“I recently visited Galata Halal Restaurant and Grill, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious, every bite full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The hospitality here is top-notch and adds a special touch to the entire dining experience. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and warm, welcoming service. Will definitely be coming back!”
“To John Hansen, My wife and I would like to thank you for such a lovely evening. Chez Bacchus represents the “True Expression of a Dining Experience”. Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. He provided us with his expertise in choosing our wines, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. It was a pleasure to meet to give special thanks to the Chef, Danny Le and Su Chef, Donald. Their expertise is why we had an amazing and delicious dinner.”
“The venue is cute, the decorations are authentic, you feel like you step into a warm family’s home. It’s a family owned restaurant and you are greeted with a warm staff, all happy to help and guide you through the experience. In my foodie adventure chronicles, my friend brought me here for dinner and we enjoyed a hearty and delicious dinner, everything was cooked with love and the seasonings were amazing. We had the tacos with rice and beans and the flautas. We wrapped up our dinner with the delicious churros with ice cream dessert. It was such a good experience and the food was AMAZING. Will come again to try the rest of the menu when possible.”

“Great service. Decor was chic. Service on point, not rushed. Great place for a date.”
“Very cool bar! Went to Tokyo Noir but was closing, and in true Japanese omotanashi style, they referred me to visit Baby Gee and the night was saved! Had a great time and met more really cool people. Will be back!!”

“Came here for a meetup event and happily devoured their Bahn Mi sandwich. I love breweries that make a mean Bahn Mi and this one was quite savory. You order at the counter and they'll bring it out to your table via numbered placard. It was a nice night so my group and I sat outside. It's a chill environment, definitely a good place to gather. Definitely check this place out as it's in a newer, more upscale part of downtown.

“Husband and I went there last night during Haunt Hopping in Santa Ana -- and WOW!! Absolutely delicious, filling burgers and crispiest, hottest fries! Very friendly service. Hoping they open some locations near us, but until then, we'll make special trips -- they're that good!”
“Met up here with a friend on a random Friday for late breakfast. The soyrizo skillet was fantastic! I also had a bite of my friend's almond croissant and it was literally the best one I have ever had. Food came out quick. I can imagine that some days that parking is terrible, but both my friend and I parked within the block.”
“"Thai District is a culinary gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The food was absolutely amazing, bursting with authentic Thai flavors that transported us to Thailand. Scott, our server, went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. Not only did he provide impeccable service, but he also shared interesting tidbits about the area, like the length of the actual “Long Beach” in Long Beach, adding a delightful personal touch to our evening. We left feeling completely satisfied and already planning our next visit. Five stars all around for Thai District!"”

“Heritage Restaurant, Long Beach – A Well-Earned Michelin Star by Michael Broderick. In a city where “Californian” culinary ambition often plays second fiddle to casual dining, Heritage in Long Beach has carved out a place of quiet excellence, earning a well-deserved Michelin star. This intimate dining experience is a testament to ingredient-driven, technique-forward cooking, where flavors are both restrained, unpretentious, and deeply expressive. From the first bite, it was clear that Heritage excels at layering textures and flavors in unexpected ways. The meal began with an Amuse Bouche trio: a delicate prawn cracker topped with sweet Dungeness crab, a green leaf with another seafood salad that was to be eaten like a mini street taco, and balanced with the brightness and light crunch of pickled turnip. A seemingly simple couple of bites, but one that foreshadowed the precision and thoughtfulness of the courses to follow. To cleanse the palate, a mint tea infused with palo santo was served—a meditative interlude that was both refreshing and aromatic, setting the stage for the evening’s journey. The first official course, Crème Caviar, featured Russian Sturgeon Heritage Caviar and chive, a chilled preparation that was rich yet elegantly restrained. This was followed by Kanpachi Crudo, presented with carrot, ginger, and macédoine vegetables, offering a