“Cute place. Lovely staff. Neat atmosphere. When you walk in through the humble entryway, you're immediately greeted by a welcoming smile and a hello. We were asked if we wanted to dine or order takeout. Dining in offers you seating options up the stairs into the the room you can see to through the open wall at it's floor level. I found it quite enjoyable being able to see into the room above. Very cool style. You order, then you eat. You pay at the end. My friends and I were treated well and wished a happy holiday. So thoughtful! If you're looking for something new, try here!“

“Susuru holds a special place in my heart. I’ve tried a number of items on their menus and everything is ???. I can’t stress enough about how good this ramen is. I’ve only known about Susuru for a month or so but have eaten here over 8 times. All of the broths are rich and authentic. The Thai coconut curry ramen is mind blowing and a generous serving. My go tos are the Miso and Tonkatsu. Add spice for extra flavor. I brought my coworkers here and everyone’s bowls were finished down to the last drop of broth. Easily one of the best ramens shops in LA. It’s got a great mom and pop atmosphere. Food comes out quick. What else can I say, I’m in love with Susuru. Anytime I want ramen in the future, I’m going to come here. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water. ?“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

“Compared to a few years back this street food spot has gained a few more food stalls to neighbor it. There is now a bbq meet place, a salad and fresh foods place and a dessert one. I got three plates, one pad Thai, one pork fried rice and one of their new ground pork with egg dish. Pad Thai is good as always, fried rice was lacking flavor as before but they have seasoning for you to use. Their ground pork with egg was so good but holy crap it was spicy. It did have a good spice though I recommend it.“

They all love it! Perfect for pictures! It is a shame for not many people knowing this place, because they are only two tables occupied during our 1.5 hour visit. The only waitress is Miss Iris from Taipei. She is super nice and friendly! Fortunately, when we left, there were two parties coming in! We love the food maybe because the owner and the chef are from my hometown Taiwan, according to the waitress! The presentation is so beautiful! Perfect for my Facebook postings! “The 2024 Smorgasburg season kicked off today, 1/14/2024! While it is not close to me, I usually go at least once or twice a month. It's an ideal spot for outdoor dining with diverse culinary offerings, exploring distinctive shops, and soaking in a positive atmosphere.Smorgasburg LA is open every Sunday on the five-acre site of the weekday Alameda Produce Market in Downtown Los Angeles, which is part of a larger, new development called ROW DTLA.Each Sunday from 10 AM - 4 PM, you will find dozens of exciting food vendors plus sophisticated shopping from the realms of design, craft, style, vintage, wellness, and more. Cultural events, pop-ups, and other surprises transform the vast site into a new node in Downtown LA's burgeoning scene, and a unique destination for the area.Today, I tried Pad See Ew from the Radna Silom vendor. In terms of rating for that, I want to give it 4.5 stars due to price and portion ($15+tax and not much on the plate). I remember it being larger before.Overall, it is a must-check out for various foodie options.Tip:-Free 2 hr parking-Take your food outside of the main space and sit in the main ROW area-Go with others to try many things“

“I came to this place on a Thursday afternoon and let me tell you: I am a huge enthusiast of Thai food but it gets harder and harder by the day to pick up one spot that is above all of the others. This place is a strong contender for that first place, though: it has it all, reasonable prices, great food, amazing service and chill ambiance. The server was a woman with short hair and glasses who truly went above and beyond for us (I should have asked for her name but I forgot). Everything, including non-traditional items like fried shrimp cake was just cooked to perfection. It all came out quickly and piping hot. Parking was fantastic too. “When thinking of soup in the Pasadena area we have our favorite places. Last Friday evening we tried this fairly new Ramen place that has been open about two years. When walking in we were greeted and seated quickly. The place was not so busy for a Friday evening but later more customers did arrive which is a good sign. We were seated and the menu was simple and prices were in the range of other soup restaurants in the area. We got our water and tea quickly and the servers kept our water glasses full. Very attentive staff. My wife ordered the gyoza and the Tonkatsu ramen and I had the Shoyu Ramen. Food was delicious and if you don't like your food too salty, get the more creamier Tonkatsu Ramen. My Shoyu ramen had spinach which was surprisingly delicious. The food portions looked small but once we started eating they were very hearty portions. I was not able to finish my noodles. We will definitely be back as they also have Mazesoba here which is dry noodles with egg. Can't wait to try these dishes.“

