“Now this restaurant… fireeeeee. The atmosphere at night is my favorite! The food was delicious I couldn’t get enough of the spicy tuna rice cakes. The aguachiles are FIREEEE it’s the right amount of spicy. The margaritas pair well with their dishes. I look forward to trying their lunch menu! I will be back.“

“When I tell you this place is incredible… on every point! Food amazing, atmosphere is such a vibe, service and staff are so welcoming and accommodating and QUICK!
We ordered the following for 3 people and were stuffed and had plenty of leftovers:
- chips and trio of salsa: I am still mind blown about the variety of salsas, the flavor complexity, the range of spice and ingredients in each. 10/10
- squash blossoms (forgot to take picture): so delightful, stuffed with a cheese mixture and the perfect consistency and crunch on the fried blossom. 10/10
- 3 mole plate: loved trying the different mole options, my palate is not quite as seasoned when it comes to mole so I favored the “traditional” sweeter brown mole. Would just get this one next time (forgot what they called it) 8.7/10
- carne asada plate: an assortment of Oaxacan cheese, grilled cactus, beans, mole enchilada, and the most tender, flavorful and juicy steak. Just wow 10/10
Churros: omg…. Just omg. Melt in your mouth churros, most DELECTABLE Mexican dark chocolate to dip them in… I dream about these 10/10
This is now our go-to Mexican spot. Such an elevated take on our traditional Mexican food outings. Prices were very fair especially for the quality and ambiance of this places picking up a to-go order as we speak.
It’s worth noting that we went with our friend who was born in Mexico City and has had the best of the best Oaxacan food and she was floored by this place!“

“The tastiest Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles!!
I love the location and the colorful yellow tiles on the facade of KOMAL. Smartly designed aesthetics and beautifully thought out menu. The prices are fair for such quality ingredients.
Komal is an upcoming business with care and true craft behind every bite. Also the aqua fresca is super nice on a hot day and the pan de calabaza is everything. I dream about KOMAL!“

“Simply phenomenal. It takes incredible food, made by kind folks, who love what they do, to lift a stranger's spirit like my own. I had ordered four tacos: Masala Birria, Tinga Masala Chicken (by recommendation), Pibil Chicken, and the potato (Mexican potato substitution), along with a side of Mom's Beans and seasoned Cauliflower. I was nodding my head blissfully as I ate everything. The smell of spices and fresh cilantro, the taste of meaty beans and succulent poultry, and pickled onions were wildly satisfying. I was blown away and can't wait to return. You're missing out if you haven't eaten here, yet. Until next time, peace.“

“Good Clean Fun isn’t just a wine bar, it’s a Downtown institution. Ian and his team have cultivated something truly special: a space that consistently delivers exceptional natural wines, beautifully fresh food, and an atmosphere that feels effortlessly joyful.
What sets GCF apart is its reliability in delight. I’ve celebrated birthdays here, lingered on date nights, raised toasts at farewell parties, attended themed Good Clean Fun events, and each visit has been a masterclass in hospitality. The wine is always exciting and thoughtfully curated, the food is bright, seasonal, and satisfying, and the energy? Unfailingly warm and convivial.
Ian’s passion for what he does is infectious. He’s not just pouring wine , he’s telling stories, sharing discoveries, and creating community. It’s this blend of curiosity and care that keeps the experience fresh while always feeling like home.
Thank you GCF, for being my go-to for great wine, great company, and creating greater memories.“

“This place offers valet parking, but we found free street parking about a block away. To access the restaurant, you’ll need to head up a set of stairs.
We had a few drinks and shared the guacamole dip. While the appetizer was fresh and the chips had a unique, tasty twist, the portion size didn’t quite match the price. Surprisingly, it was pretty slow for a Saturday.
Overall, I’d definitely give it another try, especially since the breakfast options looked delicious.“

“Best mezcal margarita I’ve had. You need to get the churros for dessert - eat them first before you regret not saving space for them!!! This place is very cool and laid back. Easy to order, quick service. Fish flautas were my favorite!“

“This amazing taco stand is set up in a parking lot with plenty of parking, making it super convenient. There are four organized stations: one for tacos, one for other items, plus a drink station and a salsa bar.
The meat was incredibly flavorful, and they serve it with onions, a grilled pepper, and a small potato. After trying several taco storefronts in the area, this stand easily tops the list.
A must-visit for taco lovers looking for great flavor. Four tacos was $11. No seating but you can sit in your car.“

“El chato taco has quickly become my favorite place for tacos in West LA. Their al pastor is juicy and flavorful, and I always go for the salsa verde. The portions are generous, and the tacos are reasonably priced. The place has a chill vibe, and I’ve always had good service. It’s a great spot for a quick and tasty bite“

