“As we walked in there was no hostess and all the bartenders saw us but turned the other way. We waited but it looked completely empty so we were a bit confused whether or not they were open. They could have said, "welcome, someone will be with you shortly".My friend had to walk up and ask if we find a spot or wait for someone. They said we need to wait for a hostess (not friendly at all). The hostess was nice and so was our waiter, THANKFULLY. I gave 4 stars for the lack of welcoming and because I felt like it was hard to pick something I thought would be good. Food was average, nothing too exciting from what we ordered.“

It makes me think of my grandmother as this was always a treat me and her would go and get just the two of us and share with no one else. Sushi is a casual restaurant with attentive and friendly servers and sushi chefs. The fish quality is exceptional and fresh. Their delicious miso soup is a MUST TRY! The lunch menu has a wide variety ranging from sushi to bento boxes. Hands down Brothers Sushi is worth the splurge. “I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Wake Sakura in Gardena! It’s located on the second floor of the Tokyo Central market, which is a cool experience in itself. The restaurant has a sleek, modern, and clean atmosphere that feels very authentic.
You order everything on a tablet at your booth, and the plates are delivered directly to you on a high-speed conveyor belt, which is both efficient and fun to watch.
But the star of the show was, without a doubt, the Tuna Lovers plate. If you are a fan of tuna, this is a must-order. The quality was exceptional, especially for a conveyor belt-style restaurant. It featured a beautiful variety of cuts, from lean, clean-tasting akami to the rich, melt-in-your-mouth fatty toro. Every single piece was incredibly fresh, had a great texture, and was served on perfectly seasoned rice.
The quality of the fish here is a clear step above other conveyor belt spots. I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back. Highly recommended for any sushi fan, but especially if you love high-quality tuna!“

“Fabulous sushi with just enough flair to let you know that Chef Daniel-son has above average skills in areas other than sushi - he does a Saba sandwich on homemade milk bread, plus a shrimp stone pot fried rice in addition to sushi (at least as of this visit). Two seatings, the later one is more relaxed if you don't mind eating late. And the sake selection is excellent.“

“The sushi here is excellent. We had the bluefin, yellowtail, and albacore sashimi/nigiri, and all three were fresh, cleanly cut, and handled with skill. One can tell the chef cares about the fish and knows traditional technique. The kitchen side needs a little tightening up — I ordered curry rice and received curry noodles instead. Not a big deal, but not ideal when specifics are missed. Still, the sushi quality easily outweighs the small slip. The LAX roll was great as well. Bottom line: if you're here for serious sushi, this place is worth trying. Not a whole lot of room but for smaller groups of say 5-10 is a good location! — NJ“

“Hand roll spot with dry aged fish inside the Citizen Public Market. Came here for dinner with a friend and we both ordered the small set (4 pieces). We were able to replace the lean roll with a different fish. Our server was super nice and we enjoyed our meal. It operates like it’s a sit down spot so you pay after the meal, rather than at the counter like at other stalls in the market.“

“Since I'm a very picky Japanese food eater, I tend to avoid anything that might be Japanese where it's not 100% Japanese. That said, I do enjoy the Thai food here. It's decent and filling. The staff are polite and I like it because it's in walking distance for me.

I have tried some Japanese-ish food like the lobster rolls or teriyaki chicken. Those dishes weren't bad if you consider them more California Asian cuisine. The prices are what you might expect these days for a spot like this. They do have lunch time specials so I think those are worth making the trip if you're in the area and want some decent Thai etc or something different.“

“Found this place on Google while spending a night in LA near the airport 🛫. The place looks rough as heck, but don't be fooled. The food is incredible. Close to, if not the best sushi I ever ate. I get sushi everytime I travel to different places, so I have tried a fair bit. The place is self serve you set the table yourself and everything else. The fish was extremely fresh and the chef is an expert. He prepares the sushi 🍣 right out in the open so no secrets. The rolls are big and filling. Uonigiri is easily one of the best sushi spots I’ve ever been to. The omakase is incredible — every course feels intentional and beautifully balanced. The sushi chef is not only highly skilled but carries a certain level of class and grace in both his presentation and demeanor. You can tell there’s real pride and artistry behind every piece. The food itself is downright amazing — fresh, perfectly seasoned, and plated like art. I can’t recommend this place enough.

On March 8, my older sister, Jennifer, and I went to Tak E Sushi and Rolls restaurant to eat sushi for lunch and I did not expect sushi to be this delicious and nutritious☺️. There exists countless options for Jenny and I, and customers to eat on their menu, but I think my older sister doesn’t want to eat a lot. Plus, there were plenty of drinks to choose from, but one thing I found out that there exists anime style drinks with likable anime characters from One Piece, Naruto/Naruto Shippuden, and Sailor Moon, though I wish they also added other iconic anime characters from other popular anime IPs that every anime fan loves, you know, the ones from Dragon Ball, Bleach, My Hero Academia, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Haikyuu!!, etc.; not to mention Hololive, the world’s virtual YouTuber agency, Vocaloid, Love Live!, maybe Pokemon, cute anime girls, and more should have their own drinks, even Star Wars (influenced by Akira Kurosawa’s films and Japanese culture which George Lucas said that Akira Kurosawa is his idol) deserve their own drinks in sushi stores, but a man can dream, yes? Anyway, we ordered the sushi while I had ramen, and I just couldn’t get enough of eating them as I smiled. It was great and I wish I could’ve tried it sooner rather than later. One thing that I forgot to see is that there’s also a bar you can sit on, but I’ll try that next time. In conclusion, the Tak E Sushi and Rolls restaurant is recommended for everyone. Not bad Japanese food and I want to come back again sometime. Though, I want to see the restaurant filled with people, though.
