“I never leave reviews for spots but this place is such an underhyped gem of Alameda. The chicken is amazing and juicy, their slaw is perfectly crunchy and acidic, and their fries are fried to perfection. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS SPOT!!!! One thing to note is that this is a to go resturaunt but thats not a problem just go to a nearby park and enjoy your delicious food!!“

“The food was authentic and fresh. We ordered baingan bharta and dal makhani. The best we had since last 3 decades. The Tava roti was so soft. Lachcha paratha was perfect. To top it all the best customer service. Kudos for doing an excellent job from front to back of the restaurant!“

There was a huge diversity of options. Saw there was a Mochi fish tofu then ? it was very interesting. Got pretty much everything I wanted. There was even a sauce bar. Only complaint is that the soup base was slightly salty

“Had a fantastic time celebrating our friend's 50th wedding anniversary tonight! Service was warm, caring and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but the watermelon salad and whole roast chicken were the clear winners!
Margaritas go down way too easy, but are pricey at $15/drink. Chocolate chip & oatmeal cookie was tasty but they charge $9 for a single cookie!!! Our tab after tax and tip was $320+ for 5 margaritas, 1 mocktail, watermelon salad, roasted carrots, duck leg, filet mignon, whole roast chicken, 1 cookie and 1 coffee.
It's too pricey for a regular meal, but worth the occasional splurge for sure!“

“I really loved the Lao Special menu. You can order small portion of diverse foods. I ordered several items I have never eaten before, and they were all fantastic. The fermented pork sausage was the most "out there" dish from an American point of view: I didn't even know such a thing existed. Nice interior, and the service is great. This is some of the best Laotian food I've tried in the Bay. It turns out the portions are pretty generous, so I took soke home for another meal.“

“Such a lovely experience. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with such warmth. The gentleman who helped us was not only kind but clearly passionate about what he does, and we enjoyed a great conversation with him. The food was fantastic—the chicken shish and lamb combo plate was so flavorful and tender, rice so tasty. Don’t leave without trying the baklava and my sister and I will be back for the Turkish tea and coffee; they’re an absolute treat. Thank you!“

“We initially tried to come here on a Friday at 7 PM but there seemed to be a long wait so we decided to check it out on a Wednesday and we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table. This location was originally a Taco Bell, but I love the atmosphere there, friendly, good service and comforting food! It's a cozy place perfect for a cold wintry day to have your own little boiling hot pot of tasty broth and hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Hubby ordered the Lau Pork Bone Marrow and I had the Lau Oxtail. I ordered the Oxtail without the tripe, just more oxtail! The hot pot came out boiling with oxtail and beef balls. All I had to do was cook the egg noodles, taro, tofu, cabbage, veggies into the soup as there was plenty of delicious oxtail and meat balls in the delicious broth! Great for a bone chilling night! Next time I'd love to try the shaken beef!“

“Delicious burgers with options to suit all tastes. They have beef, chicken, and veggie patties as well as some without Pakistani spices for picky eaters like my daughter. I’ve been to Sushi Ken in Fremont several times now, and every visit has been absolutely fantastic. This place truly never disappoints. The staff—both the servers and the chefs—are always so welcoming and kind, which makes the dining experience feel extra special every time.
One of the first things I love is the free appetizer they serve right away—usually edamame, fries, or sometimes both! It’s such a fun and tasty surprise to start your meal. The sushi itself is delicious and always priced at a great value, which means I usually end up ordering several rolls (no regrets!). The best part? The service is fast—my food always comes out quickly, with hardly any wait time at all.
To top it all off, they bring you a free scoop of ice cream for dessert, which is such a thoughtful and sweet way to end the meal. It’s those little touches that make this spot stand out.
The atmosphere is also really nice—spacious, clean, and with plenty of seating. It never feels cramped or rushed. Plus, it’s located in an outdoor shopping center with plenty of parking, which makes it super convenient.
If you're in Fremont and craving sushi, Sushi Ken is a must-try. Delicious food, unbeatable value, kind service, and a welcoming space—it checks all the boxes. Highly recommend!“

“We are from Connecticut, and during a recent trip to the Bay Area, we had the extreme good fortune to try the Afghan Awasana Kabob House. Oh my ... what an experience! The food was superb … an epicurean delight, but also plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The qabuli palow - a lamb shank dish was a standout, and the squash bolani - a stuffed flatbread was out of this world. The owner was very friendly during dinner, only to be surpassed by what happened after our dinner. Upon leaving, our car would not start. The owner offered to jump start our car. When that did not work, he offered us a ride back to the house where we were staying ... which we gratefully accepted. On the way, while we were thanking him profusely, he indicated that this was not an imposition as he routinely gave rides to his workers. I was moved to tears with his generosity. The Afghan Awasana Kabob House stimulated my palate, satiated my appetite, and above all, nourished my soul with renewed faith in the kindness of humanity. A truly memorable evening that will not soon be forgotten.“

“I got the special combo ham sandwich without cilantro and jalapeno - but I found a jalapeno in my sandwich. My partner also found jalapeno in #20 grilled pork with lemon grass even it was ordered with no jalapeno. Beside that complaint, the banh mi was really good! The bread is soft and crunchy without hurting the roof of our mouth and it's fully stuffed with the meats and veggies while being affordable!
Although the inside of the shop is clean and organized, the streets is seemingly sketchy and dirty looking so be cautious. It might be hard to find parking.
Otherwise, it's worth to stop by to try!“

“Creative menu, all house made ingredients except pepperoni. Best pizza where special attention is given to create the most amazing crust in both flavor and texture. The dough is fermented for two days. To maintain the crispy crust at the table, it is delivered to the table with a screen insert between the pizza and the pizza pan. No other restaurant that I know of goes to that extent to maintain quality. Creative ingredients are offered such as the creamy garlic sauce. Creative salads such as their Tiffany Salad: Baby kale, maple-Dijon vinaigrette oven roasted butternut squash, 6-minute egg, applewood bacon, blue cheese Creative nibblers such as their South Indian Deviled Eggs: Lime Pickle, Chaat Masala, Chickpea Crisps, Cilantro The interior is warm and inviting along with Friendly and helpful staff. The owner is very knowledgeable about beers bringing 24 local craft beers to the offering as well as beer pairing recommendations. There is a lounge which is available for parties. “We had food catered & delivered from them. All the food was authentic, super tasty, well packaged and presented. Everyone loved it & mentioned multiple times. I recommend them wholeheartedly. We ordered Chicken Curry, Dal Makhani, Paneer Veggie Sabji, Raita, Naan, Rice, Salad & Rose Kheer. Rose Kheer was so yummy. Chicken Curry tasted homemade Punjabi. It was delicious. Paneer Sabji & Daal were also very yummy. Spices were mild. You can't go wrong by ordering from them.“
