“I would like to pass along my review on Lefkes. Specifically, the extraordinary "ambassador"--the Lefkes manager--Eva who greeted our party. She greeted our party at the door, made our group feel special while making each individual feel recognized in a sea of humanity of guests. We were celebrating an office birthday party. She greeted each person with an elegance be-fitting of European royalty, with class and style. She ensured we were seated with a wonderful view of the dancing and action, while being able to enjoy our personal space. The food was to die for...she assisted the staff in serving the food and clearing our table to keep our dinner moving. When one of the people in our party requested a frappe, Eva asked one of the servers, "Dimtry" to prepare a classical Frappe. It was rich and creamy...Eva capped off our evening by having birthday pastries brought out with the flaring streamer...a memorable event from a very memorable person! thank you Eva and Lefkes! it became our Greek vacation! “Mermaid, whether this location or others, has really fresh and tasty seafood. This location is very convenient being off of (not in) Times Square. I love going there for their small bites during their happy hour, which does include weekends! They have far more than oysters and I love their clam chowder, raw fish dishes like tartar, and lobster knuckles.“

The food is awesome. First night we got the Shrimp Ala Sabry's. Amazing. Second night we got the Seafood Combo for two!! Incredible. The prices were also so reasonable!

“We came at 5 PM on a Wednesday and it was calm and peaceful. The food tasted clean with a focus on the ingredients natural flavor. The chicken was fried very well and it's taste was fairly light with a hint of MSG. The galbi-jjim was tender and youll find yourself dipping it back in the sauce after each bite. Nothing was excessive in flavor which might be a downside for someone expecting heavy pocha style flavors. Even the kimchi wasn't too sour and had a crunch to it. It's unique and healthy, plus the place is gorgeous and a great place for a date.“

“I took my son to Empire Steak House for his 15th birthday, and overall it was a great experience. The service was amazing, attentive, welcoming, and made the night feel special from start to finish. The sides, mashed potatoes and baked potato, were just okay and could've used more flavor, even with butter, salt, and pepper. But the steak... absolutely incredible. Easily one of the best steaks in the city. Definitely a spot I'd return to for the quality of the meat and top-tier service.“

“We had a wonderful birthday dinner. They had some cute birthday confetti on the table and a birthday card which was a nice touch. The dumplings, beet salad, scallops, brussel sprouts,and stuffed shrimp were all delicious! The drinks were great. Dessert selection was nice - the lemon tart was fantastic. Loved listening to the live jazz band which raised the bar for the atmosphere. Will definitely return. High class restaurant with high class service!“

“I went with a group of friends for my birthday last night. It was AMAZING. The service was great, everyone was so friendly. The place itself was so clean and cute, really cool vibe. The Apps were great, Hush Puppies and Fried Calamari, yum. I did a make-your-own Seafood Boil. OH MY GOD. The New Zealand Mussels, King Crab and Dungeness Crab was out of this world in the Cajun Butter Sauce. I HIGHLY recommend this spot and will be going back.“

“Friend who tried Cap’t Loui in Cape Cod highly recommended it when she saw it open in Sunnyside, Queens. Prices are good, so you don’t have to wait to treat yourself only on special occasions. The Capt’n Loui sauce boil was really good and 1 pound per person was very filling. The garlic noodles as a side was delicious, and we tried it dipped in the boil’s sauce, too. Service was spectacular. Minh Kha gave us his favorites as suggestions and cleaned up after us well. All of my favorite pop tunes were playing as well. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be back.“

From the beautiful interior to the stunning plating, everything was amazing—and the food tasted absolutely heavenly. Even the word “luxury” feels too small for this place.

“Didn’t expect to find my best crispy pork belly of the year at a Thai spot!!! The skin was insanely crisp yet slightly chewy. The dipping sauce on the side was perfectly balanced.