balance of clean ocean flavors against bright, vegetal undertones. Then came what I consider the star of the evening: a dish that fully captured the ethos of Heritage—Hen of the Woods Mushroom, topped in a “sunchoke stew” (crispy fried sunchoke) with fermented mushroom. For an additional $25, an indulgent shaving of black truffle took the dish to another level, transforming it into a sensory experience that evoked the deep, earthy satisfaction of foraging. The interplay of umami-rich elements made this course a masterpiece of textural and flavor contrast. The proteins that followed were executed with equal care. First, a perfectly prepared Rainbow Trout, sauted to perfection with a crispy layer of skin on one side, delicate pink flesh on the other, bathed in a delicate dashi and punctuated with bursts of smoked trout roe in a light creme sauce, which lent salinity and depth. Then, a 32-day dry-aged rib chop, a cut that can sometimes lean too “gamey” in the tradiinal steak house that cuts corners on a post aging trim, yet here was a revelation—tender, deeply beefy, but balanced. Accompanying the dish was sous vide endive, black garlic, and a shaving of Parmesan, which surprisingly lacked the usual sharpness, instead presenting a more rounded, delicate, nutty flavor. Desserts were a study in technique and balance. The first, a Grilled Strawberry with strawberry granita and Meyer lemon crème, was bright and refreshing, its layers revealing different expressions of cool and sweetness. Then came the Coco Craquelin, a delicate choux pastry filled with beurre noisette ganache and banana cremeux, meant to be eaten with the hands—a playful and interactive moment in the meal. Finally, a Sage Basque Cake, its subtle herbaceousness complemented by toasted hemp seeds and lemon curd, provided a grounding, crispy finish. Heritage is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t simply chase trends—it refines them into something personal, something intentional. The execution is confident but never showy, and the experience is paced with precision, allowing each dish to tell its own story. This is not just a meal—it’s a quiet, profound meditation on flavor, technique, and the land from which it all comes. Where other restaurant profess to be a true “Californian” style farm to table experience , Heritage is, without a doubt, a must-visit for anyone who seeks out truly exceptional dining in California.”

“Last night we went to Speak Cheezy on 4th St at Termino. First off, EXCELLENT customer service! We had the Shroomday Button (Oyster and Maitake Mushrooms/ White Wine Braised Leeks / Truffle Cheese / house stretched mozzarella / shredded mozz / parsley / post oven of lemon zest. *We love to add Hobbs Sausage*). I added that delicious sausage and loved that pizza! We also had the Bloomsdale (garlicky bloomsdale spinach / hand stretched mozzarella / shredded mozzarella /pecorino / smoked ricotta / gaeta olive / za’atar / feta salsa verde)... and YUM! And we decided to try the Garden of Farms Little Gem Caesar Salad (little gems / kewpie caesar dressing / pizza croutons / anchovies / Ribbons of Fiscalini Gold / soft cooked egg). Again, tasty, tasty, tasty. Speak Cheezy sure seems to use high-end products in the creation of their pizzas and salads. Everything was top notch. That salad was so yummy with that incredible salad dressing and the jammy soft cooked egg. I want another one to eat with my lovely pizza leftovers. :)”

“el mejor restaurant de comida Koreana.... regresaré!!”
“Love the people and food sold here are unsurpassed. When they opened there was a sign that explained the pricing reflected and living wage and that the tip was built in to the menu prices. (Most expensive spot for a cap and munchie) then one day a tip line appeared at check out. What?!? I thought it was part of the high price?? Needless to say not tipping puts me in an awkward situation - If I don’t tip is it because I don’t appreciate their cheerful competence? If I add it in now I’m at $16 for a coffee and roll…. I just go someplace else farther but also good (price/budget issues) thanks for letting me vent”

“Last Sunday, we went here after church and it really was divine. We like the Mediterranean salad, lamb chops and rice pudding. Most of all we liked the service provided by Jesus. He created a warm hospitable ambiance. Recommended Lebanese cuisine. Thank you. We'll be back again on another Sunday!”
“Solid lunch experience. The tostada was fresh delicious and new flavors that worked well together. Cheeseburger and fries were solid. Flat white delicious! The ambiance is very cute, Palm Springs motel vibe. The only hang up is that it is a little pricier than most lunch experiences in the area, but I feel like the price is justified with the quality of food and experience.”
