“Immediately as we pulled up, were welcomed in, and seated. Staff is friendly, and the older guy who welcomed us in had an infectiously nice energy. I ordered iced green tea, and a Jazz roll. The green tea was about what you’d expect. The Jazz roll was great all around, just enough food for a light meal, great flavor, and enjoyable texture. The atmosphere was a little generic, but not off putting in any way.
Over all, a great place to check out if you want some good Japanese food.”

“Love love!! Came here with husband and 2 year old toddler for dinner hibachi, staff were so friendly and my son enjoyed it! My son got some rice and ate a lot of it. He finished and was ready to get up. My husband took him over to the front and he played with the projector light on the floor, while a waiter would mess with him by poking around the corner, then I finished and we packed up and were getting ready to leave, Then the waitress brought him a light up hat to play with!! Very happy with how the staff treated my son! We loved the food and it was amazing hibachi! Will be back!”

“I loved the food!! It was indubitably the best meal I have had in a little while. I had my server as Ally!!! Ally was a slay queen!!! She had over five tables, yet she still maintained a positive attitude and a smile on her face every time we saw her. When servers are stressed, they typically don't smile, but she smiled throughout her night, making ours a good one. Specifically for my brother, it was his birthday, and he flew home soon. So it was a relief to know his last Louisiana meal was yummy with a good server. Also, I do not know the name of the other girl, but she had covered the drinks order down, and she was also super sweet. I love the atmosphere where people help out others; it provides a very joyful aura to be around! To conclude, Ally and the other girl were extremely sweet and kind. The staff exuded warmth and kindness, even amidst their stressful moments, making the experience all the more memorable. And the food? Phenomenal—truly a culinary delight you won’t want to miss! “We enjoyed the best shrimp poboys and onion rings! The bread they use for the poboys is wonderful! The shrimp were a perfect size, perfectly battered up and perfectly fried. The size of the sandwich was just right as well, and overstuffed the way we like it. The lettuce, tomato, and pickles were fresh and added the perfect touch. As for the thick cut homemade onion rings, those were honestly the best onion rings we have ever had from anywhere. I could make a meal out of their onion rings and I might just do that one day! I must add that we feel the prices are very affordable. Other places in town are charging more for food that isn’t nearly as good.”

All these places need to take the word crab out of rangoon because there is none and theirs sucked, had a sweet taste! My husband got the shrimp fried rice and it was the best I’ve had in Slidell. The presentation was wonderful, and Miss Marguerite took her time going through all of the cakes discussing the history of each cake of all the ingredients and her long-term love of what she does!!! she took the time for each decision on the two cakes that we ordered. we tasted all of her cakes in the presentation how it was given to us was very beautiful !! I would highly recommend coming here for your cakes or any other desserts that she offers!!! we will definitely come back!!!!!”

“This was my first time to go to Sedra, I went yesterday for a special meeting with a girls' group. We all had great service; the owner and her daughter Mia are onsite and there to serve you. The wait staff was personable and accommodating. I am on Weight Watchers and try to stay within point limits when I go out. The Acadian Catfish comes fried and had a sauce with rice and veggies on the side, they grilled the fish for me, and instead of rice I had a double helping of steamed broccoli. The fish was cooked perfectly and also had the right amount of seasoning. I would definitely go back. They are open for breakfast and lunch til 3:00 pm. My husband and I will go back and try breakfast.”

“My wife and I visited for the first time tonight. It has been a while since we had Lebanese Tea and it was excellent. For an appetizer, we had the Baba Ghanouj. It was really good. My wife had the Moussaka and it was very good. I had the Albasha Platter with the Chicken Shawarma. Very good flavor. I love Falafel and they had the best I have ever tasted. We will be back to try other things on the menu. Everything looked so good, what we had was so flavorful and all of it was delivered with excellent service.”

“Food was good, but the service on the buffet was very lacking. We came especially for the French toast, and all while we there (all of 45 minutes) it was never filled. For the price of the buffet all items should be filled in a timely manner. Our waitress apologized, but still no French toast. 😒”

“This place is a great value! I remember going to CiCi's Pizza when I was younger, but I haven't been to one in about 20 years because there aren't any locations that are near where I live.

