We come here weekly like clockwork now - before moving here it was my choice when I’d come up from IL to visit (when it was my time to pick) - for the Jacks, Ecto Cooler & the Parm fries but also for the EXCEPTIONAL service by Katie. She helps me navigate this large, fabulous menu & she has never steered us wrong. She is so knowledgeable, fast & friendly. I only wish every place had a Katie to accent a menu this delicious. We had such a great time, we came back late Saturday and the experience was even better. Shawn and his staff and customers are awesome! I highly recommend this place for your after party for events at The Gage - there is a nice area towards the back with pool and darts where your group can mingle and it's a safe/easy walk back to the Home2Suites across from The Gage. “This was our 1st. time here and it certainly didn't disappoint! Atmosphere was really nice, cozy but still fun. Our waitress Eliza was super, checking on us but never pushy. She gave us some great recommendations that were absolutely delicious. We started with sharing a cup of corn and crab chowder, beet and goat cheese salad and sautéed crawfish with crossttini. Everything was fantastic, not to spicy hot just seasoned well. Main course was also great, steak and mashed potatoes....super tender and juicy steak came out exactly like we ordered...perfect meduim rare. That doesn't happen often. Also had the blacken salmon with asparagus and beans and rice. Again can't say enough it was delicious. Then to top the evening off we shared the beneignts with a fruit sauce. YUMMY Kudos to you all the chef and waite staff and Eliza for a great dining experience.”

“We have traveled extensively throughout the United States and Caribbean. In fact, we are three states away from being in all fifty. This hotel is one of the best planned and run that we have ever stayed in! The check in agent was busy on a work related call but managed to check us in so we didn’t have to wait. The room was spotless and smelled very clean. The bed was oriented facing the window which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. Rather enjoyed that. Very comfortable pillows, two seemed to be feather. An honest to goodness nightlight was provided in the bathroom instead of nothing or a green glowing panel. The floor to ceiling sliding glass door in the shower insured no fighting with a curtain to keep water off the floor. Nicely arranged bathmat to look like a butterfly. Speaking of the shower, how nice the have the water control on the opposite wall from the shower head so you don’t get sprayed with cold water. A nice big shower also. PLENTY of outlets and USB fast charging ports in the room also, much appreciated! Well appointed gym. The breakfast room in the morning was well designed with tvs on several walls so no matter which way you faced, made for easy viewing. The breakfast among other things consisted of scrambled eggs, hash browns and nice crisp bacon. Muffins, waffles, breads etc made for a breakfast to please anyone. All well serviced and maintained by staff. USA Today was provided both downstairs and by the elevator on the floors. Ample parking and walking distance from a Walgreens and restaurants. Right across the the State Fairgrounds also. All in all, congratulations to the management and a place we will definitely stay at again should we find ourselves in Milwaukee!”

“My work had a food truck day and it was my 1st time trying Fatty Patty. They did not disappoint. I ordered the Chicken Filet sandwich and it was the BEST Chicken sandwich that I have had. The chicken was hand breaded and was so moist. Also got their Cheese Curds and they were delicious. Service was quick and the workers were very friendly. Also kudos to them working in their trucks when the temps were around 90. They did an amazing job. Would definitely recommend them for your event and I will try them again in the future.”

If we are going to meet for dinner or brunch, chances are good I’m dragging you to Layman’s. I appreciate the skill and work these two put into brewing great beer and making yummy food. The fishfry with that tartar sauce is the best. Smash burgers for breakfast yes please! The bartenders are always crafting some delicious cocktails, and I mean crafting. If you’re still on the fence once Sarah comes around and entices you with her apple pie, you’ll be hooked! My hope really is that this place makes it for years to come and expands to other parts of the city! The design of the place has a vibe that invites you in to stay awhile. To enjoy the flavors of the food entries offered. Each one I have to imagine just as good as what I had. This being my first time there I left with a happy heart and a happy tummy! “I had ordered a pizza last night from Alphonso‘s and I thought it was the absolute worst pizza I ever had when it arrived at my house. It was almost burnt. I called and complained to the manager. He said he would do everything he could to make it up to me. So I stopped in today and they gave me a pizza and one of their sandwiches and I haven’t had the sandwich yet because I’m too full from the pizza, it was a night and day difference From yesterday to today. It was excellent.”

“We went to the West Allis Cheese and Sausage Shoppe as I was looking for a Milwaukee area sandwich shop. The location of this store/cafe is great as there are a number of places to eat and other shops to stop in at.

So this cafe serves breakfast, lunch, coffee….we tried a little of everything. The sandwiches were good. Cheese soup amazing. Breakfast sandwiches huge. Next to the cafe is a deli you can shop at while you wait for your food. The deli has your typical sliced meats and cheeses but also a selection of beef sticks, curds, and other snack type items.
Definitely a place to visit.”

We gave him a budget and he created the perfect dessert assortment that fit our event beautifully. Thank you to the Bishop’s Sweets team for helping make our event extra special. “While Milwaukee is world renowned as a city of bars, bars, bars…and bars, the city’s bar culture is unmatched anywhere else. Every bar has its own personality and stories inside their walls. What I like about here is the old school, no-fuss feel but particularly their wonderful hot sandwiches. I started with their popular Italian Bomber with mushrooms. That was so good that I followed it with a Chucktender Steak Sandwich which was soooo juicy and perfectly tender. Both sandwiches were so flavorful that I returned for a Double Cheeseburger with grilled onions. Excellent. The meat is cooked on an old grate grill which adds to the “frozen in time” feel here. Mind you, fries or tots aren’t served here. Cards are accepted (formerly cash only). The sandwiches and cozy neighborly atmosphere in addition to the lovely sandwiches (served on thick bread halves and not buns) makes here a winner in my book.”

“I have heard alot about this place, good & bad but had to try it for myself. Ordered 2 large pizzas and 2 garlic bread. Very good pizza, garlic bread was ok. I say just ok because it was carryout and with it being wrapped, it got a little soft, I'm sure if you eat there it would be crisper. I was told 45 minutes after I ordered, it was ready within 5 minutes of that time. Definitely in my top 3 places for pizza and will order from here again.”

It was the first time I have been to a Subway since I moved into the area and I have never in any place I have lived have someone make a sub exactly how I wanted and he was super friendly. Definitely an ideal worker to have. I am fairly sure a coworker tried to make a mean comment about him still being at the same station when I asked him for something else that send him back over to it. I sure hope that wasnt the case, but if it was he definitely didnt deserve it. He was an incredibly kind, hard working guy I hope great things happen for him.”

“Was in Dim Sum heaven. Everything was so fresh and steaming hot. But the thing that almost made me emotional was the Hong Kong Style Wonton soup. The dumpling wrap and noodles were so fresh they reminded me of going to Chinatown in Toronto as a kid and later in Chicago's Chinatown. Can’t wait to go back!”