“First time going there and went because of the reviews. You can tell they make their own tortillas, which made the burritos a lot better. Overall, the taste very good. I need to go back and try the chile relleno burrito. The only thing is that the order took long for having many employees there. Not only that but a few were just standing around. I feel that if you have that many employees, orders shouldn't take as long. They were very friendly though. The place is very small and not many tables. It's more like a place to order and go. Customers would appreciate more if they had more tables were they can sit and eat.“

“Possibly the best and freshest Mexican style seafood in LA Think fine from a James Beard award winning chef and kitchen on the very casual setting of a food court It’s busy so get in early as the line to order grows quickly Plenty of parking with extra space at rear of the car park for the overflow This is a must try if you are in the area“

“Original little Mexican restaurant. Rustic and not chic but great food and ambience! The shop is small and only offers bar stools to sit on in the fully visible kitchen, where several chefs are busy preparing and serving up the delicious food.“

“The tacos are delicious. I didn’t prefer the chicharron taco; my assumption was the pork fat would be crispy, but it was blubbery. I didn’t eat it. This was probably a mistake on my end.
The pork tamale was delicious as was the steak taco. The tamale wasn’t dry at all (I’ve seen other reviews saying it was dry). The service was so friendly and kind. I loved the artwork, but I did want a salsa bar. I’ll be back absolutely, and recommend the cantaloupe agua fresca.“

“My go to pre-Dodger game hangout. The Dodger vibe is electric. Best flaming margs! The chili rellenos are seriously amazing. Crispy tacos are delicious. Portions are generous. Don’t fill up on the chips and salsa! If you sit near the bar, it’s loud. They always beat their wait time estimate so stay close after adding your name to the waitlist.“

“Some of the best birria in LA hands down, la birria de chivo (goat) is just amazing here. They make tortillas freshly big plus for me. Prices are really good, you pay about $20 for an order that can feed 2-3 people . I am a big guy and love to eat, so its amazing…. You gotta try this spot“

“Well, to be honest I went to pick up a meal for someone. I tried so hard to find the building but could not. I drove around a lot, then I notice a food vehicle. I saw the name of the company I was told to go to, so I jumped out and ran over to a man close to it, and he notified me that the food service vehicle he was in was where I was to pick up the food I was there to pick up for their customer. He was so very, very helpful to me that I was thankful to have stopped at the right place. I must say that the person I told I would pick it up for loved and enjoyed the food a lot. So, now I know where to go, and I am always very impressed with excellent customer service, which I did receive there.“

“Okay, ngl, the entrance was confusing to find, but once you go in, the vibes are immaculate. The food was amazing, my wife and I shared the mixed seafood cocktail. I had the shrimp burrito. My wife had the tuna birria quesadilla. I liked the quesadilla, but who am I kidding, the burrito was by far the superior menu item. I still have dreams about that burrito. The shrimp had a light batter, and each ingredient was appropriately represented so that you don’t wind up with a mouthful of just one thing. It was perfect. I’d go back just for the burrito.“

“The soft shell crab taco was stupendous. One of the best things I've eaten this month. Unique, flavorful, absolute must have.
The Baja style fish taco was fine, but not nearly on the same level.
One taco was around $7, which is more of a gourmet price. But I would happily pay that for the soft shell crab taco.
Service was very impersonal. Nobody greeted me. Not a single word of hi/hola, thank you, goodbye. Nothing. You just enter your name and order on a tablet. A few moments later somebody looks and gestures at you to take your food. Sitting situation is not great. But it's a fast casual bite, so you're not there for a long time. FYI - this is a food truck and not a brick and mortar space.
I would go out of my way to eat the soft shell crab taco again. Wow, I'm still thinking about it.“

“Great flautas (or taquitos) with so much salsa on them. So good. Super cool area for dinner. They have outdoor seating with pick style benches. They have a giant Connect 4 game too.

“El Carmen is an absolute gem in Los Angeles! The vibrant Lucha Libre-themed decor creates a lively and fun atmosphere that’s perfect for a night out. Their margaritas are hands-down some of the best in the city, especially during happy hour. The tacos and other dishes are flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared, making it a great spot for both drinks and a bite to eat. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and energetic bar with top-notch food and drinks!“

“This place has received a lot of media hype and I recently checked it out. Totally awesome. I’ve had Tlayudas, a Oaxacan specialty, but none of them
compare to Ponchos. The blue corn tortilla was perfect,
as was the filling. I had the blood sausage, which was excellent.
The place is chill and the crowd was cool. A real winner!
Vegetarian options: They have a veggie tlayuda.“
