“Made reservations for my birthday. We had the bruschetta caprese as a starter. It was very fresh, tomatoes had tons of flavor. We ate every last shred of basil off the plate. My husband ordered the lobster which had amazing flavor and didn’t have the standard “seafood” taste I dread. I had the rissono which wasn’t at all greasy, or spicy. Decent portions and quality food. Servers are very well informed. I had two limontini’s which were delicious. Bar can get a bit behind in a rush. We finished with dessert, cheesecake with berries which was fine but not my favorite cheesecake. We will be back and sure to recommend!”

Our lunch was good and his entire demeanor and attitude were very pleasant. Worth stopping here since we were only in town for a doctor's visit at the hospital.”

“My wife and I went to the Black Angel for a late lunch about 4 pm today. We split a beef brisket sandwich with each us having a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. The soup was lukewarm and had to be reheated which was promptly and courteously done, as was all service rendered. This was our only complaint. Everything was excellent. Best Chicken Tortilla soup (not too spicy) ever had, The sandwich was great too. Yum!”

Mariah & Josh were responsive, friendly, and provided helpful guidance as we were planning. Cost was reasonable, too! They delivered the goodies and provided a freezer for us to use during our party. The sundae bar was a hit with guests and the graduates. We are already looking forward to hiring them again in two years for my son’s party. If you are considering having something similar for a gathering, I highly recommend giving them a call!”

“SO happy to see that Saigon’s Corner is now on Chomp! (Maybe this isn’t new, but I don’t remember seeing them there before). We got a ton of food for a very reasonable price, it was very well packaged (pho broth separate from noodles, veg, protein, etc), arrived in a very reasonable time (even on a Saturday night) and it was all fresh and really delicious. We easily have enough for lunch for both of us tomorrow as well. We will definitely be ordering again, and can’t wait!!”

Our cake was layered, moist, and the frosting was not that gross whipped topping stuff you get at some places. The cutting cake was absolutely beautiful, decorated with fresh flowers, perfectly blending our vision with the baker’s creative flair. Now, let me tell you about the lemon raspberry cake… I was talking about it for MONTHS before the wedding! Seriously, it was that good. From the initial tasting and consultation, the staff was super accommodating. We got to sample tons of different cake flavors alongside coffee and tea, which made the whole process so fun. The owner is amazing — friendly, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable about guest favorites and portioning, which helped us plan just right (hello, leftovers!). Day-of delivery? Seamless. We even dropped off extra florist stems the day before, and they were flexible and easygoing about timing. On the big day, the delivery was so quick and smooth that we didn’t even get a chance to thank the baker — that’s efficiency! Pro tip for future couples: Don’t stress about saving the top tier for your anniversary because DeLuxe provides a complimentary one. No more dry, freezer-burned cake! Huge RK treats, rich fudgy brownies, tiramisu, scones, muffins, cookies, soups, salads, sandwiches. Mismatched furniture with couches, side tables, different types of chairs and several seating areas. A casual, laid back atmosphere.”

If you want something quick an better than fast food this is a good place to go.”

“I have seen this coffee shop evolve from Capanna, to Coffee Emporium, and now Midnight Coffee. I spent a lot of time there while it was Capanna and loved it but I have to say, the changes they have made since it has become Midnight Coffee is my absolute favorite. From the great coffee, to the partnering with local pastry shops, to the new interior design, and the new Merch…..the VIBE is immaculate as people younger than me would say. Highly recommended making Midnight Coffee your new coffee spot in North Liberty and the Corridor region. They have other locations in Iowa city and tiffin as well I believe.”

“Iowa is the last place I’d expect to find good Indian food tbh. Place was recommended by The Iowa Gallivant, and did not disappoint. Got the lamb vindaloo and garlic naan and was very satisfied. Some of the best vindaloo and naan I’ve ever had, hands down. 10/10 recommend!”
