“After picking up from here, I had a fairly long trip to get home. All the way I was hoping two things: that the food would be as good as I remembered from years ago, and that it would last the trip. And: after a long time on the road, the food was excellent, still in top condition - and even still fairly hot! Prices here are not the lowest, but the quality and the portion sizes more than make up for the difference.Wheelchair accessibility: Washroom use requires a long flight of stairs“
“GREAT EXPERIENCE! 1st time here and boy did WE FEEL RIGHT AT HOME! Lucas our awesome server was super helpful!! All recommended food and broth was amazing. Their “mild” spice is definite try… Start with mild first and work from there…“
“I personally haven’t dined at their restaurant location yet because I haven’t got the time. But when I do I will. However I had ordered twice online because of the social media reviews. From its Laotan Sauerkraut Basa Fish bowls to its Hot Spicy Boiled Beef stew, the dishes here are flavour-packed and give diners a taste of the Sichuan-style cuisine the restaurant is known for.I think I’m hooked ……in case anyone didn’t get the dad fish joke.“
“Excellent little place for noodles!!! I got a beef shank dry thin noodle and a fried chicken for take out. Noodles were perfectly seasoned and not oily. Chicken was juicy and crunchy even when I got home. Well marinated. When you order on their website, you can choose how spicy, how numbing, how oily etc. lots of customizations. I just chose regular for everything as this was my first time eating here. The only down side is it is a small shop; so waiting for your meal can be long during lunch hours. But I would wait for their food again!!“
“Bring your appetite and empty bellies :) the happy hour after 9pm is totally worth the price.Came back to Cho Cho during daytime and the food never disappoints. Everything is esp fresh and very very filling. They have select dim sum available in the daytime along with their usual choices of fresh ingredients to choose from. We ordered the unlimited drinks but I was only able to try one flavour since I got really full.“
“First time trying aroma eatery and I was so impressed. It tasted exactly like the food I've had in Taiwan. I had given up on good Taiwanese food in Vancouver for so long because I've been disappointed so many times but this place really gave me hope again! We got the combo for 2 and it was so worth it. The combo came with two black teas, two dishes of our choice, and a stir fry vegetable dish and a deep fried tofu dish. It only costed 38$. This is one of my best restaurant finds in a while. I HIGHLY recommend it!“
“The servers were really helpful and accommodating with our group of 11 people and 2 toddlers. Service was top notch. Food was very tasty and the dessert bar was great. Food is pricy but definitely will recommend and will come back again.“
“Love the unlimited noodles refills. Just wish they provide extra soup as well! Although the food is good, I honestly feel guilty when eating here because the restaurant is doing so much harm to the environment by using plastic bowls, paper cups, wooden chopsticks, etc for dine in customers. I really wish they can change that soon.“
“I was surprised to see the shop still quite busy despite arriving near the closing hour on a Sunday. The shop is spacious and bright. They have space to cater both bigger groups and solo dinners. There is parking in the plaza but not a lot, so plan ahead! The staff were quick to cater to customers arriving and they explain how much the waiting time was immediately. They also take both cash and card As soon as I was seated, they served hot tea. If you order a spicy dish, they give you an option of how spicy how you want your food (ie., mild, medium, hot spicy). I ordered a medium spicy No.45 with biang biang noodles (Hot Spicy Oil on Brised Beef Noodles), and the spiciness was not too bad at all. The sauce was just the right amount of savoury - there was no overpowering element, and I really enjoyed the balanced taste. The beef was tender and the cabbage still had a little crunch to it. The biang biang noodles were the highlight of this meal, of course. It's thick and chewy, and so fun to eat! Next time I'll have to try their cold noodles and dumplings!“
“Very good non-Cantonese style Chinese food. This place serves mixed styles of cuisine, and does everything amiably with good authenticity and taste. Their set meals also seem to be a pretty good deal. Definitely want to try everything they have on the menu!“
“Aunt Karrie's service attitude is super good, she's really gentle, and the bone soup base is super delicious. It really feels like it's the same as in China. I'm going back to China instantly. I really love Aunt Karrie so much! ! !“
