“I really like Caulfield's, a lot.. the whole "casual fine dining" is exactly what I like in a place.. their happy hours, their wine Wednesdays, and their flatbreads, are all awesome.. I even had their vegetarian mushroom cheese steak and loved it, and I don't normally even order vegetarian. One thing I thought was just ok was their fish fry. For the money, there are places with better fish fry meals.. The fish itself was good, but the side items were a little lacking. I believe I got coleslaw and house made chips. I don't think it came with bread of any kind.. I think for the money, fries or mashed potatoes could be an option, moreso than potato chips. Other than that minor complaint, I will continue recommending this place.”

“Last week our family hosted my uncles celebration of life at Kegel’s Inn. It was a great experience for all of us. One I know my uncle would have loved. The venue was absolutely perfect for the German Oktoberfest theme we were going for. The food was great and the staff were welcoming and prepared. Jessica was very polite and helpful throughout the entire process. She made the decision making process very clear and simple. Would highly recommend anyone to use this establishment for any occasion.”

The restaurant reached out to this person through Messenger, but because they blocked Being Still, there is no way to respond to them. And they took the comments off their facebook page and blocked Being Still.... nice.... Seems sneaky to not leave a honest review up for people to see the conversations, but to only have the good ones on your Facebook page. “This was our 1st. time here and it certainly didn't disappoint! Atmosphere was really nice, cozy but still fun. Our waitress Eliza was super, checking on us but never pushy. She gave us some great recommendations that were absolutely delicious. We started with sharing a cup of corn and crab chowder, beet and goat cheese salad and sautéed crawfish with crossttini. Everything was fantastic, not to spicy hot just seasoned well. Main course was also great, steak and mashed potatoes....super tender and juicy steak came out exactly like we ordered...perfect meduim rare. That doesn't happen often. Also had the blacken salmon with asparagus and beans and rice. Again can't say enough it was delicious. Then to top the evening off we shared the beneignts with a fruit sauce. YUMMY Kudos to you all the chef and waite staff and Eliza for a great dining experience.”

The barista was also clearly a very hard worker and doing a lot, and that shows in the way the store looks and feels. “We have traveled extensively throughout the United States and Caribbean. In fact, we are three states away from being in all fifty. This hotel is one of the best planned and run that we have ever stayed in! The check in agent was busy on a work related call but managed to check us in so we didn’t have to wait. The room was spotless and smelled very clean. The bed was oriented facing the window which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. Rather enjoyed that. Very comfortable pillows, two seemed to be feather. An honest to goodness nightlight was provided in the bathroom instead of nothing or a green glowing panel. The floor to ceiling sliding glass door in the shower insured no fighting with a curtain to keep water off the floor. Nicely arranged bathmat to look like a butterfly. Speaking of the shower, how nice the have the water control on the opposite wall from the shower head so you don’t get sprayed with cold water. A nice big shower also. PLENTY of outlets and USB fast charging ports in the room also, much appreciated! Well appointed gym. The breakfast room in the morning was well designed with tvs on several walls so no matter which way you faced, made for easy viewing. The breakfast among other things consisted of scrambled eggs, hash browns and nice crisp bacon. Muffins, waffles, breads etc made for a breakfast to please anyone. All well serviced and maintained by staff. USA Today was provided both downstairs and by the elevator on the floors. Ample parking and walking distance from a Walgreens and restaurants. Right across the the State Fairgrounds also. All in all, congratulations to the management and a place we will definitely stay at again should we find ourselves in Milwaukee!”

Lake Effect is separate from the church but they do partner with others in the community including a Macha pop up, and they even allowed me to do a little pop up to celebrate AAC awareness month!

I can't forget to mention their awesome bakery, with some muffins and cookies baked in house and their tasty treats from City Market and Carries Crispies!”

“I had ordered a pizza last night from Alphonso‘s and I thought it was the absolute worst pizza I ever had when it arrived at my house. It was almost burnt. I called and complained to the manager. He said he would do everything he could to make it up to me. So I stopped in today and they gave me a pizza and one of their sandwiches and I haven’t had the sandwich yet because I’m too full from the pizza, it was a night and day difference From yesterday to today. It was excellent.”

“I was first introduced to Layman Brewing on a quiet Sunday afternoon and have since made it my go to spot. If we are going to meet for dinner or brunch, chances are good I’m dragging you to Layman’s. I appreciate the skill and work these two put into brewing great beer and making yummy food. The fishfry with that tartar sauce is the best. Smash burgers for breakfast yes please! The bartenders are always crafting some delicious cocktails, and I mean crafting. If you’re still on the fence once Sarah comes around and entices you with her apple pie, you’ll be hooked! Go enjoy something delicious and soak up the friendly vibe for this little homegrown establishment.”

“We went to the West Allis Cheese and Sausage Shoppe as I was looking for a Milwaukee area sandwich shop. The location of this store/cafe is great as there are a number of places to eat and other shops to stop in at.

So this cafe serves breakfast, lunch, coffee….we tried a little of everything. The sandwiches were good. Cheese soup amazing. Breakfast sandwiches huge. Next to the cafe is a deli you can shop at while you wait for your food. The deli has your typical sliced meats and cheeses but also a selection of beef sticks, curds, and other snack type items.
Definitely a place to visit.”

We gave him a budget and he created the perfect dessert assortment that fit our event beautifully. Thank you to the Bishop’s Sweets team for helping make our event extra special. We ordered plantains and the flavor was on point. The chupe de camarones was incredible — rich, flavorful, and comforting — and the ceviche con camarones y pescado was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was fresh and perfectly seasoned.

“Lou is funny, charming, and wonderful. The burgers were delicious, and enormous. The drinks are very reasonably priced, it's a great little, tiny, casual, local bar.

She helps me navigate this large, fabulous menu & she has never steered us wrong. She is so knowledgeable, fast & friendly. I only wish every place had a Katie to accent a menu this delicious. “This family-owned Chinese restaurant is amazing! I ordered the chicken fried rice and chicken dumplings. The fried rice was served warm and was perfectly balanced. It was golden-brown, savory, and flavor-packed. I couldn't resist it! The dumplings were excellent as well. They were very savory and were truly mouthwatering.
The environment of the store is very nice as well. It's a chill place that's not too loud and is decorated in nicely. The employees are very kind and friendly, and the owners are great people as well. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area looking for some authentic, delicious Chinese food.”

“Stopped in for drinks and wings! The wings were delicious. They were definitely fried and then grilled to perfection. I got the buffalo and the spicy Parmesan garlic. We got a generous serving of ranch as well with both flavors. The bartender was very attentive and the atmosphere was nice. Will definitely be back.”
