“Food was delicious! We tried the molotes de plátano, which are three small, crispy banana fritters filled with cheese, served on top of a rich, flavorful mole sauce. We also enjoyed tacos de suadero, tender brisket cooked to perfection; Taco Sonia, a specialty with beef rib, chorizo, potatoes, and cactus; and flor de calabaza quesadilla, a savory quesadilla filled with tender squash blossoms and cheese. Additionally, there was a daily special: taco de huitlacoche, made with truffle-like corn fungus that has a smoky, earthy flavor. All dishes were served with warm, homemade tortillas made from fresh maize dough, enhancing the authentic taste.“

“Seafood like you have never tried. We shared tasted from each section of the menu . Soft Shell Crab Taco, Yellowtail/Dragonfruit/Ceviche, a Scallop Tostada. Absolutely Loved it ALL. Then ended with the Branzino rice/beans and 3 delightful sauces shared for 4. It was perfect. Also, tried a unique Old Fashioned cocktail made with a delicate smoky Mezcal like I have never tasted.“

“I love this place. I am from Mexico and this place is just perfect, same quality of a good good restaurant in Oaxaca. The hand made Tortillas are the best in Los Angeles, loved the mole, I had the chile relleno, and it was an amazing vegetarian option for me. Service was so warm and friendly. I want to take all my friends to this place so Definitely I will be back!“

“Possibly the best and freshest Mexican style seafood in LA Think fine from a James Beard award winning chef and kitchen on the very casual setting of a food court It’s busy so get in early as the line to order grows quickly Plenty of parking with extra space at rear of the car park for the overflow This is a must try if you are in the area“

“Simply phenomenal. It takes incredible food, made by kind folks, who love what they do, to lift a stranger's spirit like my own. I had ordered four tacos: Masala Birria, Tinga Masala Chicken (by recommendation), Pibil Chicken, and the potato (Mexican potato substitution), along with a side of Mom's Beans and seasoned Cauliflower. I was nodding my head blissfully as I ate everything. The smell of spices and fresh cilantro, the taste of meaty beans and succulent poultry, and pickled onions were wildly satisfying. I was blown away and can't wait to return. You're missing out if you haven't eaten here, yet. Until next time, peace.“

“One of the best hidden gems in LA. I stumbled into this wine bar out of curiosity, and it quickly became one of my favorite places in the city—and now I’m a regular.
The wine selection is outstanding: an ever-changing, thoughtful assortment that goes beyond the usual bottles you’ll find elsewhere. Whether you’re a wine nerd or just getting into it, this is a place where you can discover something new every time.
What really makes it special is the staff. They’re not just knowledgeable—they genuinely care about sharing that knowledge in a welcoming, down-to-earth way. Ian, the owner, is incredible. He’s the reason I know anything about neutral wine now. His passion is contagious, and he’s always happy to break things down or suggest something based on your taste.
Whether you're looking to expand your palate or just enjoy a glass in a great atmosphere, this place delivers every time.“

“Best mezcal margarita I’ve had. You need to get the churros for dessert - eat them first before you regret not saving space for them!!! This place is very cool and laid back. Easy to order, quick service. Fish flautas were my favorite!“

“Great ambiance in the evening...the “botanas” are yummy and if you stay with them you'll enjoy the experience... the drinks were good but shallow...and the main dishes were undercooked...the rice was awful and pork should never be undercooked... overall good for the experience but not for an actual dinner....“

“My go to pre-Dodger game hangout. The Dodger vibe is electric. Best flaming margs! The chili rellenos are seriously amazing. Crispy tacos are delicious. Portions are generous. Don’t fill up on the chips and salsa! If you sit near the bar, it’s loud. They always beat their wait time estimate so stay close after adding your name to the waitlist.“

“This amazing taco stand is set up in a parking lot with plenty of parking, making it super convenient. There are four organized stations: one for tacos, one for other items, plus a drink station and a salsa bar.
The meat was incredibly flavorful, and they serve it with onions, a grilled pepper, and a small potato. After trying several taco storefronts in the area, this stand easily tops the list.
A must-visit for taco lovers looking for great flavor. Four tacos was $11. No seating but you can sit in your car.“