“I moved into the neighborhood recently from North Burnaby which has an excellent food scene. I’ve eaten here a couple times now, and everything was excellent each time. Delicious wontons, wonderful Shanghai noodles, and warm friendly service from a lovely family run establishment. Highly recommend to everyone hungry for delicious food.“
“Today is my first time to eat Happy Lamb. Sister Jun's service is so considerate. It gives us the feeling of going back to our own home to eat. I have to give this service a five-star rating. I hope the manager will praise it. Such excellent staff❤️❤️“
“Had a long time ago kebab dinner tonight. I’ve bought takeaway mutton skewers before. When they found out it was my birthday today, they gave me a big bowl of longevity noodles. We ordered mutton skewers with fried rice, mutton skewers, chicken wings, grilled buns...every dish was delicious. Although they are very busy, the service is very good. We will visit again.“
“The food at this restaurant is fantastic. It is one of my families go to restaurant and we drive 30 minutes out of our way just for the restaurant. The food is fresh, flavourful, and hearty. We always get a few extra samsas and meat pies to eat over the next few days because they are delicious and so well made. Everything we’ve tried at the restaurant has been exceptional, with our favourites being the ququre soup, polo, and dapanji.“
“I can't say enough about this amazing jewel of a restaurant. Fresh cut noodles, pulled noodle from the broths to the fried its all amazing!! Then the pork dumblings and the lamb dumplings are so fresh and beautiful. It's authentic and delicious - if you like mild to hot, try this place as soon as possible. Most certainly on my top 5 list in new west and im a trained chef.“
“Loved the ambience from the detailed statues in entrance to the neat Inchin-specific place settings, you feel the vibe of the pan-Asian experience. The service is wonderful, servers are knowledgeable about the origin of the dishes and can recommend options depending on your preferred spice level and what you feel like trying! Nick, the bartender, is passionate about the creative drinks he makes and can even tailor a drink as per your own likes…the service is very fast and food is plentiful, we have been a few times and very happy each time. Love the crispy chilli honey chicken, step up from sweet and sour. And the samosas are amazing, I recommend with the sweet chilli sauce at the table. I loved the chocolate spring rolls for dessert and the mango lassi was refreshing and sweet, a perfect drink to accompany spicy food. Kiran is a great server, will answer your questions and is fun and informative in suggesting options!“
“I highly recommend happy lamb hot pot to anyone looking for a delightful hot pot dining experience. What truly stood out was Mila’s ability to anticipate my needs and ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was seamless. The combination of great food, excellent service, and inviting ambiance makes it a standout choice for a memorable meal.“
“I found out about the place from a friend. We came as a group and we are truly happy with the food. They are tasty and the price is pretty decent and affordable. You will have a variety of Korean food choices. We were welcomed the moment we entered and the persons who served us were also very accommodating. We didn’t really wait long and the wait is really worth it. It is a best place to hang out with friends, colleagues and family to share sumptuous food. Highly recommended to those enjoy eating and hang out together. Surely will come back here and bring friends.“
“This place is located in the crystal mall food court! I have been coming to this stall for a decade with my family. Their dumplings are all great, but their store signature dish is the pork dumplings with roasted peanuts and szechuan oil numbing spice. It is amazing! I ask for medium spicy because it is quite spicy! I highly reccomend trying this! The food court here is always busy for a good reason. :) Tables can be hard to find in the food court when it is peak hours. But it is worth it“
“First time coming here today. I have seen it a few times and decided it would he a good choice for dinner. I am glad did. I ordered the spring rolls which were delicious. The chicken soft chow mein which tasted amazing. I don't usually find ones I like but this one was great. I also go the kung pow chicken which the flavors were full and tasty. I am excited to go back to try more“
