“Last week our family hosted my uncles celebration of life at Kegel’s Inn. It was a great experience for all of us. One I know my uncle would have loved. The venue was absolutely perfect for the German Oktoberfest theme we were going for. The food was great and the staff were welcoming and prepared. Jessica was very polite and helpful throughout the entire process. She made the decision making process very clear and simple. Would highly recommend anyone to use this establishment for any occasion.”

We come here weekly like clockwork now - before moving here it was my choice when I’d come up from IL to visit (when it was my time to pick) - for the Jacks, Ecto Cooler & the Parm fries but also for the EXCEPTIONAL service by Katie. She helps me navigate this large, fabulous menu & she has never steered us wrong. She is so knowledgeable, fast & friendly. I only wish every place had a Katie to accent a menu this delicious. “This was our 1st. time here and it certainly didn't disappoint! Atmosphere was really nice, cozy but still fun. Our waitress Eliza was super, checking on us but never pushy. She gave us some great recommendations that were absolutely delicious. We started with sharing a cup of corn and crab chowder, beet and goat cheese salad and sautéed crawfish with crossttini. Everything was fantastic, not to spicy hot just seasoned well. Main course was also great, steak and mashed potatoes....super tender and juicy steak came out exactly like we ordered...perfect meduim rare. That doesn't happen often. Also had the blacken salmon with asparagus and beans and rice. Again can't say enough it was delicious. Then to top the evening off we shared the beneignts with a fruit sauce. YUMMY Kudos to you all the chef and waite staff and Eliza for a great dining experience.”

“We have traveled extensively throughout the United States and Caribbean. In fact, we are three states away from being in all fifty. This hotel is one of the best planned and run that we have ever stayed in! The check in agent was busy on a work related call but managed to check us in so we didn’t have to wait. The room was spotless and smelled very clean. The bed was oriented facing the window which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. Rather enjoyed that. Very comfortable pillows, two seemed to be feather. An honest to goodness nightlight was provided in the bathroom instead of nothing or a green glowing panel. The floor to ceiling sliding glass door in the shower insured no fighting with a curtain to keep water off the floor. Nicely arranged bathmat to look like a butterfly. Speaking of the shower, how nice the have the water control on the opposite wall from the shower head so you don’t get sprayed with cold water. A nice big shower also. PLENTY of outlets and USB fast charging ports in the room also, much appreciated! Well appointed gym. The breakfast room in the morning was well designed with tvs on several walls so no matter which way you faced, made for easy viewing. The breakfast among other things consisted of scrambled eggs, hash browns and nice crisp bacon. Muffins, waffles, breads etc made for a breakfast to please anyone. All well serviced and maintained by staff. USA Today was provided both downstairs and by the elevator on the floors. Ample parking and walking distance from a Walgreens and restaurants. Right across the the State Fairgrounds also. All in all, congratulations to the management and a place we will definitely stay at again should we find ourselves in Milwaukee!”

“My work had a food truck day and it was my 1st time trying Fatty Patty. They did not disappoint. I ordered the Chicken Filet sandwich and it was the BEST Chicken sandwich that I have had. The chicken was hand breaded and was so moist. Also got their Cheese Curds and they were delicious. Service was quick and the workers were very friendly. Also kudos to them working in their trucks when the temps were around 90. They did an amazing job. Would definitely recommend them for your event and I will try them again in the future.”

“I was first introduced to Layman Brewing on a quiet Sunday afternoon and have since made it my go to spot. If we are going to meet for dinner or brunch, chances are good I’m dragging you to Layman’s. I appreciate the skill and work these two put into brewing great beer and making yummy food. The fishfry with that tartar sauce is the best. Smash burgers for breakfast yes please! The bartenders are always crafting some delicious cocktails, and I mean crafting. If you’re still on the fence once Sarah comes around and entices you with her apple pie, you’ll be hooked! I had #16! The white rice and beans, with the chicharrones, a thinly cut steak, a sausage chorizo, salad, plantains, and a taste of the yuca frita. OH MY OH MY OH MY!!! My hope really is that this place makes it for years to come and expands to other parts of the city! The design of the place has a vibe that invites you in to stay awhile. To enjoy the flavors of the food entries offered. Each one I have to imagine just as good as what I had. This being my first time there I left with a happy heart and a happy tummy! “I had ordered a pizza last night from Alphonso‘s and I thought it was the absolute worst pizza I ever had when it arrived at my house. It was almost burnt. I called and complained to the manager. He said he would do everything he could to make it up to me. So I stopped in today and they gave me a pizza and one of their sandwiches and I haven’t had the sandwich yet because I’m too full from the pizza, it was a night and day difference From yesterday to today. It was excellent.”

“We went to the West Allis Cheese and Sausage Shoppe as I was looking for a Milwaukee area sandwich shop. The location of this store/cafe is great as there are a number of places to eat and other shops to stop in at.

So this cafe serves breakfast, lunch, coffee….we tried a little of everything. The sandwiches were good. Cheese soup amazing. Breakfast sandwiches huge. Next to the cafe is a deli you can shop at while you wait for your food. The deli has your typical sliced meats and cheeses but also a selection of beef sticks, curds, and other snack type items.
Definitely a place to visit.”

“We got our 1st pizza from Cataro’s Pizza last night at 11:15pm after seeing the band Without Annette at Da Bar nearby. We were hungry so we searched pizza open late near me. That’s how we found this amazing pizza. The owner had closed the dining room early because business has been so slow but he offered to make us one to go. It was so good! I highly recommend this place. We’ll definitely be back!”

“I have heard alot about this place, good & bad but had to try it for myself. Ordered 2 large pizzas and 2 garlic bread. Very good pizza, garlic bread was ok. I say just ok because it was carryout and with it being wrapped, it got a little soft, I'm sure if you eat there it would be crisper. I was told 45 minutes after I ordered, it was ready within 5 minutes of that time. Definitely in my top 3 places for pizza and will order from here again.”

Definitely an ideal worker to have. I am fairly sure a coworker tried to make a mean comment about him still being at the same station when I asked him for something else that send him back over to it. I sure hope that wasnt the case, but if it was he definitely didnt deserve it. He was an incredibly kind, hard working guy I hope great things happen for him.”

“Was in Dim Sum heaven. Everything was so fresh and steaming hot. But the thing that almost made me emotional was the Hong Kong Style Wonton soup. The dumpling wrap and noodles were so fresh they reminded me of going to Chinatown in Toronto as a kid and later in Chicago's Chinatown. Can’t wait to go back!”