“El chato taco has quickly become my favorite place for tacos in West LA. Their al pastor is juicy and flavorful, and I always go for the salsa verde. The portions are generous, and the tacos are reasonably priced. The place has a chill vibe, and I’ve always had good service. It’s a great spot for a quick and tasty bite“

“What a beautiful restaurant for a night out. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I was stepping into the most beautiful restaurant with a front row view to the fountains and some good food. My favorite was the esquite. With every bite I took, I felt the tangy flavor from the seasonings and it was delightful! Not too overpowering. I ended the night with dessert and it was amazing.“
“Some of the best birria in LA hands down, la birria de chivo (goat) is just amazing here. They make tortillas freshly big plus for me. Prices are really good, you pay about $20 for an order that can feed 2-3 people . I am a big guy and love to eat, so its amazing…. You gotta try this spot“

“Very cute spot, that I would return to if I had a random weekday off. When we went there were hardly any other parties so we had no issues finding a seat.
The menu has something for everyone. It didn't take long for our order to come out. Portions were bigger than what I was expecting (I was worried they were going to be tapas sized portion, but the yellowtail tostada was quite filling), so I would say that dishes are reasonably priced. My friend and I felt the flavors hit the mark with each dish.
In retrospect, I could have ordered just the tostada with my americano and be satisfied. But I am glad to have tried more things on the menu. I would say that the dishes, while savory, leaned more light which I think is perfect for brunch.
During our visit, I got the yellowtail tostada, fish taco, and flautas. All were delicious. They also have a milk punch/clarified cocktail that my friend ordered (which are hard to find in LA) and it was also a well balanced drink.“

“My experience at Saby’s is always phenomenal. I live close by and this has turned into my go to weekend brunch spot. The food is incredible (I get the chipotle chicken breakfast burrito) almost every time and it never fails to disappoint. Sometimes the food can take a bit but that’s because there is always a line out the door and around the corner! The services is great, the workers are so welcoming and kind (especially Javier, he is the absolute man!!), and every time I come I leave with new appreciation for the establishment. Their coffee is also delicious, I get the Spanish latte with oak milk and it never fails to disappoint. 10/10 would recommend Saby’s to any and everyone!! Also special shoutout to whoever is on aux, they play absolute banger after banger on repeat (atmosphere is elite)!!“

“El Carmen is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Los Angeles. They offer a happy hour menu Monday to Friday from 5–7pm with incredible prices ($8 margaritas, $3 tacos) that make it easy to stop by after work without breaking the bank. The drinks are delicious, and I had some of the best shrimp tacos I’ve ever tasted here—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The chips, salsa, and guacamole are also a must-order, with everything tasting homemade and vibrant. It’s a cozy spot with great energy, and I can’t wait to go back.“

“Well, to be honest I went to pick up a meal for someone. I tried so hard to find the building but could not. I drove around a lot, then I notice a food vehicle. I saw the name of the company I was told to go to, so I jumped out and ran over to a man close to it, and he notified me that the food service vehicle he was in was where I was to pick up the food I was there to pick up for their customer. He was so very, very helpful to me that I was thankful to have stopped at the right place. I must say that the person I told I would pick it up for loved and enjoyed the food a lot. So, now I know where to go, and I am always very impressed with excellent customer service, which I did receive there.“

“This was formerly a M- star restaurant and it is no suprise why based on the food. The ambiance isn't anything to write home about and some of the seat cushions were ripped up. The server's explained the food really well and food came fast. Would definitely recommend this for a seafood lover and for someone who enjoys spicy food. I had a few dishes that I had never heard of like a drink made with condensed milk, coconut water and something else...it was good. The green sauce they serve with the chips is VERY spicy. Would definitely go again and try some different things.“

“I thought it was great for what it was. No thrills, no frills, no muss, no fuss food stand in a front yard.
I definitely enjoyed the atmosphere, and the vendors were incredibly friendly. The wait was unbearable, but I was also eager to enjoy my food. It really only took like 30 minutes. I don't believe they have parking, and finding some in South Central is a nigh insurmountable endeavor. So plan accordingly.
I genuinely don't know what traditional and/or fresh tlayudas are like, but these are probably as close as I can get without going to Mexico. Tasajo and chorizo were both delicious, but preferred the tasajo, 100%. I'm not brave enough to try the moringa.“