“Waitresses are super friendly with warm welcome to us when we entered the restaurant. We ordered 2 cuttlefish & Meatballs Noodles Soup, BBQ Pork with Noodle in Soup, Beef & Flat Rice Noodle Black Bean and a tray of egg custard tarts. Total is only $73.41, considered cheap in my opinion.Portions for those noodle soup are not really big though. Beef & Flat Rice Noodle portion was big becoz it cost $24.98. This dish taste is okay but not great. While their noodle soup's soup base is bland, don't have flavour, but their BBQ pork taste is yummy!Egg custard tart crust is so crisp crust, felt like melting in your mouth. Tart size is small and taste just decent, nothing special.Environment is nice and comfy if you seat in the middle of the restaurant, but if you choose to seat at the corner near their kitchen entrance and their counter area, then you will feel a bit messy.Next time I will try their Dimsum. Saw 2 tables next to me having dimsum. Their dimsum basket is big.“
“The service here is very fast . Restaurant looks very pretty and the food, I’ve never tasted such delicious Chinese food in my life until today. I recommend everyone to try here at least once. Will not regret or forget!A true hidden-gem!P.S - the food may look spicy but they can make it taste super amazing without the spice and look red at the same time !“
“I think this is going to be my new favourite hot pot restaurant. Not only is it beautifully decorated, had attentive and friendly service but the quality of food was outstanding. We had the tomato broth and the flavour was beautiful. Very good selection of skewers and good selection of side dishes. I’m usually very sensitive to MSG in food but couldn’t detect any in any of their dishes which is a huge plus for me. Good quality ingredients prepared professionally! Thanks for a great dinner experience. (This was our second visit, both times were throughly enjoyable).“
“Very tasty food! The owners were very helpful with the menu and patient with us. We came 30 minutes before closing and told us to don't rush even after closing! The food was very flavorful, highly recommend the beef cumin bao. The bread to meat ratio was perfect! The lamb noodle soup was very tasty too!“
“Their hongkong stlye congee is highly recommendable, its my favourite meal to get before I go to coffee monster or library to study. Their prices are also very affordable which are perfect for students like me. They also have great service and both of them are so sweet and nice to their “
“We got the dinner for 2 and couple of other dishes.. the waiter let its swap one of the dishes out of the dinner for 2. Which made my wife and o happy they did that.. all in all the meal was very tasty.. the workers are friendly.. can’t say anything bad about the place..“
“Its a good place if you are craving chinese/nepalese cuisine. I was craving for thukpa so visited it. We ordered veg thukpa, monchow soup, steamed momos, chilli momos, mushrooms, nepalese noodles. Everything was served quickly. Servers were polite. Food was delicious. We customized spice level as medium and i think we did the right thing. Ambience was soothing with touch of buddhist culture in the background. They do have deal of the day but sadly it was not available the day we went. So a bit disappointed coz the pamphlet in the table mentioned about deal of the day which we can get free if the server doesnt inform us about it. But when asked it wasn’t available. That feels like a fake promise to a customer. But otherwise it was affordable and delicious. Will surely visit again.“
“Very kind and active waitress and delicious foods. What I tried were good, but I think can make it better…As an Asian, I think those food quality are on average. But if you’re the one not always having Asian food, you will feel satisfied with that.“
“This place is amazing. I’ve been here two times and both times they didn’t disappoint, staff were very attentive and accommodating with me and my mother. There are many things and combinations to choose from on the menu. I ordered the triple iron plate with Grilled Squid, 3 Lamb Skewers, and Deep Fried Fish Filet with a Sunny Side-up Egg and noodles (w/ corn, peas and carrots). The Mushroom Tomato sauce compliments the meat and noodles when drizzled on top. It is so0o0o delicious. I also ordered the Assorted Fried Basket A1 (mix of breaded chicken nuggets, Taiwanese sausage, fish cakes, prawn crackers, and green beans). I recommend getting the Brown Garlic Dipping Sauce - it cost $0.75 extra but totally worth it with the basket. I also ordered a Mango Slush with Boba Pearls + Pudding. I would definitely come back again to try other dishes.“
“The way the tables and individual soups are designed is smart. With 6 of us we ordered 4 combos between us and a bunch of sides and we were stuffed. The combo had a huge bowl of veg, shrimp and dumplings so there is variety. 3 Kids shared a bowl and that was still plenty. Great quality and service. Rare you can get the taste, value and service from a legit Chinese restaurant. Check out this place vs a joke of a Singaporean restaurant next door.“
“The best siopao in town! It reminds me of my childhood with good old siopao that is fresh and very fluffy. The price has gone up over the years but we still come here even with cheaper places around. Their breads and pastries are also really good!“
