“Come with me to Italy… by way of Ventura, CA!I was looking for a brunch spot in downtown Ventura and Immigrant Son Caffe had rave reviews (so much it was voted the 5th best brunch spot in the United States!). They’re known for their breakfast lasagna, brunch cocktails, and rotating seasonal menu. I opted for the Italian Chopped Salad, Deviled Eggs, and Traditional Breakfast which was really good! One of the things I loved about this place is their portions. They were perfect (not too small or big) and there wasn’t room for any leftovers. The vibe check passed with flying colors and I loved all the old school decor from Italy. Our waiter was extremely nice and attentive (go Keegan!).SAVE this restaurant for the next time you’re driving up the coast and looking for a great spot to stop and enjoy some good food!”
“This was my first time trying Nepalese Cuisine and I LOVED it! I ordered the Dal Bhat Tarkari (Chicken). Everything tasted amazing and was full of flavor. I also ordered a Masala Chai that was delicious. The staff was friendly and courteous. I will definitely be going back again.”
“Truly one of a kind restaurant. This place is an experience, and you're lucky if you get to eat here. The food is amazing. Bread and charcuterie is outstanding, the pasta blows my mind. Great wine selection. Extremely attentive service. Hard not to love everything about this place.”
“Pete's Breakfast House is a classic breakfast and lunch restaurant. It offers delicious, fresh food made with high-quality ingredients. There is a wide variety of food on the menu, including American breakfast and Mexican food. Sandwiches and pancakes are also available. We came to this restaurant by recommendation from my husband's parents. We noticed that our favorite TV food show Guy Fieri's photo was hanging on the wall. I liked the pancake roll the best and I highly recommend it.”
“While I was doing Uber, I found myself in Ventura around lunchtime and stumbled upon a restaurant that served calamari, so I just had to stop! I was warmly greeted by a friendly waitress named Blanca, who recommended some delicious items from the menu. Unfortunately, I only had time to grab my calamari to go. But after devouring it, I can't wait to come back! Oh, and let's not forget about the amazing bread and butter - absolutely delightful. Yes sir, you'll definitely see me again!”

“Loaded pancakes. Epic omelettes. Delicious mimosas. What more could you want? Oh, and the biscuits are killer too!! A little pricey, but Possibly the best brunch spot in all of a Ventura. GO NOW!”
“We were off to a slow start-was the chef on break? But with an appetizer on the house, nice service, and a desire to eat Saag Paneer I waited. The Saag Paneer was full of flavor albeit I wish I had gotten it spicy not Medium. The Chicken vindaloo was good but not inspiring. The garlic naan good but it's usually fool proof. The complimentary rice pudding was light and the cardamom apparent. Good service except for food taking a while.”
“Great option of sitting up on their deck. Double check hours it’s open before you go. W tippers next door you can’t beat the great local vibe to hang out and enjoy the drink and food.”

“It was very windy so outside seating was not as good as we have previously experienced. The service was good and food and drinks arrived on time. My date had the sea bass and it was good but not great. A little underseasoned. My hanger steak was very good and cooked just right at medium rare. Wine selections were very good, waiter didn't know much about them but I was pleased with what we got. Parking in the area is always a problem.”
“Best Thai in town. We used to go to rice by mama but found moons Thai and now it's our go to. If you want better dine in experience for the atmosphere then mama's is better but moons flavor can't be beat. And the Thai chili on the tables is amazing.”
“Popped by on our way to the wild flowers. Tatiana is lovely, coffees were great, and I found a piece of art by a local artist (and customer) to bring home with me. Empanadas were delicious, too! This will be on our list of stops any time we are down this way! Thanks, Tatiana!”

“When I went it was during a very busy time and there was only two people running the shop. But I have to say the food hair was pretty terrific. If you're looking for a reasonably priced flavor packed meal, I would stop here. I don't think you could really go wrong with any of the meals here to be honest. Chutney was flavorful, the Masala Dolsa was crispy but with some fluff and packed with onions (which was a lovely surprise) and it honestly made me regret not ordering two plates.”

“Amazing place. We happened to be here while driving back home from Santa Monica. Service is good, food is top notch. The girl at the counter is super friendly and offers great choice too. We ordered aloo paratha, aloo tiki chat, bowl combo which had rice and lamb curry and also took a portion of chicken tikka masala and 2 garlic butter naan. Came to around $65 plus some taxes. Worth every cent. Love the vibes here. Seems they started the place just 5 years back but going strong.”
“Best milk stout I’ve ever had! We ordered lots of food (sausage/cheese dough balls, pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad, fries, snack plate) and it was all delicious! I also really liked the kombucha!”

“One of the best vegan spots to exist ever. The green, blue, white V for international vegan pride flag greets you as you walk in. Plenty of beautiful mosaic tiled seating inside and also outside with a grassy area for the kids and pups. Appreciate the photos of top dishes, all 100% vegan, and with some gluten free options such as corn tortillas. We love love loved the homey deliciousness of our huevos ranchers of Mexican rice, beans, and corn tortilla with vegan eggs and salsa along with our soyrizo breakfast burrito with potatoes, salsa, vegan cheese. Above all, we were happy for the quality and caring customer service from Luis and Lalo who greeted and assisted us with kindness and care. Many thanks to all who run this amazing beacon for vegan food in Ventura County and all of SoCal. Can also take our tasty made with love vegan food to go to enjoy at the beach next time. Will return again and again and share this wonderful place with all.”
“Lots of options for different meats. I love trying different ones. It's not a big place but I've always found seating. Very clean. They should be getting a liquor license soon.”
“I will literally drive thirty minutes for the juggernaut smoothie. 10/10 fantastic, all around. Really nice people, great vibe, and just such good juices and drinks. They also have a rewards system I just learned about! Please come to Santa Barbara too!”
“We started our honeymoon off by having breakfast here, and we were so glad we found this place, because everything all the way down to the preserves was made homemade. Nothing compares to homemade.”

“A fabulous time and place to go, these people who own and work there put their heart and soul into the atmosphere and Greek cultural experience for the patron. The food is fantastic, drinks are plentiful and not watered down. Belly dancing Greek dancing and authentic Greek music. Kid's love it, Family oriented old world experience that I imagine won't last too much longer, so go experience it while you are able, and it is still available”
“I'm a blogger and I usually post everything to instagram. So patiently waiting out downtown Ventura has become my specialty lol Finally a calmer day here at the Trust. We only got a drink then we needed to be on our way. I see why this place is so popular! Is spacious yet small. Feels very classy inside. You almost forget where you are while inside which is awesome. Definitely need to come back to try out the food and hopefully more rum cocktails make the menu”
“Brewery sits on a pier and looks out at the ocean. There is a beach playground just below if you have kids that you can let them run around at. Food is served on level 1 and beer on level 2. Beer that we sampled was okay. It was nice to drink out on their patio with a view of the Pacific Ocean.”
Outdoor Dining
“Absolutely wonderful. Everything was fresh and delicious. Nothing was too sweet. The lovely lady at the counter happily walked me through the day’s selection. She said it changed every day. Everything looked incredible, it was hard to choose. We ended up with a raspberry and chocolate twist, a pineapple strudel, a croissant breakfast sandwich, a mocha and a cold brew. The twist and the strudel were perfectly fruity, flaky and soft. The sandwich was freshly made with ham, eggs and cheese. The pistachio croissant was heavenly. Perfectly crusty and flaky, a light pistachio pastry cream in the center, covered in crushed pistachios and sugar, without being overly sweet.Cannot wait to come back and try more.”