“I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting the food to be this exceptional. And that is because sometimes chain establishments are not great. However, Camille suggested a couple of dishes for us and they did not disappoint and in fact I would’ve licked the plates if it was publicly appropriate. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy and short rib hash!!!!! Omg so delicious!! I can’t wait to come back for more!!!”
“SO good, a must try. My friend and I went a few weeks ago and we were both a bit skeptical at first. But after we tried the Thai curry chicken pizza we had ordered, we were hooked. I could not stop eating it. It was delicious, I definitely want to go back sometime. Also, the owner was very friendly and chatted with us for a bit after we ate.”
“Oh My Heavens!! I was so excited to find Uncle Fung Borneo. I spent 6 weeks in Malaysia on a temporary work assignment in 1998 and have missed Malaysian food so much. But now it's nearby!!! It's an incredible cuisine because it's made up of Malay, Chinese, and Indian dishes with a Malaysian twist- with a little heat from the Malay side, rice & noodles from the Chinese impact, and the delicious Roti dough from the Indian influence. I ordered Roti Prata (also known as Roti Canai), which I ate almost every day I spent in Penang. Be sure to get the 2 piece option, because their Roti dipped in their delicious sauce is so, so good! I also had the Malaysian Fried Rice (or Nasi Goreng) which was just as I remembered. Yum. Their Laksa Mee was super!! The handmade noodles, lightly spicy broth, and luscious flavors make up one of my all-time favorite soups! The Char Kway Teow, made with flat rice noodles and stir fried with unique Malaysian flavors, was also really tasty! Lastly, I had the Chrysanthemum Tea. It's an iced, floral tea that is calming and cooling. Lovely! I'm so happy and I'm going to go back often. Num!!! *** Picked up dinner again tonight (1 month later). Same items, same deliciousness!! GO, if you haven't been. So, so good and authentic!”
“I'm glad this new location opened closer to home, as I've been to other places and enjoyed the experience. However, it might be dangerously close. Teleferic faces the street along E. Marina Dr. in the 2nd and PCH Mall. It might be a good sunset dining spot. As pricey as it is, Teleferic Barcelona is a perfect place to treat yourself or celebrate a special occasion.
FOOD
As I've been to other locations, I knew what to expect. We ordered a few favorites and some items we had yet to try. Overall, we enjoyed the tapas and entrées we ordered. The dinner highlights were the Lobster Paella with crispy rice bottom, Empanadas, Crab Croquetas with tuna sashimi, Pulpo, Patatas Bravas, and Prime Wellington. The Paella Negra is also a delicious option I've enjoyed in the past.
For dessert, we shared the Trío Selection and La Cookie. The Trio was a great option for trying a few popular items. Our server also recommended La Cookie. The cookie with nuts and vanilla ice cream was delicious, and the half-baked cookie dough and chocolate filling were decadent and rich.
The drink menu showcases crafted cocktails and sangrias, and a full bar will satisfy all your libation needs. Our table enjoyed the Teleferic Sangias and the Virgin Gothic Mojito.
ATMOSPHERE
We made reservations for a 7 p.m. dinner and were seated within a few minutes after checking in. The atmosphere is modern, with proper lighting in the main dining area and more moody near the windows. The noise level was moderately loud, so our conversations and hearing the server were challenging initially, but we managed.
OVERALL
We had a fantastic dining experience. Our excellent server (Edy?) and staff were kind and attentive throughout our meal. We were satisfied with all the food we ordered and didn't feel overly stuffed or needed a nap after.”
“I just ate here for the first time and it was incredible and I loved the non alcohol drink flight!”

“I stopped by for a quick bite. I was drawn by their $5.99 California double cheeseburger combo. Inside is clean. Got some summer vibe decorations and Long Beach murals on the walls. Played some current music. The staff are nice and helpful. Nice spot, overall clean and cool vibes plus the food was good and prices affordable. I know there's plenty of options around the area but this place was a good choice.”
“This is your typical Del Taco restaurant with the same vibe as most. Customer service was excellent, but the cleanliness needs to be improved. My order came out fast, and it was hot and fresh. If I am back around this area and hungry for some chain-made tacos, I will return.”