“There are many kinds of dishes and the service attitude is good. I will consider bringing friends here to try it next time.Parking: There are other businesses nearby, and the parking spaces are slightly insufficient, making it difficult to park.“
“Fantastic dining experience. Our server Sherry was incredible. Sherry was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and never made us feel rushed while maintaining timely service. The food was spectacular. They say everything is made in house. You are served proof of that with every course. Thank you LuLu Kitchen for a great meal!“
“The price is fair and the owner is very friendly. The BBQ beef rice is popular and kids like it. I ordered curry beef but it's under average ?. Surprisingly, the bubble tea is better than I expected. The pearls are soft and chewy like chat time. It's a good value when ordering the combo. It's also kid friendly too. I would go back again :-) just not ordering curry beef..lol..“
“I drive all the way from Richmond just to eat here. The portions are so damn big and the food tastes so good. The staff and owners are very friendly and these factors to come together to produce such a pleasant atmosphere.Ordering the combo yields the best value and I'd recommend getting the sauce on the side so you can 1) choose how much you want and 2) can taste but the with/without sauce taste!“
“Pretty surprised with the quality of food. The price was on the expensive side but the taste and flavor is worth it. They don't skimp out on the ingredients.Vegetarian options: Not that many options but they can customize dishes for vegetarians“
“I was wanting to try laksa and so my friend took me here. I would come here just for the roti!! Sooooo good!! I love Malaysian roti the best!!! But I did want some laksa and so I ordered the curry laksa with chicken as recommended by my friend. It did not disappoint! I liked the level of spice which was just enough for me to feel a kick but didn’t overwhelm my buds so I could taste the food. The broth was so good I was pretty much drinking it when I was done all the noodles and protein. lol. I would definitely come back here but the only set back for me is the distance as it’s not that close to me but a drive here would be worth it. The service was good they don’t converse much in dialogue but they were quick to remove any empty dishes or fill our cups with water.“
“A small Chinese restaurant hidden away in the corner of the plaza that serves large portions of food that is served to you quickly and hot on the plates. The food portions are much bigger than you anticipate and you likely will have food for 2-3 meals. The servers are friendly and helpful with your requests. Takeout is also packed neatly and they also offer delivery.“
“Wow! Just enjoyed a gluten/dairy/msg-free dinner from Chili Dragon, and it was fantastic! We had salt and pepper fried calamari and it was crispy and tasty; amazed that it wasn’t soggy on arrival. It was accented with some jalapeño slices, onions, and green pepper strips - absolutely delicious! For mains we had crispy ginger beef, stir-fried mix veggies, and Kung Pao prawns (and a side of rice). All dishes were fantastic! Sauces seemed authentic and delicious, and each matched the dish (unlike some places that seem to pour the same sauce on everything). The ginger beef had long strips of ginger, almost candy - mmmmm?. Also, the beef was in chunks instead of strips - a wonderful beef to crispy coating ratio and better, imo, than the traditional strips. The veggies were fresh and cooked well. All in all this was one of the best Chinese meals we’ve enjoyed, regardless of the gluten/dairy/msg avoidance. A perfect combination of spicy, sweet, and salty - great job!!We had three mains and the calamari appie, so too much food for two, but we will definitely be enjoying the leftovers tomorrow.I should add we used Skip for delivery. We’ve had some lousy experiences with them, but today was a pleasant exception. Farisha was the driver - prompt, pleasant, and professional. All the food was hot and fresh; she didn’t waste any time getting it to us.Highly recommend Chili Dragon.Dietary restrictions: See comments above. Almost all menu items are gluten free.“
“Had a positive experience at this location, the beef soup was a nice comfort food, simple and tasty broth. We tried the assorted marinated platter and the shank and chicken gizzard were my fav. Overall a good experience, the one waitress was super friendly, attentive and went above and beyond with her service.“
“A good place to enjoy a quick lunch of Xiao Long Bao dumplings and Pan fried buns. XLB skin was not too thin/thick and the pan fried buns were light, fluffy, and crispy on the bottom with soup inside. Only thing is service could have been slightly better and waited a while for the pan fried buns.“
