“My Fiancé and I discovered this restaurant after watching “Somebody Feed Fill” and were inspired and intrigued by Sarah’s restaurant and craftsmanship. We had our eye on getting reservations here for a very long time and we ended up landing lunch reservations for my Fiancés birthday (whom is also a Chef). We just happened to be seated by the expo line near the kitchen where we saw Sarah working. From start to finish our server Rose, and Sarah made sure our experience was personalized special. Sarah even signed the cookbook we bought and menu! Everything was on point from the food to the service. I can see why it’s so hard to get a reservation here! If we could rate our experience higher we would. We greatly appreciate the hospitality and dedication that this restaurant displays!“

“One of the best wine shops that I know. The staff is very knowledgeable and they hand pick bottles from around the world. You can also have wine and cheese at their bar. A real gem for all the craft beer and wine connoisseurs!!!“

“We had the best time here for an early dinner before heading downtown for a show. Highlights of the meal are the French Onion Toast and Ricotta Gnocci. They also have a mocktail menu which had some delicious drinks on it. Will definitely be back soon!“

“My favorite burger that I’ve ever had in the city. I could not believe how incredible this place was. Got a pretty cheap bottle considering the quality and it was perfect. Everything else on the menu looked amazing and I can’t wait to come back and try the rest. “This is a lovely, but very expensive downtown spot. Everything is perfect and lovely, however, I really miss the original location, in Lakeview. They used to have a Sunday jazz brunch and a full menu and it was just a great place to host a party, which I did, for my parents ' anniversary one year. I wish they still had a space and a menu like they used to. But I am glad it still exists in this incarnation. It's very sophisticated and upscale - a nice departure from a lot of the chains now so prevalent in the city.“

“Obelix is always fantastic! We went on a Monday and they were super busy, which is awesome to see. On Mondays they offer 1/2 price bottles of bubbles and also had a selection of pastries available (sooo good!!). Top notch service from the entire staff and Ashley, our server, was lovely. “We stayed in our RV on property as part of our Harvest Host membership.

We each had a sampler where you can try up to 4 meads, which is made from honey. They have one that tastes like pino grigio (dry meade who knew), another that takes like apple pie (delicious), another like PB & J (yummy), they have spicy mead (very hot and delicious), etc. They were all delicious! Most of their meads are gluten and dairy free with the exception of the meads fermented in bourbon barrels.
I would love to come back for a paint and sip party and other special events. They had candle making tonight.
The outdoor seating in the back is a beautiful garden setting perfect for any occasion.

“I had a great time wine tasting here! We sat out on their patio, which was secluded and quiet. The perfect armosphere for a catch up with friends or a date night. The food is delicious too. My favorite was the shrimp ceviche. On Wednesdays, they do happy hour specials on tasting flights! I really enjoyed the Mediterranean white flight. Their broader wine list is also incredibly diverse, representing many regions and flavors. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Made reservations after a celebration and were greeted warmly (which was wonderful since we were coming in from below zero temperatures) and given a cozy table in the corner. Our waiter, Gio, was attentive and our water glass never dipped below half. We also were cared for by Luigi, the bar manager. The cocktails were top notch (we tried several!) and we enjoyed the crisp prosciutto on our flatbread. Save room for dessert - the phyllo cake was extraordinary. We loved the whole atmosphere and will be back when in Chicago!“

“Loved Nettare! Went for a birthday brunch and the waiter was super, super friendly — even gave me a complimentary cookie. Was very good about giving recommendations as well. The breakfast sandwich (without bacon, with confit mushrooms) was amazing, as was the lamb sausage sandwich. The potatoes are a must-try with the giardinera aioli. Also loved their Winter in Japan drink and Vanilla Maple Iced Latte. Their cinnamon bun is also really good — has orange zest in it which makes it stand out. And SUCH a nice space — very green.

“Went to see the (7pm) Nutcracker ballet show and made (5:30pm) dinner reservations at Florian. We had drinks, prime rib and chicken cacciatore. We weren’t a fan of the bread rolls. Dinner was delicious.
We also pre-ordered drinks and dessert for intermission - walked back into the restaurant without waiting - ready at the same table for us. The dessert was amazing and the drinks were strong.
It was a great first time experience and we plan to be back.“

“We loved our meal last night for Valentine’s Day! pair the duck bread with the squash soup. It was absolutely delicious. The goat cheese salad with the apple dressing was equally as good. My steak was cooked perfectly. We had an amazing espresso martini and a delightful crisp lemon cocktail. My husband also liked their old fashioned. We split caramel ice cream with pineapple and it was a great finishing touch. The Moscato d Asti never disappoints either this is our fourth Valentine’s Day with Brindille and it has been our tradition ever since we have been together. “Eduardo’s Enoteca in Gold Coast is one of the cutest spots in the city for a romantic date night! It has a super cozy interior and a delicious menu of wines, apps, and the most incredible pastas! Here’s the breakdown of what we ordered: -Pomona Spritz -Da Amico -Arancini -Cheese Board -Spicy Vodka Gnocchi -Pappardelle Bolgnese -Pumpkin Cheesecake We had such an incredible meal here and I’d highly recommend to anyone in the area!“

“I have been to Frasca's multiple times and it never disappoints. I went last night with my husband and we enjoyed it very much.

Our server was FANTASTIC! She was kind, quick, and helpful.

We started the night with the arancini, they were delicious risotto balls. There are 5 of them, so be weary if you want to split between two of them. My only critique is that they needed a little salt. My husband had the 4 star old fashion, which was just okay.

We also had the Mezze, which gives you three options. We had the mozzarella, tomato, basil bruschetta which was very good. We also had the red rock cheese and sweet soppresetta for a meat. It came with grapes, pickles, nuts, jam, and a Parmesan lavish. It was very good and a fun way to split some items. It was a lot of appetizers for just the two of us so I'd suggest going smaller depending on your party.

For our mains we had the pappardelle bolognese & orecchiette scarpiello. The bolognese is delicious, you can't go wrong with a classic. The orecchiette scarliello was divine, I could drink the sauce. The chicken in it was also a great add. I did wish the kale was chopped slightly smaller so it didn't overpower some bites. Otherwise, both were great. I would order them again. My husband had a glass of Cantina tritana montepulciano with dinner. It was very good wine, not too dry or sweet. He truly enjoyed it.

We finished the night with the tiramisu. It was pretty good, not the best I've ever had, but it was decent. The portion was worth the cost.