“The attention to detail was amazing . I asked for breakfast burger with a sausage patty instead of beef . Buns toasted, hash browns extra crispy ( so they don't get soggy )
Juanita was on the grill and did it to perfection ! Luis Mendez ( store manager ) ensured my order was correct and didn't disappoint.”
“The?
Night shift has one of the hardest working little lady there all by herself, working not complaining handling all the tasks. And still giving great customer service it has been a long time since i've seen anyone worth this hard and stay so positive although the food is good I will be coming back here to thos location because thank you so much for your hard work 😀”
“The carnitas burrito was amazing, that's my go to, and haven't had a decent one in a long time. Meat was tender, flavor was excellent, I wanted to savor each bite, I am a critic when it comes to food , especially my favorite which is Mexican and carnitas, definitely did not disappoint. My daughter absolutely loves birria, I'll have to try it, we will order again! Thank you for great quality”
“Good attitudes, good tasting sandwiches and add what you want, Convenient late hours. On one occasion when soup taken out, was too salty, the cream of broccoli .
Can get special deals if you can find the coupons, they use to send in mail
once a month or so. When in the subway mood, we go there. :)”
“Am not sure where in the world I stated I had a great time because I didn’t idk why jack would reply that to my comment I have no issue with customer service the staff are friendly and welcoming they can be busy at times so it seems their short on staff and I give it to those who have to step up and be 3 places at the same time trying to get things done am a regular customer and just recently I had a inconvenience hear I don’t blame the staff I feel like the managers who are in their office not on site or whoever own this jack put their workers for failure I always order on the app and pick up my order and so it seems their has been fraud going on now you are required to show id on orders over 44 dollars which it would be nice if they had notify on the app before purchase because when I got their to pick up i was told they had to cancel my order redo it and so forth which was very inconvenient am unable to jot down the full story but yes have a Sign or something you know but like I said I don’t blame the people who work hear and bust their self working hard I blame those who sit pretty behind their desk with higher positions who don’t have to deal with customers who can be rude and to top it off I haven’t even got a refund and this was Sunday and my bank is already processed the transaction it’s on jack now”
“The best restaurant on 2nd street! We make a point to come here at least once every time we visit Long Beach. Honestly worth a trip to LB just for the udon, fried rolls, avocado fries, and awesome wait staff! 10/10. Love this place!”
Takeout Restaurants
“Wow wow wow wow. Just had the s’mores cookie and I’m shook. The marshmallow and gram cracker is so well done I’ve never had anything like it. It’s so good I wish I never tried it because I’m going to want it way too often than my liver can handle. KISS the chef moment fr (respectfully)”
“Great all around food choices with excellent quality! All the staff are personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Great service with great prices!! Love Appu’s”
“I stopped by for a quick breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The place has a cozy, old-school diner feel with friendly staff who remembered my coffee order on my second visit. I tried their chilaquiles and they were fresh, perfectly spiced, and generously portioned. The coffee isn’t fancy but it’s strong and refilled often. It’s a great little spot if you’re looking for a no-frills, warm start to your morning.”
“I wanna do this business justice without turning this local gem into a spot where you have to wait 50 mins to be seated.
The sushi is fresh and tasty - manageable portions so you can really try a bunch of things without completely over-ordering.
My wife and I have made this our local AYCE sushi joint. Will 1000% be back! 🍣”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“Had 6 tacos and breakfast burrito. Very good for the price, portion is good. Arrived earlier than store hours by mistake but owner was very welcoming and start my order right away. Will return to try out next item on menu. Cash only. Parking street is typical of 4th Street, aka none.”
“El fin de semana celebramos la quinceañera de mi hija en Rivera's Restaurant y todo estuvo excelente. Desde el primer acercamiento George siempre fue muy amable y comprensivo con lo que esperábamos para nuestra fiesta. La decoración y sobre todo la comida y atención a nuestros invitados fue excelente. Estamos convencidos que volveriamos a tener otro evento con ellos.”