“I could eat here everyday. Every sandwich so far has been delicious. My whole family loves it too. They're so fast with the orders, and the workers are nice. It's a total hole in the wall kind of place, small but perfect.”
“Loaded pancakes. Epic omelettes. Delicious mimosas. What more could you want? Oh, and the biscuits are killer too!! A little pricey, but Possibly the best brunch spot in all of a Ventura. GO NOW!”
“I loved this place from the moment I walked in. The staff was very kind and polite. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. I definitely recommend this place to study, meet with a friend or just to get some delicious coffee. I just wish they stayed open until 6 or 7pm.”
“Hands down, best fish tacos my wife and I ever had. Huge tacos LOADED with fish. I get the battered and my wife gets the grilled and both are amazing. Locally owned, the delightful owners truly care about putting a quality product in front of you. Gorgeous presentation and oh-so- flavorful! And the beans and rice, not your typical refrieds, but a delicious white bean and jasmine rice, incredible! They even make their own blue corn tortillas. Nothing else in Ventura can match these fish tacos. You must give them a try!”

“Absolutely delicious ?I'm a huge connoisseur of Acai and this place met all of my taste and quality standards. The cold press juice is not only healthy but insanely delicious as well. Highly recommend.”
“Rocks and Drams in downtown Ventura exceeded all expectations! Located on California Street, just south of Main Street, this hidden gem stands out with its bright exterior and inviting signage. Once inside, you're greeted with a sophisticated and elegant lounge atmosphere, complete with small tables, cozy couch seating, and a stylish bar.The upscale speakeasy vibe is enhanced by the dark, muted colors, luxurious fabrics, and eccentric artwork adorning the walls. While the music was a bit too loud for the ambiance, it didn't detract from the overall experience. The cocktails at Rocks and Drams are truly a work of art. Each drink is meticulously crafted with spot-on ingredients, offering a variety of options to suit every taste. The staff, including the friendly and knowledgeable bartender who assisted us, were exceptionally helpful and polite. What's more, the prices for the drinks are incredibly reasonable considering the upscale atmosphere of the lounge. I can't wait to return to Rocks and Drams for another unforgettable evening of delicious drinks and elegant ambiance. Five stars all the way!”
“Dry sautéed eggplant Pork xiao long bao Chong Qing special chicken Wonton in spicy sauce Service can get a little tight as they get busier. A certain waiter can do with better customer service but after that, he serviced our table fine. This is not your average Chinese spot, so come in with a hearty appetite. Food here is one of a kind in Ventura County, that's for sure! Loved their dry sautéed eggplant and chong Qing spicy chicken. Note that they close from 3pm-4:30pm”
“If you ever want to have an excellent meal that will leave you feeling satisfied, this is the place. Each of their course selection leaves you wanting to come back to try the next one. You cannot make a bad choice. They bring you each course separately, it allows you to cleanse your palette and prepare for the next sensuous parade of flavors each complementing the other. The prime steaks are cooked to perfection. The flavor is a delicious grilled beefy flavor that makes your mouth smile with delight and your throat release a quiet...mmmmmm.... The staff is both friendly and professional. The complete the ambience of this gem. Sunday brunch will give your weekend the perfect outing. Both the indoor and outdoor dining provide a great experience. This is a great date night place to go before seeing a movie down the street.”
“Looking for tacos and spotted this place. I could see it was delicious and Grandma so I was sold.2 homemade tortillas chicken tacos were really good. There was plenty of juicy chicken, onions, cilantro. The fresh tortillas were sooo good! Served with a few tortilla chips, jalapeño, spicy red salad (awesome) and green salsa (not for me)There were 6 or so picnic tables, I parked on the street. Service was quick, employee was friendly.I was there on a cool breezy afternoon around 3pm it was dead. I would go back for sure. Maybe for a breakfast burrito in the morning.Parking: I parked on the street.”
“Great place, good people/owners… definitley feeling“Authentic Mexican Cantina”…. Vibes… YummyWaaay to go #LetsGooOH Hernandez “Familia” - #ComidaComida!!!!”
“Solid place for a variety of Chinese food flavors and dishes; came here twice in a week, preferred their EZ takeout ordering online, then pick up to eat at home. Good quality and wide menu for meats, seafood, veggies, noodle and rice dishes, appetizers plus dim sum (on wkends). Casual ambience, friendly service (efficient but slower) and moderate pricing. Overall 3.5+ rating for good eats. Expect to pay $13-15pp for lunch specials, or $15-25pp for dinner. Indoor dining has 15-20 booths/tables, so if busy mealtime hours, there may be a wait. Today we tried a few Dim Sum dishes to start - our fave was the steamed pork soup dumplings, tasty! Also a big fan of their Mu Shu Pork ... meat, veggies and egg stir-fried then wrapped in warm pancake wrapper served with Hoisin sauce - delicious! Can't find this dish very often, so i enjoyed it both times ordering food here. Plenty to choose from on the menu, and they also have luncheon specials that come with soup/salad/app during afternoon hours. Decent spot if you're craving some Chinese food, and not looking for a fast food restaurant. Enjoy!!”
“Hands down the best steak i ever had . the seasoning on it was just everything thing . it was so good that i had to come back & try it again & i must say they didn't disappoint !! i like this place so much that it has now become me & my fiancé favorite restaurant ! i can't wait to go back !!”
“My gf and I both really liked our meals here. I had the pho with brisket and she ordered a noodle dish. We came near closing time and they were out of a few items we tried to order so the nice waiter gave us a discount, which we appreciated. Good food and good customer service.”
“Came in for happy hour and all I can say is wow! The service was absolutely incredible- we had Jeff and he was such a delight! He was attentive to our needs, knowledgable of the menu and just such a joy to speak with! He knows how to add a personal touch to the experience! 10/10 would recommend!”
“Ahi poke appetizers was delicious. Dinner was so tasty. The manager was so pleasant, he sat and talked to us told us what was happening and going on at the Barrelhousr 101.”
“We had a great dinner at Prime for my birthday. We love the food & service. The only issue we had is we were charged $6 for club soda! I honestly feel this is way too much to charge a customer. We also sat at the table in front of the fireplace, it was raining & windy out, but the exit area in the patio where we were seated was the only area not covered from the cooler weather & the heater was broken. Luckily the fireplace kept a few of us warm but everyone else was cold. We would've moved but we were a party of 6 & had already ordered drinks and apps. & didn't want to get up and move.”
“Simply the best! New to pierpont & we've eating here many, many times. Some of the best Thai I've ever had plus the staff is so sweet and accommodating. You can tell they put love into their food and business.”
“I have always gotten my pad Thai here, it is so delicious and they never disappoint. I haven’t found any where with as good as pad Thai as this restaurant has. Highly recommend”
“This place right here has thee best corn burritos amd the sauce that they put on them is to die for!!! Can literally drink it, the guy who I think is the owner understands my addiction and gives me extra sauce!! God I love him for that!! Anywhoo best food!! Best prices, best taste......I can go on forever!! But yall are going to have to see for yourselves lol love this place yummm”
“I recently visited The Cave Restaurant and Ventura Wine Company. I hadn’t been there in years and was thinking it would only be appetizers or small plates. It was a pleasant surprise to enjoy such a quality meal and delicious wine and bubbly selection. We were in the back room a bit away from the bustle of the main area, where we could have a conversation. My friend and I shared their Prix Fixe Weekday Meal which consisted of an appetizer and dessert to share along with an entree for each. We decided to add a bottle of French bubbly. We started off with the cranberry cave salad which was so fresh and crisp. It was served on one long plate that we had to portion out ourselves. I would suggest plating it up separately for convenience to the guests. For dinner my friend had the Eggplant Parmesan and I had the Ahi Tuna. It was the best tuna I’ve ever eaten. The pieces were firm and flaky with just the right amount of crust for flavor. The eggplant was served over spaghetti and was a cheesy crisp and delight. Both dishes were mouth watering goodness! We chose a lighter dessert of fresh berries with Italian Zabaione. The perfect blend of flavors to end an amazing meal. Do not miss this gem!”
“One of a kind of place…. Just live the spiritual, ecological, sustainability environment. Just live it!!!You have to experience the energy around. The guys are just zing.”
“Took a random trip to Ventura for the first time and was in the mood for a crab boil and this place came up. The building both outside and inside made us a little hesitant but nonetheless we decided to take a risk and it was well worth it. My cousin and I ordered the star bag with mussels and clams and it came with a large amount of everything and we added dungeness crab. We got full house medium spice sauce. Great experience and great food overall!”