For the main, we went with the panang short ribs. The beef was coated in a rich, mildly spicy curry. We added steamed veggies instead of rice and they fit curry.“

“Took my visiting sister there on a Tuesday evening. She was taken aback by the level of service that made us feel like VIPs! After getting a great window seat, my Sis jokingly said, "How romantic, too bad I'm here with my brother". Our gorgeous server Michelle was spectacular. She made multiple trips to the bar to find 'just the right wine' for my sister's particular taste and made two special requests to the kitchen on our behalf. Michelle's calming presence and 'in the moment' attitude made us feel very special. Being an intellectual herself, Michelle engaged with us most excellently in conversation. I've had a few nice meals before at the Chart House, but this by far was the best experience ever thanks to Michelle.“

“Docks is an institution! I am so glad it is still around and going strong. 40 years ago I used to hang out there after work to unwind and socialize with my colleagues. We were young and loved the energy the place exuded. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a new colleague for happy hour and it did not disappoint. In my defense, doesn't this mean my review of Le Petit Pecheur (which always makes me think of George Bizet's underrated opera, for all you Romantic Era nerds) wil be...purer? No annoying comparisons and such?

I digress. We came, we seafood-ed, we smiled.

- Fried Sardines: My favorite dish of the night. Perfectly breaded, lightly crispy, totally filling, yet not briney or heavy. I think I'm in love....

- Baba Ganoush + Hummus + Pita: I forget why we ordered these, but they were tasty and creamy and made a nice distraction while we waited for our entrees.

- Grilled Octopus: Perfectly chewy and zesty, exactly the kind of poulpe you might enjoy on the beachy coast of the southern Mediterranean.

- Scallops: Also well cooked, and tastier than they had any right to be considering the simple seasoning.

- Shrimp Linguine in butter garlic sauce: I mean, you really can't go wrong with a dish like this. My only regret was having to share it with five other friends.

- Branzino: Butterflied, tender and full of flavor. There are many branzino dishes out there. This one won't break the bank, and will leave both your stomach and your wallet happy.

If you need more, definitely pad your meal with Mashed Potatoes and Fries because carbs are happy things, and happy things deserve to be eaten.

Space is ample, as are the portions, and service is quick and friendly. They play a lovely mix of North African French and Arabic music, which just adds to the beachy resort town atmosphere, IMO. Perhaps one day I'll finally make it to Abuqir, and the cycle will be complete.“

“After eating so much (pizza etc )we needed to eat something different, spicy and booked this gem,as it as near to our hotel. It was also our 40th wedding anniversary. We are from U.K. This was amazing perfectly cooked tasty home made authentic Indian cuisine. We had mocktails ( lavender was refreshing ). The tandoori lamb chops x4 were full meat seasoned beautifully and delicious. All other sides perfect too. Now in U.K. we hate restaurant Indian puddings they are usually bought in and awful/failure. After finding out the chef is the owner and a recipient Michelin star we were convinced to stay,try and this was the first time we have had authentic home made puddings; try Kulfi with rose water & also Indian rice pudding. The whole meal was exceptional great value and we will recommend this restaurant to anyone else visiting New York. Easy to find off Times Square /Broadway. “Love this new location. Staff very friendly. Only complaint would be that they discontinued the free little chocolate puddings at the end. One of the signature nice things I always loved about this place. It seems they want to push the paid dessert menu. Sign of the times I suppose. Nevertheless, great spot.“

“I was very disappointed in the quality of the food, seasoning, sauce. Just extremely bland. The food tasted like when you go to a fish market and you get steamed food and though that can be good that's not what you expect when you go to shaking crab. The butter and garlic sauce was very thin and just had butter and garlic And it was very oily, I don't even think it was real butter. We had to ask for seasoning. But it wasn't the same. at all. Also they kept omitting items out of our food When we dined in. And, We had a to go order and we paid for eggs and noodles and when we got home we found out it wasn't there. So I'm going to give shake and crab another go but it will have to be in Brooklyn. Because the one that was in Harlem has permanently closed and when I tell you, that's sauce? superb! If the owner or manager is reading this please go back to the original. I understand that you are probably mostly around white people and they like to complain about things being too spicy but you're going to lose business that way. The people that like your food will come. But if you change what you're known for. It's ultimately going to be your demise.“