“We ordered the (1) signature beef noodle soup, (2) qinghai clear cold noodle, and (3) cucumber salad. My favorite was surprisingly the qinhai clear cold noodle. (1) Signature beef noodle soup ($14.50) There were four options for what type of noodles we wanted in this soup. We chose the chewiest type which is called "knife cut." The overall flavor of the soup was good, but the chili oil was doing a lot of work. Also the knife cut noodle was great in texture, but I actually didn't love them. I much preferred the cold noodles that we ate instead which I found out is not an option you can choose. I actually probably wouldn't order this item again I would try something different. (2) Qinghai clear cold noodle ($10.80) I really enjoyed the flavor and the type of noodle selected. It was what brought me the most joy from the three food items we ordered. Definitely order this one! (3) Cucumber salad ($7.50) This was a refreshing appetizer. It was interesting how they combined the cilantro and cucumber together. I really liked the sauce it was covered in. Overall, I return to try the other plates and noodle options they offer! Also, it's wonderful that it's located on Colorado street where other businesses are right next door.“

“Arrived at 8:30 with no reservations. Waited about 1 hour for a table to open up. The check-in process was very efficient and you'll get a text when the table is ready. This location is in a mall so you can kill an hour easily. We were sat "outside" but it felt cozy with heaters and covered/private even though it is right next to Central Ave. (A main thoroughfare). Service was quick, friendly and efficient. You can fill out your own order on the slip provided, and then a server will review it with you to make sure you get what you want. They were great about communicating how the trays will be brought out, since they bring them out in stages to make sure you get them warm and fresh. Everything was fresh and tasty. We ordered 2 trays of soup dumplings, green beans, & potstickers plus a lychee green tea. Also the special sticky rice cooked in a taro leaf. So yummy. A+ for food and service. It was very busy and a bit loud so the atmosphere for me is nice, but no so chill. Still a solid B ++. Give it a try. You'll have a good time. Try something new.“

The orange chicken had a nice kick, the calamari wasn't too rubbery and I love the flavor the jalapeños added. He even gave us two complimentary teas- the mango mint which was to DIE for, and the black Sesame milk tea, which had a subtle and honestly kinda watery, but the aftertaste was really good. I could kinda tell this service was in hopes that we would leave a review, and he basically confirmed that by saying they were running a promotion where they hoped we would leave a review- however I started leaving this review before he said that lol. Anyways, great service and great food“

“By far one of the most authentic Taiwanese restaurants I've been to. I say this because they've nailed down classic dishes you'd find in Taiwan. The oyster pancake was spot on along with the sauce. Service is pretty fast. Definitely come here for delicious Taiwanese comfort food!“

“Great little restaurant for fast sushi. The staff and owners are amazing. They have pretty good sushi for pretty decent prices. However, I feel like for the price that you're paying you could probably get better sushi in town elsewhere. This sushi place is delicious is probably somewhere between, a high and sushi and a low and sushi place. Overall their rolls and their menu in general is pretty delicious. I'd highly recommend popcorn lobster roll. It's one of their staples and it's delicious.“

“3.8 stars As far as pho restaurants go, this place might be like a 3/5 stars, but I love that there are 2 tables outside because that means I can bring my dog!! And yes, I brought my dog. If you like pho, I am happy to report that this restaurant serves a decent one. The noodles are soft, onions are shaved paper thin (the way I like it!), and broth isn't overbearingly spiced. Also, you don't go home super thirsty like some places. The only downside was the toughness of the meat. Otherwise, perfectly edible. The second dish I ordered was the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio, vermicelli noodles w/ grilled pork & eggrolls. The eggrolls were great! The pork was just... ok. The vermicelli noodles, unfortunately, were not as smooth texturally as I prefer it...but still pretty decent. There's free parking on site and street parking. The food comes out pretty quickly. Service is decent.“

“We had the chilled sesame-soy shrimp noodle salad. It was cool and delicious, sesame-soy flavor. It was perfect to have at a warm weather such as today. But anything you get here, you won't be disappointed. They make it delicious and good portion size. They have excellent service and the staff are accommodating. I had asked for a cup of ice because my tea with the ice had melted away. The guy was nice and quick to bring me a cup of ice. Great staff, great service and beautiful ambiance sitting outside by the garden to eat delicious lunch. What more could you ask for?“

I usually get take out but enjoyed myself the few times I've eaten in the restaurant. Very nice people work here and the food is absolutely the best. This is the place I want to order from anytime I have a night to myself. I will just add that Vietnamese is one of my top 3 favorite types of food, and this is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant of all time.“

“Had dinner there with my wife, nice staff and quickly served. The waitress was nice and allowed to substitute chicken with tofu (your choice of regular or fried) for the curry, which was not on the menu. My wife really enjoys the mint chicken but I have to say that the curry was a little watery and tasted like most of the spice came from black pepper. A little odd, would probably try something else next time.“