“Came in about 10 pm…party of 4. Aram (sp?) our server did a fine job, especially understanding with 4 senior citizens :) He is kind, courteous and so customer friendly. Food was very good, cooked the way we like it. Aram handled things very well, given that someone called in sick that night and he was the only server. Please tell Aram he’s a great guy and valuable asset to Dennys!!”
“my son and i go here after school often. He's on the spectrum and as soon as he walks in the staff know his order and are so kind and understanding with his behaviors. ❤️”
“Just oreder a Western bacon cheese burger ? ? ? ?My grandfather knew Carl Karcher and my family used to eat at the original CARL'S in Anaheim, every location besides that one is a JR. There's a Lil fun fact for you ? ?”
“It's fast food that should sum it upPluses r breakfast to 24 hours I believe they're open 24 hours. They do take EBT which helps if you're harder for money. They're one of the better convenience places.”
“THE VERY NICE LADY [ WITH REALLY CUTE PURPLE HAIR ] WAS WONDERFUL. FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. ORDERED THROUGH THE APP. GREAT EXPERIENCE!! THANK YOU SO MUCH ?”
“It seems as though going through the drive thru is no longer an option at any fast food establishment. Your order will undoubtedly be wrong and cold. Dining in isn't a good experience, but it's the only way to ensure some degree of food quality. Shameful ”
“Best McDonalds in Ventura County. All other McDonalds are inferior to this location.Vegetarian options: Just eat meat guys come on what’s wrong with youParking: Big shopping center parking lotKid-friendliness: They allow kids in this location”
“Completely unassuming place with excellent fare. The Zach pie was to melt away for! Even the vanilla ice cream is soo good, that it speaks for how well they pay attention to the details!”
“All the staff are friendly here and attentive. I side is fun and Irish-like. Food was pretty good...my dad really enjoyed the fish n chips! I'll return for sure.”
“☕️?Peirano's has the BEST Espresso Martini in town! Strong, smooth & better than dessert, IMO.Lovely heated patio for large parties or for two. Fresh food, homemade vibe, and restaurant quality. Drinks were amazing all around. It gets packed here even on a Thursday night, so you know it's good!!! No pictures because I was having too much fun!”
Takeout Restaurants
“Decided to try something new and very happy we found this place! Very clean and nice area for people to enjoy and hangout. We got the California poppy and dawn patrol, both very good smoothies and super tasty. 10-11 dollars for a smoothie is pretty steep but with all the ingredients in them and from a business perspective the price makes sense. Will definitely come again, the staff was also very nice and knowledgeable about the products they are selling. Two thumbs up”
“Hands down the best ice cream shop ever. The best part about this shop is when I see the truck on the road amd I flag it down they will pull over anywhere just for me to get my ice cream fix. Thank you mister softee”
“I’m ashamed to admit it, but I JUST discovered this location. Out of all 4 (5 now they I know about this, are there more?), this one is by far my favorite. I came middle of the day on a Wednesday, so it wasn’t crowded at all. I loved the massive outdoor space. Seems like it would go off regularly when they have live events.”
“We had chicken mole enchiladas which were fantastic! The carne asada street tacos were also excellent as was the pozole and horchata. We’ll definitely be going back!”
“Great vibe set in vintage Ventura architecture featuring a great selection of Belgians and IPAs served up by a genuinely friendly staff. They bring in some amazing music artists like Shaky Feelin’ making your visit a lifetime memory. The Sea Minor coconut hazy IPA became my new favorite today.”
“The staff was friendly. I had the brownie batter cookie that tasted like a brownie with milk on the side. It was delicious! I would definitely order it again if it comes back on the menu.”
“The chili cheeseburger is amazing - in fact, I've now ordered it on two different occasions because I enjoyed it so much. My husband got one of the hot dogs but after trying my burger, he ended up ordering a chili cheeseburger, too, the second time we visited. The beer was good, the servers are friendly and attentive, and we'll likely be back soon. I don't know where else I'd get a phenomenal brisket like this.”
“Spur of the moment lunch after hiking the Ventura Botanical gardens, great choice! We split the Cobb salad then she had the lamb burger and I had the turkey&pesto sandwich! Wonderful food and very good service for a busy Friday afternoon. Delicious flavors will have us coming back again!”

“So, I swung by B & J Drive-In for a quick lunch, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience! Picture this: a charming little diner with a classic drive-up setup. You order at the window, grab your number, and voila, food's on its way.First impressions? Clean as a whistle. Not a speck of trash in sight, and the staff? Super friendly and helpful. They even helped me navigate their menu with ease. Now, onto the grub. Oh boy, where do I start? They've got everything from juicy cheeseburgers to mouthwatering hot wings. I opted for the Asada burrito, and let me warn you, it's massive! Flavor-packed and oh-so-satisfying. My brother went for the corn burritos, and he couldn't stop raving about them. Fresh and homemade vibes all the way.But wait, there's more! My nephew tackled their colossal cheeseburger like a champ. Two patties, onion rings, cheese, bacon...you name it, it's on there. And trust me, it's as ginormous as it sounds. All in all, B & J Drive-In gets a big thumbs up from me. Quick service, delicious food, and that cozy diner vibe make it a winner in my book.”
“Perfect place for sweets !! Counter person recommended a few things for my co workers very kind . Everything is cute and clean . We will be back during the holidays for there decorative chocolates”

“A walk from the beach, the view is amazing, the place can hold a lot of people and the staff is great. There were a lot of Choice of Beer and we had the chance to taste different kind.I would recommand to go there at Sunset.”
“Give me all of the burritos please.Convenient stop between Ventura and Ojai if you’re looking for a quick bite to each before or after hitting the trails. Or even on your way to the beach.Dietary restrictions: Beans don’t have lard”
“I have since relocated from the 805 and really miss the food. I would drive back for it if time permitted. Al pastor is awesome, but ironically their chicken recipe is what I can't forget---chicken burrito, chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, chicken anything. Very tasty spicy salsa, they don't call themselves Diablo for nothing! And get those fryer fresh chips, quesabirria, chicken burrito, a carnitas torta, and some fish tacos!”
“Great sushi. Everything we had was delicious. The restaurant is next door to Vons at Ventura Keys and easy to dismiss, but it's a hidden gem.Not open late so go early.Saw many local Asians using the restaurant so that's always a good sign.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids when we visited.”
“Enter via Playhouse!! Just moved to 93001 and dying to find best ribs/brisket/TriTip. Found the joint right here. Add the “Brisket Beans” for total meal. Yum.Parking: Go just past Music House on right. Unmarked”
“The food was amazing, we had the chicken & waffles and Finney's burger. Their beer selection was really good as well. The only down side is how loud it was in the dinning area.”

