“A friend recommended that we tried Bonjour Patisserie before we left town, and we were not disappointed!

We tried their chocolate almond croissant, strawberry mascarpone croissant, and banana latte. The croissants were delectable! The chocolate almond one had a tasty almond filling, we really enjoyed the creaminess of the strawberry croissant, and the banana latte wasn't overly sweet.

The staff was very friendly. We brought our baby with us in his stroller, and the staff helped us settle at a table inside the cafe. We'd gladly return!“

“I love to find GF bakeries while traveling and Phatties has made it all the way to the top of my list! Their coffee was delicious, and I’m a bit of a snob for a good coffee. We got cinnamon rolls, donuts, a pop tart, avocado bagel and a frittata bagel. Every last item was delicious. We took a donut home and it was still soft and perfect two days later. Apparently they only do their cinnamon rolls on special weekends - but if you’re lucky enough to be there when they have them - get them! Most GF cinnamon rolls are too thick and dry!! This was moist and thin. Amazing!“

Both are delicious, but the lentil quinoa ones blew me away!! 🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽 They are so flavorful and the tortillas are crispy and crunchy, yet not hard. Also awesome is that they pack everything separately so the food isn’t a soggy mess when you get home. I added vegan sour cream I had at home and topped it with their guacamole, lettuce and salsa. Finally made it here and it did not disappoint. Great customer service as soon as I stepped in. The girl at the counter explained to me everything and answered all my questions in regards to the products.
Bakery has a few tables inside if you want to enjoy your goodies.
They had four type of gluten free breads, including a pretzel roll which I had never seen. They had a wide selection of Dairy free/Gluten free cupcakes. Amazing including a Lavender one! Looking forward to trying that one.
I got all the types of bread to take home loaf, sandwich roll, sub and pretzel.
I also purchased a few cupcakes to go.
Tried the pretzel bread in the car. Wow! You would not know it was gluten free!
They also do cakes to order.

If I had the disposable income I’d buy a private jet and fly to San Diego to eat here once a week and fly home, my carbon foot print would look like a slice of their pizza and I would okay with it cause my belly and soul would be content. The food was overall decent. The flavors were good, although most dishes were on the milder side in terms of spice. We tried the fried rice with tofu, garlic noodles as a shareable side, and veggie spring rolls as an appetizer. The dishes were well prepared, but the portion sizes felt a little smaller compared to expectations.

One small disappointment was with the veggie spring rolls. The menu picture showed three rolls cut into six pieces, which made it appear easier to share. However, we received three whole spring rolls without them being cut in half. Splitting them would have made sharing more convenient, especially for a group.

The restaurant could also consider offering additional sauces on the side so guests can adjust flavors and spice levels according to their preferences.

The drinks were a highlight — the mocktails were really good, and the Cherry Blossom Martini was a great cocktail choice.