“Great service and reasonable prices”
“Dined here this evening. We enjoyed some Cocktails to start then ordered Beef Tartare, Shrimp with Veg and Roasted Carrots. Entrees varied from Pasta to Ribeye steak and Burger. All delicious. The Carbonara needed more bacon but that was the only issue. Desserts were great. The Espresso wasn’t hot enough for my guest but overall we enjoyed the evening celebrating a birthday. Will recommend to my friends for sure. Would recommend a reservation as it was very busy by the time we left at 6.30 pm”
“Came here to try something new. While it was expensive, the portion sizes defenitely do make up for its pricy cost, and the burger was absolutely amazing. Fries were nice and crispy, and staff was absolutely amazing. They answered every question I had and were absolute gems. I'd defenitely revisit this place when I visit Long Beach again, 10/10.”
“Nick’s food and service doesn’t disappoint! Menu options are great, and they’ll take a classic comfort dish such as a meat loaf to a gourmet degree. Service is impecable too. Worth every dollar you spend here in every aspect! They have my respect and heart! ♥️”
Cheap Eats
“This spot is within a food hall and I love these setups because of the amount of food options available.
I ordered their bulgogi burrito with no rice along with their Korean spicy popcorn chicken. The burrito was phenomenal and one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. A bulgogi bowl but put into a wrap and the popcorn chicken was solid. Overall both items were delicious.
I’d definitely come back to try their other menu items and overall it was an excellent lunch!
***update***
I also tried their make your own salad bowl with salmon, chicken and bulgogi. It was excellent and overall delicious bowl with a great sauce.”
“The Reason for food being 3 is because although the sandwich i had was very good, it was nothing new or different. It was just the wich itself if you wanted a side it was extra and they were bagged chips the beer selection was nice though i always come back for that.”
“I absolutely love, love, loooooove this family friendly jewel. Starting with the food first ?, there is an abundance of everything even if it's a plate order for one person. The broth is clean, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the flavors do NOT stop with mmmmmm?. Your meal experience, will result in you leaving with a happy and full belly. I've even seen some family that brought children, with excitement for the food here and kids can be picky. The service is quick, communication is clear, and the restaurant team is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The staff, all work really hard together, to keep their customers consistently happy. They go above and beyond here, to make sure your experience is a full and comfortably wholesome one. The atmosphere is unforgettably clean like their pho broth?, there is more than enough space to keep to yourself or enjoy your company in your own bubble together with your meals. They also have outside seating, for those who prefer fresh air to themselves. I would NOT sleep on this place, if I were you. Plenty of parking, and walking distance to public transportation for those who are not personally mobile. I highly recommend this place, to anyone looking for tasty and clean pho options.”
“I don't know what I like more, the food or the service. Local family owned spot. Great prices for fresh, flavorful and straightforward Cambodian food. I'm working my way through the menu, but so far the oxtail is everyone's favorite. Of all the Cambodian spots in Long Beach, this is in my top 3!”
“The wet burrito is large and very good. I really dont have much to say besides everything was really good, im content, I got a big wet burrito that's very saucy, and I appreciate the good service from beginning to end. First time trying this place but I probably will for sure come here again when I crave a wet burrito, also you can pick all your toppings for I would assume a majority, if not all, of their items so thats pretty cool.”
“Love love love the food , great dinner I fly out here just for this place”
“Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and had a fabulous dinner with amazing service.”
“Great appetizers, wonderful main dishes and delicious desserts. Service is exceptional. I'm not a big fan of long booths, but there are regular tables if needed. The bar is better than average if you drink alcoholic beverages.”
“Excellent service. Excellent food. Definitely returning. Thanks!”
“Such a wonderful experience we had at L'Opera last night. The 2 of us had completely different meals, both were excellent. The light eater had a L'Opera salad (1/2 size) and the Spinach and Ricotta Gnudi. Both were excellent, and paired perfectly with a glass of Tattinger Champagne! The heartier diner had the Gilet Mignon meal which was cooked perfectly and served with polenta sticks and a decadent mushroom sauce. This was paired with a glass of Decoy Cabernet. Dinner was topped off with a “Sofffice” pineapple dessert which was excellent. Thank you to our server who offered suggestions and delightful service.”
“Wish I had taken photos. This is in the top 3 of Thai restaurants I have ever eaten. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious. The flavors were perfect. Would go back!”
