tacos to hard tacos. You can’t go wrong. I definitely recommend for people to go out and just give it a try.“

“This was my first time trying Costa Vida and I absolutely loved it! The sweet pork had the perfect flavor that matched the spicy sauces. The workers were kind but also really fast and efficient! My bowl was ready in like 30 seconds! In addition, the building was very clean and looked a lot fancier than a fast food restaurant should. I’m glad that I decided to munch some lunch here.“

“This used to be the BEST Betos in the state and they have gone downhill in the last few months.
They advertise that they are open 24/7 but that is not true.
Also, the last few times we've gotten the carne asada burritos and they have basically given us fatty pieces of leftover steak. 😒 Why would we pay good money to eat nothing but gristle? 🤢
What sucks is that we really like the people that work there but this place needs to step it up before they get shut down.
The ONLY reason we've gone there is bc of the friendly service and what used to be amazing food.
If the owners of this establishment actually care to listen, perhaps you need to step it up. You need to make some HUGE changes unless you're good with no one frequenting your business.
For the prices you charge, we EXPECT the quality that we used to get.

“The best vegetarian (veggie) burrito I've had for as long as I can remember. Oftentimes, people just throw some unseasoned veggies and beans into a tortilla and call it good but this veggie burrito was so flavorful and the tortilla was delicious. Can't wait to get this again!“

“Delicious 😋 I have very limited understanding of Mexican Food especially for street vendors. And usually I can see the pictures on a menu and decide if it’s for me but that was sort of limited here. But The lovely lady gave me a recommendation and walked me through the ingredients in order to see if there was anything I didn’t like and for me that would be cabbage. Long story short I walked away with an awesome burrito 🌯. About the only bad thing I would say is the atmosphere it’s in a parking lot next to a Taco Bell and the homeless. The Food truck could be newer looking but these are just nick picks. Other than that I highly recommend you go and give this place a try. You’ll be glad you did!! 😁“

Seriously, BEST CHIPS (& dips - all free). An old staple for us until a issue with offensive chef.

The Tex/ tex-American menu is awesome - the food always is TERRIFIC & filling in nice setting.

Update: We have eaten here dozens of times and it's so good! The salsa has changed over the years and is not quite the same, even the stuff in the squeeze bottle. The Chile rellenos are always a hit, but the peppers were not cleaned out well and had a ton of seeds, so that wasn't as good as it has been in the past. Their enchiladas are amazing though!“

“The Lady that runs the food truck is amazing. She was barely open when I arrived today. I let her know that I wasn’t in a rush. I ordered 5 steak tacos for $15 with taxes. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this place.“