“My husband and I used to frequent Presto Pasta when we lived in the area. The service was always kind and helpful, and the food brought back nostalgic memories while also being delicious. I still enjoy Presto Pasta to this day!”
“I'm a newcomer to Tommy's but my husband grew up with the yummy chili dogs and chili cheeseburgers. I'm going through chemo and food hasn't always tasted good. But lucky for me I can eat and now crave Chili Cheeseburgers. Thank you! The crew working at 8:45pm on 3/1/24 was so friendly and helpful with our order. We ate inside and it was comfortable and clean. We'll be back!”
“As far as "fast" food goes, this is my preferred spot, but the cost is getting ridiculous. Well beyond the price I'm willing to pay anymore. I can go to a sit down get served at a table restaurant for not much more.”
“We attended a Greek festival near my old high school and had the food there this past august. Since then we've been looking for a place with a good gyro and this place hit the spot! It was so good and exactly what we were looking for. We've tried other places and this one comes closest to the one we had prior. It is so good and I didn't mind the tzatziki sauce at all. We enjoyed everything! Not to mention, the cashier was very patient with us. We came in about an hour before closing and she was very patient with us. We still tried to get in and out quick but she didn't seem to mind. Love this place, just wish there was one closer to us!”
“Great service, went in there with a friend and had a great experience. The staff was extremely friendly super nice I didn't get their names but I was there in 11/10/23 at 9:40 pm, it was a women and a young man! I don't experience this with many fast food spots but this one was great! The food was ready super quick, nice and hot! Overall the staff made it a 10/10 will be coming back!”
“This location is always too busy. Had a mobile order and it wasn't made until I asked if they received it. That came after waiting 15 minutes and watching several people get thier orders after asking about them.”
“Jimmy John's is a reliable counter-serve chain for sub and club sandwiches, complemented by their signature potato chips. The customer service can be a bit hit or miss, varying between quick and efficient to occasionally slower service. Regardless, the sandwiches consistently deliver in taste, and the standout feature is undoubtedly the best-in-class bread. With reasonable prices, Jimmy John's offers a pleasant surprise with a nice seating area outside. The outdoor space, bathed in sunlight, adds to the overall dining experience. Despite occasional variations in service, it remains a go-to spot for quality sandwiches with that perfect bread touch.”
“Dining at Chick-fil-A is always a pleasure. The food is reliably tasty. The service is prime - it's rare to feel truly appreciated as a customer, but they excel in that here.”
“In my top 3 sushi places in ventura (Seaward sushi, Banzai Marina, and now Koba sushi). This restaurant is a smaller place that is cozy and inviting. It's a more traditional sushi restaurant that serves the freshest sushi! The staff was very nice and friendly. The place was spotless and pleasant to be in. And the food was delicious! It is pricey bit worth it. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants quality sushi (and sake)!”
“Best place for a cold beer in all of downtown.Topa Topa has it all. Great brews, great people and great atmosphere.Come for one or come for a few. It’s always a good time here. If you know, you know.”
“Food is reliably delicious, with good portions, and moderate prices. We eat there regularly, and sit outside with the dogs, sipping our Pacificos and watching the human panorama spool by!”