“Incredibly fresh, not greasy, lovely wood detailing in the dining room. Had the chefs filet which was tender and amazingly black pepper with onion. Also the black bean shrimp was fantastic with bell pepper and chili.
Parking: Small parking lot, plenty of parking at 730pm Sunday”
“Great service and great food! My family loves this place!! 👍🏻”
“Many beers, schnitzel, sausages, currywurst, pretzels (love them!), I highly recommend Rasselbock!”
“Love this place,my family and friends have been going there for years, was so bummed when it burned down but just as good after it came back, always my first choice when I get the chance to be in town, and always great”
“Love this place .. the staff there is so friendly It’s amazing they make you feel so welcomed and the food is so fresh.”
“Have eaten here about 10 times . This restaurant doesn’t disappoint. I’ve tried all there’s sushi roll which are always fresh and delicious.”
“I like too much the Greek food at George’s , the lamb was delicious as well as the hole plate and wine. Every time that I come to LB from Brasil , I need going and try new culinary features. So yummy”
“Today was our first time here...and OMGosh...it did not disappoint! Friends & family have recommended Los Compadres and finally got to try this place! Food was sooo DELICIOUS, friendly atmosphere, customer service was EXCELLENT! We definitely will be going back...we cant wait to try other food on the menu...totally recommend it!”
“I just got back from going here with my daughter and I always recommend this spot to family and friends, I’ve been a fan of this place since I first went about four years ago.on a date. Such delicious food and unique options on the menu. I also like the atmosphere and the people that work there are always really friendly andcool people.”
“Great food and wonderful service by our waiter David. Large portions.”
“The best thing we had were the cocktails and the kids spaghetti - delicious sauce and French fries - super crispy. Biggest disappointment was the Stuffed Squash Blossoms, the ricotta was one note and seemed unseasoned and the blossoms themselves were bland and could have used some finishing salt post frying. Solid restaurant we just wanted a bit more polish and flair.”
“Easily the best craft beer tap list on 2nd Street. Lots of local SoCal breweries in rotation: Green Cheek, Pizza Port, Trademark. Many taps, lots of IPAs (which I like) but other options too.
Food is pricey but solid. Upscale but casual bistro feel.”
“Such a cozy spot with a fantastic vibe! The wine selection here is impressive, offering something for every taste. Whether you're a connoisseur or just looking to enjoy a glass, you’ll find the perfect pour. It's easily one of the best bars in Long Beach, with a relaxed, inviting atmosphere that makes it the ideal place to unwind. Highly recommend it for a laid-back evening with great wine and great company!”
“Had dinner there Friday night. Our server was Nadia. She was excellent. Gave great recommendations, was friendly and timely. The food was tasty, large portions and the perfect temp. Order the crème brûlée! SOOO GOOD”

“Have been twice in the past six months and look forward to attending another concert soon.
Parking: Quaint and intimate locale in the heart of Long Beach on Pine Ave. Fantastic venue to see/hear a concert. Will definitely return.”
“We ordered this takeout. I must say, even with a 15 minute drive home, the food was delicious. The food was very, very tasty and cooked to perfection. It was a little pricey but worth it.”
“I had the catfish and fries with cornbread it was simply amazing it was so good nice and hot fresh I'll definitely be back again and I will recommend this restaurant to all of my family and friends”

“Sushi mafia is by far the best preparation of Sushi and sushimi I recommend this place to all my friends and family everybody come out and enjoy the best I've had highly recommend this place.”