“Authentic and homemade tasting dishes. My only gripes are their waiting times (often quite long) and their unpredictable starting hours. I’ve often gone to Henderson Mall with the sole purpose of eating at Tong’s, only for them to be unexpectedly closed or delayed in opening by multiple hours.Considering that this is just a mom-and-pop food court stall, they still deserve 5 stars from the delicious food alone.“
“To preface, anyone criticizing the waitresses or service have not eaten here and interacted with them. I think, honestly speaking, people who have a negative service experience just aren't sociable themselves and cannot have meaningful conversations. Additionally, anyone critiquing the food quality or its authenticity, do not understand that this is a Yunnan-specialized restaurant, not a Sichuan restaurant. I have seen plenty reviews below mine that cannot tell the difference, either visually or by taste. Also, there are some reviews that say that the orders get mixed up; those people are simply moronic. I have sat next to said individuals while eating here, and those people cannot differentiate between species or sub-species of vegetables and accuse the restaurant of serving something else (ex. reviewer "kevin gao").Probably most general reviewers don't care, but I do care about giving this place a good name that it deserves. I always eat dinner here on weekends with my family because the food is outstanding. If there is a criticism, I would say the prices are getting expensive, but we are dealing with record inflation in 2023-2024.Anyways, the depth of flavour is rich; you can really taste the different types of spices and their affect on your palate. The chefs are very skilled at what they do; exceeding the already high bar of good Chinese restaurants, by being able to cook a variety of dishes that are very difficult to cook. I'm not talking about the normal Western-catering restaurants, where they basically prepare glorified cafeteria "Chinese" food, that some readers might like (more power to you). Same goes for those newer mainland Chinese immigrant-catering restaurants that only specialize in one recipe, whereby the only variety is just garnish or seasoning (i.e., "McDonald's for the Chinese").But genuinely, if you haven't tried this restaurant, give it a fair chance. Finally, the waitresses are nice and kind, and put up with a lot in their already busy work lives, yet their quality of service has not dropped.“
“My partner is from Taiwan and claims their stewed pork rice is better than the ones they had the last time they visited home. We've also had their pork and chive dumplings which are really great. Haven't tried the rest of the menu but I think if you try any of the traditional Taiwanese or Chinese dishes you're gonna enjoy it! Plus the name is super cute "Come Home Quickly!'“
“My family and I had dinner there and it wasn't busy since it was a later dinner. It was nice and clean there. Owner was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and portions were big and worth the money spent.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly. My nephew got free treats after dinner.“
“The food was pretty good, the lamb was especially good. It's more delicious than lamb skewer restaurants. If you can't eat tzuran,I think it would be a good idea to talk about it in advance and make some adjustments.Dim sum isn't great, but it's not bad.Parking: Convenient free parking in front of the store“
“Had the party tray size of the fried beef with rice noodle, shrimp fried rice, and the fried green bean Szechuan style and all of it was solid tasting for what it was and standard as expected. The shrimp fried rice had lots of juicy shrimp pieces, the fried beef with flat rice noodle was typical, and the fried green bean Szechuan style was the highlight dish bursting with sweet chili, savoury soy, and mild spiciness. Highly recommend their green beans.“
“My go to place for pizza, I’d give them a rating of 10/10, they have the best Shahi paneer, and achari paneer in surrey bc, their pizza so good I come here once a week for pizza, I would definitely recommend to my friends and family, thank you.“
“We went to Kurumba Restaurant alot when my children were younger because they had activities in Port Moody. We haven't been there in awhile. The minute we stepped in it felt like home. The food is still excellent. The Singapore Hokkien Mee is especially good as is the Thai style green curry. We also had the Beef Char Hor Fun - our family favourite. If you are from Singapore and long for a taste of home, go to Kurumba Restaurant and be thoroughly satisfied. Chef/Owner surprised us all by still recognizing us after our long while away. Thank you Chef for continuously giving us delicious authentic dishes.“