“We stopped by at 9:30 on a Tuesday. We got al pastor and Asada. The pastor was the best, super tender and flavorful. The guys were very nice and friendly. Definitely recommend theyre there every night 6-12am”
“Came here to pick up pastries for a work meeting. Read reviews on Yelp and decided to try it. The employees were very friendly and helped me pick out some of the favorites. The place has great outdoor seating and also indoor. One of the fav cookies was the Spotted Cow. I got a few of those and some Easter egg cookies. Everyone loved them. I also snagged me a blueberry scone. It was soft and flaky but it lacked the flavor I was expecting. There were many other pastries to choose from. They also serve food. They had some great looking sandwiches that I would love to go back and try.”
“this is always a go too for me. I live close and its a great truck! lingua on point, pastor on point, cabeza on point, at least that's just my regular taco order lol also great horchata and churros if your in the mood for something sweet! anyway the menu is simple and straight forward which in my opinion usually means they know what they excel in and don't vier to far from it.”
“Happy to have found a nice little hole in the wall taco spot in Ventura. Located in a strip mall it was easy to spot this place. There was tons of parking and I came for a late lunch so the center itself wasn't super busy. Taco Mendoza has a good amount of tables and you order up at the counter. The menu is placed on the counter so there really isn't a menu hanging that you can view if there is a line. Staff were friendly and quick. I ordered my food to go so there wasn't much of an interaction but when ordering everyone seemed nice enough. They had some young guys taking orders and packaging food with a more seasoned looking cook in the back. The kitchen is open concept so you can see what's being done. Takeout was a breeze as it seems like the meat is pre cooked because they had my tacos ready in under 2 minutes. Some may prefer meat cooked to order (I know I normally do) but today I was in a rush so it worked out. I kept it simple and went with some street tacos: Carnitas: 3/5. A little dry and bland for my taste. Wasn't bad but I wouldn't get again. Asada: 5/5. Very flavorful and tasty. The meat pieces aren't very big but they packed good flavor that I didn't even need salsa on those tacos. I would definitely get this protein again as it was good. This place is a casual solid 3.5 but bumping them up to a 4 as we can't do half stars here. I appreciate that you can get food here in under a few minutes to be out the door. Not the best tacos in the 805 but when in the area it definitely hits the spot and I would come back for some easy grab and go street tacos.”
“I have been here 2x both have been really good . it's got a different kinda vibe on the food . service is excellent the 2x I visit. I visit again. for sure”
“All of the staff were friendly and helpful! The bar tender, Jordan, was especially awesome! It wasn't too busy when we were in, Jordan entertained us with stories(dude is super funny!) and made us great drinks!Really appreciate the cushions and pillows along the back walls as my back needs a bit of extra support when I'm out!The new fire tornadoes are great too!”
“Their ice cream is fantastic. We always stop by to get our fill whenever we are in the area. They have a large selection of flavors that have all been good. You can select many different flavors when you purchase a single scoop so you can sample their selection. It is worth a visit when you are in the area. They also have locations in Santa Barbara. I believe that is where they got their start.”
“This is an authentic taco shop right on the beach. 1/2 block to sand, free public parking, and restrooms. We ordered pastor and beef tacos. They came small, double tortilla wrapped (enough filling for 4), and in a nice plastic container. The green sauce was not spicy. Which is perfect for me; it was tangy and absolutely delicious.”
“Solid meal!! Taco shells were a little overcooked and chilie relleno a bit bland. The shredded beef, refried beans and salsa were delicious! Great, friendly service!”
“Cutely decorated quaint cafe. I was charging my car across the street and had to use the restroom when I discovered this place. They must have the beat banana bread I have ever had. The cream cheese spread and toasted warm bread is absolutely delicious!!”
“The busy bee café is a place to go eat you could eat indoor or outdoor. They wait on you as soon as you get in they are so nice it’s clean services top-of-the-line, and the food is more than top-of-the-line. Great food come in and get it I live in Santa Barbara and I go to eat there each time, I’m there in Ventura.”
“I LOVE Lalo's. I moved to Santa Clarita for work 2 years ago from Ventura. I miss this place so much. Every time my family goes to Ventura, we stop at LaLo's. We love their ceviche with shrimp. It's so good.”
“The staff are very friendly and the shops are beautiful designed. The Coffee and tea are delicious, I always get a chai tea latte which has made it on my comfort foods list.Vegetarian options: Although the food isn't the best out there the coffee and teas are great and definitely vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: I haven't personally asked for any.changes to my order. I know they have many options for dietary restrictions.Kid-friendliness: Friendly to all customers no matter their age.Wheelchair accessibility: The store has no stares and many wheelchair accessible routes.”
“We had the breakfast burrito and the quesadilla and they were very good with large portions. We will get 2 meals out of this order. The potatoes are nice and crispy and salted just right. We will come here again when we are in the area. Most seating is outside but they do have 7 tables inside.”
“I’ve been here twice and the sandwiches have been amazing both times! Had a delicious club sandwich today - all the ingredients were super fresh and I love their aioli. Don’t know how more people don’t know about this place.”
“I was on my way to solvang for vacation and made a stop for breakfast. I came here around 10:30am on a Sunday and only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. Our waitress came by and took our order and the food came out quickly and hot! They have a ton of booths and tables inside but it does get busy. Our food was great! The breakfast burrito had sausage, egg, cheese and potato with sour cream and salsa on the side. It was so hot and tasted fresh. The Swedish pancakes are always amazing and delicious! I'm sad there isn't a location closer but if I'm headed this way I'll be back!”
“First time here always go to rice by mama 1 because bigger selection of alcohol anywho this place was on point as far as food very delicious as always mama never disappoint .service was kinda on slow side but the server was very pleasant and everyone had good up beat spirit so it made perfect setting thanks again”
“Went for the blood orange ale which I had sampled at pier under the stars benefit. Best amber ale I have ever tasted!!!Very pricey though for take out cans. $22.85 for a four pack.”
“Love sushi house! Definitely must get their edamame. It comes with mushrooms and onions which is super unique and an amazing addition. I'm vegetarian and love eating here. My boyfriend is obsessed with the hangry roll. Super reasonable price and just a good vibe all around”
“The fish and chips were amazing and the staff were super friendly. The food came out super fast but you could tell that it was fresh cooked so I was very impressed! I’ll definitely Be back next time I’m in the area!”
“This was my first visit to Deep Sea wines. They have two tasting flights: an all red flight for $26 and a mixed flight called the Signature Tasting Flight for $20. I decided to try the Signature Tasting Flight which consisted of a 2022 "The Seahorse" Sauvignon Blanc, 2022 "The Seaturtle" Chardonnay, 2022 "The Seastar" Rose, 2021 "The Helmet" Pinot Noir, and 2021 "The Duel" Red Blend. They also offer food, ranging from a cheese plate ($18), three pizza options, two desserts. I didn't have any food during my tastings but some other customers ordered while I was there and the pizzas looked really tasty. Definitely might give them a chance the next time I stop by. I enjoyed all the wines I had that day but I ended up taking The Seahorse Sauvignon Blanc home. They also were kind enough to let me try the Conway Pinot Noir which was different from the Helmet Pinot that was part of the Signature Flight. I love when I'm able to do a side-by-side comparison of two wines - it often helps me decide what I'm going to purchase. Even though I preferred the Helmet Pinot more than the Conway (although both were really good), I was in a Sauvignon Blanc mood so I decided to take that home. The tasting room was spacious with comfy couches, bar seating and even an outdoor patio. With the location being at Ventura Harbor Village, there wasn't really a bad seat in the house as you're able to look out at the boats and water while you taste. As for parking, when I arrived at about 10:30 am that morning (the tasting room doesn't open until 11am) there were plenty of spaces. But other customers that came in after me commented how it was hard to find parking as there was an event happening that day, so the lot was very full. Stephanie and Jessica poured my wines for me and they were great! Answered all my questions, were prompt when I was ready for my next pour and were super pleasant. Even when they got very busy towards the end of my tasting, they still made sure I was taken care of. Would definitely recommend it.”
“If you like sushi by the beach, this restaurant has a comfortable table with raw fish to accommodate your tastes. Great location here in Ventura, California. Service is fast. Buy 1 drink next one free. Private entrance for celebrities and private parties.”
“Place is OK. Prices are quite high if you consider a family of 4 (around $200 without alcohol or fancy cocktails) sometimes restaurant is full and probably the waiting time is around 15-30 minutes and finding a space in the parking lot is complicated. Food is OK, and it has a good variety of options but nothing spectacular or above expectations.”
“Anyone wants suntory nama beer and asahi nama beer? The last time I had sundtory draft beer was back in Osaka.I bet you can’t find anything like this near.Hand made pan fried gyoza and wagyu yaki? You have to stop by to experience.Give thanks to hard works.”
“Super cool little place that we have been wanting to check out! I tried the sidecar specialty cocktail they had on their menu and I loved it! My hubby ordered an old fashion and he loved it! We got a few of the hand rolls to try. My fave was the spicy tuna hand roll but they were all tasty. We ordered the wings too. They were spicy but yummy. This place is great for drinks and a couple of finger foods imo. I didn’t have the urge to try their main entrees not sure why. Might come back and I’ll update.”
“Hands down the best steak i ever had . the seasoning on it was just everything thing . it was so good that i had to come back & try it again & i must say they didn't disappoint !! i like this place so much that it has now become me & my fiancé favorite restaurant ! i can't wait to go back !!”
“Been here maybe 15 times but only 1 time we sat at the sushi bar we got forgotten about and our meal was given to us an hour after a couple showed up 15 minutes after us and got their food!”
“Our server was perfect, the food was very good, but I need to give a huge shout out to Liam, the manager on Monday night. He turned an almost terrible situation into a wonderful experience and I hope the owners realize what a gem he is. His attitude, graciousness and problem-solving are a credit to both him and Brophy Bros. Refreshing in today’s restaurant experiences, for sure.”
“I love going to this place. I was new to the area and I felt right at home. They have live bands some days and DJ’s the other ones. The staff members are great. The bouncers keep an eye to make sure it’s not too rowdy or any escalations of fights.”
“First time in a long time going to Capriccios, sorry we waited so long. 5 stars! Great service, wonderful and creative food, and a cozy atmosphere. Love the big windows so even on a cold night it feels indoor/outdoor. The pizza was the best we have had in Ventura! This will be a regular stop.”
“The food was spectacular, the service outstanding. We sat on their dog friendly patio, they were so accomodating.. we can't wait to go back our new favorite place”
“Ahi poke appetizers was delicious. Dinner was so tasty. The manager was so pleasant, he sat and talked to us told us what was happening and going on at the Barrelhousr 101.”
“This is the best brewery in Southern California by far , the beer is extremely high quality, they even have gluten free options. The place is clean , beautiful and cozy with extremely clean restrooms which is a huge plus. Amazing and friendly bartenders and staff . My new favorite spot in Ventura ???? oh and they even have pinball ??”
“Green pablano rice is AMAZING! I highly recommend anything on the menu. Even the horchata stands out for its quality.I am eager to become a weekly regular here ...and I am frugal as hell when it comes to going out to eat haha.”
“Our family has been visiting Cronies in Ventura since it was built when I was a kid. My mom has memories of us 'bringing our own chairs' because they had just opened :)Cronies is a great sports bar for friends, families, and kids of all ages. Burgers, sammies, beer, salads, and now a full bar - it's a friendly place to get your grub on. Our favorites are their burgers, wings, crispy chicken sandwich, and the THIRSTY TURKEY sandwich is by far my fave. They have great curly fries too!See you at Cronies!”
“Great subs brisket sub and hook and ladder subs are the bestStill to notchBut the service was sub par. cashier did not know how to use my points for a purchase last time I was told they sent the code to My email does no good if I'm in store.”
“Gigi’s Cocktail Lounge offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for unwinding with friends. My recent Thursday evening visit for karaoke was a blast. The lounge features two pool tables, a bar, and indoor/outdoor seating, making it a versatile spot for various preferences.Karaoke nights on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are hosted by a charming older couple, adding a personal touch to the experience. The song selection is decent, and you'll likely recognize some familiar faces among the regulars who frequent the karaoke sessions. When it comes to drinks, Gigi's keeps it simple with no-frills options suitable for a dive bar ambiance. While there are no signature cocktails, the bartenders are friendly, ensuring a pleasant experience. However, the lounge can get crowded during peak hours and holidays, so timing your visit is key. While Gigi's doesn't serve food, patrons can enjoy tacos or burritos from the taco truck outside or bring in outside food, adding to the laid-back vibe.In terms of pricing, drinks are a bit on the higher side for the basic offerings, but the overall ambiance and experience make it worth it. Whether you're there for the karaoke, pool, or simply to unwind with friends, Gigi's Cocktail Lounge offers a welcoming environment for a casual night out.”
“I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was so amazing it tasted fresh and the fries are so good. The shawarma had so much flavour to it I would 100% come back again.”
“Great service, the vibes we're right. They have a easy to use jukebox and our bartender JO was on top of things and made sure our glass was never empty! It was my first time here, definitely coming back.”
“First time going after years of hearing good about the place. Service was fantastic and the food was great. Your Social Tap blonde ale was really good. Looking forward to coming back and trying more.”
“This please is such a great location to hang with friends and listen to live music. My personal favorite is when Astral Weather plays during open mic night. I also love Steve Sharp's karaoke! He runs a fun and efficient party! Beth is one of the kindest bartenders ever. It's truly an excellent place.”
“You can drive down the Avenue and have a numerous amount of places to stop and get some delicious food..I think they have the closest to authentic mexican food/tacos then anywhere in Ventura. Depends what you're in the mood for..Tacos, Tortas, Relleno Burritos, you name it, they have it.”
“My boyfriend and I stayed here and overall, we ha d a very nice time. The staff was very nice, the early check in time (3) and the late check out (12) was a pro, for sure. Continental breakfast which was simple but good and free parking! Beautiful view and pool, though it was cold so we did not use it. No hot tub though :/. Some reviews said it was loud because of the freeway, but I could only hear the waves! I would come back, but probably for a weekday rate instead of the pricey weekend rate.”
“Lunch with coworker ... and we were trying to figure out where to go! Toppers never disappoints. Founded in my hometown of Oxnard, it is def a favorite!!! I had been to this local before years ago. I usually go to the one in Oxnard on Gonzales or the one on Front Street in Ventura. This is an older location that could use some remodeling and upgrading. I would love for their older locations to get some love :) Our pizzas were perfect. Came up quick! We were out within our allotted lunch time! Woohooo! My only rec is .. if you're looking for a nicer place- I'd recommend going to their Front Street location here in Ventura or their location in Oxnard by the harbor. Love the views at those two the most!!! If you're not an Oxnard hater .. my favorite is the harbor location right by the water! Regardless of which location you choose .. great pizza! Ask for it well done, since the upgrade to their ovens the crust can be underdone at times :/ This is our hack! Crispy crunchy pizza each time if you eat on site!”
