“This place is so unassuming but so great! The staff we spoke to were lovely, so welcoming, and gave great recommendations. Such amazing flavours and everything tastes so fresh. The tofu lemongrass noodle bowl is delicious. The lemongrass pork banh mi is also fantastic. We had the peach tea and strawberry lemonade and took the advice to add bobas and lychee jelly.
Good portions - enough to be full but not so much that it feels wasted. Good prices too. We will be coming back to try more things!“

“I had the Atlantic omelette and I was so impressed. It truly had lump crab and lobster in the omelette some omelettes when you deal with seafood are skimpy with the crab and lobster, but hands-down Lulu was one of the best and their omelette was truly well done sometimes omelettes are not cooked all the way through. It was just an amazing experience for me, I was thoroughly impressed. I will be coming back lol 😂 I saw 👀 the chicken and red velvet waffles!“

“Front counter staff is friendly and quick and if you've been there, you've likely met the owner, Olaf. He takes great care of his guests. The place is super clean with tons of seating. Clearly, everyone has found out about it because it's busier every time I go—and I almost always run into someone I know. But there's still plenty of seating. High-quality coffee and food, great atmosphere, and you're supporting a local small business.“

“Sefton is the greatest cafe in richmond, the staff are so kind to everyone who comes in. I get the same thing every time I come in to the point where barista’s and the owners know my order 😂. I get it bc it’s easy on my stomach, but they have such an amazing looking menu and are always changing it to fit the season! I always make sure to bring friends and family who are visiting here because it really is a special part of the community 🙂“

“Hands down the best breakfast potatoes I’ve had in a looooooooong time, plus everyone in our group (kids included) liked everything they got. They’ve only been open for a few weeks, which you can tell from the friendly, but rather disjointed service. It’s awesome to have options other than popsicle and hot dog trucks along this part of the river.“

I’m always in the mood for all-day breakfast items when I’m on a work trip, so I tried the pork sausage, egg and cheese on sourdough toast, and a delicious latte. Food and coffee were outstanding. It’s obvious the staff puts care in the prep of every sandwich. The toast was toasted perfectly with the right amount of crunch, eggs were lightly seasoned with pepper before whisking, and the cheese was nice and “melty”. A ton of the places around here use microwave eggs or other shortcuts - not here. I also ordered an Arnold Palmer and watched the very kind woman at the counter squeeze the lemons fresh right there. So excited to have this option in downtown now!“
