“Immediately greeted with a smile and the type of hospitality a family or friend would give you. The food was delicious. We ordered the dynamite shrimp, lemongrass pork with noodle and beef bulgogi with rice. I also got the mango passionfruit juice with lychee jelly. Everything was amazing! 10/10 would recommend.“

Clearly, everyone has found out about it because it's busier every time I go—and I almost always run into someone I know. But there's still plenty of seating. Located in a corner of the street the place was easy to find, they have indoor and limited outdoor seating options, very friendly staff.

“Sefton is the greatest cafe in richmond, the staff are so kind to everyone who comes in. I get the same thing every time I come in to the point where barista’s and the owners know my order 😂. I get it bc it’s easy on my stomach, but they have such an amazing looking menu and are always changing it to fit the season! I always make sure to bring friends and family who are visiting here because it really is a special part of the community 🙂“

I’m always in the mood for all-day breakfast items when I’m on a work trip, so I tried the pork sausage, egg and cheese on sourdough toast, and a delicious latte. Food and coffee were outstanding. It’s obvious the staff puts care in the prep of every sandwich. The toast was toasted perfectly with the right amount of crunch, eggs were lightly seasoned with pepper before whisking, and the cheese was nice and “melty”. Get your order “for here” , and Chill to the beats of new and old school jams while you enjoy this little local gem.“

“Absolutely loved Coalescence Coffee! The atmosphere is so welcoming and the coffee was amazing. You can tell they really care about the quality of everything they serve. “This cafe feels like the type of place where you can sit alone without feeling awkward. I came in around 4 PM with headphones and a book, and nobody bothered me even though I stayed quite a while. The hazelnut latte was smooth and not burnt tasting like some coffee shops nearby. I also liked that they kept the music at a normal volume. The only small issue was one chair near my table being shaky, but a staff member swapped it out after noticing me adjusting it repeatedly. Thoughtful service overall.“

“Honestly, it was in a pretty good spot. In the VCU college area it was definitely quite nice on the inside. It had a vibe of its own, not too bright, not too dark, but just the right amount of light I enjoyed a Yemen latte an I was not disappointed at all I can see myself coming back over and over again and the prices aren’t outrageous if you drink Starbucks coffee if you’re close by, stop in. You’ll keep coming back.“

“What's not to love about Stir Crazy? It's the ideal coffee shop. Nice, friendly neighborhood sort of place on MacArthur, very popular with all ages and for good reasons. The best thing about the place is the staff, they are just the greatest, every single one of them. I can't say enough good things about them. I'm a retired old fogey and I go there a lot; I am very comfortable there.“

When i was there there was only one employee to do everything so was a lil slow but thats ok that is trade off in a small local shop. Clearlh tje place was decorated head to toe with love. “I was told these were the best biscuits in the world. Early Bird did not disappoint. I’m from out of state, just visiting.

I got their “biscuit of the day”, which was topped with bacon and a sweet maple glaze. It was heavenly. Ate the whole thing without a sip of my coffee. It was so buttery-soft and moist. 10/10 would recommend. Total was like $8, great deal.

Also enjoyed their antique decor, especially their uranium glass. So cool!“

“I bought some Dark as Dark from the grocery store! My wife likes dark roast! She usually uses a creamer. I drink mine black! This has to be the smoothest dark roast I have ever tried! I usually end up with a bitter aftertaste with the dark roasts I have tried so far. Not with this. We bought a grinder thinking that may be the problem but even with fresh beans lots of dark roasts still give that bitter aftertaste. This is tasty all the way through! I’ll be buying this from now on and I like the fact that we will be supporting a Va business as well. We will have to try out one of your locations in Richmond some time!“

“I ran across the Maple Street Biscuit Company quite by accident. Great breakfast place! The menu is well laid out and the food is very tasty. This is a fast casual set up with orders taken at the counter and you are given a number. Food comes out quick. Things that standout are the vegetarian mushroom gravy, iced coffee on tap right next to the sweet and unsweetened tea, and the strawberry short cake. My only problem is there is not one in the Raleigh area. Message to management: COME TO RALEIGH! I am looking forward to my next visit.“