“Every time we visit Ventura from San Diego we always try to come to Ventiki. I am a huge fan of tiki themed bars and lounges and I've been to many. This is a very small place and many people want to experience it. Patience is the key and don't get snooty and uptight with the staff and they in turn will treat you right. The maitra d there tries his best to accommodate you but he can only do so much, don't loose patience with him and he will be most accommodating. Be respectful and he will go out of his way to make sure you have a great time while you are there. It's a really fun place and the tiki drinks are spot on, they don't skimp on the alcohol. The food is pretty good as well. Overall it's one of the better tiki bars I've been to and I've been to many. All of the bartenders are cool there one in particular has his own home tiki bar that is so amazing and he's happy to show you pics of it and talk to you about it. In closing of my somewhat lengthy review of Ventiki again I want to stress it's a very small place and patience is the key. Keep that in mind be willing to wait you will be rewarded with a very good time.”
“First time customer. I always passed by and wondered about this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised because from the outside it looks like any other 'fast food'. Just had my miso soup and salad. So far, excellent. Sadly, the price for the dinners (I got 3 items) is more than what these menus state. But, a lot of food, so I was not too slighted by the higher charge. I suggest these Facebook page be brought current.”
“Winchester is a great mix of meats with reasonable sides and appetizers. They also have a great drink menu.We stopped back in for an afternoon drink and they had live music, which was an extra treat.”
“Good food, not an arm and a leg prices. The non sushi options are also good, for children or other weirdos who won't eat raw fish. This is a new favorite spot. It can get busy, but that's only because it's good and worth it”
“From the moment we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately. The first thing I noticed was how clean the business was.We were seated at a nice booth on the left side of the restaurant. Our waitress was outstanding! The service was fast. She explained the entire menu so well! And their prices are MORE than fair.My group went with a few things.King crab legs with potatoes, corn and sausage. In their house sauce. Which is a spicy Cajun garlic butter.OMG SO GOOD! Crab was cooked perfectly. Potatoes, sauces and corn absolutely perfect. Fresh, tasty filling. We also got the shrimp and clams.Again fresh, cooked to perfection not a single issue. The staff here seemed very professional and courteous to their guests. Always attentive and always helping the guests.I want to write more! But I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves. This place is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if you want a seafood boil. There isn't many in the area so this place is definitely the go to.Enjoy!”
“This market is awesome, the place was super clean, had alot of different varieties of meat. I will defiantly be going back to load up on meat for the week. The 2 gentleman in the store were awesome, super nice, friendly and very helpful. I work across the street and was looking for a place to eat. Decided to go to Five Points Meat Martket to see how the food was, I was not aware they only sold cooked food on the weekends, but the gentleman were kind enough to make us something, the food was amazing and I would recommend it to all who have no been there or have tried it. 5 stars guys thank you very much food was excellent.”
“Did a quick search in the area on Yelp, and was pleased to find a place that featured cider. Finding places that feature cider is a challenge, especially in LA/Ventura County. We stopped in to check out this new place to us and found out that this establishment has been open for approximately 12 years as a winery. And several years ago they got into making ciders! This place is primarily a winery with a spin off of a cidery where they feature approximately 5 ciders on tap. Plus they have ciders in bottles that you can take away. They had one apple cider and several other flavors. As I am a traditionalist when it comes to cider, I stick to the apple cider! It was good but definitely on the sweeter side! I prefer dry ciders! Ciders cost 11 dollars a glass. They have take away bottles of ciders too! Nice item to take to the beach! If you are not a cider fan or prefer wine, they have an extensive menu of wine! The winery/cidery does have a comfy location to kick back within a small space! They have nice comfy seats plus larger communal tables! They also have a venue space where they have their wine barrels! Looks like a nice space to do an event! We appreciate the great hospitality! Thanks Tyler for the intro to this establishment!”
“Just had the Volcano, OUTSTANDING!!! Servers were so awesome to me. Every time I eat here I'm amazed out how delicious the food is. Need to try more each time. THANK YOU GUYS!!!”
“I went to Sbarro on Tuesday July 11, pacific view mall Ventura Ca; I'm a regular customer because I love the pizza that Alberto manager makes; and also the very kind, great and polite customer service by Sarah, she helps me a lot to choose the variety of foods everytime that I go.However yesterday was an other guy in the morning making pizzas and was so awful pizza, it was soggy and doesn't have consistency, the guy had all the displays full of pizza and he was in the phone with his earpods and he knew that many customers were in line and he didnt pay attention to us even our line was in front of him, he didnt care to Help Sarah, she was doing all the job and taking care of all of us the customers. She did awesome job yesterday because she could handle by herself the busy time and offering us a real good customer service even though the place was very busy. The manager should not allow the earpods during the working time specially the guy that was yesterday, he had no absolutely help behaviour to his co-workers and his pizza was horrendous. However I feel grateful with Sarah because she did an incredible job (she took orders, served sides, entries, served drinks and was being cashier at the same time) Sarah and Alberto are the kind of workers that make it worth visit Sbarro.”
“We ended up sitting at the bar doing some happy hour drinks and food. The bartender is very knowledgeable of his products. The food that we ate was very good. Prices for happy hour are not super cheap.”
“What a wonderful find on Seward Avenue in Ventura. If you want the real deal Italian cuisine, this is your place. Our fabulous waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and fantastic at explaining everything. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure.”
“Love this place!Love the foodLove the employeesLove entertainment (video games, TV games)Love it' all around highly recommendSeating is perfect for big or small gatherings!!”
“Been awhile since I've had fish and this is surely the best place possible to go. Their menu is amazing with all of the best fish!I had their grilled halibut - wonderful! It melted in my mouth. Great beer selection. Will be back!!”
“I don’t normally take time to write reviews but felt I needed to after all of the hard work the staff visibly put in over the Holidays.I was there when the machines went down and saw that the staff was working hard to take care of every single person in line and keep us informed of the status of things. It was frustrating for the business to have issues the day before Thanksgiving but what was controllable by the staff was being handled with great efficiency and care.I am from out of town and had wanted to pick up a ham on my way to family for Thanksgiving.I had expected that I may encounter a line given it was the day before Thanksgiving but was surprised to see just how long the line was.Because there was a huge line I walked inside to see what was going on and noticed that there were cashiers at every register helping customers. Can’t really complain about a line when every available register is being used. There was a nice lady walking the line, I think her name was Sue, who was doing her best to answer questions and make sure people were in the correct line. When I got to the front of the line I was helped by Christy who was amazing and professional.I appreciate that even though it was busy she noticed I had reserved a quarter ham and explained to me the cost difference between the more expensive quarter hams and the half hams.We were able to get me a much bigger ham for almost the same price I would have paid for the smaller quarter ham. So I now have leftovers I can look forward to in my freezer.I have read some of the reviews and understand people’s frustration about glaze issues ( given there was an issue with the machine and the staff was very transparent about what was going on and the work they were doing to get it fixed) but I don’t understand posting a poor review without giving the business a chance to rectify the situation. While I feel corporate could do a much better job ensuring the stores have enough room to care for their holiday traffic ( that store seems way to small to handle that kind of holiday traffic), I feel like the manager did a great job ensuring the workers in the store were doing what they could to keep things going and get people cared for.We will come back for sure.”
“Went back since my usual was closed (again as per my last review lol) and this place looked empty so we opted to have soup on this cold, February evening. We ordered: Wor wonton soup- much better in terms of filling Egg drop soup- tasty and your usual Dry wok beef- pretty delicious and spicy. I would order again. Crispy noodles- thin crispy noodles topped with a special chef gravy sauce and veggies. Would get again but request more crispy noodles as we are crunch lovers. There was only one person assisting and taking orders, handling takeout.”
“Great and friendly costumer service. The store was busy with costumers. We had the pleasure of having the manager Tati, take our order all while still helping her staff. Would definitely go again.”
“Best food in Ventura literally any plate you try.the green micheladas are amazing. The best part is the hospitality. They also have an amazing back patio and on fridays they have live music sometimes. It's a must it's a hidden gem.”
“Love this little spot!!! KARAOKE on Tuesdays is a total hoot and I had the worst vodka cran of my life here but that's the beauty of Star lounge... it keeps ya coming back ..!!”
“Good, fresh food - from the edamame, to the veggie roll to the tofu agedashi to the green tea ice cream. Great vegetarian options.Vegetarian options: See above.”
“Had lunch with the family on a Sunday afternoon. Service was great we had amazing waiters and a waitress. We were greeted with smiles and seated quickly. The restaurant was beautiful art work and layout is very nice and clean and calm. Not too quiet so our big party of 10 does not disturb others. The drinks were delicious got a margarita flight with their spring special flavors and the food was delicious didn't wait long at all for our main meals and chips and salsa here are always delicious and served quickly. I recommend.”
“First time to Wood Ranch BBQ restaurant. Arrived at 6:30pm. Immediately shown to a booth. Service was excellent. Our server (Debra) was very attentive & personable. We started with the Shredded Fried Onions with Barbecue and Ranch dip. Very tasty. We both had the Barbecue 7oz Tri-Tip medium. Tender juicy and flavorful. I had the Mac & Cheese plus Baked Beans for my sides. They were great. Unfortunately my wife chose the steamed Broccoli & Brussel Sprouts. The broccoli was not steamed enough virtually raw and the brussel sprouts were over cooked. Debra brought another perfectly steamed order of broccoli when when showed her how raw the original broccoli was. Overall a great experience, good food an excellent service. We will be back again.”
“Cool old place near Saticoy and the baseball fields and golf course. Easy parking and a convenience store next door to it. Food was good! Smoky flavor and tasty sauce. Not so hot that you are wondering if it'll light your mouth up but just right. Toast was bigger than most local bbq places and serving size of Tri Tip was way bigger.”
“Ordered from door dash today and everything came correct and delicious! I have ordered many times and always get a lot of customizations to my order and they have always gotten it right which is so awesome! The fries were cooked perfectly and my cheesesteaks were seasoned well and juicy! The lemonade is always great! Definitely recommend”
“We had a great lunch at this lovely restaurant downtown Ventura. The food was delicious we had the fiesta platter and side of rice and beans. Our server was friendly and accommodating and explained the menu items. Loved the high ceiling and decor. They play music but it's not too loud it allows you to have a conversation without yelling. A Must try!!!”
“This hotel has obviously been remodeled relatively recently. It still looks new. Staff at check-in were pleasant, efficient, thorough and very accommodating. The room we had was amazingly comfortable. It was big, well appointed, very clean, and had one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. One of my bugaboos about hotels is the air conditioning. This unit was fantastic - easy to set, very reliable, and the fan made just the right amount of noise to provide that marvelous "white noise sleep." Because the lounge was closed, instead of a continental breakfast in the lounge due to our Elite status, we were treated to a full order off the menu breakfast. It was a really good pork green chili omelet. My only complaint would be that there is a $16 charge for parking. A little strange, but that's life these days. We will be coming back to Venture and will be choosing this Marriott as our hotel.”
“The view is spectacular and the food is very good. On Monday the special is $5 each for fish tacos or a Margarita. My friend left her jacket and the owner offered to mail it to her.Great place to go for a nice lunch, and it was not terribly busy.”
“Always a good time at Rincon. Their smash burger is to die for. We came by a little later than normal, and found out they were closing at 8. Thankfully, our great waitress Loren was so accommodating and helpful to get our last call in and allowed us to finish our dinner without it feeling rushed. Truly great service. Thank you!”
“Lovely harbor view. The interior appears to have been updated recently. Nice. Got some happy hour appetizers. And a well drink that, for some reason, wasn't charged happy hour price. Didn't notice until later. Frown. It was a strong drink. Woot.Parking: Parking right next to the restaurant must be used by other businesses because it was close to full even though the restaurant had just opened when we arrived and we were the only customers for a bit.”
“Always a treat when I'm in that part of Ventura. I had some corn burritos & a Carne asada burrito and they were excellent as always! The owner is super friendly. He says they've been there 50 years now! I love supporting small businesses like this one. I'll definitely be back again, hopefully they're still hanging on.”
“Stopped by to pick up a bowl with my daughter, and the father and son team behind the counter were great. We joked about the small portion ( medium size fed two of us with leftovers). Very fresh tuna and perfect rice. All the added sides made the bowl weigh at least 2 pounds. Great stop if you’re in the area.Parking: In Lowes center, plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: ADA ramps available right in front of store.”
“Stephani was a WONDERFUL waitress. Also, it is to be noted, the manager is incredibly hands-on making certain that the guests are receiving good service. They are valued employees.”
“Great time in Ventura County. This high-class kitchen+bar is designed to relax and have fun even if you don't dance. The working owner is there to greet all of his guests. Best time all day long.”
“Ashton was the absolute best. Food was amazing. Drinks were great. They were out of coffee liquor for their expresso martini, and Ashton made a drink up for us with actual expresso, and it was better than the expresso martini. She's wonderful, super friendly, and great at her job. Thank you for the best brunch experience.”
“sushi was great and affordable. big rolls and great happy hour prices!! Ellie was a very sweet host, and we witnessed her be very patient with a super rude customer!”
“I have been coming to Paddy's for years and seeing Rob absolutely makes my night. I walk in and see him and am so happy. I can come here alone and feel completely safe (this hard for a female). I feel like the people here are so welcoming and genuine. I'm not a bar person and this is one of my favorite spots to come. Thank you, Rob, for always remembering my drink and taking the time to have great conversations with me over the years! (I love Dani? Danny? as well, don't get me wrong...) COME HERE!!! you won't regret it”