“Reminds me exactly of my favorite childhood restaraunt destination. I haven't seen em flip shrimp into their hat but I bet they could. Food is great I'll keep going when I wanna treat myself”
“Such a beautiful time dinning out with my wife. The atmosphere is charming the food is amazing . We had an incredible time very authentic Mediterranean food. We truly recommend this place 👌”

“Love The Crest. Amazing boutique apartment complex. Feels so homey and cozy. The leasing people are super cool and so close to everything walking distance. Oh.... and did I mention they have the most legit balconies. I spent most of my time on the beautiful balcony ❤️ I searched for a place for 3 months and this was it. ❤️❤️❤️”
“Today was our first time here...and OMGosh...it did not disappoint! Friends & family have recommended Los Compadres and finally got to try this place! “We did the 3 course for 55 and added Lobster Mac and Cheese. It was ABSOLUTELY amazing! It was my first time there and I've gone to a lot of steakhouses ... it has EASILY BECOME MY FAVORITE ONE! The salmon and shrimp was slightly overcooked but so tasty it didn't matter!! Somehow it was STILL incredibly juicy and tender.. the lobster mac and cheese LOOKED like it was going to be terrible.... but it was INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS!! THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD AT A STEAKHOUSE. Sautéed spinach, Brussel sprouts, and mashed... IT WAS ALL GOOD!”
“Claire’s at the Museum is aesthetically pleasing. The view is gorgeous, and the food is delicious! Spent my birthday here and it did not disappoint!! ❤️”
“Tasty Chicken - Fried And Original Style . Rice 🍚 Deliciousness . Sauces On Point . Great Service”
“Amazing food and service! Don't live anywhere close, but if we ever come back we'll definitely stop by again. We celebrated our bdays and anniversary, and we couldn't have picked a better place. Bartender was very nice and all the drinks he made were great! Thank you!”
“What an amazing lunch of the freshest seafood we've had in California. The service was great, attentive and friendly. The food just delicious. Very festive spot of July 4 people watching and enjoying the day.”
“This is a common spot for me to come with my family or significant other. I tend to always have a good or spectacular experience. Tonight, was no exception. Despite the bad service I encountered with one of my servers, Jen ( Manager) was able to correct the bad experience and rectify the problem. She made a night that could have possibly gone downhill into a night that became memorable as my partner and I were celebrating a special occasion.”
“The tiramisu was amazing. The wait staff brought one for my cousins birthday.”
“Great restaurant and food. Will be a great addition to the Valley!”
“Food was super I had the lobster linguini and calamari was very very good and the service spectacular”
“Fast pace restaurant! Eager waiter took our order and within minutes delivered piping hot, steaming delicious Thai dishes. Tasty, spicy, steamy, crunchy succulent morsels on every bite. Pomegranate margaritas and Sangria complimented the savory entries to the last bite. Very friendly staff, eager to please each customer. Mom & Pop shops are always the best. Plan to return in the near future with an even bigger appetite.”
“The service was great, the ingredients were fresh, and we will be back next time.”
“The Current offers a lot of convenience with its prime location in the middle of DTLB. The connected retailers, including Hi-Lo Liquor, Qargo coffee, Sushi Beluga, and BMore Pizza, make everyday errands and dining out incredibly convenient. The amenities are outstanding. I can enjoy a relaxing day at the beautiful 4th-floor terrace or take a dip in the pool on the 17th floor, both offering great spots to unwind and take in the views. Additionally, The Current hosts a variety of events, from the big Grand Prix party to smaller gatherings like yoga on the 17th floor, which adds a vibrant and engaging community feel to the place. The staff at The Current, particularly Raelle and Denisse, always make me feel welcomed and valued. Their friendliness and attentiveness greatly enhance the living experience, making it feel like home. Overall, The Current offers an exceptional living environment with its convenient location, excellent amenities, and welcoming staff. Highly recommended!”
“Always have a great meal at Simmzy’s. I had cauliflower tacos and they were excellent (and I’m not a vegetarian). Sweet potato fries were great. I’m the past I’ve had the chicken tortilla soup- it’s one of the best! Pet and child friendly.”
“Went in during the midday so it was empty. Got the place to ourselves. Authentic Thai food with great flavor and good portions. Ordered mild for the papaya salad and that was spicy enough. Very friendly staff & chill atmosphere. Got 3 plates of food, 1 appetizer, some Jasmine tea, with 2 of their tea drinks just under $90. Took leftovers home that I can't wait to eat at a later time. Definitely coming back when I'm in Long Beach. Highly recommend it.”
“Had an amazing meal in a chic and cozy booth with spot-on decor, food presentation & atmosphere. Great margaritas!”
“excellent bar and live music venue. service was excellent and the bar tab was fair.”
