“My Fiancé and I discovered this restaurant after watching “Somebody Feed Fill” and were inspired and intrigued by Sarah’s restaurant and craftsmanship. We had our eye on getting reservations here for a very long time and we ended up landing lunch reservations for my Fiancés birthday (whom is also a Chef). We just happened to be seated by the expo line near the kitchen where we saw Sarah working. From start to finish our server Rose, and Sarah made sure our experience was personalized special. Sarah even signed the cookbook we bought and menu! Everything was on point from the food to the service. I can see why it’s so hard to get a reservation here! If we could rate our experience higher we would. We greatly appreciate the hospitality and dedication that this restaurant displays!“

“We had a great dinner, the food was delicious. I would order everything we had again(lobster dumplings, Thai chicken satay salad, heirloom tomatoes, short rib, and salmon). Dessert was amazing(bread pudding and malt ice cream). The service was attentive, our waitress made excellent recommendations. The noise level was good. It was well worth the travel from the North Shore.“

“My brother and I are in Chicago for a football game this weekend. We decided to hit up this restaurant primary because of the name. Obelix is a childhood comic that we have all loved growing up. The food was absolutely divine. I was definitely underdressed but luckily not turned away! Their take on sushi was breathtaking. Each bite was an explosion of well balanced flavors. The steak tartare was fresh and full of flavor. We ended up having the beef Wellington which took about an hour to prep but the server did a great job explaining the menu and the time frame for each meal. Beef Wellington was cooked to perfection. I tend to have stomach issues regardless of what restaurant I go to. Had absolutely no issues and was able to enjoy the rest of my night due to amazingly fresh ingredients. Staff was amazing. Food was amazing. On the pricier side but it all makes sense!!! Will certainly come back on my next trip!“

“One of the best wine shops that I know. The staff is very knowledgeable and they hand pick bottles from around the world. You can also have wine and cheese at their bar. A real gem for all the craft beer and wine connoisseurs!!!“

“I can't stop thinking about my very recent dining out at FIYA. The food was so delicious and I am a huge foodie. The combination of flavors were different than most middle eastern dishes. We ordered the roasted carrots, corn, khachapuri and lamb kebobs. A FEAST! We wanted to be out on the charming garden and the heater made the experience even happier. Our waiter was wonderful - knew a lot, was witty and charming. I can not wait to return and keep coming to taste all the other dishes I haven't yet tried and repeat those that I already have!“

“I went for dinner on a Friday night with some friends and had an amazing meal. The atmosphere was great and our server was even better. Yohannie was super attentive (and funny!) even with it being busy in the restaurant. She made our night and contributed to our awesome experience.

“Brit in the USA - what an amazing place. Don’t let the outside fool you, this bar has an incredible atmosphere along with some amazing food.

We ordered the burgers along with some fries, we had them medium and they were amazing. The portion size was spot on for the UK pallet.

Would recommend as a must visit for anyone in the area.“

“We had the best time here for an early dinner before heading downtown for a show. Highlights of the meal are the French Onion Toast and Ricotta Gnocci. They also have a mocktail menu which had some delicious drinks on it. Will definitely be back soon!“

“I had a great time wine tasting here! We sat out on their patio, which was secluded and quiet. The perfect armosphere for a catch up with friends or a date night. The food is delicious too. My favorite was the shrimp ceviche. On Wednesdays, they do happy hour specials on tasting flights! I really enjoyed the Mediterranean white flight. Their broader wine list is also incredibly diverse, representing many regions and flavors. I’ll definitely be back!“

“We were in town for a weekend and stopped by Pop’s for a few glasses of champagne before dinner. The wine list is extensive, with several awesome grower champagnes. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, particularly Champagne Jesus (you’ll know him when you see him). Highly recommend stopping in. You won’t be disappointed!“

“We had a benefit here for our nonprofit located in Chicago. The Press Room was perfect for a fun, unique and wonderful experience. The staff were attentive and kind, beverages were excellent and the food was delicious. Most of our guests had never been here and I am sure they will be coming back. I highly reccomend The Press Room for an event with 70 or less people! We can't wait to go back there next year.“

Roberto -the owner- and Aymi, Daniela, Charles… so good to talk about wine with them. The atmosphere is fantastic, exactly as I expect a wine bar must be: pure, direct, cozy, minimalist. “I called ahead on a Tuesday for their dinner reservations, we were told they weren't busy that night so we went ahead and made the one hour drive just for their sushi and their great reviews. We had the best experience and their sushi was truly top notch. We basically ordered everything on the menu from sushi, caviar to desserts and drinks. they did not disappoint, customer service was superb. The owner even came outside to attend us, he showed up with his own bottle of sake. I truly appreciate the great experience we had at this beautiful and clean restaurant. “Stopped in about 30 minutes before the dining room closed, not realizing they were closing soon, and still had such a great experience. I ordered the BLT and fries and everything was really good. “Came here a few weeks ago with our niece who lives in the neighborhood and knows we love good wine. It did not disappoint! We had the large charcuterie board which was plenty for 3 people. For the wine we had the sparkling albarino, a spanish rose and pinot noir. The service was friendly and helpful explaining the different wines. Highly recommend and will come back.“

We shared the Arugula Beet Salad and Grilled Octopus apps, then had the Grilled Salmon (really tasty!) and Chicken Verdura (tasted as expected) entrées. Our 2 friends walked in about 5 minutes after us for a table, Host proceeds to not automatically deny them and asks the servers. Servers apparently had a problem with having another table until another server came worked it out. Finally, Wife and I walk back in to join our friends and overhear 2 servers discussing with the host about not seating anyone after 9pm (they close at midnight btw) Great to know that you wanting to close early is more important than actually doing your jobs and making easy money (we only got drinks and 2 apps) Pathetic, will not come back. “Popped in for brunch with my parents. We literally had the place all to ourselves. The servers are so nice.

I got the Clasico with 2 eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, and quinoa potato hashbrowns. I wasn’t a huge fan of the potatoes. The spices were a bit overpowering and too much of a departure from your typical breakfast hashbrowns. My mom had the granola bowl and loved it.

I look forward to coming back and trying their dinner menu.“