“My family has been going here for years. Always such good burritos. I wish I knew how they made their salsa, because some of my relatives moved out of state and cannot find salsa anywhere else this tasty. Sometimes we'll order ahead on the phone or just drop by.I'm only knocking a star, because having to buy sour cream as an extra for $2 is so silly. We just make sure to have a $3 container of sour cream when we get these. Way better deal.”
“We were referred to Scooter by a friend to cater our outdoor wedding. Scooter was easy to work with, communicative, timely, and oh boy was the food yummy. The chicken was moist, the tritip was flavorful, and there were a variety of sides to choose from. In addition to the food, they provided plates, utensils and napkins for guests. There were 100 guests and we had plenty of food for seconds. Thank you Scooter and team!”
“Best Thai in town. We used to go to rice by mama but found moons Thai and now it's our go to. If you want better dine in experience for the atmosphere then mama's is better but moons flavor can't be beat. And the Thai chili on the tables is amazing.”
“Did lunch here. It was very enjoyable, and the service was good.I was a bit taken aback at the cost of a little glass of milk $4.49 and a side of fries, $6.99, which is a bit much.”
“Modern restaurant with lots of meat options that you can pick from for your burrito. The desserts look fresh and amazing, can't wait to try. 4% discount if you pay in cash. Not too much indoor space so could be a challenge for large parties, plus they prepare everything as takeout. Highly recommended!”