I really wanted to relive my younger days, by revisiting this franchise.

With that said, the staff was friendly, but the food is basically what you pay for. There's not a lot of selection, and it's mediocre Pizza. Now, don't get me wrong, the pizza isn't terrible, it's just not amazing.

And, as much as the staff tried to keep up, it was just hard to keep all of the dining tables clean. I couldn't find a clean table to sit at, when I arrived, but to be fair, there are a lot of kids running around, with inattentive parents.

This is still a great place if you want an inexpensive quick meal.”

“I live in Slidell, La. And me and my husband are always ordering take out from Taste of China. I realized I never leave a review. Let me explain. This place always have a nice crowd of people when I pull up. The workers here are always welcoming and kind. On 01-01-2025, we drove up to the parking lot of Taste of China. I decided I was going to place an order. I called the phone of the restaurant and a lady (name unknown), answered to take my order. I was a little distraught after having an argument with my husband. I couldn’t even think about what I usually order. But the lady (name unknown) on the phone was so polite, patient, and kind helped me to choose my order. I ordered a chicken wing plate, with shrimp fried rice, and and an egg roll. I also ordered a side of Crab Ragoons. Well I asked if I can get my rice without the peas end carrots, and just add fried eggs and scallops. I know she must have thought why would I want scallops in my rice? I really meant to say I wanted scallions and fried eggs added to my shrimp fried rice. Again my head wasn’t on straight. But she explained there were 3 wings that came with the order. And the egg rolls came two for the price. It was perfect for me. She totaled my price to $26 and some cents. I first thought I was paying too much but I forgot I ordered the Crab Rangoons for another $6. My husband didn’t place an order, he was in his feelings. He went in to pay for my order. When I got home the plate was so hot, steam was coming from it. And it was a little chilly outside. I opened the top and once I started eating the rice, it was all over. The rice had big shrimps in it, flavored very well, and lots of egg. The chicken wings are jumbo wings, fried nice and crispy, and the right amount of seasoning. The crab Ragoons are my favorite. They were nice and hot not too crispy and hard on the ends like some places fry them. The cream cheese had the right amount of pineapple in it. They were perfectly cooked like I love to eat them. The food here is the best. We never go wrong or complain when we order here. I took the pics after I thought about leaving a review. Half my food was already gone. 😁 I’m going to continue to order from here. Thank you for a great experience every time we place an order at Taste of China.”

“The latte was pretty good. They let you customize and mix/match so you're able to make it your own per se. I had the salted caramel with the added 7 shot special, but switched out the white chocolate for vanilla since white chocolate isn't real chocolate.

Their online menu is out of date, so keep that in mind when you're looking things up before going. But they have the updated one on their ordering tablets for you to look at to customize everything. They of course have a bigger menu up to look at too, but as we went in their large board hasn't been updated yet.

They have no tables or chairs to sit in when you walk up. It's literally just walk up, step inside, place your order and leave. They may be ordering or waiting on furniture to come in? We tried them in their first few weeks of opening.

They had a decent line wrapped around the building but no one inside so we went and were greeted right away. The baristas were friendly and seemed to know at least basics of espresso, always a plus ☺️. Service was quick and they made sure we liked our drinks before we left.”

Their churros filled with creamy custard are absolutely delicious and every dish is full of flavor. “Amazing Chicago style deep dish pizza. We drove 1.5 hrs round trip just to try this place and can't wait to go back. Our host was great and full of smiles and great recommendations, she suggested the Big Apple and that's what we went with...amazing. We also had the parmesan garlic bites also fantastic. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming with indoor and outdoor seating. 😊 Also, it is family owned and ran. Always great seeing families doing great things together.”

“Have never had a bad experience in this casual, cool restaurant located in the heart of Olde Towne in Slidell. Outdoor benches are available as well as indoor seating. The food is consistently delicious. On this visit, we had a poblano pepper stuffed with cheese and the gnarly steak tacos. Also recommend the ceviche appetizer. Great for those wanting to avoid carbs and it’s enough for an entire meal.”
