“Headed to New Orleans in July, and Sweet Vegan Soul Food will be my first stop after leaving the airport. This will be my third visit to this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious! The facility is clean and the staff is so friendly. When traveling I’m always excited to locate a tasty vegan restaurant and this place is my spot when in New Orleans! I can’t rave about it’s food enough…simply delicious!“

You’ll thank us, I promise. 🤤 FIVE STAR REVIEW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The meal started out with a “gift from the chef.” A savory leek custard, topped with pumpkin mousse and a sprinkle of sweet & salty crunch, presented in a perfectly carved eggshell. We were given spoon bread as well, which was the lightest, airiest and creamiest corn muffin ever to cross my lips. The sommelier told us that the secret ingredient was sour cream. I guess the secret is out now! 😉 Our sommelier suggested Pinot Noir. Monty chose Belle Glos Las Alturas. Let’s just say that we started shopping for it online immediately after the first taste. It has a fuller body than a typical Pinot Noir, so smooth and juicy. Such a perfect pairing. 🤌🏼 Monty had the pecan-smoked venison tartare with celery root and mountain rose apple. The flavors and textures were out of this world! We combined a few bites of the tartare with a bit of spoon bread. Omg, I’ll say it again: Out. Of. This. World. 💥 I ordered the gnocchi "black and blue" with black truffles, jumbo lump crab and parmesan. Tender, yet slightly firm, with a delicate, pillowy texture, but the truffle took it to a whole ‘nuther level! They gnocchi’d it out of the park with this one. For dinner we shared duck three ways with Bayou Cora grits, foie gras, confit, chestnut mushrooms and cherry bounce. Y’all, I’ve had foie gras, but never before like this. An intensely flavorful silky texture that literally bursts on your tongue. It was absolutely divine. Dessert was hummingbird cake with creole cheesecake, bruleed banana and pineapple ice cream. I just don’t know what to say except the pastry chef knows exactly what she is doing!! This was definitely meal to remember with the love of my life, my favorite dining companion, and my partner in culinary escapades. I love our journey of flavorful adventures, seasoned with spice and a love that mirrors the diversity of a well-crafted menu. “We had the most amazing time at Cane & Table. Our group was there to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The service was amazing and we made fast friends with Kate (our server) and Sam. Every single thing we ordered was better than the next (we ordered pretty much every thing on the menu). The drinks were the best we’ve had, especially the Paloma Thank you for a wonderful night. “Bob Boudreau and I were in NOLA for 9 nights. Three of the nights we had reservations at other places with family. Our 1st night we looked up and found Jewel of the South. We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great staff. GREAT ALL AROUND! FIVE STARS for Jewel of the South.“

“The first thing you notice is the quirky decor & immediately feel at home. The second is the excellent customer service, southern hospitality at its finest. I ordered the crab cakes with poached eggs on top. I will never eat a crab cake anywhere BUT here. Their food was delectable and by far the BEST food I’ve had while in NOLA. Our server gave great free entertainment advice for us tourists and was highly attentive. All this to say, don’t come to NOLA & miss out on Elizabeth’s. They are a MUST experience.“

“Slightly delayed review but who cares. While I no longer live in New Orleans, this is one of my favorite places I’d been to. I still dream of my dinner from NYE 2022 🤤 I believe it was a rabbit mole, which was absolutely 🔥 and the huitlacoche quesadilla. The mole is forever imprinted on my soul!“

“I just wanted to say what an amazing staff you have! My husband and I have been trying to get to drip for a while now and we finally made it. It was a spur of the moment so I didn’t make reservations. We sat at the bar and to see the interactions with the staff warmed my heart! Emily ( behind the bar) was excellent! She was so patient with the staff, while she never stopped working, she still made time to tend to her customers, answer questions for the staff and even teach them how to do things to help. I adore your establishment and wish we would ah e come sooner! But we WILL be back! and you guys will always be a top recommendation for everyone who asks places to go! Your staff from the door to the bar EXCELLENT! Kudos! the desserts and drinks were amazing! Cheers to DRIP and to many more years!“

“Denied access to a legally allowed service dog without any interest in making accommodation. The dog tucked immediately under the table where she is supposed to be and the server (maybe owner) came over immediately asking for paperwork, which isn't required in the United States. Any paperwork provided is typically bought off the internet. Don't waste your time or money here. Sharing their intolerance on every platform. Also just found out that the person who told us we couldn't eat there laughed and tried to joke with the rest of our party and offer free drinks after the fact like that was going to fix splitting our dinner party.“