“I’ve been here twice and the sandwiches have been amazing both times! Had a delicious club sandwich today - all the ingredients were super fresh and I love their aioli. Don’t know how more people don’t know about this place.”
“We started our honeymoon off by having breakfast here, and we were so glad we found this place, because everything all the way down to the preserves was made homemade. Nothing compares to homemade.”
“What can one say about a place that is consistently good in service and product? This place rocks! Clean all cared for inside and out, with halt service and such yummy food. This place is busy all the time because it's good, fairly priced, and pleasant. You just can't go wrong.”

“One word, Mimosas! Owned by the same family that owns LoRu's at the Camarillo Outlets. Good food and good service. The (chorizo) breakfast tacos were very good.”
“It’s always the best and has been for more years than I’ve been alive. I’m a vegetarian and the breakfast burrito and chili rellano are my go to. Red hot sauce for life!”
“I could eat here everyday. Every sandwich so far has been delicious. My whole family loves it too. They're so fast with the orders, and the workers are nice. It's a total hole in the wall kind of place, small but perfect.”
“I just ordered my favorite pizza (large thin crust , jalapeño and pineapple) it was so perfect I had to go back in and find out who made it. Turns out it was Justin thumbs up he did a excellent job. Thank you. I was compelled to leave a decent tip.”
“Went for the first time on Sunday 4/28. It's definitely one of the best pizzas in the VC and it's also definitely pricey. What makes up for any issues here is the rooftop patio where you get ocean views and the pizza delivered to your table. Great beers and great staff and it's 21 and over so no shrieking kids running around and ruining your day.”
“Best Thai in town. We used to go to rice by mama but found moons Thai and now it's our go to. If you want better dine in experience for the atmosphere then mama's is better but moons flavor can't be beat. And the Thai chili on the tables is amazing.”
“We got two orders of the C2 it was a Nutella filled fishy pastry baked in house and fresh on top of cookies and cream ice cream, the dish itself was adorable. The kids loved it. The ambiance was cute and the staff were quick and attentive.”
“Such a cool place! My wife loves the fish tacos and I love the asada tacos. Service at the pick up window is always fast. Good beer selection and good music always playing! Happy hour is sweet!”
“Good food, great view. I saw someone with the fish and chips and strongly regretted not ordering it. I didn't taste it but it looked amazing. My poke bowl was pretty good and comes as a massive serving.”
“The Pho is enough for 2 people and it's delicious! We have had both the chicken and the Wagu beef. Also, the rice plates with fried rice and either Wagu beef or spicy pork is really good. We get one of each (Pho and rice plate) and share. We are quite full and satisfied when we finish! And the prices are very reasonable.”