“Came here for a business dinner and was seated outside on a beautiful evening. Started off with a mix of oysters and the Cevichos. Both were excellent. Then the 5 of us went different directions for our mains, but my Squid Ink Linguini was top notch! Our server this evening was Chase K. He did excellent and we would love to come back here. Really good restaurant!”
“What a beautiful place. We had a wonderful evening with amazing staff. We had a large group and the staff was gracious and accommodating. Highly recommend.”
“Wow! This is a hidden gem! Had a few hours until our flight out of Long Beach. Found this amazing spot for a coffee and was absolutely blown away by the owner(Shannon) and the menu! We ordered 2 coffees a sandwich and a cinnamon roll. The coffees were amazing, the owner made me a custom coffee. I asked for 'Something Sweet' and the drink was so good we ordered a 2nd one. Cinnamon roll was hot, sweet, and cream cheese frosted. Licked the bowl clean! Breakfast Sandwich was made with fresh ingredients and was so tasty! We will plan our future trips to this Airport just to have this coffee and cinnamon roll again! 10/10! Oh and the reggae music jamming is the vibe!!”
“The food was very good. Service was great..my friend ordered her food too hot. They replaced it with a milder taste and it was just as she had ordered the first time.. Thanks Kickin Crab for great customer service....plus I had enough for leftovers..”
“For the LB Food week special the appetizers were two seafood items- an oyster and a scallop served separately and beautiful. Both delicious but the oyster's drizzle of lime, cucumber, jalapeno and dotted with ikura (roe) was particularly enchanting. The scallop sauce was tangy and delish as well with a splash of chili oil. The last appetizer was a parker house roll, which was good but I prefer regular bread. But it was nicely grilled and had a nice whipped butter calabrian chili spread on the side. It was petite so no worries about it killing your appetite.
The Pappardelle pasta itself was fresh but I found the simple sundried tomatoes and garlic confit sauce a tad on the plain side. But a nice portion to share.
The tri-tip apparently was the popular selection for this menu over the swordfish which is always on the menu. Kudos to the chef that it was prepared perfectly. The heirloom tomatoes with tiny slices of pepper were a nice contrast.
The dessert was a refreshing strawberry compote (perhaps not the correct food term) but it was a nice light dairy dessert with fresh strawberries albeit it would be great with little used rhubarb.
Service was good.
Super cute place with ample patio seating. Yes, you can bring your (little) dog but be mindful that it's first come/first serve so you and your pet may have to be seated elsewhere if the dog vibes get out of hand, which is what happened last night. Luckily, Ellie's has two patio sections and everyone was happy.
Also, note, that Ellie's suggest that if you need transportation to get here, consider an Uber/Lyft. Residential parking takes up most of the immediate area. Long Beach bus #121 drops off on Ocean Blvd, which is 4 or so blocks away.”

“The older Asian man who took our order was not friendly at all. (The first thought that entered my mind was that he was a racist) Upon entering the restaurant my friend and I greeted him twice he never did open his mouth and speak. It was our first time there so I had questions about what I wanted to order. He was very pushy and impolite rushing us even though we were the only customers in the restaurant. We should have turned around and walked out but we were tired so we ignored his rudeness. The rice was good but I wondered how it could be cooked to order when we got it right away.”
“YUMMYLICIOUS! You want a good beefy burger, perfectly season and portioned properly.. Dude, stop by and get a real FATTY Burger and the varieties are spectacular. You mouth buds and tummy will sing a happy song. Just orders the Peyton and I am salivating already. ENJOY!”

“It’s my first time at CAVA and Walter was super warm, friendly and welcoming! Also, his food recommendation was amazing. All the food that was prepped was very fresh and tasted sooooo good. Also, shout out to Dominick who was working as the cashier and assisted in prepping my food as well. I don’t often leave reviews but you two have the best costumer service. I’ll definitely be coming back :)”

“I placed an order for two bowls, side salad, side of garlic mashed, side of sweet potato fries, and a blueberry empanada. I picked the order up. It was ready really quickly after I ordered. The person who gave me my order was enthusiastic and helpful. Everything tasted wonderful and the side salad was a generous portion. I will return!”
